Well located near the Central Station. The front desk staff were very welcoming.
The room was clean but very small. It was in the basement - as others have said, there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor but not in the room.
The bed was reasonably comfortable but the creakiest bed I have ever slept in. The lighting was unusual - no main light, just uplighters and downlighters in the wall, which meant that the room was very dark.
The shower pressure was decent.

Worst customer service ever

Do not stay here! We missed our train from Paris delaying our arrival. We called and confirmed we would be arriving the next day. Upon arrival we were told by a very rude night clerk that he was aware of a cancellation charge on our record but acted indifferent when we tried to explain what had transpired. He had us step aside to assist three other parties that had arrived after us. After 42 minutes, at near midnight now we walked out to search for accommodations for the next three nights. This clerk let over a thousand dollars walk right out the door, really pissed off.DO NOT stay here.

Staff were excellent - from check in, to answering questions to the breakfast team. There isn’t an iron in the room but you can borrow from the front desk. Also if you have your do not disturb on, the housekeeping leaves you fresh towels in a bag at your door - so kind!
I wish there were more outlets near the bed but that’s a minor inconvenience. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows.

Great location!

Nice enough room besides very cramped including a very small bathroom with no shower door or curtain so if you are not careful, things could get very wet! However, the room was extremely quiet (ask for one that your window opens to the inner courtyard at the back of the hotel), the bed super comfortable and the location perfect for walking around Amsterdam after a long overnight flight. However, don't think it was worth the price for what you would otherwise get back home but then again this is Amsterdam and is likely comparable to other large European cities.

The room was Very Small. The lighting in the room was very poor. The check in staff were rude , unhelpful , aggresive and dismissal. The water pressure in the room was very poor (it took 3 minutes to fill a tinky sink. The room above had a new floor being put in , so one morning from 11:00 a.m , really loud drilling woke me up from my sleep and startled me.
When i complained to the reception desk they were unhelpful , unkind and rude.

The hotel is directly where you need to be and the furthest walk was about 20 mins everything within a good distance.

Room was very small. But I knew that when booking, what I didn’t expect was the bathroom, I had never seen one so small. The sink actually hung slightly over the toilet. Also bathroom needed updating/deep cleaning. Fixtures had a lot of mineral buildup and the tiles looked dirty. Bed and linens were nice, and the view was lovely from room 111. City noise expected as well, but was less than k thought. Did not interrupt my rest. The foto was a sunrise view from our room. Check in was smooth since I did it online before arriving, only handed me keys and I paid an additional amount for city tax for the room.

Rooms had everything needed for a stay and although it was basic was comfortable. Some of our party had rooms at the front of the hotel which were noisy at night as on main road.

The relatively short walk from the railway station was a bit complicated with lots of construction on the way to the hotel which had a small sign leading into a small reception area.
The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions.

Their AC did not work and had to go back to fix ( which was interesting, because I arrived early and they stated the room was not ready... the room was very hot ). Security was asleep when you walk back in after hours, had to ring the bell and knock on door several times, and they decided to clean the windows of the room at 8am, when I was trying to sleep ( they never told me that would happen and if I needed a different room ). Just crappy service in all.

Not well marked outside so hard to find. Coffee/tea/hot water available in lobby and sometimes a bowl of fruit. Elevator is security type so I felt safe. Ibis Styles is supposed to include breakfast. This location did not. Everywhere of hotel is small. Very little space in room to put suitcases or stuff you need to use. No shower curtain so floor gets wet all the way past sink to toilet. Showerhead was placed up high...not everyone is so tall! Towel rack is also way up high. Provide a stepstool for us short people!!! Only thing \"upscale\" was quality of toilet paper. But holder is placed horizontally and open in the direction you pull it so roll constantly falls onto floor. Stupid!!! Holder opening should be placed up! Very simple, doable adjustment. No washcloth. How are we supposed to wash our backs? Bed was very comfy but has only soft pillows. Nose gets smothered. Easy walking distance to Centraal train station so all other transportation too. That's why I chose this spot. If you don't need much space, this hotel is a good choice. Maybe there are larger rooms if that is what you need. My room faced inner courtyard so was quiet except for plumbing gurgling.

Hi - I was told when I checked in that breakfast would be available at 7AM. Turns out that was a lie - when I went down to the breakfast room at 7:05, I was told “I’m sorry, Sir, breakfast doesn’t open until later on Sundays”. Ridiculous. I would like a partial refund on my room fee. I didn’t have the flexibility to wait until later because I had a departing flight to catch.
