Everyone from the valets to the housekeepers were top notch—front desk and barkeep included. Professional, friendly, and helpful. Room was well laid out and comfy; just a couple minor maintenance things, and since it looked like it could be an adjoining room, there was a bit of sound leakage. Wish it had a microwave; there’s one in the lobby. Impressed there was a sort of library room. No pool, but a weight room and spa (my bad to not make a reservation soon enough to have a massage darn it!). My cat made all sorts of new friends—so happy to find a hotel of this caliber that not only allows felines, but welcomes them. A tad tricky to find the first time(but then again it was dark), but a breeze after that and easy access to downtown, museums, lakefront etc. Ate at “Branded” their causal bar and it was tasty, and not terribly expensive for a hotel restaurant. Valets/front desk gave excellent recommendations for local food. Very unique decor and ambience far away from cookie cutter. Will definitely be on the top of my list next time I visit Milwaukee.

I have stayed at the Iron Horse a number of times. Over the last 2-3 years I have noticed a decline in the service, cleanliness, and maintenance of the rooms. Not ready to give up on it yet, I love staying there. Hoping it can bounce back.

Wanted to charge me extra $75 to check in at 3:15 when the email the hotel sent me said check in time was 3:00. The front desk girl said “oh we just changed our policy!” I paid $340/nite for corner suite and the tv didn’t work, like at all!! Engineer came in said he couldn’t fix it, and we were offered no compensation of any kind. Very poorly operated hotel, no sign of a manger the entire 3 days we were there last weekend. The valet was a nightmare as well.

I immediately called the front desk and they said there was no other rooms to switch me to and all they could do is send someone up to spray the room. We were in a hurry to get to an event so I had to just say OK. We came back and they had never sprayed the room… got in bed in the mattress smelled worse than the room. Fortunately it was a double queen, and we could switch to the other bed, but it was one of the most disgusting rooms I’ve ever been in and they offered no solution and didn’t seem to care

Walking in the place has a real warm feel. The folks that greeted me at the front desk were genuine, warm, and very kind. You can tell they love their work place. Customer Service was amazing!!! I had my dog and they had so many wonderful amenities for her from bowls, treats, a name board, a plush squeaky toy, and best of all a pink bandana! Spoiled rotten as was I. The food was good. The room was very clean and decorated beautifully. I loved the two days I stayed there and highly recommend it!

The service was excellent. The people were great and very helpful. Food was also good and so was the cleanliness, but you could see that the hotel was starting to get a little rundown with burnt out bulbs bad paint jobs and a few other things. For a high-end hotel I would’ve expected the condition to be better than it was But otherwise overall nice stay.

The Iron Horse is a great hotel in the burgeoning Walker's Point neighborhood. It is in what was once an industrial area, and the hotel blends the industrial with the modern beautifully. We had a corner room, a Custom Deluxe King, which had plenty of room and was comfortable once we got the thermostat figured out. We had an event about 6 blocks away that we were planning on walking to. With the neighborhood described as \"industrial\", I was a bit hesitant to walk back at 10:00 pm, but the area has a lot of restaurants and businesses, and we felt very safe. If you have a car parking is an additional charge for valet services. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast, but the Greige Patisserie is a nearby and a great option.

This is a boutique industrial-style hotel close to the Harley Davidson museum. The beds were comfortable and the room and lobby fairly clean. However, we felt for the price, it was lacking touches which could make it a very upscale stay: A light was burned out in one of the overhead lights in our room and another light did not work at all. The staff was not rude, but not overly friendly. At breakfast in the Library (breakfast was not included with the stay), we had to ask for refills on coffee. The floors had crumbs and the dining tables had traces of previous meals. Dogs are allowed to stay and several times we could hear barking in the room next to us. Parking was not included in the stay, and not well explained on the website. We parked in the lot near the hotel for $27 per day.

The hotel is dark, dingy and dusty. The lighting is cool but gives off no light. The room was too dark to put on make up. Our room was very dusty. Curtains dusty and the air return vent filters look like they were never changed. Overall, what we could see, the hotel and rooms look and feel dingy. Chipped dishes at breakfast. The mattress and pillows seem to be as old as the building, very uncomfortable. Cool looking place, very friendly staff, and great location in Walker's Point. But, don't think we will stay there again unless we want to be in Walker's Point.

Everything during our stay was excellent except during our final night, we arrived back at hotel late at around 11:30. We left our car with the valet. The next morning wr awoke to find the parking attendant left our window open and rained inside the car. I had a wet butt on the way home. We arent mad and require nothing in return. The hotel was beautiful and clean. We will return.
