I absolutely loved the room and the old time charm of the elevator. Everything was clean. The staff was amazing! Had a noise issue but they took care of it right away and really care about all their guests! I would definitely recommend staying there and will be back in the future.

Small hotel is off the beaten path. Not many amenities. Not enough electrical outlets in room. Bed & pillows were hard and not very comfortable. No air conditioning in room and window does not have a screen so could not get fresh air. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. We had a “comfort” room; it was small. Room cleaning was basically some clean towels & making our bed. Definitely a no frills hotel. Desk Staff was accommodating & friendly. I feel this hotel is overpriced for what you receive.

Location was spot on, as near to museum quarter as you could hope, walking distance to everything.
Breakfast was time slotted, pick your tine when you want it, great idea as breakfast room not huge, this system ensured no overcrowding, tables available and food replenished. Not seen this method before, but it works well
Only issue is parking!
Listing states parking and EV charging,
It has neither,
you have to go to local QPark for that, other wise you may be lucky to find a spot on the street, but don't count on it. Listing should NOT offer parking at all. There is NONE.
Lift to all floors. All in all anorher good hotel from hotels.com, apart from totally false info regarding parking

Convenient location.

Location was nice and convenient; room was fairly spacious for a solo traveler but the lift doesn’t go up to the 4th floor so if you have a lot of luggage this could be problematic. The stairway is quite narrow as well. The shower, though it works, was really small and difficult not to get water everywhere.

Everything about this stay was great. Daily housekeeping. Coffee/tea/kettle in room. Great big window for fresh air. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The only thing to note is that the elevator stops at the 3rd floor; so if you get a 4th floor room then you will have to go up one flight of stairs. Great location. Overall great value and stay in Amsterdam!

Breakfast was good with many options and they made me breakfast to go when I left early. The location is very convenient to public transport, including the bus to the airport at Schiphol.

A couple of steps above a dump, really. Mirror light over the micro sink didn’t work, safe didn’t work properly, Light switch at door didn’t work. There was one pillow on the twin bed which was as thick and hard as an upholstered chair pillow. Paper-thin walls with thumping and screaming children. Breakfast was pretty decent, with hot items, but coffee was horrible. I would give it 2.5 stars, but not 3.

Great but be careful about choosing your room.

Wonderful place with friendly and hard-working staff. My only issue was that my room was on the first floor, next to the janitor's closet and dining area. At night, I heard someone pull things from the closet, making a loud noise from either the dining area or the closet. I woke up several times. So, you would request a room not next to the dining room and maybe upper floors.

Very clean hotel close to Museumplain (Van Gogh Museum and Reiksmuseum) with a good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Room and bath were very tiny though- and no hotel lobby or sitting area , no extra frills . Fine for a night or 2 in Amsterdam.

Small hotel, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean room, with modernized bathroom. Ultra convenient, located near main museums and major tram lines to take you to the rest of the city.

Streetside room was a little noisy due to trams going by. Wish there was more storage for clothes- we had a small armoire with only 1 shelf for clothes that were not on hangers. A chest of drawers would have been handy (although hard to fit in such a small space).

Overall, a good hotel that I would go back to.

The Bad
We paid US$330 per day which included breakfast. The hotel is old Europe and the room was small. The mattress sagged and was uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning. We were happy to be there when the temperature was in the low 70s (F).
The Good
Great location of museum and supermarket. The staff was nice and English is spoken.

Avoid the single room at ground floor!!

The hotel locates at a nice and quiet neighborhood, also within very short walk to the museums. The single that I stayed was small but very clean and cozy. However, the nightmare started at late night when I was about to get a good night sleep for the long-haul flight next day. Divided by a very thin wall & door, all the footsteps, conversations, laughing and guests asking questions to the reception desk, early morning staffs cooking in the kitchen happening outside.....making my sleep impossible. I ended up putting on my noise-cancellation headset and set the cancellation to maximum.

In short: this room should never be sold as a hotel room (for staffs only maybe), let along with local long weekend holiday, I ended up paying over 300 euros for such a nightmare. It's a ripped off and this should not be the right way to run business.

We did not like: tiny room on top floor accessed by walking up to the top while lift stopped at floor below. Above all. we HATED the hard-as-rock pillows - when we complained the next morning, they said that they have softer ones, but those were not in the room when we needed them.

I wrote a review elsewhere here after my last visit saying how disappointed I was with that stay. This visit, booked before my last stay, was far better. I was in room 32 which was small but perfectly fine, in contrasf to the truly dreadful room on my last visit. So it seems to be a bit of a lottery as to which room is assigned to you. Staff are helpful, location is excellent, and couldn't be more convenient for museum area. Only 2 minutes' walk to Concertgebouw concert hall. Hopefully this visit is more representative than last one.

Very disappointing, sadly. I have stayed here 7 or 8 times previously, all of which were fine, and I mentioned I was a regular at check-in. Also brought a small box of biscuits as thank you to staff for help during last visit in August. Despite all that I was given the smallest room I've ever stayed in. The shower 'room' was so small the wash hand basis was installed outside it. I'd to do various contortions to get into the room, the door and bed were so tightly close. Dreadful experience. I'm a realist, I know rooms at this price in Amsterdam are modest, but this was crazy. So sad, after previous good stays, and the staff are very nice, room size not their problem!

My husband and I were disappointed when we arrived and more so when we were assigned our room. We arrived early due to overnight transatlantic schedule, not expecting early access to our room, but a place to relax while waiting. The receptionist gladly stored our bags but reluctantly told us we could stay in the rear garden if we wished. We opted to walk around area. Hours later and exhausted, we returned to the hotel to learn that the lift only went up 3 floors and we had to climb another flight of stairs to reach our tiny room on the top floor. We are seniors who should have been notified in advance. We were physically unable to carry our bags up those stairs. The receptionist helped us.

The room was tiny. My husband couldn't even fit in the shower.

Breakfast was varied and okay if you arrived while food was still hot. Very crowded dining area. Some people had to sit outside.

Overall, hotel is 2* at best and we would not return.

First return to this hotel since Covid. It's a great location, perfect for the concert hall and main museums. Small rooms but typical of this city. Coffee facility in room a real plus. I'd a problem getting my room cleaned on second day. The cleaning staff said they'd do it straight away so I went for hour-long walk and coffee to let them do their job. Three hours later I was still waiting for them. Frustrating and ended up not getting room cleaned. That said, reception staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, really nice people who make the stay that little bit extra. Apart from the cleaning glitch I'd a great return after 2.5 years and look forward to my next stay in 2 months.

Concert Hotrl is placed on great location close to Museum with good connection to public transportation. All rooms were always clean during my stuff and all personal great and helpful. Some rooms have a bit annoying shower and sometimes you can hear you neighbours, but personal is doing great job if there is any noise in late hours.

We booked a last minute nights stay with the children. Was easy check in and quad family room was a good size and clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom a little small but ok however shower screen not fixed and water all over the floor after a shower. Great location 2 minutes walk to Van Gogh museum and then a 1km walk to Dam square further short walk to central station.

I asked for extended checkout. Checkout is at 11am. I called the counter at 9 and informed him I would need a 2-pm check out, but I was interrupted 4 times by housekeeping, and consequently those extra hours did me no good as far as getting that extra sleep, but I still ended up paying €10/hr with only a €10 discount. I was charged an extra €20, even though I didn’t even eat that breakfast I was was charged €10 for. So really, not at all a discount.

Great location 10/20 mins speed walk to gay area.

It was a last minute booking as my friend never got back to me about hotels and what we should do.
The booking process on the app was ok but there was not a box for codes like the 5% discount hotels.com offered for booking on the app.
Went to hotel found out that my card hadn't been charged and had to pay cash on arrival in which case I had to go and get some money at atm or I would of been charged an additional fee by the hotel. This was not clear in the booking process. I was dissapointed by this.
I was allowed to checkin and go to room then go to ATM shortly after so tho not good was managed well by hotel.
The room was Top Floor which was fine and I went in the lift which was old but had a lot of charm to it as had been refurbished recently. The room was immaculately clean. Was nice decent size for 2 people tho I was solo. LCD TV with lots of channels, phone and good sized bathroom. There was no shelf for personal bathroom items but the refurbished bathroom was really nice and clean and spacious for my needs. Nice walk-in shower good hot water.
Tea/Coffee facilities was provided and the warm was nice and warm with a nice view.
Room service was daily and the room service lady was very warm and friendly and attentive to detail.
My towels were replaced daily which is nice but for the environment not essential as I would be happy to leave on floor and have replaced upon request rather then daily.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We understood each other.

No lift to 4th flr, sewage smell in bathrrom

Cannot recommend this hotel due to: very bad sewage smell in bathroom (told staff and bought an air freshner and left fan on all the time...with absolutely no improvement), lift only goes to 3rd floor....while we were on the 4th flr (we had to drag our large suitcases up winding staircase to our flr), walls are thin so noise travels into the room, hotel charges extra 4% to use a card to pay, bad wifi signal, there is no barrier on the floor for the shower so water gets everwhere and the shower is so small / is a rainfall shower only so it is very difficult to shower, and the bed & room is small with no storage (for luggage or toiletries). Pros: Hotel is in a decent location, daystaff friendly, kettle in room, and cleaners left fresh linens each day.

False advertising! Nothing to do with the nice images they show you in the web-page. What you are really get is the smallest room with the smallest bathroom. It's no shower curtain, no privacy(it's a barn style sliding door with 1 1/2 inch space between the door and the wall), so you can smell and see everything what is going on in the bathroom from the room. They have a tiny elevator which only runs up to a 3rd floor. Our room was on the 4th. You have to go up those horribly steep stairs carrying your suitcases. As advertised by hotel amenities: limited onsite parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis (surcharge). In real life, you have to find a parking spot on the street, then find the place where to pay. We’ve totally regretted to stay in that Hotel. It was very inconvenient. We’ve stayed the room on the roadside. The weather was really warm and there is no air conditioner. We had to open the windows but it was really noise, as though you try to sleep on the street. This was the WORST hotel experience I have encountered in all of my travels.

Staff always helpful and friendly.
Great breakfast. Location especially convenient for the Concertgebouw; excellent for several museums. Near tram stops for access to the rest of the city, and near stop for the direct bus from Schiphol (#197).

Very convenient location, walking distance to the museums, lots of good places to eat nearby, friendly, helpful and courteous staff, family friendly, clean room and bathroom. Definitely recommend to stay.

Excellent location. Good breakfast. Clean rooms. Recommend to pay fees while booking instead of with credit card at hotel. Using credit card at hotel results in huge fee. No frills, basic hotel. Would stay again since little time spent in room.

The hotel is located in a quite neighborhood close to the Concert hall. The room was pretty small, but okay for a two day stay. Breakfast was decent and the personnel helpful.

Molded walls. Leaky shower. Lack of ventilation. Would not stay again nor recommend to a friend even for a great price.
