Service at this hotel was excellent! Staff were pleasant and helpful and everything was taken care of - from the robe and slippers to the flat rate airport transportation. Location was excellent - reasonable walk to the city centre but far enough away to be quiet. For those looking for cooking facilities, the kitchen was well equipped. Loved this hotel!

The July was a home from home. Beautifully situated in the dock area of Houthaven, this contemporary hotel had a really traditional feel. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and give you the feeling that you’re not just a hotel guest in Amsterdam, you’re a resident. Hard to leave.

We stayed at the studio apt, it was great. Room size was good and all the amenities inside the room are great. We have a good water view location. One to note that the AC is not really AC, and they said it is a fresh air cooler. Thankfully, when we were there the weather was still a bit cold, so it was not an issue for us.
The location is outside the city centre and is actually perfect for us for 1) the buses are convenient from the hotel (approx. 7 mins walk) 2) the location is quiet and in the great neighbourhood area, hence you don’t feel so much like you are a tourist. So, we like it!
The staff are young, courteous and helpful.
We tried the breakfast and it was ok, however we prefer to get it outside for the price.
One thing was a bit of a letdown was the hot water issues (2 times during our 4 nights stay). The location is outside the city centre and is actually perfect for us for 1) the buses are convenient from the hotel (approx. 7 mins walk) 2) the location is quiet and in the great neighbourhood area, hence you don’t feel so much like you are a tourist. So, we like it!

Our flight was cancelled rebooked and then delayed. We didn’t arrive until after midnight. It was great they had 24/7 personnel on duty to check in. The lobby and restaurant area looked wonderful but we didn’t get to make use of it.

When you are traveling Europe for a longer period of time, you really appreciate a property like this. They have all the amenities like gym, free bikes, and laundry. The room design is perfection and the staff was eager to help us make the stay enjoyable. Away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city, we could access Central Station with the free ferry and our free bikes. Well done July!

Loved our stay! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel uses WhatsApp which you can ask questions anytime. We used it to book the gym which is really well equipped too. Hotel is in a more neighbourhood area which we liked and super easy to get into town centre on tram or a 40 min walk. Would 100% recommend.

We had a delightful stay at The July in Amsterdam. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is lovely and catered well to travelling with a toddler providing a cot and high chair with no trouble (though the table in our room was too high to use the high chair with!). Overall a very enjoyable experience and would stay there again.

This hotel was a real gem. I looked at many in the area and at this price point, but what really struck me before I got there was its location. Quiet, clean and on the water. The hotel has so many small things working for it, starting from an excellent restaurant downstairs that serves incredible breakfast at a reasonable price, there are free bike rentals from the hotel, and the rooms are beautiful, modern clean, and with great views of the water. I highly recommend the July and if and when I return to Amsterdam, it will be the place I stay at.

We enjoyed watching all of the boats going by and locals swimming and participating in water sports. The lobby area was warm and inviting and always had people socializing. One evening we decided to make something in our kitchen but couldn’t figure out how to use the oven. I went to the lobby to ask the staff how to use it and they came to our room to show us. I appreciated him going out of his way to help us. Awesome customer service! I would highly recommend staying here!!

Beautiful property, looks brand new. We booed a 2 bedroom / 2 bath for 4 people and it was like a mini apartment. Kitchen was big enough to accommodate meals if we wanted and the bathrooms and bedrooms were nicely sized. It is in a more suburban feeling area but super close to a bus stop to get you to the central station or anywhere you need to go. I would stay here again if visiting Amsterdam

First ever visit, and I would absolutely recommend this accommodation. We had a King studio room which was well appointed with sofa and armchair, small kitchen and breakfast bar (with proper wine glasses!), and an excellent bathroom with powerful shower. It was super clean, everything worked, and had a great view of the water and its comings and goings. Staff were lovely. We were able to mix and match paying to eat breakfast in the restaurant, or doing our own in the room. It was a short walk to a frequent bus service into the city centre - 20/25 mins from leaving the hotel to arriving at central station. We walked in on the first day to get our bearings. We didn't take advantage of the free bicycle service, but if you are confident enough, everything is so well connected. This has to be better value and quality than many of the city centre hotels, and so quick to get in and out, using a cheap travel pass. Will stay again on our next visit to Amsterdam.

2nd time visiting Amsterdam. Room was clean, stocked really well and it was next to the water! We loved seeing it at night. Very easy 6 min walk to get you to the bus to take you to Amsterdam Central and there you can connect to anywhere in and out of the city. AC was great! Shower had great water pressure and hot water. There was a restaurant onsite for convenience and a lovely terrace off the restaurant you could use if you wanted to dine alfresco or just have a picnic. Bed could have been more comfortable as you can feel the wear on it (it was harder and almost lumpier in the middle). But overall the for the price, location (very quiet) and ease of access to everything around you, I would definitely recommend The July Boat & Co in Amsterdam!

Great Area to explore Amsterdam from. It was nice to NOT be in city center, but near tons of stuff. About a 30min walk to the mid west of the canal rings. 10 min bus ride to Amsterdam central train ( take the 48 not the 22, faster) bus is a 5 min walk from hotel and there are blocks of stores & eateries there.
Depending when you go, you will pay way less for an apt type room then a tiny one on the canals.
