My first 20 minutes of my family stay someone was trying to come in our room good thing I had safety latch on..they took off running when we pushed the door and they covered the peep hole...my next complaint is the refrigerator was nasty very little breakfast items to choose from.

Beds were comfortable but high for shorter guests..no coffeemaker in room so that was unexpected.. shower handle was very hard to adjust/turn to get to temp you wanted in room 319 anyway.. was very quiet at night..parking was good and staff very friendly..
Should have plant milk option for breakfast..very limited plant based options beside toast/bagel.. hot oatmeal should be left plain and have condiments to add if you want. Here it had cinammon..raisins..sugar.. and butter all mixed in the hot oatmeal container which limits who can or want all that in their oatmeal..

One thing we didn’t like was that there are no “Do Not Disturb” signs to place on the door for housekeeping. We had to notify the housekeeper directly. Luckily we found her in the hallway to let her know. And hotel is located on a major street which has a lot of traffic noice and sirens until very late at night.

It’s hard to decide what stood out the most for our stay….

To begin with the woman working the front desk at check-in was amazing, kind, friendly, answered all my questions, incredibly welcoming. I made a joke about the frequent review of not having a coffee maker in the rooms and the gentleman working laughed and gave me a tour of their amazing Bunn coffee station that is open 24 hours. It was stocked to the brim with coffee creamer, sugar, sweetener, honey, tea, hot chocolate packets. I made a late night cup of decaf because I was needing something warm after coming in from the cold weather outside. I’m not a coffee pro but this was one of the best coffees I have had in a long time.

They also offer chocolate chip cookie on check in, take one, they are amazing!!!

Our room was very nice, looked newly remodeled. The bathroom had a walk in shower which I’ve never seen in a hotel. We thought the water pressure was great and the shower was a great size.

I loved the wardrobe storage in the room, the desk was nice. The fridge kept things nicely cold.

The beds were so comfortable. The sheets and blanket were great quality, the pillows were top notch compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Usually I hate hotel pillows and don’t sleep well. I slept fantastic & wished I had asked the brand so I could buy one.

The fitness center is pretty basic but would do good for someone traveling through. I didn’t get in the pool but my kids did and enjoyed it. 10/10 & will stay agai

Room clean, bed comfortable, temp control good, breakfast good, weird policy about ice buckets (issue them @ front desk), no coffee maker in room, there was 24/7 coffee in dining area, 2 of 3 of my credit cards didn't work (the clerk was swiping a chip card) it throws a flag. I used the rejected cards to get gas and they were fine.FYI!

The woman at the front desk was absolutely horrible. She was rude and complacent. The sheets for the pull out bed were dirty, twice, as were the pillow cases. The hotel smells like sulfur, the room was filthy, and the bathroom door did not close. We were there for 10 minutes and turned in our keys, and left. Horrible place, filthy, and will never be back. Will assume we are getting a refund, but the booking company said they would deny it. Gross. Be careful here.

The Garner Hotel is nicely renovated and clean and the staff is friendly and professional. The walk-in shower in our room was a fun change from the typical bathtub. Water was hot, soap bottles were full. A nice stay if only for a night.

Everything seemed fine when we got there, we checked out our room and nothing out of the ordinary it was a little dingy but nothing terrible. After going out to dinner and what not we got to bed at around midnight when my sister was laying in her bed and notice a bed bug was crawling on her pillow that her head was laying on. I killed the bug and then I searched her bed for more which from what I could see there was no more but who knows and I searched my bed and didn’t see any. We were so scared of the possibility of there being more that we slept on the floor that night. I would’ve called the front desk to get a new room but since our room had bed bugs I’m sure the other rooms did too. I was going to talk to the front desk about it in the morning and I went to go talk to someone but there was no one in sight. So I was just going to email them instead. I emailed them and they apologized for the inconvenience and said that they’d only give me my pet fee back since I have 2 pets ($59). Which I find stupid considering the fact I sent them pictures of the bed bug. Not to mention that they also leave the outdoor doors that have no key card access fully unlocked over night which is a safety hazard (we tested the doors out of curiosity). Would never recommend or stay here again.

There were likes and dislikes about this property. I liked the pool area and the warm water. The beds were comfy along with nice pillows and comforter. The breakfast was good and there was a variety of food you can choose. The downside is I have a 4 year old with autism who likes to elope when he can and the rooms are not ideal for this. First the sink is in the room area not in a different room there is a slide pocket door which was not keeping him out of the bathroom. The fact there was only a shower and no tub didn’t work for him and you can’t adjust the water it was one temp and that was pretty warm. Although the property must have a soft water system which was ver nice. The door to the room didn’t have the tall deadbolt lock it instead had a lever right by handle that you flip out which he figured out right away and I was constantly trying to keep him in the room I had to fold up a hand towel and shimmy it between the wall and flip to where he would be able to pull it out and open the door. That’s the only downfall.

The second room had a missing bolt cover on the toilet seat that seemed rusty which detracted from the cleanliness. Other than that, all was well. There was a goid selection for breakfast.

Passing through, so we stayed one night. Room was average. Cleanliness was average. Left before breakfast. Lots of towels provided. Lots of channels on TV. Dove toiletries in the room. The 2 staff members we encountered were friendly, but one was hard to understand. All things considered, we wouldn’t stay here again.

The property met our needs well. We were there 4 nights. On the 3rd night there was a small challenge. The manager was very accessible and immediately resolved our concern. Breakfast was good and a person was always on hand for it. When we requested room cleaning and new towels it was handled in a timely fashion. All the staff was great!!!

The bed was good, the room was clean, bathroom was clean, my issue with my stay was it was missing the little things ive gotten used to at other places,
No ice bucket.
No TV guide for channels or a guide on the TV either, It was annoying having to click through all the channels to find something to watch.
No coffee in the room.
No cups in the room.
I was told the next day i could have gotten a ice bucket at the front desk. They said people steal them as a reason for not putting them in the rooms. I thought that was a very petty reason for not having one in the room. I mean why inconvenience everyone for the actions of a few. I would think most people would not want to steal a stupid ice bucket.
The breakfast the next morning was good, about the same as most places.
If it hadn't been for the small things that were missing, it would have been great, but the little things are important and they add up to making a stay a better experience

We don't need a fancy hotel room or perks, but it has to be very, very clean. This was a surprisingly good stay at a very good price! Astonishing value, really. And it met our cleanliness standards. The liquid soap in the bathroom was a nice extra, compared with messy little bar soaps.
It is immediately off of I-70 and a pretty busy street, and this area of Topeka apparently is where every young male with a motorcycle congregates. I used earplugs, and with the A/C fan it was fine. Breakfast was good, with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, yogurt, and fruit. Very pleased, overall! We will stay again.

Water pressure in shower was horrible, hot was too hot and cold was low pressure. Shower was out of body soap, and the soaps left you feeling like you didn’t rinse off. Room was low on toilet paper and ran out of Kleenex.
