The staff are simply the best - friendly and cheerful - while also being helpful and courteous. The common space is large and well-designed, with many small pockets of activities to engage in. It has a great balance of little cozy nooks to relax in, lounges for small groups, spaces for families with kids as well as large groups, and little workspaces for those on business. There's also a turf-covered atrium for a little cardio or yoga. Its location - walkable from Amsterdam Central Station - makes it ideal for not just trips around the city, but also for short trips around the city, or for a transit in Amsterdam on your way to the rest of Europe.

I would like to know what are you basing the price on. Extremely expensive for a place that has ZERO to offer.
The food was terrible, it only had 2 toilets for several people and one of the toilets was broken.

We reserved our paid room over a month! We show up and ask us to come back later for check-in. We come back later in the evening and they tell us they have no rooms available and are very sorry! Employee tried to find us accommodations, but was unsuccessful in doing so! Horrible customer service and only got “sorry”

Location in Noord is great. Condition of the building, going down hill quick.

Whole building was super hot on check-in with no option to cool the room or open a window.

Not that it applies to me but the womens only section security doors were not fucntional so no real seperated area. We still walked through it to our room.

The biggest kicker is that there was no hot water and barely any cold water the morning after a 12am checkin and before an appointment. No maintenance staff on a sunday meant no real chance of getting it fixed.

Staff was responsive and calm and we did get a refund from hotels.com and all city taxes refunded from the hostel when we decided not to stay a second night and to find another spot.
I had to fight for it a bit though.

Will not be back or recommend it. Hotel next store though was 👌

Pro: Relatively comfortable for bunk bed, bathroom was generally clean but it also would depend on the people using it.
Very easy to get to central area and walkable if you like walking (except for ferry)
Cons: no fridge, microwave, no way to buy/store own food (this was not clear on the website). This is important for me and those with dietary restrictions or those looking to save in an expensive city like Amsterdam. Also charges €5 for towel which I think is quite expensive.

The location was very good, just outside of the main city center. Its right next to the tall outlook, right next to the (free, 5 min long) ferry to downtown.

I arrived early and had a question about the lockers. The person at the desk was very rude and seemed annoyed that I was even speaking to them. I asked a question about the lockers and their answer was \"there's a screen\". Not only did it not answer my question, it was very off putting and set the tone for my stay.

The place seemed very safe and theres a grocery store around the same block, making it easy to go out and grab a snack.

I stayed in a single room with an attached bathroom. It was very clean, the bed wasnt terrible, but I didnt find it difficult to adjust the air. After my check in experience, I didnt want to have to speak with them again, so I dealt with it.

Checkout was very easy and the person at the desk was very pleasant this time. All you had to do was drop your room card in and leave!

ClinkNOORD Hostel is absolutely beautiful. I stayed in a 4 bed female room with an ensuite. The beds were comfortable, we each had our own locker to keep our belongings safe (note bring your own lock). The best thing about the bathroom was the toilet and sink were in one room and the shower and sink in another. This was a brilliant idea. I rated the staff with 4 stars because of one person who I met on my arrival, I had taken an overnight flight from Canada. Arrived there at 12:44 pm wet from the short walk in the rain from Amsterdam Centraal and the female clerk told me that I can’t check in until 3 pm because I didn’t pay for an early check-in. She did not welcome me or say that I could wait in any of the common areas. At that time, I didn’t know that I could have waited in the common area. I didn’t feel welcome and did ask if there was a place I could put my suitcase. She gave me no eye contact and abruptly said I could put it in a locker out by the door. So I paid €4 to store my bags. Went back out into the rain feeling exhausted as I had a long flight and went into a venue close by called “This is Holland.” The staff there welcomed me and even though I didn’t buy a ticket to there interesting Holland experience told me that I was welcome to come in to dry off. I stayed there for 3 hours until 3 pm and then was checked in by a kind and welcoming male staff. Every one of the staff for my 3 nights were lovely. The facilities are fantastic. I will return!

Pros: really cool, modern facility with many rooms to hang out in, including a bar/game area, open-space lobby which has sitting space, a café & a pool table, an additional open-space game room for people to chill in, and many bathrooms & shower rooms throughout the hostel — bike rentals — near convenience stores, restaurants & public transportation — lively — hosts games & various activities

Cons: the cleanliness of the rooms & facilities are sub-par; I've seen mold in numerous showers near the ceiling due to little ventilation, no toilet paper refills, they don't provide you with much amenities — people are, and will be noisy past \"curfew\" due to the nature of a \"party hostel\" — no microwaves, usable kitchens or fridges which isn't great if you're trying not to spend an obscene amount of euros for food — the staff is nice, but sometimes during interactions I felt like I was bothering them with simple requests.

Overall an average hostel, I enjoyed my time there and it's in a splendid location! However, I do believe there should be greater emphasis on helping solo travellers mingle and maybe not have children stay at the hostel if you're advertising yourselves as a \"party hostel\".

The North (Noord) side of Amsterdam is worth exploring. But you are also a 2 min walk from the free ferry that will bring you to Amsterdam Centraal and directly down town. Lively hostel.
The rooms are VERY basic (hostel of course) and the bed was painfully uncomfortable.

We had an amazing stay here. Our room was comfortable and clean. The food was good and well priced. Everything was super easy to get to. There is so much to do here and we loved our time at ClinkNoord - It was a great place to call home for three nights and we will be back. Thank you.

One of the best hostals I’ve stayed in. Please check the drainage for the shower in room 152. The water kept running out of the shower, we had to keep placing towels on the floor. Other than that the place is wonderful and location is ideal.

It is a different Hostal concept and was my first time. The experience of sharing a room with 3 other people was better than expected. This is more for young people that ainam not. The location is across the Central Amsterdam in a short ferry trip from that station, almost all the tourist attraction are super close to it, the hostal amenities are awesome and I will recommend any one to do a bike riding around Down town area , there is a place called Bike is ready that have the best prices. Bring your own towel because the one the Hostal offer for a fee of €5 but are too small or go to Primark near by and buy a big one for about the same.

Absolutely loved clink, its a great place for tsolo travelers and familys alike. The place is bright and airy has great facilities from bathrooms, private rooms. Storage lockers, restaurant, coffee there is a shop round the corner. The Adam tower is right next to clink. They have plenty to do in the hostel too. Highly highly recommend

Huge hostel with plenty of rooms and plenty of activities. The toilet/shower facilities are kept in pristine condition. Yes it is in Amsterdam Noord (other side of the river), so you'll have to take the ferry, but it's free and it runs very frequently and late at night too (up to 2AM when I was there).

I had a room switch not once, but twice: three rooms in a two night stay (this was due to a messy hostel mate, a broken lock on the door situation). But despite that the staff was really nice and handled the situations great! The facility itself is simple, clean and maintained great. Location is across the river from the main hub but the ferry runs non stop all night and it’s free. Pretty good for the price paid!

Great hostel. Shared amenities were fantastic, lots of activities on offer and great breakfast. The rooms were pretty good, it did get rather hot and the windows do not open, but there were some fans provided. Had some issue with noisey dorm mates - but that’s not something the hostel has control over. Fantastic location, very easy to get into the city with a quick ferry that goes about every 5 minutes. 100% recommend and would stay again

Generally good.Even though I booked 4 mixed dorms, it was so difficult to take a shower when the one person wanted to turn off the light. There were no curtains, so all the noise and light affected everyone. It was not a comfortable place. By the way, the location was good. Locker is a bit expensive.

I really loved this accommodation but I can’t give it a full 5 stars because our room specifically didn’t meet the highest quality which was disappointing.

The room was dusty and I didn’t feel comfortable moving around. No towels or toiletries provided even though it was stated they were for private rooms. I had to ask for them at reception but I was even given a dirty towel so I had to go ask again for another one. I told the receptionist about my concerns and they said that housekeeping will just refill the toiletries/towels but no housekeeping checked our room at all until the very end of our stay.

I really liked everything else about this accommodation and I just wished my concerns were solved during my stay. I’d love to go back here when I’m in Amsterdam again but I am hoping your rooms are presented to the highest standard next time.

I really loved this hostel. The interior design and decor was great and I took some photos of it. Everyone I shared a room with was cool and there were security features in place to keep items protected while out and about in the city. The hostel has multiple seating areas to bring a laptop to do work, and a variety of seating options and style for different comfort levels. There are always activities going on and even the restaurant/bar in the hostel had a great variety of choices, including a handful of vegan options - two of which I tried. There is a convenience store behind the hostel for snacks and quick meals, and the ferry stop is a few minute walk from the hostel. I would totally stay here again.

Stayed two nights on a family trip around Northern Europe. VERY basic accommodation in a convenient location with a very frequent and free ferry to downtown. Room was clean but lacking any particular comfort apart from beds. Very few places to put things down and no hooks in the bathroom. Small window didn’t open and had privacy frosting on it, which made the room even less comfortable. Felt a lot like a hospital. Given the cost of accommodation in Amsterdam, this was a good option to have, but not a place where we wanted to spend any time.

Convenient hostel in amsterdam, could take a 5min free ferry from central station. They have good hotel amenities like washing machine, bar, luggage locker. Staff were very helpful!

We booked a room with private toilet, but the bath area is not well shielded (only a small glass) so the toilet floor gets wet easily. Cleaning was so so (dirt on pillow).

Most expensive hostel I’ve stayed at in Europe and my least favorite. Walls are paper thin and the breakfast is a rack! Don’t buy it. I asked for a refund and was never given an answer. Would’ve preferred being told no than not even being told anything. The washers and dryers are super expensive and not that great. I do not recommend. They nickel and dime you to death.

It's a kool hostel with up-to-date facilities and a large split level communal area that has a lot of activities.

The room and bathroom was nice and clean. Bike rental was easy. Crossing the river with the boat was convenient as there's one available every 5 mins.

Staff were pleasant and onto it. Only thing missing was retail stores / dining around the building.

It's a hostel, every evening the local students come by for entertainment and socializing. The only thing I didn't like was the design of the shower. It's not enclosed enough, so half of the floor is wet after showering. Other than that, Clink Noord is convenient and a nice place to stay.

It was a very average stay ! Clean enough, decent enough amenities. The breakfast staff were far friendlier than the front desk staff . I was on the third floor, in an all female dorm, and it was very quiet .
The place seemed a bit older than I originally thought , but it was mostly ok . Pillow very flat . Bed not super comfy. Check in at four, but my room wasn’t ready until almost 5.
Don’t buy the breakfast buffet, not worth it.
Super close to the ferry which brings you to centraal.
Felt safe walking alone at night.
