The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is good- close to the museums and still in walking distance to city centre. The rooms were clean, a little worn, but decently presented. The bathroom and shower were great quality and spec. I would use again.

This hotel is worthy one an a half stars, or two stars maximum. This is a total rip-off to claim that it has four stars. There is wall paper peeling off the walls; old, broken an scratched furniture; old and stained curtains; tiny TV with some wires sticking out.
Also, next to this hotel some kind of psychiatric facility, and apparently, patient of that facility walking our, yelling and acting in a hazardous manner.

No complaints with the room or staff. Clean, spacious room for 1 person and staff were very polite and helpful. However this hotel is extremely misleading. It's almost an outdoor hotel. As soon as you leave your room, you are outdoors. There is no roof on the building, so as soon as you leave your room and look up, you see the beautiful sky lol. The heating was also not working in my room so I was sleeping with tracksuit and a hoodie to stay warm. It could have been much worse, but could have also been a lot better so I give 3 star average. I advise the hotel to provide more accurate pictures and details of the hotel so people are aware of how this hotel is structured.

The hotel looks nice at first glance, but overall it’s not worth the money. It was hard to find, and once we arrived, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, the room had a musty smell, and it didn’t feel properly cleaned. For a place that claims to be 4 stars, it really doesn’t live up to that standard. It’s decent enough in appearance, but the lack of cleanliness makes it unenjoyable. Definitely overpriced for what you get. You’re better off spending your money on a proper 4-star hotel elsewhere.

This hotel should be max 2 stars. Mold everywhere, broken toilets. Red stains on curtains, black stains on walls, yellow stains in bathroom. Soundproof doesnt exist, u can hear what your neighbours are doing at 4AM. Awful, would contact my laywer ASAP.

Though the staff was very nice…. Our room was quite opposite. Immediately upon our arrival, the instructions to where the reception were was not provided and we had to have a stranger help us in the building. For our room, we could tell it was going to be very warm, so we asked for a fan. We were provided the smallest fan that, at its highest level, was a softer breeze than if I fanned some air with paper. Additionally, there was tons of mold around the back door and on the back curtain. We notified staff but everything was booked so we couldn’t move rooms. Finally, to top it off, on our final night we decided to watch some TV before dinner. The TV did not work so we had to have the receptionist come help us. He admitted the remote we were given was just the wrong remote but he couldn’t do anything about it. We had to use the buttons on the side, which also barely worked.

Amazing location where a short bike ride rental provided through the hotel can get you anywhere you need in the city in under 10 minutes. Everything was clean and working in my room. Staff were friendly and helpful to chat with as well.

Overall, the hotel was on appearance relatively nice, although the room was very small and basic, despite being advertised as \"wheelchair accessible\"

However, on the morning of checkout, we inspected the room to ensure we hadn’t overlooked any belongings. To our horror, upon pulling back the bed sheet, we discovered it was placed directly on a bare mattress with no protective cover. The mattress was covered in yellow stains—likely urine—along with dirt, grime, and multiple holes.

As someone with a serious disability, I rely on stringent hygiene standards to manage my health, and the utterly unacceptable state of our room compromised my well-being. I would not expect this from any hotel, let alone one that had cost upwards of £400 for three nights.

Sleeping on such an unsanitary surface for four nights was not only distressing but posed a severe risk to my health, exacerbating my disability-related vulnerabilities and causing significant physical and emotional distress.

I reported this to the reception manager, who seemed shocked but directed me to contact the head office, which I did three times.

I received no response to any of my emails, and when I complained to Expedia they attempted to contact the hotel as well, and similarly receive no response.

This shows the absolute disregard for the health and well-being, as well as disrespect, for their patrons, and as such I would not recommend this hotel for anybody.

The Amado was perfect for my stay. Check in was great. The gentleman allowed me to check in early which was a huge plus so that I could drop off my bags. He brought me to my room and explained how everything worked. The room was perfect and had all of the necessities including a coffee pot. Amado was a great find and was priced very reasonably. Definitely would recommend.

The location was good, the room was average (no smart TV) and although nicely decorated, some of the wallpaper was peeling off the walls ever so slightly. The shower controls were not quite working too, with the controls turning themselves from cold to hot. However the staff were very, very helpful and did give me good recommendations for food etc and the room was cleaned daily. It's in a nice spot a short walk from the Rijksmuseum and away from the very busy city centre which I appreciated.

I stayed here for one night as a solo traveler. Although the reception is on the first floor, there was ample signage to direct me there. The front desk was very helpful for check in and check out; the room was clean; and I appreciated the proximity to restaurants, tram lines, and popular destinations.

Expedia keeps asking me for a review, but.. I read reviews of this property on several other sites and decided not to stay because it seemed sus and looked rank.

Hotel kindly ignored the cancellation requests from customer service, but for my own peace of mind i really didnt want to take a chance on this place either way.

do not stay in room #213 - it smells like feces , do not stay in room #218 - the air conditioner was not working for 10 days, ask three times to fix - nothing was done, cannot keep window open at night as the tram noise starts at 5.30 am. Asked room to be cleaned after 7 days - cleaning lady did not change my sheets, did not clean the floor, just brought new towels. I would not recommend this hotel unless you re going for a concert at Concertgebouw.
The only nice thing about this place are people that work in reception.

My room was on the 4th floor, in a closed area at night behind the reception and Breakfast area . Locked with a key at night. No room should EVER EVER be in a locked area. If there were a fire and an emergency, finding my key to get out, my glasses, in smoke makes no sense. Extrem scenario, and i am not paranoid, but these things happen. Non-negotiable and needs to be adjusted. Also, no iron and board in the room. Upon leaving, usually one expects, a How was your stay, bla bla bla, Felt like a number. Well priced for Amsterdam. However for the reasons above I decided to post which i about never do

I had a great stay at Amadi Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel is conveniently located. Transportation a block away and a lot of restaurants in the area.
Many amenities in the room including sleepers.
The only thing that could be improved is the TV that’s kind of dated. Took ages to change from one channel to the next one. The rest all perfect!

The hotel is a bit further from city centre which is great, as not as noisy. Even following instructions we've managed to get lost trying to find it, but good when directed right. Staff is really lovely and friendly. The room itself was small but had all needed, clean too, welcome drinks, knowing Amsterdam prices it was worth it. Breakfast wasn't big but enough, lovely coffee. Overall would recommend but wouldn't expect this to be a 4 star, more like 3.

We recently requested to switch rooms because the bathroom light was not working. The next day, we were moved to another room since there were no available rooms that night. However, when we entered the new room, there was a foul smell in the bathroom, and upon closer inspection, we found mold in the vents. The smell was unbearable, so we asked to switch rooms again and were assigned another one. Unfortunately, the heater didn’t work, and it was 1 degree Celsius outside. We ultimately decided to book another hotel. Please take a look at the ratings on Google Maps as well.

3.5 star - A little bit out of the tourist area

A little bit out of the tourist area. Set in an apartment block so it’s not like a traditional hotel. Phone didn’t work in our room and weren’t provided any info on breakfast etc with that being said, breakfast isn’t worth the money.

However, the hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. It’s to a good standard.

If it was a little cheaper I’d give it a 5 star but with it being still pricey, it’s a 3.5 star.

Staff friendly enough though.

The hotel was overall average, nothing wrong with that especially if you’re just touring the city. We found the room to be very small, the bed was average but the shower was great. One real negative was the sound in the other hotel rooms/guests arriving and leaving into their rooms, you could hear it all. Just something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. The TV’s are dated and the furniture in the room was broken (shelves fallen through etc). The bathroom was nice though and the shower was great, as well as this the free minibar was also a good USP.

This was is a great base for exploring the sites in Amsterdam. Close to transport links. Staff were very friendly. The only minor points are the hotel is not clearly signposted and is located in a multi use building. Also room was cold at times to air flowing through air conditioning vent. Also room decor needs slight improvement.

Hotel was easily reached from Airport by Tram. About a 5 minute walk from 2 tram lines. Reception area is on the 4th floor, serviced by 2 lifts. Breakfast is served here but we did not have it. Room was nice but very small, typical european hotel room. Bathroom was good and clean. Trams are very close, but not so close you hear them! Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area, and a large supermarket within 5 mins walk.

I have no idea how this is rated 8.4, other than the area. There are no amenities at all. the ‘air/temp’ did not work in the room, it was so hot; and the tv was broken. these things were addressed on my 2nd day there and the staff said he would ‘talk to his manager when he came in at noon’…. Nothing. The hairdryer had some major dust on the cord; almost looked like black mold? The towels were worn. Shower gel and shampoo dispensers were broken and the quality of each was very poor.
The area was wonderful, top points for that!!

Also *do not buy the breakfast option through Expedia!!!!* they charged 22€/day online but the hotel only charges 14€. To be honest it’s not worth 14€, it’s granola, yogurt, bread and cheese/meats. You can easily get a full hot breakfast for way less than that in the surrounding streets.

Overall an unpleasant and extremely disappointing stay, after paying extra for a ‘better’ room. Way over-priced, having stayed in a much nicer hotel a block away for less money on the same trip. Would not stay again.

Large number of issues from start to end included…
- Difficult to find hotel entrance and locate reception once in the building (reception is on 4th floor and not signposted well).
- Room was badly maintained - there was mould and staining on the ceiling above the bed, lots of dust everywhere, bathroom windows were smeared, bathroom sink was chipped, net curtains were dirty and the coffee cups were cracked.
- TV and coffee machine did not work, aircon was unreliable.
- Bedroom and bathroom were extremely dark and very badly lit, it felt oppressive. Darkened mirrors did not help. Door to Juliet balcony didn’t not open fully due to room layout.
- Complicated entry and exit system relying on multiple lifts or stairwells to get around or exit the property, entry fobs required to use main entrances as well as needing room key.
- After checking out and returning later to collect my luggage I waited more than 10 minutes with no-one appearing at reception. I took my luggage and left as it not in held on a locked room, meaning anyone could walk in and take your possessions unchecked.

We enjoyed our stay at Amadi Park Hotel. The staff were very helpful and suggested a great Indonesian restaurant (Kartika) around the corner for dinner on our first night which was great. Location is good, walking distance from city centre, close to museum district and the Vondelpark. The room was clean except mould on the bathroom ceiling. The climate control was faulty so would not adjust and would switch itself off if ever adjusted. I reported this but it wasn't fixed. The room was long and thin, with not much natural light due to the configuration but comfy bed and reasonable value for our 2 night stay.

THIS IS NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO A LUXURY PROPERTY! The hotel description and pictures provided are incredibly misleading. This place looks like a run-down apartment complex in person. Although not mentioned in the Expedia description, this hotel shares a building with 2 other hotels and other businesses. I questioned the manager on duty about the cigarette butts all over, broken down dusty furniture in the common area, and overall uncleanliness and unattractiveness and he explained that he has no control over what the other hotels / businesses are doing. Amadi's ice machine was broken so he sent me down to another hotel's front desk where I was told they shut off their machine at 10pm when the bar closes. Our hallway smelled of booze and urine and the rooms are tiny! Every time I walked over to my side of the bed I bumped into the lamp because there is no room to walk! I am disappointed both with Expedia and the hotel, as there was no due diligence in making sure this hotel is accurately advertised. This is a 2 star establishment at best! I am still working with Expedia on a refund because I feel seriously deceived. If I was able to upload pictures I would.

Im going to assume the 4 stars for this property was just made up. In general, this “hotel” was fine. But I’d describe it as something in between a hotel and a private room at a hostel.

First room they put me in had a broken AC. The only airflow was through a 12inch door that opened up to a walkway that was accessible by anyone that had access to the building. They eventually moved me to a room with working AC after 2 nights, but not before having me try a “cooler” that turned out to be a heater.
Second room did have AC but smelled like straight sewage. But with record high temps in Amsterdam, I chose the AC.
Good location, but I would stay pretty much anywhere else.

I would like to start with the good part. The staff at front desk is nice and helpful. The checkin was easy. The hotel is located in a nice residential area walking distance from the city center. We had two rooms, the main problem with the hotel is that the rooms are dirty. The room the bathroom evening need major cleaning. The lights are so dim that you can bearly see anything in the room.

Excellent location on transit but not in the core. The room was ok, but unbearably hot (fan did not help and thermostat seemed to do nothing). Opening windows meant getting attacked by either noise or mosquitoes from the canal at night. The building is undergoing renovation, which is fine, but the smell of old pot in the carpet outside our room was disgusting. Staff super nice and helpful. Great local restaurants and cafes.

We had a wonderful stay. The building was very modern and clean, though there was some ground floor construction. The check-in was seamless and they upgraded us to a lovely corner room. And though it faced the street, it was very quiet. The room was small per American standards but very clean and had all the little things needed to feel at home. Public transportation was very close by and so were many shops, bars and restaurants. Would stay here again!

Overall, a good place to stay. Walkable to a lot of areas. Staff was courteous and helpful. Cons - our room was in an area with a lot of street noise and people noise at all hours. Phone cord had to be jiggled to hear and the bathroom fan didn’t work so it was extremely humid/wet after three people took showers.

It was a very awkward room, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work. It smelled like sewer. The blinds were not hung properly and so could not be blacked out. It was quite loud.

The hotel staff were amazing. Very helpful and resourceful.
The property is shared with multiple businesses so it can be hard to navigate as an international solo traveler but I was very appreciative of the front desk for being so accommodating.

Beware: The hotel is shared with an apartment complex and check-in is on the 4th floor only. open from 8am-11pm. If you are with another party. be aware there are 2 separate elevators because the building is a rectangle and the center is a courtyard.
1st issue, is there's no safety, the door to our section of the rooms is never locked. 2. The smell in our hallway was atrocious. 3. On our last night, the POWER BLEW OUT in our room/apartment and of course, it was past 11pm and no one picked up from the emergency#. There was no HVAC to boot, unacceptable for me and my kids. The next morning when they attempted to fix they tried multiple fuse boxes and finally realized the box was in a locked closet in our room. The \"hotel\" made zero concessions to reimburse us for a horrible night of stay claiming this outage affected an entire area, that is not true, only affected our room as the fuse box was in our room and only controlled our room. I would not recommend this location

There are good connections to the trams and the museum area is within walking distance.

Giant room and great staff.

The place was interesting. It's in like an office building on the western edge of the historic downtown. It shares the space with another hotel, so it was ... unusual. It is not in the historic downtown. If you want to walk to Dam Square, it will take 30 minutes. Same for the train station. But it was very close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum (10 minutes each) and there is some good dining near there.

We would recommend it though. The room was very nice and HUGE. We stayed in a triple and it was the largest room I've seen in Amsterdam. The staff was exceptional and the service was very good. It was a good experience, but it is not a middle of the canals, historic Amsterdam experience, so just be advised.

Friendly and helpful staff, room amazing and little extras as they’d put balloons and drinks in our room as I’d mentioned my husband’s birthday. Totally accessible as my husband uses mobility scooter. Room easy to get to, beautifully decorated and warm. Perfect stay with perfect staff

A dated hotel with a few issues

The hotel appears to be basically a series of flats within a block of flats. The reception is on the forth floor and its not easy to get in. The room is dark with poor lighting. The bed is fashion over function due to the bed frame sticking out and into your bum and leg when you get in and out. The mattress is comfortable but did not have a mattress protector and was very old and stained. The coffee machine leaks water when left full. The shower room is dated with corroded fittings and a toilet that is too high off of the floor. The people working there are very friendly and polite. The hotel positioning is pretty good.

Lovely hotel, a bit out of town.

Hotel is lovely and clean, staf are so polite and helpful. It is a bit of a treck out of town, there are a few restaurants close by (teds does amazing breakfast!) but to get into town it’s a 10min tram ride or a €30 taxi (some tried charging more than this at night so be careful, better to download the bolt app). The closest coffee shop I believe is 10/15min walk away.
