This hotel is excellent and in a great location. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The bar is spectacular with great bartenders that make perfect high quality drinks. Recommend this hotel very highly. Fairly priced for what you get.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton De Witt hotel. It was comfortable, quiet, and very clean. Our room had everything we needed, making our stay relaxing and convenient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They gave us great directions to local tourist attractions and even assisted us with scheduling tours, which made exploring the area so much easier. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

This is a very caring hotel! The weather was extremely hot while we were in Amsterdam. The hotel had ice in a big bowl in the lobby one day and the next there was a freezer filled with frozen fruit pops. The staff goes above and beyond daily! The room was so comfortable and well appointed.

We booked a twin for my nephew (adult 21yrs) and son (14 years). The price for the twin room was the same irrespective of whether a child was in the room.
My son could not travel and my nephew tooka friend instead.

The hotel made a surcharge of 10 Euros. This was both unexpected an unappreciated. for a tiny amount they annoyed us and made me not want to stay with tjhis brand again.

This hotel is definitely much more than just a place to sleep after you discover Amsterdam. Their delicious breakfast and generous social hours made the experience memorable. The hotel has the friendliest staff and the concierge made amazing recommendations. The room itself was clean, spacious, and traditionally luxurious, where I truly felt like royalty sipping coffee from those porcelain cups. My street view was amazing during the day, and the blackout curtains made it easy to sleep-in after a fun night. I had the best experience at Kimpton De Witt and I definitely recommend!

I cannot say enough how much we love this hotel. Our experience from beginning to end was amazing. Everyone working at the hotel is so friendly and helpful. When checking in, the young lady noticed my birthday was in a few days, and that my husband had just celebrated his birthday, and she comped us two breakfasts. On my actual birthday we got back to the room and there was a split of prosecco, chocolates and a personalized birthday card waiting. No one does that! But they did here! (Thank you, Derk!) When we left, they gifted us a room spray with their signature scent, which is incredible. We had breakfast at their restaurant, and had dinner there twice because everything was so good. The room itself was large, and so tastefully decorated. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Amsterdam, this is where were will be staying again. If perfection exists, this hotel would be it - at least in our opinion.

Fantastic home base right in the center of all the actions. Modern hotel with thoughtful touches. Regular rooms are slightly smaller than expected but very clean and comfortable. Check in process was smooth. Friendly staff. Modern design and functions. The social hour was a great touch, free bottles water are very appreciated too. Super comfortable king size bed in our room. There are few things that could be improved, for example, our room was not cleaned one day even if we had posted the sign on the door that we would like the room to be cleaned. The bathroom sink draining system was slow (they might need to drain the pipe soon). The rooms are very quiet from blocking outside noise, but noise from the hallway is evident. Overall a good stay, fantastic location!

This is overall a fantastic hotel and is probably in the best location in town. The staff are overall great, but there were a few hiccups. First, we had asked that the room be cleaned and also because we needed supplies replenished (for example, toilet paper), and they did not. Another miss was that we had ordered room service breakfast the morning of an activity we had planned externally. We waited and then called the room service line, and they told us that they never received the order after we placed it. This was a bit upsetting in the moment. There are definitely opportunities for improvement.

Easy walk from Centraal Station between red light district and Jordaan with walk ability and restaurants. It is a healthy walk to Van Gogh/Riksmuseum. Staff was fantastic and nice breakfast buffet and cocktail bar. Gym was decent. Excellent combo of price, location and amenities.

Light of the bathroom isn’t enough for shaving or making up. During one of nights bathroom had strong bad odor. The hotel and room conditions are so so, however the hotel charges premium fees. The front desk were very helpful and friendly.

Excellent hotel in prime location! Free bikes so you can explore more! Staff is super friendly gave me a little note and chocolate as well as a late check out so this was much appreciated as I had a late flight. We also had drinks at the Lyan bar which has funky vibes and great cocktails. There is also social hour from 4-5p with free wine or beer. It seems to be a popular place and was fully booked but staff did not seem rushed-they were kind to everyone! Will defo be back !

Excellent restaurants just across the street - Indian, Ramen (best ramen I’ve ever had), pizza…staff and amenities were amazing. Always prompt and cheerful! Rooms and bathroom very spacious and modern. Lots of fun extras like free wine and cheese social everyday, cookies, stroopewafel. You can also pick out a house plant for your stay and the bring it to your room- loved this idea. Lots of little things like a cheerful smile and greeting each and every time you entered and exited the building. Concierge very helpful. One of the best hotel experiences ever!

Only problem was that there were no options for bedding. Only had a duvet which was far too hot to be able to sleep as the room had limited temperature variation. We asked for a blanket and after a few attempts a manager finally found two small covers to use. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were great. The location was great.

The hotel was very well situated, 5 min walk from railway station, tram stop outside to the museum quarter and walking distance to the shops, restaurants, bars and sites. The hotel location is in the heart of the City Centre. This was a great place to stay because of the proximity to Dam Square...Anne Frank House and many restaurants and pubs that were all in walking distance. Also, there was a tram that ran on the Main Street that could take you to multiple areas in the City.

The check-in/checkout was seamless. The accommodations were modern and the service of staff was top tier. I reported water temperature issues and the Kimpton de Witt maintenance team repaired it promptly!

The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the quietness of the room although it faced the busy corridor.

The hotel offers a free breakfast and a daily social hour from 4p-5p! The social hour offers free (red or white) wine; beer and soft drinks. It would be great if they added a cheese board or some other snacks during the social hour.

The hotel bar in the hotel was fantastic...they served high quality artisan cocktails. While dining at a restaurant nearby ...when I asked for recommendations of places to try great drinks..they suggested Bar Lyon at my hotel!

We spent 1 night at Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam and would gladly have stayed more. The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and had all your essential amenties, the decor is very modern, the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options. The hotel offers a daily happy hour with free drinks and also free bicycle hire, unfortunately we were not to make use of these, but was very impressed it was offered. It is also situated in a very central location, walking distance to alot of the major attractions and Centraal station. Would defo recommend if visiting the city.

Our stay at the Kimpton De Witt in Amsterdam was absolutely perfect. The location is excellent—close to everything yet still calm and comfortable—but what truly made this hotel stand out was the service.
The front desk staff, especially the lady who helped us, was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. Every interaction felt warm and personal, which is rare and so appreciated.
If you’re deciding where to stay in Amsterdam, don’t hesitate—this hotel is worth it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The room is spacious, clean and very welp maintained. The location is very close to Amsterdam Centraal, so if you plan to go inter city, Kimpton is a very good location for accommodation. The staff is friendly and attentive. There was a bit of confusion with the breakfast, and they gave us breakfast for two for free! Kimpton is highly recommended!
