Yes the room was clean and the layout of the room was good that four beds fit well and there was a great shower that you can walk into. There was a kettle and mugs. The reception gave us a hair dryer as the one in the bathroom was dangerous and gave off a smell of burning so we were grateful to be given a spare. This is the hotel we would choose again.

Fair Value and Convenient Location, but Let Down by Service

The hotel is conveniently located, around 15 minutes by tram from the city centre, and the rooms feel modern and recently renovated. On arrival, the room was quite cold, as one radiator was not working and the other only partially warmed, but it became comfortable after a few hours.

The lobby could use some attention, as the carpet felt worn compared to the updated rooms. Service was mixed, with staff coming across as a bit rigid and not particularly attentive. We requested breakfast slightly earlier than the standard time due to an early tour, but the reception staff were unable to accommodate the request, which suggested a lack of flexibility.

After reading several reviews about bed bugs, I was a bit worried about staying here. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was assigned a bed in the basement, and after checking it immediately, I found bed bugs. I went straight to reception and showed them video evidence with the current date and time, but the staff member denied that it was their room. I was eventually moved to a room on the 3rd floor, where I had no further issues.

On the third day of my stay, there was also a 30-minute power cut.

The hotel is only a one-minute walk from Vondelpark and is located on a street lined with luxury brands. However, there are no restaurants or supermarkets on that street—you need to walk toward Leidseplein to find any dining or grocery options.

Noise was also an issue, as I could hear other guests walking up and down the corridors and loud banging during the day.

Hotel is located about a 30 min walk from main area but easily accessible on the tram network costing approx €1.60 each way.

Hotel reception first impression isn’t brilliant but rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and good for the price.

We didn’t include breakfast so can’t comment on this.

A nice little hotel in the Museum Quarter that was obviously recently updated. Clean and comfortable, located in a quiet area, and near many shops, bars and restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Do not stay here. The room’s carpet had dried out vomit and the bed sheets had hair from previous guests. Dirtiest room ive ever seen we didnt even want to use the beds and showers and left the next morning. This should a 1 star hotel.

Good value and clean room

Clean and well laid out room, bathroom clean and tidy, with plenty of towels provided. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and free water refills downstairs. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk and a lift for cases etc.

Basement room smelt like a sewer the entire time we were there. Fridge in the room didn’t work, reported smell and fridge to front desk to be told ‘none of the fridges in the hotel work!’. I was given a can of lynx body spray for the smell - unacceptable. Carpet torn and walls dirty, would not recommend and certainly would never stay there again.

The property is in the heart of Amsterdam. It is easy to get anywhere from the hotel. We stayed in a room in the third floor with windows that open at the top only three inches. It was 95 degrees outside with no air conditioning and no way to cool down our room temperature which made sleeping extremely difficult.

Not as described! Paid extra as this room supposed to have fridge , it wasn’t there. Asked about it and they said that they are replacing the fridge and the new unit is not there yet. Then they should charge less. Bath area is 2x2 feet, if you are a big guy, can’t take shower here. Noisy doors at night , anyone shuts the door , it slams in itself and wakes you up. No ironing arrangement. And the room phone doesn’t work. Only good thing is 24/7 ice and free coffee .
Far from city centre, but that’s why it’s a bit cheaper.

Hotel was everything it stated when booking the room. We booked a basement triple bed room. Room was very clean on arrival. Every day we received new towels and rooms were regularly cleaned. Only downside was the fridge didn't work in our room. However the reception did have an ice machine which did help. Suffered from mosquito bites, made reception aware of this and thankfully he went and sprayed the room and made it a better nights sleep for us for the rest of the stay. Would have preferred to have air conditioning in the room but there was a fan which did help. Overall was really satisfied with the hotel and room we stayed in. I would happily stay there again.

Not good: wifi did not work in my room at all very frustrating I told them they said they will fix it but nope!
First morning woken up by noise and could not sleep past 8am.
Sink in bathroom barely have any water coming down, told them but nothing changed after.
Second night shower was totally cold I told them next day, they asked me I should have gone downstairs at reception to tell them how? please note this was at 3am and I was freezing, I just wanted to go to bed.

Shower towel only good for a man, as way too small for a woman.
A small issue was they have no plugs near the hallway mirror meaning if you need to use hair straightener you have to locate yourself near a socket and try guessing what you doing as you cannot see yourself!

Overall way to expensive for what you get! between £80 to £140 each night plus city tax that was an extra 50 euro (£ night) its way too much, breakfast was an extra 17 euro, I did not get it, I preferred to go to a cafe near by and pay less.
I been in 4-5 star hotels including the breakfast for the same price.
I wont go back issue I had where not resolved,therefore I would have expected some money back after the issues I had!

We booked the Quadruple Room that accomodates 4 pax. The room was small with little walking space. Room had basic decor. The mattresses were very soft and they kept slipping a bit out of our beds. The shower doors were derailed and they became stuckwirh 3/4 closed and the bolts at 2.corners of the edges came off. The reception offered to change room for us, but I managed to move the doors to full open so we declined the change of room.

Location wise, it's one street away from the branded goods shopping outlet. It's 5 minutes walk to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijkmuseum, and Stedlikij Museum. There's a tram stop outside of Van Gogh Museum that have trams going to Amsterdam Centraal train station and Amsterdam Zuid train station.

Reception staff were friendly and smiley.

This property has bed bugs. STAY AWAY!

I was only in Amsterdam for three days and I had to spend one of those days washing all my clothes at a laundry (at my own expense) and buying new unaffected clothes to wear while I did the washing. This also cost me.

I lost a lot of money and holiday time because of this filthy establishment and its blatant disregard for the well-being of its patrons. Other reviews verify the presence of bed bugs. I do not understand why this hotel is still running, let alone why it is advertised on a site like Expedia.

Would never, ever stay again at this hotel!! Not only is it extremely outdated, there’s no air conditioner, and they tell you not to open the windows because they are infested with mosquitos. I was put in a room with my fiancé and was told not to open the window, so we didn’t the first night. I was eaten alive by mosquitoes that night because the window was broken and wouldn’t shut properly. Awful hotel- weird smell. Do not stay here!!!!

The room was fine. The beds have a think matress topper which keeps coming off. Our room was a basement which was unbearably hot which no air con. So hot sleep was impossible.

Good location. The hotel is at best a two-star facility. The room had poor lighting, non working phone system and no air conditioning. Operable window had no screening for bugs. The bathroom was in need of serious repair and updating, no wash cloths, no toiletries, no bath soap. Since the one night stay was in August and cooling is via open windows in room and common areas, many mosquitos were present. In short, would look anywhere else next time in Amsterdam.

- Amazing room & washroom
- Free coffee in the lobby is a plus (this is apart from the refreshments provided in the room)
- Fresh towels everyday

Locality:
- We literally walked everywhere. The only time we took the tram was when arriving into the city because we had luggage
- Safe and nice neighbourhood
- Right next to vondelpark
- So many shopping options right outside the hotel in the streets

Hotel is dirty and has a strong cigarette smell in room and linens. Staff is condescending and rude. I would recommend staying literally anywhere else. We arrived and the rooms were gross and we couldn’t breathe it smelt so strong of cigarette. We couldn’t get our money back and the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly rude and condescending. We booked a last minute room at the Hyatt and the commute to the city was worth it to not stay here.

The hotel is in a good location, on a quiet street, but the rooms are small and greatly overpriced. The beds are very uncomfortable, with mattress tops that slide easily. My kid fell out of bed at night. No AC, the fridge was locked, the bathroom was small. Overall, a very very basic hotel with hyper-inflated rates.

My first visit

I stayed in room 217. The room, bedding and towels were very clean with towels replaced daily. It backed onto the Vondelpark so I looked out onto trees and hear birdsong rather than tram and traffic noise.The decor was a little tired and the bathroom was very small but the shower was good with plentiful hot water and I found it ideal as a solo traveller. Reception staff were helpful and informative. For a weekend trip to see the museums and quieter parts of Amsterdam it is ideally placed.

the stay was not good the hotel has a Bug infestation we had Re- Booked 4 Rooms for the next week then tried to cancel with full refund as 4 out of the 6 guys who stayed were covered in bites they sent me photos and videos of the bites and the bugs crawling around the bed and room on the towels the hotel was sent this footage but still refused to refund the the canceled booking so would not recommend any one to stay its not the cheapest or the most expensive in the area but regardless of the cost you would expect the room to be clean and no bed bugs so please stay away, they have not acknowledged any of the footage they were sent and what they are going to do to rectifies the problem they just said Flat no to the refund there are more photos and videos but would need to get the guys permission before posting

The rooms were small and the single beds small however the bedding was clean. Not much space to store suitcases.

The electronic key stopped working on our floor for two out of the three days we were there so we had to ask someone to come and unlock it each time we wanted to get into the room. It took 15-20 minutes once as the member of staff with the key was somewhere in the building who no one could find!

The location was really good. We enjoyed the park and the accessibility to the city. We enjoyed walking around.

Hotel is in a good location in the museum district, only a short walk from Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh. Tram and bus stops are also around the corner. Would stay here again. Breakfast was basic but filled us up. We had a twin room (2x twins) room was very small but we were out all day so it wasn't an issue. No AC so keep this in mind!

We had a triple room in the basement. It had a couple of decent windows which was handy as the room did get quite hot! We overlooked a courtyard/garden which was good as we felt safe opening a window overnight. The room was cleaned every day. Steep stairs (but it is Amsterdam) but there is a lift! Which was very nice and it came quickly when called. Bathroom could do with a little update as the shower leaked water over the floor outside the cubicle and space was tight between the toilet and shower. We were able to leave our bags when we checked out and collect later in the day.

Be prepared! This property charges additional fees when you arrive, so just because you thought you had paid the hotel fee and all taxes and all fees, they charge you an additional fee that if you don't pay they will deny you your room. Highway Robbery!!! Stay away!
