Bad first impression. We arrived before check-in, which was fine, but the hotel could not store our bags because the luggage room was full and gave no useful alternative. The public bathroom also had no toilet paper in either toilet. When we came back later, reception was empty and we had to wait 25 minutes for anyone to show up while a frustrated queue formed. The room itself was clean and reasonably large, but very basic, with limited amenities. The bathroom was extremely small, and the graffiti-style decor may not be to everyone’s taste.

I will not be staying here again. The room was extremely dirty and the mattress had stains all over it and sunk in. I booked the room for two nights but ended up leaving after the first night because there was no way I could stay there any longer.

I requested a refund for the second night and am still waiting for a response. Overall, my experience was horrible and very disappointing.

spacious, clean and friendly! but please, insulate the windows, a lot of cold air comes in and it's cold in the room. we stayed in a room where there were 3 windows, it was cold and we woke up with sore throats and stuffy noses.

there are cheap and effective solutions, please keep that in mind. otherwise, very good.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Check In was very easy and they let us check in even earlier. You can reach the city by train in 5min and 6-7min walk. The free parking was very helpful to go to the city without stress. The only negative aspect was that the room wasn’t very clean but with the exception that the hotel is not high budget hotel, was okay.
I will come again=)

All the staff I talk to were very good and helpful ! There was no TV, other amenities, I really dislike the decor, the giant fly! Really!? Loud and obnoxious! The door to the lobby was not clear or clearly marked! Room kind of dingy and worn, outdated.

The place is fun and the staff are very welcoming. Rooms are small, but clean and you can't go wrong for the price. Walking distance to the trains. They just got a new table tennis in the lobby. They also offer water and coffee.

Sometimes, the definition of a Hotel can surprise you. I have definitely stayed at hostels with a better standard than this, however it was clean, (most) staff kind and rate is inexpensive - the perfect place to stay if you just need a good bed and rest between activities. You will get towels a private bathroom in the hallway and clean sheets which of course is better than hostel in most cases. The location is not the most charming of Amsterdam, but it’s a three minute walk to the train station and then another four minutes with the train to Amsterdam Central Station, no sweat.

I love this hotel!! 2nd time visiting and as lovely as the 1st, unfortunately was awoken on my 3rd night to someone repeatedly trying to get into the room, knocking and using their key card. I assume they had the wrong room, they attempted 3 times through the night. Once again beautiful hotel

When we arrived (well before dark) there were rats running around the gazebo in the parking lot. The room did not have a washroom as advertised, and it had no windows. The room was dim, but with a flashlight we saw many bugs (spiders, and things in their webs) and evidence of carpet bugs. The room had a terrible smell and there was a urinal in the room, which had not been cleaned. The staff person at the door was professional. We did not stay due to the smell, the filth, and the lack of windows making the room dangerous. I requested a refund as the room was not as advertised but this was denied. Expedia was not able to help.

It is good we are 12 of us shared 2 rooms with 3 bunkbeds in each room.
We used it for the night stay only, it was ok for our purpose.
Free parking is good
what is missed
- no recycling of plastic papers
- no space in the room just to sit and talk or play game
- washrooms are not connected to the room
- price is not that cheap

There is no option for beeakfast or food but the location is convenient 5 mjns to astersam central and to get a room of 8 beds to yourself is unreal. People living near here are young adults or family. But my room has alot of problem toilet got something outside the bins and mold at shower llace and bunk beds aee very small like kids size.But overall is good to stay

We had a nice stay at the Teleport Hotel, we had to book last minute due to an issue with another hotel. The rooms were basic and the bathroom was across the hall. It was comfy and warm and very cheap compared to other hotels which were 3 times the price.

We were a student exchange group - 10 teenagers and 2 adults. The front desk people were all exceedingly friendly and helpful, giving us tips on how to most cost-and time-efficiently navigate public transportation to get to our plans. Unfortunately, one of our rooms was not quite ready when we arrived, so we had to wait a hour to get into it. The beds were comfortable, but one room had a broken closet door. It was not a problem for us because we were the only ones in the room, but it would have been an issue if circumstances were different. The hotel was easily accessible by public transportation, but there’s not much to do nearby. (We did choose it for that reason - this is info for others to use.). Overall, I would stay here again, our minor inconveniences not withstanding.

Great staff!

The hotel is a bit out of the central city but it’s close to all public transport which is great! The room its self was normal. Maybe could have done with a more thorough cleaning and better pillows but other than that it was fine! The staff were lovely and always at the desk to help even in the early hours of the morning!! They gave amazing recommendations and really made our trip!

For starters they charge too much money for what the place is.
Bathroom was full of dirty toilet paper in the basket and there was no soap.
Floor was dirty too.
People around were very noisy and the check in guy was vey unhelpful when we asked for direction.
I would never stay here again and I will recommend other to avoid.

Not accomodating staff on check in, not approachable and abrupt. Rooms are not sound proof so can hear noise from next door. No aircon in the room. Toilet is separate and not necessarily next to your room. Not much going in in sorrounding area and quite few drank people hanging outside the hotel. Few mins walk from Sloterdjik station going to central which is not bad but quite expensive transport.

Good for students, not for anyone else

The hotel was not as expected. It was very studenty and backpacker style. We were offered shots on check in. Our room stank of weed and smoke. Our clothes ended up smelling like weed smoke after just 1 night.

Everyone on our corridor came back from a night out at 11-12pm. They were slamming doors for ages. Because the bathrooms are across the corridor people were slamming doors for a good hour before it finally went silent.

Didn't enjoy the bathroom and toilet being across the corridor.

If you're a student and don't mind lack of sleep or the smell of weed, then this will suit you for the price. But for anyone else, it's worth giving it a miss.

No breakfast included either.

No daily housekeeping, staff oblivious to situations involving emergencies, uncomfortable sleeping.
“Hotel” also has a possible bed bug issue, frequently found bugs on towels, and woke up with bites.
Place has inconsistent heating, multiple times the radiators did not produce any heat, other times they were very warm.
Limited dining options in the area as well.

The staff we interacted with were very nice. What we didn’t realise when we booked this hotel was that it wasn’t a conventional hotel. The cleanliness was ok, but a bit more attention to detail wouldn’t go amiss. There was nowhere to hang up or put away clothes so literally lived out of a bag. Our room had no windows which was a bit strange but it was called the cinema room so that kind of explained it. There was also no housekeeping the whole time we were there, again this could have been advised at booking and if it was I hadn’t noticed.

I think the rooms were almost self catering as a microwave and some utensils were provided. So there was a smell of cooking from other rooms oozing into ours, wasn’t always the most palatable if I’m honest.

On a plus the hotel was within walking distance of the train station (one stop away from Amsterdam Central), the station had a few places to get something to eat/drink as well as a spar next door.

This is just like a hostel that is good for short-term stays. No freebies, no extra (no free bottled water, no restaurant/stores around) type of hotel. There’s a vending machine in the lobby with limited items and a booth with some snacks. At night, the reception area is dark and only one person is there and there’s a loud noise (like banging door) that woke me up several times. It’s decent so I wanna give it a 3 1/2 stars.

Very safe with friendly staff. Also very close to Sloterdijk train station so it was very easy to use public transportation. It wasn’t very clean. My shower curtain was very old with black mildew or mold on the bottom. They advertised that the property had laundry, but when k asked, they claimed it had been out of order for some time. They provide limited toiletries (hand soap m, and a 2 in 1 body wash/shampoo.

The street art aesthetic, competitive pricing, convenience to Sloterdijk train station and private room options made Teleport Hotel in Amsterdam a great choice. I wish there had been coffee available in the room and at least a toaster or hot plate. Despite this, it was a great landing pad for a long weekend in Amsterdam. I would go back!
