The staff were lovely. The room was clean. For a rather inexpensive hotel it was very nice & in a very safe area. Close to museums and about 18 minutes from the shopping. Very easy to get to on a bus from the airport as well!

It was all well. I found Mr. valps, manger in charge very uncooperative. First he said he does not know English and later I found him talking to other clients in English. That means he did not want to speak to non white people.
Secondly I asked him if we can check in early. He asked for 10 euro per hour. In my previous stay at the same hotel, we payed 5 euro per hour.
I asked him if he will give a receipt for it, he denied.
I asked him for his card, he denied to give.

Hotel is in a good location near all the museums and a nice 30 min walk into the center.
The room wasn’t the cleanest, bottles under the bed from previous guests alongside crumbs on the carpet corners where hoovering had not been done: We pressed clean up before leaving the room each day and found the bedsheets were not changed and had the same stain on for the whole duration of our stay despite it being obvious to cleaning staff the bedding needed changing. If you’re looking to bed out most of the day it’s a nice hotel for Amsterdam and affordable.

This hotel was located 4 minutes walking distances from the best museum and transportation, the area was very cute with lots of food options and things to do. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The bathroom was clean and room although small was comfortable. Only stayed 2 nights.

ROOM WAS DISGUSTING. A serious health concern. There were BUGS crawling on the mattress. Stains on the bedding. Dust, food, and dirt all over the floor. They told us they could not switch the room. We were told not to check out and they would notify us when a better room became available. They never notified us, then told me they checked us out and could not offer any compensation- NO alternate room, or anything. I am severely disappointed, disgusted. and traumatized from this experience. No matter what you do, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Hotel location is quiet and close to Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum and Concertgebouw. The room was clean, and comfortable. Onsite breakfast is convenient and has good food selection.

On the 1st night we were put in a room, well I say room, it was more like a cupboard with 2 beds, nothing else, no bedside tables or lamps no where to put them. Then on the 2nd day we were given a double room which was bigger. No teabags, rubbish coffee pod machine, no biscuits, couldn't make a decent cup of tea. For your UK guests there should ba a kettle, teabags, milk. I would not stay in one of these hotels ever again. Disappointed.

A bit of a find! I made a last minute booking and wanted to stay in the Museum Quarter because of the proximity to the Rijksmuseum and to be in a quieter area. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Even the breakfast scored highly for variety and quality. In terms of customer service I'd like to mention Jorge, who was exemplary. Definitely recommend and will stay again.

Got double room on ground floor with no windows.
Great room, no complaints at all. Spacious, comfortable beds and bedding. Air conditioning worked great.
Clean, adequately sized bathroom. Comfortable shower stall with rainfall shower head, hot water worked well.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Conveniently located hotel, out of main area so is quieter, but very easy access via walking and tram stops.
Minutes away from Amsterdam Centraal station.

This was an affordable room in the Museum Quarter which was a good location for my short visit to Amsterdam. My room was clean, but unbelievably small. There was a strong sewage smell in one corner of the room. I imagine that this came from outside, but it was still unpleasant. The staff was helpful but cool.

this hotel is pretty good! We were able to check in early which is always great and our room was very modern and clean. only downfall was that it was a very small room with not much room to move about. In terms of making it into the city centre, it was about a 30 minute walk but tram services are also available very close. This hotel provided exactly what we needed. Comfort and cleanliness

Mixed review - initial room was tiny (like TINY) but the issue was a terrible smell when air conditioning was on (and being 35 degrees we needed it) - the smell was so foul like sewerage.
After one night they moved us to another room, slightly bigger and no smell which was great.

We spent seven nights here and had a room we shared with our adult daughter. Even with two beds, there was plenty of space for all three of us. We had the hotel's breakfast each morning, and it was fine, with an assortment of options. We loved the easy, walkable access of the hotel to the tram stops, Vondlepark, and the museums! We'd happily stay here again.

This hotel was terrible. Hotel is not the proper word. It is fit for students traveling with backpacks. The rooms are small, crammed with soft, sagging beds, and not all that clean. Shower was decent. It is located within walking distance to museums and restaurants. Expedia needs to send someone to Amsterdam to review this site. It was not at all up to our standards. A total disappointment!

The XO was such a disappointment. The desk attendants on Saturday wore unhelpful and seemed to know nothing about the local area -- even where to buy postage stamps! We checked into our room with empty Shower Gel (Hair/Body Soap), asked the evening desk person and he said we'd have to wait until following day! We ended up taking one from housekeeping cart since no follow-up. Room was not clean -- found dirty towel on side of tall cabinet. There are no drawers for clothes! Only a cabinet to hang clothes and they had bent wire hangers with cheap plastic too. On Monday the desk person was better (possibly Mgr). He could tell us where a post box was close-by. Rooms are super small if in a double. Friend and I shared bed; wasn't twins as thought. They were comfortable. Breakfast is on bottom foor and 15 Euro. We found Small Talk cafe on main street nearby which was wonderful for same cost. The best thing about hotel was its Location! Could walk everywhere and near the Museums and Passage way to canals. The hotel has potential but needs to work on cleanliness and customer service.

Nice boutique hotel

Overall positive experience staying at XO Hotel Inner, Amsterdam. Welcoming and friendly staff at the front desk and breakfast room. Great location in the museum quarter within 15-20 minutes walk to Concertgebouw concert hall, Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum...etc.
I only give 4 stars overall because the hotel does not have an ice making machine in the lobby and a mini bar fridge in the room.

The hotel is located near Rijksmuseum and Van Gough Museum; which is the primary reason we chose to stay here. The room is a typical room size in Europe, adequate with all the needed basics. Public transportation to the main train station and downtown is in walking distance; breakfast is with decent selections.

We booked a room with a window. We had a window that was 8 feet up and approximately 1’x2’ with opaque glass and not operable. We paid extra for this?! We had black hair fall out of our towels and the towels were very threadbare. The room we had looks NOTHING like the pictures.

We had a great time at XO. The location was very convenient, and all the museums we planned to visit were within walking distance. The check-in was the fastest I've ever experienced, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The area is very nice, quiet, and safe, with some good food options around. This was our first trip to Amsterdam, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel staff wasn’t unfriendly but not overly welcoming or helpful like we’ve encountered in other European countries. The rooms are very small and they weren’t necessarily cleaned each day. We had to ask for more toilet paper, coffee and tea. The room was clean when we checked in. The room doors had to be pulled to shut so they made a bit of a slam noise each time someone shut their door.

The hotel appears to be recently renovated, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was especially helpful as we experienced difficulties with some of our credit cards, and they kindly allowed us to use their phones to contact authorities in North America. The location is remarkable; next to the major art museums and public transportation is within 100 m to take you right to downtown and anywhere else in Amsterdam you may wish to go. The restaurants and ice cream places are also in evidence and all in all, it was a great neighbourhood to stay at.

I found the door to the bathroom a really tight squeeze and

I got snapped at by the concierge because the door was locked and it is a 24 hour hotel, so I knocked, waited, and knocked again after a minute or so and I was apparently not patient enough.
