I have never seen a hotel this small with beds you can not fit into.
Elevator can only hold two regular size people.
The stairs going up and down inside are do steep you’ll fall if you do not look.
I didn’t saw any air condition but I’ll saw there was none.
You can hardly move around if two people are inside this hotel.
This hotel is more like a closet.

Stayed a couple nights with a 6 month baby and family. Staff were all very friendly and more than helpful. Our room was both clean and spacious, we also had a balcony which we enjoyed using. Water was hot. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Great location! Would definitely look into staying again the next time we are visiting Amsterdam. Thank you

Great location for traveling on a budget

This is a great place to stay if you like to walk to different areas. Vondelpark, and popular areas like DePijp, Leidseplein, and Klaverstraat are within distrance. And the tram stops are a minute walk away. International travelers can take the bus to the hotel; the bus stop is within a quarter mile of the hotel.
Staff is friendly.

The lift is unpredictable. Despite signs saying you need to stay clear of the door or it stops, theres extremely little room, especially with luggage.
Beds were the creakiest things in the world. Window had no latch, didnt want to leave balcony door open incase neightbour who shared balcony intruded. Taps for hot and cold water were the wrong way round. And there was a constant bad smell in the corridors

What bothered me most was no lobby with comfortable chairs to await 2 pm room availability.
Room was clean with comfortable beds but resembled a dormitory rather than double bed room. There was a bunk bed, a double bed and a single bed with almost no room to turn around.

Quite good location (a few steps from VanGogh Muséum, Moco, Rijksmuseum...), and easy access to public transport.
However, very tiny room, inappropriate bathroom and numerous problems (with the locking card, broken door from the inside, bugs...).
It is worth paying a little more to be better hosted.

When you book this hotel, you're paying just for the location. Everything else is very, very mediocre. The stairs are VERY steep and narrow. The room was very small with little space to put your luggage, and the lack of ventilation made it get stuffy quickly. The bunk bed was very standard, and mattresses were decent. There were a couple of stains on towels, but the shower and toilet generally seemed clean (although the flushing mechanism was really hard to use).

I liked the location and the overall value of the hotel. The location is right by the museum, nice cafes, and beautiful parks. The building is small and everything is compact. It encourages you to explore the city and not the room. Front staff was friendly. Somethings I did not like: 1.I saw some ants in my bathroom and sink. I thought about saying something to the front desk, but choose not to since I didn’t the other guest at the front to be alarmed. I took a video of the ants if anyone would like to see. 2. The shower and liner is poorly designed. Water is freely allowed to leave the shower and accumulate in the toilet area of the bathroom. Every time you take a shower you practically flood the bathroom area. 3. The towels and blankets had stains on them. I didn’t mind it but I imagine some might. Hotel walls are very thin, but expected at a place like this.

I would would use again if I visit Amsterdam again.

Affordable sleep and shower place for my grandson and myself on a high-school trip. Tram is a block away and museums are at the front door. Grocery across tram tracks for munchies and necessities. 2nd stay here. First one was with mom 7 yrs ago. Bathroom has shower seat and adjustable hand held. TV needs some work, but not a must-have.

This was one of the cheapest options and I was little leery of staying here. But it is extremely convenient for museums and trams are close by, so not bad for getting around. I took a gamble and was pleasantly surprised. It was a small, basic room but everything worked and the bed was fine. The doors to the rooms shut hard, so I heard a number of people come and go late into the night, but it wasn't too bad. There is only one elevator, so you may have a wait if you can't take the stairs.

Unfortunately very noisy tourists passing on street throughout the night prevented sleep, other people passing on stairs. I bolted up in the night worried someone was going to open my door. Hot weather with no ac or fan so had to keep windows open. Nice location to trams and museums but won’t stay here again…

Clean and good value. Our double room with twin beds was very narrow and the beds were very narrow as well. If you need a larger bed or have a lot of luggage this place may not be for you.

Excellent value, clean, and location was fantastic. Not too loud (street noise) but nothing intolerable. It was nice that the windows opened. The only thing that we would have liked, was a small fridge and a kettle.

Great place to stay

Perfect location, short walk to museums such as Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. Also great access to trams, the tram stops very close to the hotel and you can catch the tram to the main city area easily and quickly. Rooms were fairly clean, check in and check out was fast. My only complaint is that we didn't have a TV remote but that didn't matter to us too much because we were out all day anyway. Great place to stay if you want to explore Amsterdam, will choose this hotel again if I return!

Good and convenient place to stay in Amsterdam

It was good in general but wifi can’t reach the room or nothing at all. No shower gel no shampoo ( container was empty ) yes we could have asked but it should be provided when the room is ready.
The place is very near to tram going to the main places and also very near to buses going and from the airport which is convenient. I would still recommend it if your not fuzzy about the service that are not provided.

Great location with transport links around corner, local convenience shop nearby with around 20-25 mins walk into the heart of Amsterdam.

Room itself was rather noisy combined with toilet which kept overflowing/running (Reported but no one fixed)

Beds themselves were not that comfy. One bin located in toilet area, could do with another as this one is a small bin.

Within the shower room some exposed wires were shown, maybe a way to cover these up perhaps.

However with everything mentioned we felt with it being the cheapest price around overall it wasn’t too bad, location made up for the areas of improvements.

I knew when I booked that the Trianon was a basic hotel and I chose it because it was close to where a friend was staying.
I had read some pretty grim reviews so was a bit worried!
However, I was more than happy with it. Yes, it was far from luxurious and the decor is drab and outdated, but it was clean and comfortable. I had bunk beds in the room and my bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nothing fancy but the shower was great and there was plenty of toilet paper and clean towels.
Having read some review about the noise levels I was worried that I would be kept awake but I found the hotel to be very quiet. Yes, I could hear people above me moving around but it wasn't loud.
The reception staff were hit and miss with a couple of people who showed a distinct lack of interest in the guests. I was checked in by a very pleasant young woman who was very helpful.
In terms of location, The Trianon is situated a stone's throw from some.of the major museums such as The Van Gogh, The Moco and The Rijks museums.
It's a lovely walk into town or you can catch a tram (the 2 or the 12) a couple of minutes walk from the hotel on the main road. The tram takes you up to Dam Square, with the last stop being Central Station.
So, all in all, I was pleased with my choice because I didn't spend much time in my room anyway.
If you want to stay somewhere cheap & cheerful, then I would recommend the Trianon. Just don't expect any luxury!

It is a basic place, it has the necessary to sleep and leave the staff, nothing else. It is close to bus stop from airport, and it is super close to all main museums, supermarket and restaurants, so location is super good. The main photos hat is like nice chairs and tables are not belong to the property, but it is a Chinese restaurant next to the property, same owners, so it is not accurate.

In addition, we have been kicked out from the property after our check-out. The reception is very small and we stay there for a while to work before going to the airport, and the receptionist ask us to leave since we already did the check out.

So the place is good for sleep and location but nothing else.

Great location - in the heart of Amsterdam, for affordable money.
Our room was tiny, like the hotel itself, but cozy. It was no problem to print booking reservation, drink coffie in the morning in a lobby (be ready to pay for that); supermarket is situated 2 min.of walk. For short stay it's a perfect variant, on my mind.

If you're thinking of staying here think again. They have misleading information on their website. There is no laundry facility, no climate controlled rooms, and no complimentary breakfast. The rooms are small and there was an awkward offset extra bed in our room for some reason (I traveled with my partner and requested a standard one bed room). There were only two duvets and no real sheets. The stairs were very narrow and steep and reeked of cigarette smoke even though they're a no smoking facility. The pictures given (like the one of the \"lobby\") isn't even the hotel...The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they're in a good location but there's a hotel right across the street I would look into.

Me And my friends stay in the hotel for the weekend. The reception was opened 24 hours therefore we didn’t had to worry about rushing there from the airport as soon as our plane landed and the gentleman serving us was really nice and efficient. Hotels room are pretty small however, they clean and the location as close to the museums as well as there’s a tram stop less than 2 mins away from the hotel which made it easy to travel around. Would definitely recommend for the price we’ve paid and the location.

By being there my stay was fine but some event happen. The room was not working and when it was opened the employee stayed a bit without letting me directly controlled what i have putted in. By controlling I have lose 50€ out of the 500€ I have putted in. When my check out time arrived he talked to me rudely. \"GO AWAY\" it's not a way to talk to a customer.

No breakfast service at the moment due to corona ??? Every restaurant in the NL is open. OK, whatever. The main tract of the building smells like food and is way too hot. The problem was the heating pipes. They were very hot but the heater itself wasn't even on. There was a TV in a corner, but no remote anywhere. The room itself was not clean (carpet, bathroom sink). This is a nice hotel. It seemed to be getting a renovation and has a hostel feel to it. The rooms are basic. However the dining room seems to be part of the chinese restaurant next door. There was pictures of a bar at the hotel but that also seemed to be part of the chinese restaurant next door. There is noise from the pipes (which could be water from showers etc from the floor above). There isnt a lot of storage, just a little shelf with hangers for a coat etc. We did have a problem in our original room with ants , which when we mentioned it, we were moved to another room straight away. We ended up in a room with a double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds, which was easy to store clothes etc, however the room was cold at night.

Pues nonera nada a lo que nos habian ofrecido algo engañosa la publicidad el ligar es caro para lo que ofrece, la habitacion y las camas estaban llenas de chinches pasamos una mala noche y despues exigimos que nos cambiaran de habitación, la verdad es que nos perjudico el resto del viaje. I never normally write review or give feedback but on this occasion I feel I have a duty of care to warn Expedia about listing the Trianon Hotel on your web site before someone falls seriously ill. Below is the review I am going to add as feedback regarding this hotel on your web site.

\"I never write reviews but for this place I must warn people that this is quite possibly the worst hotel we have ever been to. Expedia shouldn’t have this place listed on their website. I wouldn’t put my dog in there. We had to leave early and fly home at great expense buying extra flights to get away from this place. We are now covered in bites from bed bugs. The room was too hot. There was mice droppings in the toilet. There were bed bugs. The shower was broken and the ceiling in the bathroom was stained with something. Somebody had bunched through one of the walls. There was building work being carried out to some of the rooms and the builders were smoking and there was plaster dust was all over the place. The lady on reception (Anna?) was rude to the extreme that we couldn’t believe what we were hearing. The hotel is also linked to a Chinese restaurant. All we can say to people is just don’t go to this run down over priced backpackers. It’s not a hotel!!
Expedia do yourself a big favour and take this place off of your web site quick smart.

Room had a balcony which was nice.
I requested that my sheets were changed as it was a very hot sweaty night & was told compa y policy is after 2 nights & they would not let ne have a new sheet... had to air the other one out all day while we were out.
Also problems with the pipes i think, there was a very strong unpleasant smell throughout the 2nd floor for part of both days we were there.

Nicely placed near the museums, an excellent area to explore from. However despite clearly redecorated, the quality of the finishing is pretty poor; mildew on bathroom ceiling with no working ceiling fan, bad paint work, odd pieces of furniture, stained carpets. On the plus side i found an M&M under the bed.

I have never stayed in such a terrible and broken down hotel in my traveling of 110 contries. Tv was hanging from the wall and you had to climb onto the top bunk to see it. . No place to put a suit case or anything else that as a traveler one needs. No place to read a book or travel piece. To say the least it was a terrible hotel and for $250 . a night it makes me ill to thing i had to stay in that hole. Also on leaving they did not want to call the taxi I had previous booked. Expedia should discontinue it from their site as a possible hotel in Amsterdam.

This was the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip. We were charged 30 euros for city tax, the staff was more or less helpful, there was an unpleasant smell in the hallway and, WORST OF ALL, we were attacked by BED BUGS in our room. Both of us numerous bites on our arms and legs. We would discourage anyone from booking this hotel.

I know the hotel Trianon advertises “simple rooms” but our bleak, grey/green semi tiled cell was reached via narrow, slightly odious corridors after cramming into a tiny lift with no inner door. The graffiti passing on the lift shaft walls should have been warning enough but we were still unprepared for a 4.5 x 2.1 mt room. There was a (barely) double bed, a narrow wardrobe, or rather box since there was no door, two cabinets; one a bedside box and the other a bed end. One of us needed to retire first or climb over the other. A sink and a mirror graced the room with a couple of plug points, a shaving socket and hairdryer. The switches on opposite walls for two wall lights were easily reachable from the bed! Bedside water needed to be kept on the grubby windowsill behind by the sleeper nearest the wall. That wall, by the way, was deeply scratched and marked. The woodchip type paper had not seen a coat of paint for some time.
The bedding consisted of two pillows only and two duvets both much narrower than the bed! Totally bizarre. Please, someone, explain! The towels were small and extremely well used.
On the wall near the ceiling a 21” TV hung at an angle that made the picture dark and distorted the colour. We only know this because we persuaded reception to find us a remote control. When we asked if we could have a gluten free breakfast the receptionist suggested we go to breakfast in the morning and find out. Much more to say but no space....

the hotel is in a really nice area, near all the big museums. it is very easily accessible from central station by trams. the tram ride is about 15 minutes and trams run every 10 mins. the trams stop running around 12.30AM and even then it's only a 30 min brisk walk from Dam sq. back to the hotel. there is also a big supermarket across the road which is nice if you want to eat cheaply.

while the location is nice the hotel itself is not so much. the room was not the best. there were black marks on the towels and on the bed linen. they were clean but old and worn and need to be replaced. I felt the bathroom could have been cleaner too, but nothing major out of sort. It was nice to have a safe in the room. but it is very basic. tv was positioned in a way that made it virtually unwatchable (I was staying alone in a twin room with bunk beds). The walls are paper thin as well. you can hear a lot through the walls so if you're a light sleeper it probably will affect your rest.

over all it's not bad of you get it at the right price. its no frills but a nice location if you can overlook some sub-par cleanliness it'll do for somewhere to throw your things while your off in the city till you need to sleep.

I feel the hotel has been reviewed badly but do not be put off by this! I was apprehensive at first after reading the reviews after I booked and the majority of them were not good at all.
However our stay was pleasant, brilliant location for the price, couldn't fault the cleanliness of the place, hot drink machine in reception and vending machine so all basics are covered if you don't have bed and breakfast and also a supermarket within a 2 minute walk literally across the road. We were given fresh towels every day of our stay and asked if everything was ok. Don't get me wrong the rooms are slightly dated but for the price your paying it's definitely not a problem. If your looking to explore Amsterdam and just need a hotel as a base at the end of the day then this is definitely sufficient. There's a shuttle from the Airport that's 10 euros each return and it stops right by the hotel and then the tram stop is literally 2 mins walk away that comes every few mins and takes you to the centre, we walked in to the centre most days as there is a nice park on the way and it only takes about 20 mins. Would definitely stay here again and suggest you do not be put off by other reviews.

Good location rifht next to a tram stop and the museums and Christmas markets, dirty outdated room with very steep stairs and no safety on the windows. Bedding appeared clean to the eye but the rest of the room seemed dirty.

Nice family hotel enjoyed my stay room was tidy and close to city centre and transport links into the city enjoyed my stay wil defo recommend next time I'm in Amsterdam and thanks u again for the hospitality

Embarrassing.

My bedsheets had bloodstains, my pillow sheet was yellowish. The didn’t change anything for days.
No heating in the room, breakfast was expensive and horrible, I thought it was a joke.
I had to check out at 4 am to take a plane, so the day before I made it clear I needed to leave at that time; they answer that personnel is at the desk 24/7. I had to leave and nobody was there; I almost lost my plane.

These guys should close down, they don’t deserve to earn from this activity and people don’t deserve to be served as if they were pigs, considering it’s not cheap. I will NEVER AGAIN go there

Typical Amsterdam hotel of the area. Great location but insanely terrible conditions otherwise.

The sheets were yellowed. The bathroom was not very clean. Wifi was spotty and cut out for a few minutes every few hours or so. But you can't beat the price/location. I would stay there again.

Basic hotel within walking distance of attractions

The rooms were basic - beds were comfy and we were able to push them together, own bathroom, nice neighbourhood, working lift! Within walking distance from the museum's, red light district, coffeeshops, dam square, Centrum etc. Vondel park is along the road - worth a visit! The only downside to this hotel was the strange smell in the corridor outside our room, almost smelt like sewage but not as strong!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Bed bugs everywhere, not clean, horrible smells coming from hallways, kitchen and unfriendly staff.
