The breakfast options were pretty decent, I really enjoyed my breakfast daily. We got the comfort double room which was great and spacious. I wish they had an on site cafe/bar , would have been a useful addition for the late evenings back from town. However, there is a tram stop right by the hotel which was a lifesaver. Affordable and lovely stay, would stay here again.

Hotel great, very modern and clean. Self check in worked really well. Free to use sage in room, beds really comfortable, Nespresso coffee machine great touch and breakfast also really good. Would recommend short tram ride into main Amsterdam and only a 10min walk from Sloterdijk rail station

Stayed a couple of nights here. The room was clean, 4 pillows, 1 had a bad odour to it. Room was spacious but it can get a little chilly in the night (this was end of Oct) I recommend requesting a small heater.

Breakfast was good, good range and selection. There is eggs but no chef making them fresh.

Travel wise, your 10ish minute walk to the train station Solterdijk, thats one stop away from Central, Make sure you take the train and not the \"tube\". The underground means you take many more stops before you get to centraal.

I couldnt find a tabacoo store near by, but there is a covenient store near the station (no tabacoo or papraphelinia).

I would consider staying here again, but I missed the convenience of popping into my hotel room without needing to take a trip there and back for any breaks.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located near the tram, which made it easy to get around the city. It was a nice place for our stay, with a common area for meet-ups, plus vending machines available. The staff were friendly and stored our luggage after check-out. Overall, a comfortable stay.

The hotel itself is excellent. Clean, quiet and the breakfast is perfect. Tram is literally a step outside the hotel and will take you right into the centre of the main attractions. There are a few good restaurants in the area as well. My only complaint would be the area around the hotel wasn’t always clean. A bit of garbage lying around. But that would NOT stop me from going back to this hotel. I will definitely return.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August with our 2 children in a quad room - the room was very smart and well enough equipped for us. The sound and light insulation were excellent and the aircon was quiet enough to leave on at night. The hotel is super convenient for the tram but also not far from Sloterdijk Station. Staff were very helpful and leaving luggage on the last day was no problem. Highly recommend and I wouldn't hesitate to use again!

I've been at this property before. Generally when I have business near Westerpark. The tram 19 stops just outside, so it's very convenient to Museumplein and Leidesplein.

Front desk complained to us for using the app to book. Couldn’t find our reservation. TV did not work. Bed was very uncomfortable. The sink clogged. Someone fraudulently accessed our reservation and changed our name. Front desk gave attitude when we requested ice. Just an awful experience.

Wonderful Stay at Xo Hotels Parkwest

We had a truly delightful stay at XO Hotel Park West. I stayed for two nights with my sister and cousin during a quick getaway to Amsterdam, and everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable — the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day of exploring the city. We genuinely looked forward to coming back each evening to unwind.

The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. On the morning of our departure, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and were impressed by the variety and quality of the offerings. Since we were heading to another city that day, the convenient and satisfying breakfast gave us a great start to a long travel day.

While the hotel isn’t located in the immediate city center, there’s a tram stop about a 12-minute walk away that takes you directly to Amsterdam Centraal, making it easy to get around. The neighborhood itself is quiet and pleasant — ideal for a peaceful walk or bike ride.

Excellent tram links. The stop is just outside the hotel. Sloterdijk station is approx 15 mins walk with excellent train links to Airport which is 10 mins and run every 5 mins or so.
Our room was spacious and clean and had the bonus of a third bed (not a put-up) which is rare. Good breakfast.
Downside was that there was no bar facilities. Appears to be closed, so nowhere for a drink . Vending machine is very expensive.

Give Amsterdam a miss

We arrived very early after getting off a cruise ship. We knew we’d have to wait. The guy at the front desk told us there was an early check in from 10am for €5 per hour. He took our name and said he’d check for an available room. At 11am we approached him to ask of a possible early check in and he was quite passive aggressive. He clearly doesn’t work well under pressure. He then couldn’t find our reservation. At 10.40am he decided to find us a room then made us pay the whole hour. A courtesy could have been to wave that hour. Then, booking a twin room is because you want 2 beds. Separate. Their rooms have the beds pushed together. How stupid is that?

Convenient parking at 20EUR for 24 hours. Train station is walkable to get to anywhere on Amsterdam conveniently and easily.
Staff went above and beyond from start to finish! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam!!

Expensive to be just an average room but okay considering the city itself is also expensive. Staff was nice and I was happy with most of them, the exception was a guy from the night shift that made some really uncomfortable and disrespectful “jokes” about drugs when I went to the reception to ask for amenities. I reported to the staff in the next day at check-out.

Not the best. Room was not as expected, wooden furniture had scratches all over it, so the furniture needs some updating. There was a stain in the pillow case. Toilet was clean but the shower gel bottle was not filled properly. Overall I don’t recommend this hotel at all. On Google Maps it was listed as a 4 star hotel, but it definitely didn’t look or feel like one.

We arrived hotel 45 minutes, despite of room being available they did not allow early check in by 40 minutes without extra charge. Their staff told that system will not allow it. This is insane to me behaving this for a business that is in hospitality.

I understand cases when room is not ready yet but this case was bizarre to me.

This was a beautiful property. The staff was wonderful and there was an amazing breakfast. We leveraged the knowledge of the staff to navigate the trains to get to our bus for the Kukenof Tulip festival trip. The rooms were awesome. The beds were also very comfortable.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, decent size (one of the 2 rooms was a little smaller). Handy for the tram outside hotel about 15 minutes to central Amsterdam. No bar in hotel and the vending machines are overpriced. Quite a walk from main Sloterdijk station too. Staff were fine and put our bags away securely with tags. I think it's good value for money and very easy to get to the western areas of Central Amsterdam - a little trickier to navigate to otherside (Dam etc)

Great base and really handy for the centre. Number 19 tram stop right outside the hotel that runs every 12 minutes. Best route was from the hotel to Fredricksplien then the number 4 to central station via Rembrandt square. Obviously then the same on the way home. Would definitely stay again

It was a good place to stay. The check-in and check-out was so smooth. The room was clean, however a ripped off curtain was disappointing. It was only a bus journey to central. All in all it was a convenient place to stay given its price.
