Our room at Pug Seal Polanco Allan Poe was clean and well-maintained. It was lovely to have a balcony. The staff was helpful and prompt. The common areas of the hotel were beautiful and well-maintained. The breakfast was generous--wonderful to have both light buffet-type options and to be able to order off the menu. I would definitely return to this hotel, or use one of the other Pug Seal locations, and I will be recommending it to others.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel in Polanco (one of the most exclusive parts of CDMX). It is close to the shops and restaurants - all walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are snacks put out during the day. Wine is available as well (I think you have to pay for that though). Breakfast is also really good.

I reserved and paid for deluxe king size room of 366 ft.² as advertised, on Expedia, however, we was given the room the total of 13’ x 15’=195 ft.², which was very small and very uncomfortable. As I paid for it during the check-in process, neither Expedia or Pug Seal Polanco Allan Poe hotel would not compensate us for a product or service we paid for, but didn’t receive. Therefore, I would not recommend this property to others unless you inspect the room before you pay for it during check-in.

This was my second time at Pugseal. It is my absolute favorite place to stay in Mexico City. Gorgeous hotel, delicious breakfast, wonderful smelling eco products and such friendly staff. Special shout out to Giovanna, Enyar and Israel! They helped me organize a work meeting and I booked a massage that was also top notch. Can’t wait to come back!

For over 200 dollars a night (I guess it was an amazing deal) my daughter and I got to stay in a room without a window, the only natural light source was from a glass door, which opened to the staircase, where everyone walked all the time. My mom got the same room set up. In my room electrical circuits were messed up (room 14) and I could only use an outlet to charge my phone when the main lights were on. The pillows were AWFUL. I could not use any of them and had to make my own pillow out of a bathrobe, stuffing it inside a pillow case. The only real \"amenity\" in this place is their \"gourmet breakfast\" which really is an overrated selection of the same basic food: eggs and beans, prepared in an OK manner. Places outside of the hotel had AMAZING breakfast. The smell of the entrance way and in the cafeteria is of some kind of cleaning substance, very strong and overpowering. Had I known, I would have rented a B&B for the same price. The area is very nice. I definitely would NOT return to this hotel.

Long weekend stay in Polanco
Our stay was fantastic! The food was really great and the service was amazing. It's on a quiet street very close to one of the main roads in the Polanco neighborhood. Lots of high-end shops and a ton of restaurants nearby. We felt very safe to walk around both during the day and at night. The room was very clean - totally worth every penny.

What a great boutique hotel, and in the heart (Corazon) of Polanco. The service was impeccable and the breakfast was delicious. And of course this was walking distance to some of the best Restaurants in the city, and if you love shopping this is steps away. You have Gucci it is a four minute walk, and the rest of the glamours stores nearby.

It was a very delightful stay, from the warm welcome to the very last moment. The hotel looks very private and exclusive, the decor it’s lovely, the room has all what you need plus little perks of a minibar as a courtesy as well, the included breakfast was delicious. We arrived late, so I called in the morning to let them know and it was a good idea, as the staff I think retires at around 9.00/10.00pm and then only one, very helpfull guy, stays in the reception.
The room is on the smaller size, butu it had a nice balcony and king size bed. I like that my room had a window that could be opened.
Location is PERFECT !!!!

Really lovely boutique hotel with delicious breakfast and lovely and attentive staff. Also free drinks and snacks throughout the day in the lobby. The only thing that needs to be improved is the internet connection. It didn’t reach inside the rooms at all so we needed to sit in the lobby to go online.

The location cannot be beat. So many restaurant options within walking distance. You will not go hungry here in Polanco. The hotel has a wonderful vibe. Very relaxed, yet the staff was always attentive and available for any request. I felt at home in the common spaces and appreciated the coffee, tea, drinks, fruit and snacks available throughout the main building. The breakfast was amazing.
My only complaint was that I stayed in a second floor room near the front of the original building and the street noise was disruptive and made sleeping difficult (probably mostly due to my jet lag). I should clarify that the street is actually very quiet, so quiet that every little noise can be heard (occasional cars passing by, car alarms, the sidewalk sweeper, etc...) I used a noisemaker the last two nights and it helped.

Our stay at Pug Seal Allan Poe was wonderful. The space is gorgeous and the breakfast is so good. I loved the juice and fruit available throughout the day. The location is excellent, easy to talk to museums such as the Museo Jumex and the Museo Soumaya.

I loved this hotel. The staff are so helpful and the ownership has clearly paid attention to small details. The breakfast is also wonderful. The only issue we had was our room location. We had a ground floor room without windows. the room itself was nice, but no sunlight made it suffocating. We tried to stay out of it as much as possible.

Interesting Boutique Hotel
The original building has wonderful architectural details, but the modern addition has rooms that I would avoid if ever booking again. There were several rooms that opened onto an internal stair case, so no security if you wanted to open the glass door and no privacy unless blackout curtains fully closed. For the amount charged these rooms are very overpriced. The breakfast included was very good.

This was my second time staying at Pugseal Edgar Allan Poe. My family stayed with them in March and had such a positive experience I wanted to come back. We are already planning another return. Pugseal is aesthetically beautiful, the decor and design is incredible but what makes the experience great are the staff and the amazing breakfast. They pay attention to all the small details - without asking - to make your stay that much better. They added Handy, a mobile phone you can use while you're in DF to avoid roaming charges. Great addition! You feel like you are staying with friends. The breakfast is always amazing. Rooms are clean and quiet. It's located on a quiet street to escape the hustle and bustle of la Capital, but within walking distance of all the best restaurants and Paseo de la Reforma. I love going for runs in the neighborhood - I can go alone, as it's safe. Highly recommend, I won't stay anywhere else in DF. I've been visiting friends and family in DF once or twice a year for years and it's been one of the best stays. I even rearranged my travel days to make sure Pugseal had rooms available. Eduardo is the best!! He will always take care of you and make sure your stay is incredible, he's a gem of Pugseal.
