The location was absolutely amazing! Walking distance from all the best museums. The staff was incredibly and lots of different restaurants and dinning options around. We didn’t get the breakfast but it looked very traditional and smelled tasty and they had a complimentary bar for coffee and tea as well as water and sparkling water!

I stayed in the single room for 3 nights as a solo female traveler looking to explore the museums and dabble in the night life. I had a wonderful time at the Muse. The single room was small, but had all the required amenities including a safe, spotless bathroom with excellent water pressure , a nespresso machine and a minibar with free water and soft drinks. The staff were very courteous as well - Hassan who was working the reception desk when I checked in, was very helpful and went out of his way to help me when some food I ordered got delayed.
The location was brilliant as well. It was in a relatively quiet neighbourhood but only a 10 minute walk to the museums, and there's a tram stop with citywide transport links a 2 min walk away.
Would 100% stay here again - excellent value for money.

Room was right behind the elevator so I hear it going up or down while trying to sleep then the wall or cabinet would creak maybe from the pull of elevator. Tried the ear plugs but not used to it. Tub is quite a step up or down even for a 6 footer like me.

I love its location in a lovely quiet street .The area around the hotel is fantastic with cafes, restaurants and shops and walking distance to the best museums of Amsterdam . Tram stop right in front of the hotel . The staff are always friendly and helpful . Feels like home at the Muse Amsterdam!

This is one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at in Amsterdam. The staff are exceedingly friendly, the rooms are well designed and have everything a north america traveller would expect. As a bonus, they gave me chocolate and soft drinks as a welcome bonus, and all the free coffee I could drink. Very close to the tran and metro. Short walk to the museums and other attractions. Very fair price, especially considering the rooms and staff.

Great location just south of the museums. Tram station within one minute walking-short journey to the central part of city. Easy to walk to the museums (Van Gogh, Stedelijk and Rijksmuseum). Also great restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood. Indoor swimming pool by the Rijksmuseum-Zuiderbad-within walking distance through quiet residential neighborhood for those needing/wanting their daily exercise. The best part of the hotel is the staff-friendly and great service! Will stay here again.

This was our second time staying here. We love the hotel, it’s got great facilities, a great location, right near a tram and the staff are incredible. All staff are friendly and happy to help, nothing is ever too much. The hotel room and bathroom is a fair size compared to other hotels and it has a lift unlike other hotels. On this stay the room wasn’t as clean as we would have liked and the toilet seat was cracked but we would stay again.

We took the #397 bus from the airport, which dropped us off a short walk from the hotel (fast, easy and cost-effective). City centre was about 30 mins via tram. Staff were excellent: friendly, helpful, and gave advice on restaurants and transit. Room was cozy, very clean and well air-conditioned (Amsterdam was very warm when we visited). The fridge was also stocked with goodies for us to enjoy free of charge - a pleasant surprise. We were treated very well and we enjoyed our stay. We would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel!

Comfortable Boutique Hotel near Museums

Pleasant stay. Very convenient for the museums and a 20 minute walk into the Old Town, Dam Square, the Palace, etc. Some good bars and eateries within a short walk. Supermarket 5mins walk away.

Room comfortable, bathroom small but functional. Some complimentary drinks in the room. Unfortunately the coffee pods were not replenished during our three night stay. Breakfast (Continental) was available, €2 discount if you book the day before.

Hotel staff pleasant and helpful with some recommendations. Our room was available early. Bags can be left safely after checkout (11am) in the reception area.

A great place to be , lovely room with balcony

Lovely room with balcony in a side street quiet building, only minutes away from the Concertgebow. I loved my room and being there after a long transatlantic flight. A plus: the Nespresso coffee maker. Nice linens, comfortable bed. Small but very efficient bathroom. Close to a great bakery where I got the best bread and apple cake.
I d stay there again in the future!

Small and cozy

The stay was nice overall. If I should say anything, it is that the room was quite small, also the bathroom which had a bathtub. We had a room with a balcony which I can recommend. It faced a very small back garden. The location was good, 2 mins walk to the tram.

The hotel was conveniently located to the museums so an easy walk. The restaurants in the area were limited, but sufficient.
Our only complaint was to arrive to discover a huge citywide celebration was during our stay and I felt we should have been advised ahead of our stay. We had tickets to at least 2 venues that we didn’t use because of the crowds.

The hotel is tiny but it is convenient. The services are good except the housekeeping. They left my room unlocked in one day. They threw our pyjama on the floor in another day. Also, they left their badge key under my back bag which I would think about the security issues.

Compact and convenient

This hotel was handy to tram lines and very walkable to the big museums, as well as the southern canals, which is a much more pleasant neighbourhood than Dam square etc. I chose a small single to save money, but if you have money to spare, book a bigger room! The young man at the front desk was very helpful. The mini fridge with the free beverages was much appreciated.

I have mixed feelings about this property. It was in a great location so that’s the biggest plus. It was only a five minute walk to the airport bus and 10 minutes to most of the museums.

I didn’t find the room, particularly comfortable yes it was small but that was okay. But the bedding was really heavy and hot for April so I needed to run the air conditioner all the time. Electricity only stays on if you keep a card in the room, which meant the mini fridge had warm drinks, which was strange to me.

There was a different staff person at the desk every single time so it was hard to really have much of an experience with anyone.

There is a courtyard area, but it was not really appealing when staff were out there smoking.

On arrival we were left standing for a good 5-10 mins while the male member of staff on reception spoke to a friend on the phone, so that didn’t give a good first impression. We were quite disappointed with the size of room we were allocated and found it to be dark and very small, at the back of the property with a tiny bathroom, but it was clean and the towels were changed daily and as we were really only going to be in to shower and sleep, it wasn’t an issue.

The hotel is in a good area, close to the tram and a short walk to the museum quarter with lots of shops and restaurants. There is a small breakfast area and courtyard which guests can also use. There seems to be a resident cat who hangs around and tried to get into our room one day, so keep an eye out for it if you have allergies (or aren’t fond of cats)

Also make sure you are ready for the checkout time, as amusingly, for the first time ever staying in a hotel we were actually chased out of the room at 11:00 on the dot by the male receptionist!

It's in a quiet part of the Museum Quarter. Walking distance to Van Gogh museum, Moca museum and Rijks museum. Tram station nearby to go to the city center and Amsterdam Centraal. Friendly staff, 24/7 front desk and a warm breakfast is available.

The hotel is in easy reach to the centre, with the tram stop just one minute walk.

The hotel has good size rooms, the staff is super helpful and very friendly. There are free drinks availble in the mini fridge, with some chocolates and tea & coffee are free after 12pm in the breakfast area. Very nice touch!

The cat, Bella, is adorable!

I would certainly reccomend this hotel to anyone that wants to be in a nice, quiet location, yet not far from the hustle & bustle.

This was such a great property. You complete most of checking before arrival so actually getting your keys is a quick and easy process. The lovely gentleman who was working during check in was friendly knowledgeable and went out of his way to help me with my bags which was very much appreciated.
There’s coffee /tea and water available after 12pm in the dining area which was the nicest I’ve seen at any property.
The score for my stay would have been higher but there were some small areas of cleanliness/ attention to detail that kept it dfrom getting 5 stars. The bottoms of the doors could use a paint refresh and there were bleach stains on the carpet in the hallways. The ceiling tiles in my rooms bathroom also showed some water damage.
But overall the room was plenty big enough for one person, including all the important features. A great benefit of the hotel is its location. It was about 15 minutes to museum square and about 30 to the edge of the tourist section. There are plenty of restaurant/cafe options nearby. And because the hotel is a little outside tourist areas it’s little quieter but also the restaurants were a little nicer as frequented by locals which is always a plus.

Great Hotel near Public Transportation

Hotel is located close to downtown and right near public transportation making it convenient, while still being in a quiet area. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and comfortable. The only complaint was the mini fridge/minibar in the room didn't work and that was something I needed. But it was filled with free water and chocolate, so that's a very nice touch.
