The area itself is quite with good transport links to the city centre and airport. It doesn't take long at all to get around. I would definifelt stay again 😊

I stayed at this motor lodge for 2.5 weeks while my bathroom was being renovated, and it was a really comfortable and convenient place to stay. The room was simple but had everything I needed, and the shared bathrooms were always clean and well-kept. What stood out most was the friendly and welcoming staff—they made the stay much easier and more pleasant. Really appreciated the hospitality!

It is perfectly placed. There is free street parking (if you are good at parallel parking) and the 12 minute ferry to Circular Quay is only a 3 minute walk.

It’s a great old heritage house. Amazing location! We walked about 2 mins down hill to the ferry terminal. With a bit of tlc the inside would be amazing- could do with new carpet and paint etc. Bathroom is newish.

The rooms were as expected, adequate and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional. Location was very pleasant, make sure you checkout your surrounds. There were only 2 negatives, parking, 6 spots is reasonable but it requires other guests to park well, during our stay one of the guests did not leave room to access the park, maybe lines are required.. 2nd issue was that on arrival the rooms stunk, this was fixed by opening the windows and airing out.

This was a basic hotel with a basic price, so no surprises. We had room 7, which was a small queen room upstairs, with large ensuite. The bed could have been a bit better, but fine for one night. Fan heater useful for warmth. TV worked fine. Plenty of hot water. We had no issues with noise or kitchen smells. Limited street parking. Really close walk to 2 restaurants- Mum & Dad's, and Jaggis Indian. We ate at Jaggis, which had really excellent food. In the am, walk to the wharf downhill for brekky at Thelma & Louise Cafe near the ferry wharf. Overall a pleasant overnight stay, for the money paid.

Ideal location: ferry ride across the harbour from Circular Quay takes 15 mins and what a view! Free sightseeing trip of the bridge, the Opera House, the Quays, and northern bays. Lodge is just 5 mins walk up hill from the Neutral Bay wharf. ( Plus nice cafe by wharf for breakfast.)

A hostel, and the king room with ensuite doesn't share any facilities but it's still a hostel room. The mattresses are pretty well-worn, no air con and the room is really humid, you can hear all the footsteps from upstairs and they make the fire sprinkler pipe rattle against the fluro light, and the road noise is pretty bad. The staff were really nice and we were able to check in early, which was a big help. We stayed in room #1 (all the pictures online are from other rooms). It's just up the road from a good Indian restaurant, a good cafe, and the ferry.

Although the property is located in a great location, the property is really a youth hostel. The rooms have paper thin doors with a dodgy single lock on it and so you can hear every movement. The bathrooms are unisex shared with 3 shower cubicles, 3 toilets and 3 basins. There are no bath mats nor hand towels provided, just 2 bath towels. The carpet is dark but stained. I felt unsafe in the room with the lack of suitable locks. On the positive, the receptionist when phoned (as reception was not manned on a Saturday at 4pm) was pleasant and parking onsite was available, the room was clean, had tea and coffee, a safe and was large enough (although it only had a small high window so no outlook unless you were standing right at it. Very disappointing accommodation.

What i didnt like is that the doors to the rooms are not soft or quietly closing. Other people staying had doors slamming VERY VERY loudly next to mine. I understand there is gong to be an acceptable level of noise but the door slammed at nigth very late woke me up with a fright.
