I gave the property condition and facility a 2star because our rooms climate control module was faulty and the rooms temperature couldn’t be controlled, uncomfortable! Asked twice at the front desk for this to be addressed, said they would, then nothing happened, no explanation. Pretty bad form, we come here frequently, time for a change.

They didn’t respect my reservation for a single king bed. I accepted the first night in the wrong room because they informed me that there were no available rooms. When we were ready to change, they informed me that I wouldn’t be able to because the other guest had made a bad use of the installation. Noise room and with a lot of issues, French open alone.

When we checked in, we specifically asked for a quiet room. They gave us a room on the 4th floor. The following morning they started constructions at 7:00 a.m. sanding walls on the 5th floor. On Friday night they had a private party on the 6th floor which has a bar. The music and banging from the celling came through our room. At 11:00 a.m. we called and they gave us another room to sleep in. The noise fromt he street and the noise in this hotel was way too much to handle. Do not recommend staying there at all.

I’d recommend, with some caution.

Excellent location near food, museums, shops. It was a bit cool, so we didn’t take advantage of the pool or spa. Overall a great property. However, the lighting in our room flickered and there was a pervasive mildew smell from in the bathroom. The wifi was almost nonexistent, so working from the hotel was impossible. That was incredibly frustrating and wasn’t just our room. With that in mind, I may not be able to stay there again.

We love our time in Mexico City and the Habita was a great place to stay. Located in the beautiful Polanco area of the city, it was close to museums and great restaurants. The staff was welcoming and kind. The food was excellent. I would definitely return.

Roque the manager and his staff are Great , Arturo bell boy is clearly over qualified.
In this case the the property should have an upgrade , you can notice a 20 years old hotel everywhere. Wrong policies, charging for hot choco for my kids when the breakfast is included.

The bathroom had lot of Hair on the shower wall. I took a Pic. The lights doesn’t work adequately. The lady at the lobby make awful drink. 16ozz but literally she add just a drops. Yes a droops. I missed my flight because AA canceled the flight and they *Abita* don’t provide any refund. The Bathroom had ceeling Had humidity. I think you can get other options with better price. This Hotel is overpricing for what you get.

This time it was not as good as other times. Too much noise early morning. I think there was some maintenance work out there. On the other hand, I supposed was VIP but they did not mention anyhting, nor did not get any upgrade. Except for this, everything was fine at the hotel, as usual.

The worst

I was with a big expectations to stay on the boutique hotel on the Marriott chain. However the hotel didn't made any of them. Even if i am gold member they didn't give you free water. It was 40 farenheit at night and they didn't have heater system. Try to get somebody from the reception it was a miracle i spend 15 minutes on the phone listening music and i finally decided to go down abd get my water. For the price it was the most deception hotel I had been

Disappointing rooms, ice terrace

We selected this hotel for outs location and our interest in the architecture. The glass facadein the pictures is a handsome trick, but in every other eay the design is banal and the construction quality is surprisingly poor. The exception here is the very well designed and pleasant roof terrace and pool. For those not interested in architecture, the roof terrace is a great experience and the restaurant was very good. The location is very good for avcess to great restaurants and museums.

Habita is in a great location. Room was comfortable with a great bed, a nice patio and a fantastic bathroom and shower. The decor is minimalist . The best surprise of all was the excellent breakfast buffet. We thought this hotel was great value and made for the best night's sleep we had during our visit to Mexico City.

Its a nice hotel bit I was dissapointed they dont have any free water. They charge for fancy water bottles only. Also we had a super bad smell coming from the bathroom sewer which stank the whole room and made the experience unpleasant.

Decent hotel in Polanco

We mostly enjoyed our stay at Habita Hotel -- the hotel has very nice amenities (pool, hot tub, sauna, and rooftop bar). But our room was a deluxe king that was not well maintained. There were small stains on the carpet and the drapes and our bed's headboard had chipped paint on it. The room is advertised as having a balcony, but it is very narrow -- I imagine it's good to smoke cigarettes, but has no other function beyond that, you can't really sit out there. It was nice to have some fresh air in the room occasionally. The hotel staff were all amazing and the complimentary breakfast was beyond my expectations -- fresh juice, charcuterie and cheese were available in addition to more standard things like yogurt and cereal and toast. The hotel is walking distance to Chapultepec park and the neighborhood (Polanco) has several highly rated restaurants. Beyond that Polanco is mainly a high end shopping neighborhood so there is not much to see walking around. It is very centrally located and easy to get to other neighborhoods in the city. Please be aware that hotels.com lists this hotel as having an \"24-hour airport shuttle\" which is incorrect. It is not a complimentary airport shuttle. The hotel has drivers that can come and pick you up, but you have to pay for this service.

Hotel was located perfectly located to nearby attractions and shopping. Accommodations are rather basic but staff is quite friendly. There is a noticeable lack of any wall art in the hallways and guest rooms which stood out to me and made the place feel a bit \"cold\", Overall, I would stay here again!

The room I had was sleek and modern, with a nice bathtub. It was a great place to relax after a long day at the pyramids of Teotihuacan.

Unpleasant and disappointing

The welcome was nice and staff was friendly, but we were not informed of the internal construction going on. The construction started 8 am and was extremely loud and did not allow us to sleep. When we mentioned it to reception, they said they would tell them to start later, but the same thing happened on our second morning at the hotel. We should have been informed of the construction in advance to allow us to make a decision as to whether or not we wanted to stay there. This ruined our sleep and mornings on vacation. In addition to the internal construction, the second night in the hotel, the guests across the hall were making a raucous in the hallway at 4 am, yelling and all. I called the reception and complained. They said they would send security. When security arrived, instead of telling them to be quiet, he was offering them more wine or beer. I had to open the door and ask the guests to stop making noise so I could sleep, which was an uncomfortable situation as they were clearly intoxicated. I am disappointed in how the hotel handled the matter after I called reception. Lastly, there was construction at the pool and it was out of service.

Annoying problems with internet and the bad smell in bathroom. TV screen (old) is too small with bad reception and poor channels choice. Some noise from the street.
Bed mattress a bit old. Rooms haven’t change in 15 years: could be modernized/updated.
Breakfast is made with really very good products. Very nice attention to get fruits in the room everyday. Great housekeeping with attention to details.

Habita is a fabulous botique hotel in Mexico City. Staff were professional, courteous, and customer-oriented. We were greeted with a complimentary mexcal/tequilla drink at the reception when we checked in, which was a wonderful and much appreciated surprise.

The air conditioning was very strong in the room (it gets cold fast) and couldn't really be turned down. The bed (\"queen\"-size) for the room was pretty comfortable but a bit small (smaller than the typical Canadian \"queen\"-size). The duvet was equally smaller than expected for two adults.

Having said that, the room service and cleaning was miraculous. Bathroom and the room were kept spotless. You can tell they use pretty good materials for the bathroom compared to most other hotel rooms which adds to the decor and chic atmosphere of the place.

Great service on the rooftop pool as well. Delicious complimentary breakfast buffet though they were a bit slow to replace items that ran out.

The staff are super relaxed/friendly. The environment makes you feel at home. The hotel is small/boutique, very comfy in that it doesn't have the factory feel the established hotel chains have. Sleeping is tough for anyone who is noise sensitive, and hotel owners should consider seriously investing in double paned windows.

Peaceful home in the chaotic city

Excellent design by Enrique Norten, with an impressively courteous team of staff. I had miscalculated and arrived in Mexico City by red-eye, and the front desk made me a complimentary espresso as I waited at 4am for the cleaners to refresh the room, and let me in for a morning check-in.

Room is beautiful and serene after busy days and nights of meetings, and there is surround sound lounge music preset for the main room and bathroom that can be adjusted.

Mexico City and Habit are both wonderful. The lobby was small and lovely to sit and have a drink or a cup of coffee. There is a little barber shop, tucked away in the back of the lobby that was very busy and did a great business so must have been good. The pool area is very small with a bar, again very personal.

In addition to loving our hotel, I must point out that an Expedia Concierge rep contacted me and made some travel reservations for me, and would have done much more if needed. That was a very nice thing, not a lot of English speaking.

This hotel, is really About the Location.
Close to high end, restaurants, shops and cafes. Hotel tends to host parties on the rooftop bar. So don't expect quite every night. if available take a lower floor room to get a better night sleep.
Food quality is good. Room are good size.
It's a solid 3 star experience.

Style over substance

The price of this hotel is around the same as the major international chains and is simply not worth it. Although the design in the rooms is nice, the food was almost inedible, and I had to wait 30 mins for a hotel car even though it was prebooked. Location great, but there are many other options in the neighbourhood with gym, good car services and top-rated restaurants.

Nice big clean cool room.
Owners really try to set up a cool mood, they do that pretty well. Location is top notch. Personnel are nice, friendly except at breakfast. But.....
Terrible noise from the street, I was on first floor and could hear the guys at the taco stand on the corner.
Water pressure is a joke. No hot water for two days, and asked the hotel to fix it, yet nothing happened. If you like a cold shower with almost no water, go ahead.
Bathroom smells like being at the sewer.
Poor service at breakfast.
Tried to charge me for minibar stuff I didn't use.

The design hotel is very well located and is beautiful, this ends the good part of it. Maintenance has seen better days as noticed by loose faucets, broken A/C. The staff is ok and helpful when required, not as well trained as advertised but ok. But the very bad sewer smell from the toilets has no excuses in hotel of this level. This is not an isolated case in one room. Also there is no sound isolation from the beautiful glass faced, so unless you want the sensation of sleeping in the middle of vibrant lively Masaryk avenue (and noisy) you may want to look for other options.

I rarely write reviews. Mostly because overall experiences are usual non exceptional but usually just Ok.
This hotel did something very unusual. It made me feel unsafe. They lost/stole a small item from my travel kit.
It was not expensive. However like I mentioned safety and trust is my #1 concern. When I reported my lost item to
Management they told me that they would get back to me on the matter after checking with Maid staff. After 2 days they told me that they don't think it had been stolen only lost. Then they said please let them know what they should do to replace my confidence.
Well I don't think I should have to ask them to do anything. They should offer on there own. I told them not to worry I did not want anything. Can recommend under any circumstances. Trust has no price. Unfortunately they don't understand the concept. Wont stay here at any price.
