This hotel is absolutely wonderful, I had such a wonderful stay. The room was immaculate, and had everything I needed. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The staff were amazing; so helpful and friendly.
For the price the breakfast was a great option too and really set me up for the day. Great location too with excellent transport links to the city centre and within walking distance of the beautiful Westerpark. Overall I really like staying at this hotel and looking forward to my next visit.

Getting to the hotel from the airport was simple and efficient, the train from Schipol airport to the city centre then the GVB 22 bus drops you right outside.
The staff were outstanding, checking in and out was hassle free and I was given advice on the city, tips and any query I had the staff at Ibis were professional and helpful.
The hotel location was ideal for me as it was quiet and public transport in the city is brilliant, the 22 bus was a God send, a Metro station is very close by and Sloterdejk train station is also within walking distance. Burger King is next door to the hotel and you can't go wrong with it, food and prices were both decent and staff were lovely.
The hotel itself is nice, great sustainable initiatives taken, my room was standard, the bathroom was small and curved like a pod, interestingly compact but did the job. Breakfast area and buffet was good, it had the things I like, ample seating and attentive staff.
The only small things I would say the hotel may need to look into are, the shower screen didn't have a seal at the bottom therefore water often splashed out of the cubicle and felt that I was wasting towels to dry it up which isn't very sustainable. I might have been unlucky but the wi-fi in my room was weak, I failed to get a good connection most of the time however it was a short break therefore not much of an issue. Overall I would recommend this hotel, I had a pleasant stay and thank you for making me feel welcome.

The property was very nice, it was clean, it was friendly, although there were some issues with our bed and bathroom, the bed had a stain on it by the heads, and the toilet had an unpleasant odor in it.

The staff were accommodating and pleasant to work with, and also there is a Burger King right beside the hotel.

Odd people wandering about the area, we even had panhandlers come up to us while sitting at tables outside the property asking for money. Others were obviously sizing us up to see if we were gullible (which we are not). Very unpleasant!

Overall was good, nice room comfortable beds, could have been nice to have better quality towels and an extra set of hand towels. It wasn’t pleasant to find long hairs in the shower floor….. that was an easy way to distinguish that cleaning wasn’t sufficient.

Hotel was okay. Staff were quite rude the whole time we were there, would speak to us like we were stupid and were far from friendly to the point we stopped bothering to ask them questions. The doors were locked past a certain time and a lot of the time when we arrived back we'd be waiting at the door for quite a while with the man just sitting behind the desk not buzzing us in until he was ready. We did not have to check out until 11 however had the cleaner knocking on our door just past 10am so had to leave. No kettle or anything in the room. Transport to/from the hotel was okay, you can either get a bus or there's a train station round the corner, 1 train and a metro gets you to central. Rooms were relatively clean, rather small and very basic but does the job of providing somewhere to sleep as you're out exploring most of the time. Probably would stay elsewhere if we were to return to Amsterdam.

Rather than staying in Amsterdam city centre this trip I tried the Ibis, about five kilometres out. The room was very clean, comfortable and functional. The staff are amazing looking after all my requests. The bus transportation is excellent leaving from across the street every fifteen minutes ( a little longer at times in the weekend) then only a fifteen minute ride to Amsterdam Centraal. Staff weren’t very Informative to assist with first time Amsterdam travellers that didn’t understand the subway/bus routes. They just pointed to the bus stops.
The hotel itself was bland and lacked necessities like extra towels and pillows. The room was freezing cold with no extra blankets or heating. Wasn’t surprised by this as we didn’t pay a lot but lacking the bare minimum was disappointing.

The bathroom was no bigger than an RV shower. Water temperature was difficult to maintain surges of extreme hot then cold. Without moving the valves.

A good enough stay

The hotel is in a very good state. The room was quiet and the blackout curtains kept the room very dark so that morning light did not disturb sleep. We did not choose to have breakfast at the hotel. However all amenities from the hotel were very expensive so beware. The food from the snack bar was expensive, the bike rental was expensive so do not bother. The receptionist were not very knowledgeable about things and they are also very young and inexperienced. Today's society. The hotel is not that near to the city so this is something else you need to be aware of. You will need to take a bus back and forth.

The hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but it is conveniently located close to a metro station, across from a bus stop and a fifteen-minute walk to the Sloterdijk train station with trains to the airport, central station and cities nearby. The hotel is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet and safe area.

We were moved to another Ibis hotel as this one had the A/C Brocken.
The room was extremely small. A/C was hardly working. When I checked with the front desk I was told that the hotel doesn’t really has A/C but only climate control. ( not sure what this exactly means)
No tissue papers in bathroom. When asked for some, was told that this is not a 5 Star hotel, don’t have any.
The whole room have only two paper cups, no coffee maker no microwave no refrigerator, no toiletry, one very small TV.
Although staff in general was friendly, the hotel is hardly a 0.5 Star

6 nights stay. Nobody was able to provide me with an invoice. Apparently I will receive after check-out and days later I am still waiting. Kitchen is meant to be open until 2200 but no food available at 2100 (It was busy we have nothing left. Or the chef wanted to go home?). The drain in my bathroom sink was blocked and it got fixed the day before check-out, hence after 5 days. I got charged Amsterdam standards when ibis west should be a low-cost budget hotel.

Not far from train station about 15 min. Car park but not free, there is a bus to get city centre, the hotel hire bicycle. Lovely breakfast. Non è lontano dalla stazione dei treni circa 15min. Parcheggio auto a pagamento, c'è l'autobus per il centro, l' hotel affitta le biciclette. La colazione è ottima abbondante e assortita.

Great hotel with amazing access to the city!!

The hotel is abit out of the centre but very easy access with the bus stop right outside and with a GVB pass you can litetally go anywhere! The room was clean and tidy and very modern. We stayed for 5 nights the bed wasnt the comifest at all so thats the only issue we had. The staff were friendly and had good information for us. Woukd definitely stay here again but for a shorter period.

The hotel is located conveniently near a major bus line and the metro. The staff was very pleasant, and the facility was clean and quiet. But the rooms are very small, with little beside a bed and very small side tables. There is little floor space for luggage, in fact, this is a better room for one person, rather than two. Great bed.

We really enjoyed our stay the hotel is great , there was not much in the area but the bus helped It would be good PR to offer a day’s pass. Our only great concern was the taxi you ordered for us dropped us off with a 30 minute walk to our river cruise ship and we had to pay for another taxi.

Pros: Clean property. Nice staff. Quiet. Quick check in and check out. Cons: Very basic rooms. No toiletries besides a huge tube of soap by the sink and in the shower. 2 small thin towels and a floor towel provided...no extras. Had to ask for extra coffee (only decaf was in room). No refrigerator in room. Nowhere to keep anything refrigerated. Wanted coffee from the bar downstairs but the machine was broken 2 days in a row. Breakfast is simple and super expensive for what it is (€17).

What I didn t like was that there is no heat control in the room during the night was to hot and on the evenings when we came after a day of walking we gad to stay in bed to warm up.
Second there were no brush for the toilet.
Third extract fan in the bathroom was noisy and it couldn t be stopped.

If you're looking for classic Dutch charm & canal views, you won't find that here. But if you want somewhere clean, comfortable, affordable and with close proximity to the airport and city centre, this is a great choice. The surrounding area is pretty suburban. But Sloterdejk train station is a 15 min walk away and there is a bus and metro you can walk to in a few minutes. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable, wifi worked well, shower had good temperature and space (pressure could have been better). Not the most spacious room but not overly cramped either. We didn't have the breakfast as 16 euro felt steep for a hotel breakfast. You can jump on the 22 bus and be at a better breakfast place, and much cooler part of the city, within 10 mins. Would stay again!

Staff was very helpful and friendly. My husband is disabled so we stayed in the wheelchair accessible room. Very clean and very quiet. The only thing that I would suggest is to rethink the layout of the room because it is very difficult for wheelchair user to enter the bathroom seen as tho the beds are slightly in the way, which makes it difficult to turn wheelchair into the bathroom. Also not to have the room door close automatically because again this makes it difficult for wheelchair user to enter. Other than that we were happy, large accessible bathroom with shower seat and toilet rails.
