It was my terrible trip (( I arrived early and was not even allowed to enter the hotel or leave my luggage. This was very disappointing after a long trip. When I came back at 3 PM for check-in, it took an extremely long time to receive the room keys.

The woman at the front desk was very rude and spoke to us in a very unfriendly and aggressive manner. She was arguing with us even though we did not understand what she was asking for. The whole experience made us feel like we were staying at her home for free rather than as paying guests.

This level of service is completely unacceptable. I will never return to this place.

Great Little Spot in a Nice Area of AMS

Clean room, staff was nice. Was able to get into my room 30 minutes early. I ended up on the top floor with a room that faced the street. It was quiet. Bed was comfy, kind of a no frills hotel but it was perfect for my trip!

The staff were all super friendly and had great tips and recommendations. I would recommend that they get some protective covers for the mattresses though, our mattress had no cover and there was a big ? bloodstain ? on the side of it. The pillows were uncomfortable. But, the neighborhood is really nice and great access to transit. Overall it was pretty good.

I'm a single traveler, and my room was tiny. There was almost no room to store my carry on bag and my suitcase. That being said, a family could still research this hotel because they might have larger rooms.
This was 1 of the friendliest hotel staffs that I've met. I have to give a shoutout to the man who works overnights who called a taxi for me to get the airport. He was very personable and helpful, but the whole staff were very friendly. The hotel is a short walk to Vondel Park. The Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum are a short tram ride away. The hotel is in a great location.

The Staff were amazing!! They were always ready and willing to help or make suggestions to ensure my vacation was as great as it could be. Good area with grocery stores, restaurants, laundromats, and anything else you could need all within a few hundred meters. The city centre was walkable, alternatively there was multiple trams only a short walk away. Had a wonderful experience. If I vacation in Amsterdam again I'll be checking availability here first.

The property has everything you need for a safe and clean overnight accommodation. It would have been nice to have a kettle and bar fridge for convenience. And the bathroom was on the small side. However you get what you pay for. These luxuries would be at a higher price point. Amsterdam is an expensive city, so if you are content with a clean and comfortable room for sleeping only, then this place is perfect you.

The local neighbourhood was great. A supermarket next door. An abundance of bars and restaurants. We walked everywhere from the hotel with kids and it was fine. Vondelpark was only minutes away. Great for the kids.

We stayed 2 weeks here. Overall the room was clean, looks recently updated. Very sparsely furnished. No side table or clock. The bunk bed was horribly creaky so we dealt with that all night.
Front desk staff were really nice and helpful.
Housekeeping was very hit and miss with making beds and providing clean towels. We often had to go to the front desk to get towels.
The area has many restaurants but that also meant quite a bit of noise especially on weekends. Little grocery store next door.
Location is about a 10min walk to a tram station that will take you downtown or to Amsterdam Centraal. Museum Sqaure and Vondlepark at within 10 t0 20 min walk.
I would stay here again, not with a bunk bed though.

Very small budget rooms

This very small boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam has the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I had to use my suitcase for a bedside table.
The hotel staff was great
I will definitely spend more next time to get more square feet. The elevator was helpful.
The food service is still in the works and we weee offered coffee and tea in the am and some pastry in their soon to be food spot.

We just completed our stay at Hotel Heye, it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were extremely friendly and somvery helpful, especialy Amira! She went above and beyond for us!:) The hotel was very clean and they are able to accommodate holding your luggage until check in. Overall a great stay would highly recommend. Also they have coffee and pastries in restaurant for a light breakfast at a reasonable price.

Really comfortable bed and friendly staff! Room and bathroom were perfectly clean. Fun location in a very “locals” neighborhood with good restaurants and convenient trams.

A few weird, inconvenient quirks:

1. No mirror in the room except a very small over-the-sink bathroom mirror.
2. No table lamps, except a very ugly LED reading light above the bed.
3. A blackout blind on the window but no curtain or partial shading.

I liked my room. I wanted to rent a bike so that took a lot of walking but I found Mac bikes for 12 euros.

The desk clerk was quite grumpy and unhelpful when I arrived. I was worried it was going to be a bad experience when I met him.
The night clerk was great. She was friendly and helpful.
Once I found a bike to rent, I was happy.

The staff was so accommodating and helpful! There was always someone at the front desk to answer questions or let us in the building. Room was a bit small - literally just enough space for a bed! But it worked for our short stay. The neighborhood was adorable as well and felt very safe. An easy bike ride into the central city.

We have reserved this hotel for the family of 4. Room was very small. shower, toilet and sink were in a little tiny space with no shower door which water spill all over while showering. Ideally this room suppose to be for a family of 2. I have checked the other rooms, the rooms for 2 persons are bigger than the rooms for 4 persons. I wonder why they squeeze 4 people in this tiny space! In addition, hair dryer was now working and I had to go to different suite to dry my hair…. Not recommending this hotel for a family more than 2.

Excellent hotel the rooms are small but beds are so comportable..and there are wonderful black out curtains and fans in the roons..so you get a great nights sleep. Its in a great area with super restaurants and plenty of coffeeshops and a small supermarket 2 doors up..
and very handy to the tram to get into
town (which runs till 11.30pm) and is easy to use with the amsterdam 1 day blue passes.
Staff were very helpful and I would highly recomnend the area..just far enough out to feel like a local and not part of tourist hot spot .

The place was quaint. The rooms is small and the stairs are steep but they do have an elevator. They were very kind to let us check in early so we could clean up after our long flight. At night it was very noisy. Lots of yelling, a random person singing and a lot of other city noises. The shower could use a better drainage system. It was good for 1 night.

The room is small, but does have all of your basic needs. It’s good for a minimal packer/backpacker because there is not much space for big and bulky luggages. Everything in the room was clean except the fan which had already accumulated plenty of dust. As far as the area, it is several stops away from the city center but it is still convenient as the metras are only a short walk away. Came to Amsterdam for football match. Hotel was in a very nice location 15 min walk from Leidsplein and a lovely 40 mins walk from Amsterdam Central and 5 mins from Vondelpark. Great little hotel, Clean,Warm and welcoming! We made use of a 3 day travel pass. This entitled us to use the bus (397 from the airport) a small walk to the hotel, tram either 17 or 1 to the centre and the Metro to visit Ajax. The hotel is around 30 mins walk from the centre. Lots of great shops, restaurants and cafes. You need to try the bagel bar and “De Bar”
