We do not plan to return to this establishment. The continuous flow of tour buses arriving at all hours, including late at night, led to guests trying to enter our room at 1 am and running up and down the halls. The breakfast, available at an additional cost, was not available due to the tour bus group consuming all the food. The cleaning staff appeared disinterested in cleaning our room or providing clean towels. Any requests seemed to be a nuisance to them. We placed the sign to clean our room on the door in the mornings, only to return and find it unattended. There are several better options for accommodations in the area. The rooms are small, with non-functional outlets in the bathroom and no storage space for toiletries in the shower, requiring us to place them on the shower floor. Additionally, the bathroom lacked ventilation, causing our room to become a steam room after showering. The beds are extremely uncomfortable as well. Our room was also excessively hot, despite the heat being turned off and the outside temperature being cool. Staying here during the summer is unthinkable, especially considering the lack of air conditioning.

At first did not like it, the location was too far from Amsterdam but that was my fault, thought I ordered king size bed instead got a single but it was nice overall, good breakfast and food bar, quiet, clean and good staff, they catered to my needs. Yeah it was a nice little trip

I stayed in a suite on the ground floor. It was quite spacious and looked recently refurbished.

The room had a kettle and Nespresso machine. There wasn't any fridge

The room also lacks air conditioning. The bedside table is on the small side and there are no additional power plugs next to the bed to charge your phone.

The bathroom is a good size, but the shower stall was on the small side. No shampoo was provided, so you need to bring your own.

For some unknown reason there were balloons on the floor, which may be nice for kids, but seemed a little strange to me.

Amazing stay at hotel Marquette

Our stay at the hotel Marquette was absolutely delightful. The room was super clean, super comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. We used the hotel as a stop on our journey to German and really wished that we could have stayed longer. We hired bikes and rode to the beach about 8km away. We had no idea that the area was going to offer such a nice beach and delightful eateries.
The breakfast was varied and delicious. The receptionist was great and luckily for us spoke amazing English. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Lovely hotel in countryside

The hotel is in good condition though would benefit some improvements. There is no restaurant in the hotel, have to go to the restaurant in the castle nearby which was fully booked when we arrived.
The nature around is great and bike hire is definitely what one would need to explore the nearby villages
The double bed in the room appeared to be twin beds standing one next to another, which is not really great
We loved our stay overall

We were already 28 hrs up from our trip, and arrived around 1:30 PM. They were still busy cleaning rooms (3 o'clock check-in). I told the girl at the front desk that we had a long trip and were pretty tired. Told her we would go eat some and return later. After we came back at 2:45 PM the room was not ready yet, so we waited. We waited till 3:45 PM when finally our room was ready...Rooms are clean, and all we needed is available. The beds are as hard as rock, very uncomfortable. Parking is a problem if the hotel is full.

We had a superb visit, the Castle food was pure Haute Cuisine in beautiful surroundings although not attached to hotel so if the weather is poor ensure that your footwear is suitable.

many people talk about the fact that its quite a distance from Amsterdam city center, however if you dont have a vehicle then this ISNT the hotel for you. I had a vehicle knowing where I was booking so this was not an issue. great service, great breakfast. Only issue was the limited internet bandwidth usage per day.

Aside from that all was good and would recommend the hotel.

Lovely, small hotel in a beautiful location

The hotel is situated on the grounds of a castle with many walking paths and beautiful scenery. Its great for anyone who wants a quiet holiday and appreciates nature. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was modest and clean with all the amenities you expect from a good hotel. Although in a green area, the hotel is within walking distance of the town center that has a number of good restaurants. Both Haarlem and Amsterdam are within an hours distance from Heemskerk.

Good place for exploring the surrounding area

Very nice hotel, set in the grounds of a Chateau. Evening meals are served in the beautiful period rooms in the Chateau, whilst the breakfast is in the hotel in the part that had been converted from stables. The hotel has that up market feel, with excellent decorations and pictures on all walls. The room is comfortable with coffee making facilities, balcony, nice flat TV with BBC1 available. My wife and I really enjoyed the stay.

Do your homework before you travel!

We got there early at 14:00hrs check in was 15:00hrs so understood when our room was not ready. It was still not ready at 16:00hrs. The staff at reception did not seem bothered by the situation and offered no explanation as to why. When I enquired about a possible drink in the bar, the lady looked unimpressed as it was her that had to serve us a drink in there. You would have thought this could have been on the house as a gesture of good will but this was not the case. The breakfast of 17:50 euros per person seemed expensive for what was on offer, normal cold meats, fruits etc and a cooked breakfast. We did not take this up so cannot comment on quality. The hotel is not situated close to any local amenities everything is a drive or bus journey away or of course bicycle! One positive was that one of the staff kindly offered us a lift to the local train station as they could not book a taxi at 10:00 in the morning. When having a late evening drink in the bar the young man serving us was a little abrupt and when asked about a selection of drinks mainly the wine selection he knew very little. The bar was also closed at 23:00 for a hotel with nothing else around it I found this somewhat frustrating as did many of the other wedding guests. The beds in our double room were two singles pushed together and two single duvet covers, with one small square pillow, there is a spare in the cupboard but only one. You have to ask to be provided with an iron if you require one.

Good Value for money but need car

This NH hotel is essentially basic accommodation, frequented by a number of tour buses. It however fit our requirements exactly. It is located in a country setting, which is very peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is older and in need of a little modernization but is nonetheless adequate for using as a base and for taking day trips. The room and hotel was clean and the front desk personnel were very helpful. A vehicle is essential if staying at this hotel. Parking of tour buses causes a few parking problems but parking (no charge) was okay. Heemskerk itself is a delightful town with some very nice and relaxing restaurants in the area (you just have to look for them). Try the Pancake House.

Only 30 km from Amsterdam on a large, beautiful estate. Hotel newly builton the grounds of the old Chateaux in thx park. The Chateaus converted into in first class restaurant, great food, exquisite service. Great value for the money, very friendsly multilingual staff, big rooms with balkonies in the woodsles etc, plenty of parking, tennis courts, bycic. Just perfect.

In two words: Good Hotel.

I was at a trip with a rented car so the location is not really a consideration in my review, but apart from that, the price was nice, the room was clean, bathroom items are supplied, there is even shoes cleaner, blankets and towels are all in a good order and there is enough of them. Central heating system was operational even at may, so no problems with cold rooms or whatever. As a conclusion pretty good hotel if you have a car to arrive there.

The hotel is in a castle next to the forest environment is quite good, as well as sheep, river, in short, first-class environment.But need to do the 176 road car, not far from the beach, about 20 minutes drive around the tulip farm is very beautiful.The drawback is obviously no free wireless networks.Also breakfast is too expensive.

Far from Haarlem, not far from Zaanse Schans, it is in middle of nowhere. It is located in a beautiful countryside spot with a mansion, canals, sheeps, ducks, swans, goose, etc. You'll need a car to get there but it is really worth for the money.

Good location for a getaway

The hotel receptionist was a bit crazy because he tried to joke that there were no rooms for all 8 of us!! After travelling for 6 hours we did not appreciate his humour but in the end it was ok. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is a bit middle of nowhere but not a problem if you have a car.

Our standard room was large well appointed with sunshine streaming in from the patio. (shoehorn provided.) The hotel is beautifully situated on a large estate with herons nesting high in the surrounding trees and lambs enjoying the warmth of spring. Good breakfasts served in the hotel and dinner served some evenings in the historic chateau some evenings. When closed a comprehensive list of nearby restaurants was supplied. Free parking.Everyone worked hard to make our stay memorable. Thank you.

Great place to stay while exploring Northern Holland

The NH Marquette is a pretty standard hotel on the inside. The staff is really nice and helpful but what made my wife and I love it so much was the physical location. As part of an old estate, it off the main road several hundred yards and is surrounded by pasture land and woods. The hotel is very, very secluded and quiet, save for an odd jet aircraft overhead. If you need a place as base for exploring Northern Holland I would highly recommend the NH Marquette!

Kamer was schoon, netjes en groot genoeg. Ontbijtbuffet 1x gedaan, was op zich prima, maar niet heel bijzonder qua aanbod.
Hotel is wel erg gehorig, zeker als je aan de kant van het water zit, dan wordt je om 5 uur wakker gemaakt door een enorme ganzenkolonie wat daar zit en behoorlijk herrie heeft. Ook hoor je regelmatig andere bezoekers op de gang.
Jammer dat het hotel geen restaurant heeft. Vond dat dit niet goed bij de boeking was aangegeven. De plaatselijke pizzaboer doet goede zaken met alle bestellingen die daar worden afgeleverd. Maar het is wel een beetje sneu dat je dan je pizza'tje op bed moet opeten.

Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und wir haben gut geschlafen. Doppelte Badewanne und doppelte regendouche(suite) war super. Zimmer war etwas kalt, vorallem der Boden(Januar). Das Personal war Freundlich und engagiert. Es hat ein Lounge gegeben, wo wir uns unterhalten konnten, und bestelltes Essen geniessen konnten, geschirr ist vorhanden. Preise für Getränke auch human. Gerne wieder!

Séjour de 2 nuits 3 jours pour visiter Amsterdam tout en pouvant profiter de la mer… l’hôtel est accueillant, propre et chaleureux. Pas de bruit la nuit. Literie impeccable.

Superschöne Gegend um Rad zu fahren.
Leider war kein Kühlschrank auch meinem Zimmer.
Komme bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Prima hotel, kamer was netjes en schoon. Alleen de prijs kwaliteit verhouding voor het ontbijt is echt niet oke voor dat geld krijg je bij andere hotels veel meer en veel uitgebreider. Dit is hoogtens 10 euro waard.

Et rart sted med ro, hygge og god service

Hotellet var roligt og hyggeligt, og værelset var rigtig fint. Vi havde et lille problem med afløbet i bruseren, men personalet var søde og kiggede på det, mens vi var ude. Det blev desværre ikke helt fikset, men de gjorde et forsøg.

Morgenmaden var god – ikke en kæmpe buffet, men der var fin variation, og det hele smagte godt.

Det var også muligt at lade bilen op, selvom vi ikke brugte det.

De unge mennesker, der stod i receptionen og sørgede for morgenmaden, gjorde det rigtig godt. De var venlige, hjælpsomme og altid med et smil.

Alt i alt en god oplevelse.

„Alles in allem war das Hotel für diese Preisklasse wirklich gut – einzig das Frühstück empfand ich als etwas zu schlicht und wenig abwechslungsreich. Hier wäre eine ausgewogenere Auswahl wünschenswert gewesen

Sonst war alles OK! Aber mit der Warmwasser im Bad
gabs wohl Probleme. 1. Nacht war alles in Ordnung.
2. und 3. Nacht war Duschen bei eher lauwarmen Wasser
angesagt.
