The hotel itself is beautiful especially from the outside. Checking in is smooth. Location is closer to train station. Did not get the chance to try the spa and gym. Did not try the food as well. Outside the hotel, there are fast food and small supermarket nearby if you want to grab some food and snacks. The issue I have got is the water pressure in the shower, slow flow but manageable. There is a small kettle provided for teas and coffee, temperamental kettle. Otherwise all okay.

clean room, accesible to train and staff were very accomodating. I was accomodated for an early check in at 10am. prior to coming to amsterdam I emailed the hotel about our early arrival and so happy they have accomodated my request. Its my second time staying with them and will always choose Inntel hotel zandaam location is the best for people travelling with kids.

Wonderful place, everything is beautiful and the area outside is very photogenic. Lots of shops, restaurants and things for the kids. Very walkable and safe. If you need to park the front desk has a small discount so park out front and check in before you find the garage.

It’s quite shocking that your rooms have nonpower outlet close to the bed (night stand distance). Some people have to use CPAP machines for sleeping and I had to use a chair as a bridge to connect my cpap machine to the closest outline (and I don’t want the machine which pumps air into my noise to suck up air right from the floor.
Also, my wife didn’t like that there is a glass wall to the washroom, it’s a lack of privacy.

My husband and I stayed here about 2-3 weeks ago for our honeymoon. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! We loved this hotel and it was our favorite stay during our trip.

The room is spacious, clean, and we loved the easily accessible clean drinking water. The staff were helpful and the hotel itself (the building) is super cool to get great photos of. Not to mention the convenient location to shops and the train station. The McDonald’s is also convenient for an affordable and quick meal.

We can’t recommend this place enough and hope to stay here again in the not too distant future.

Best place to stay around Amsterdam city, 10 min to Amsterdam Centraal station, quiet and spacious hotel rooms with picturesque surroundings, will definitely recommend this place.
A small issue, council taxes charged at the Inntel hotel Zandaam are quite higher than what quoted by Expedia that are to be to be paid at property, at ~30% FX movement cannot be expected within 21 days of booking

Perfect place to stay convenient few mins walk to the train station that can get you to Amsterdam Central in about 12 mins - Definitely take the train to Zaanse Schans for a nice day trip on the country side! Staff was super nice and luggage drop was really convenient when having time between rentals or flying in a lot earlier than check in time

I just stayed here with my sister for 6 nights and it was excellent! The facade of the hotels puts a smile on your face every time you see it, and it was extremely convenient to explore Amsterdam and other towns.
The hotel is practically next to the train station, and the area is very safe and convenient.

The staff were amazing here! They were readily able to help out and answer our questions and offer their suggestions! The hotel was very close to the train station, but you did not hear the trains! It was very clean! The sauna and steam room were an added bonus!! I contacted them beforehand as we were celebrating a birthday and they decorated the room and brought us a welcome package (There was an added charge for thsi but it was worth it!). I would highly recommend!!

Gave us a double bed despite me mentioning before travel that we were mother and son. We had to separate the beds ourselves which were hoping together with a hoard and the gap between the beds was then not clean as it hadn’t been swept move stayed here twice now and whilst it’s a lovely hotel in a lovely location, the beds are so uncomfortable and small for the standard of hotel I’d expect better.

We arrived an earlier than the check in time and the staff held our baggage for us while we explored the area and came back at our check in time. There was an additional city fee which we paid upon arrival but it was clearly stated that was the case on the booking page.

Our room was spacious. We noticed a few crumbs on the ground but nothing that bothered us all too much. The water temperature control was a little weird, the water would go from cold to boiling with only the slightest adjustment of the handle. Complimentary slippers were provided upon request.

Location of the hotel is great, only a 5 minute walk to the bus / train station. Grocery store and plenty of options for food and shopping right outside the property. Staff were very helpful and friendly!

We had a great time, only quibble is check in was 1500. We had to wait to 1630. With no offer of a complementary drink, we just sat and waited in the lobby. Then we had to ask when our room was ready! Not cool for a booked 2 x suit top of the shelf rooms - the rooms were amazing worth the wait. Reception just need to work on their hospitality, respectfully.

What a great hotel. Quirky in a prefect location. The staff could not do enough for you it was a pleasure to be there . We recently stayed in London hotels with the usual arrogance but we felt comfortable and . Clean friendly professional, my son had his 9th birthday and they gave him a hand written card , some chocolate and sweets. Highly recommended them

We had an excellent time at this hotel. Staff was the best. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms were quite spacious, with lots of storage, a full length mirror and great bathroom space. Pillows and bed were a bit soft if you’re not used to that. Great central location, in walking distance to the train, plenty of restaurants, and a great cafe (Maya). Plus it was super cool to look at.

The hotel is right next to the Zaandam train station and only 2 stops away from Amsterdam Central. If you are looking for a clean hotel, right next to shopping and dining and outside the busy city nights, this place is great.
There is a shopping strip right near the hotel, with bars and dining options a 5 minute walk away. They have bicycles for use and getting back and forth from Amsterdam was a 11 minute train ride. We really liked the ability to unwind at night in quiet, but having easy access to the city and all of the canals, tours and attractions.

This hotel was fantastic once again. I discovered a few years ago and stay here every May during my annual trip to the Netherlands. The train station is across the street and within a few stops of Amsterdam Centraal and airport. Convenient cycling routes will easily take you into surrounding neighborhoods and local tourist attractions. Convenient shopping and grocery store are within steps of the hotel. As for the hotel itself, the staff is amazing and more than will to assist, the breakfast is 5 stars, rooms are very clean, lots of amenities, and is bike friendly if you bring your own bike. I will stay here when I return next May. There’s no reason to even consider staying elsewhere. I highly recommend!!!

Stayed here before a few times over the years. The only thing they need to sort out is access to and from the train station pavement level. With heavy bags and the municipal lifts and escalators both not working there is no alternative! The hotel has an option via the meeting and conference area but they were disinclined to facilitate that for us! Disappointing!

I was initially very concerned when I booked this hotel. It looked obviously odd (fit perfectly with the area). The train was directly across the street and ran constantly to Amsterdam Central. Train was inexpensive and allowed us to be away from downtown, but close enough to quickly go each day.

Highly recommend this property. Even the train to/from the airport. Close to the windmills.

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights, whole duration of time the shower head was not working and after asking stuff to fix it and them supposedly fixing it-still was not working, fridge was not working till they either change or fix it, iron fell apart while being plugged in-luckily i did not got electric shock, when we came to lobby customer service and ask for partial refund or discount - they refused, they never offered us another room for all these inconveniences, and gave us cold unfriendly attitude, especially lady who said she was the manager. Hotel located in nice place and looks pretty outside, breakfast had good choices, but amenities in the room are old and non-working and some customer service employees of this hotel should not be working in hospitality industry

Decent hotel, rooms and bathroom were a good size.
Great location and really easy to get to and from Amsterdam central (about 10mins) very regular trains. A few mins walk from the station. Breakfast was good with a reasonable variety from cold and hot. It got a little busy at peak times and could have perhaps done with another coffee machine. A short walk down the main high street brings you to a variety of bars/resturants. If you want to get away from the very busy centre of Amsterdam for the evening then its well worth trying Zandam and then short commute in.

Main issue we had were the 2 single beds as opposed to one double. I don't recall booking one or the other but just went along with it. It wasn't the best and tended to slide off the base and bit and felt you were rolling off. Also given the hotel was refurbished in 2010 I would have expected USB ports but there were just normal plug sockets. There were a couple of usb's in the back of the tv which you can use but not as convenient. Also the tea/coffee did not have any milk (even long life). I guess we could have asked but would have expected this rather than asking.

All staff were polite and courteous.

Fantastic stay in castle-like property.

Luggage delivery with some stairs was expected and the host would tell you the nearest way to make it. Don’t try to take 4-course dinner or more if you are Asians as the portions are large indeed but perfect each course. No complaint though the price of dinning experience was set at high side.

Dinner staff was funny and sociable while breakfast staff was friendly and eager to give us an introduction about the secret room behind the breakfast area. Nice!

Sharp weather change between day and night. Guests should be aware of it.

Overall I really enjoyed our stay my complaints were there were no plugs by bed, the breakfast was not open right at 7 we waited 10 mins and then had to leave. But what we loved about the hotel was its location - close to transportation, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast had a good variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others!

The hotel was lovely however you are in an area which feels unsafe at night. There is anti-social behaviour and it needs refurbishing it’s quite dirty and the escalators are broken permanently. Good links to Amsterdam by train as the station is opposite the hotel. 8€ return in central. The rooms in the hotel are very close together so you can hear the people next to you. The spa is in need of some TLC the steam room was broken and the pool is freezing but the staff were lovely and I would give this 3* not the 4 it currently has.

Room was to warm, we couldnt turn the temperature down as it was controlled by the hotel and it was to noisy to have the windows open, the escalator outside was making a horrendous noise which kept us awake the first night but it was finally turned off during the second night. Apart from that the hotel was lovely

I loved this hotel so much, it was really a great surprise!

The location is perfect; you are within walking minutes of Zaandam station. The station is around 25min away from Schipol Airport and 20min to Amsterdam Centraal station, so it's a perfect alternative in terms of hotel instead of paying double price for a hotel in Amsterdam. You are also not too far away from the Zaanse Chans Windmills, you can take bus 69 to go there directly.

The room is very specious (we had the TASTE Deluxe room) and we really liked the cheese theme wall of our bedroom. The room is clean and well maintained by the staff. The reception staff was also friendly.

Overall, I am so glad I choose this hotel for its convenience and value for money. Also, you will see a lot of people taking pictures of it from the outside as it is very peculiar and the 'image' of Zaandam's architecture. 10/10!

Pros: Great location, nice views on the 11th floor, modern hotel, very clean, large room and bathroom. Didn’t have time for the spa unfortunately so cannot comment on that.
Cons: no hair conditioner provided; the bathroom has a window into the room, which is awkward for privacy; and you can hear some noise from the trains in the station.
