My wife and I vised Amsterdam in February 2026. The WestCord City Centre Hotel is a super hotel in a fantastic location. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and a similar distance from Dam Square where a lot of the attractions are close to.
All the staff we met were very friendly and happy to help with information about a wide range of things, how to get somewhere, booking tickets etc.
Our only negative view was that the room was quite small and did not have a lot of wardrobe/storage space. We visited in February, so had packed more warmer clothing than we would have for a trip to the beach.
I would certainly have no hesitation in staying here again, if we returned to Amsterdam in the future.

Thank you Team Westcord City Centre Hotel for the little surprise on our anniversary. We love the macaroons and wine, much appreciated. Location is perfect, close to everything, central station, Damrak, Damsquare, lovers cruise, red district and all other attractions within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious, lots of varieties to choose from. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again when in Amsterdam.

Exactly as advertised. Convenient location, close to Amsterdam central train , the Dam and many other sites. Many restaurants around the hotel. We enjoyed Asian Thai restaurant at 105 same road as hotel, less than a 4 min walk. Rooms are small but clean, with kettle, coffee, etc. Staff was friendly!

The location is great, with much to see. We walked to the museums, about a mile, but was not a bad walk. There were a couple of great restaurants near by, Savina which was nice to just stroll to dinner.

Rooms are small but clean. Staff was outstanding.

The room was clean. The bathroom and room was a bit small but I probably didn't read the size correctly. It was ok though since it was for one night only.
Warm and friendly staff with food options at the hotel.
About 3 minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal with lots of places to eat around.
I would stay here again but definitely in a bigger room

Great shops and restaurants all within walking distances. Only complaint was once you leave the lobby heading to your rooms there is an odd smell and not the kind of smoke smell you seem to have everywhere. In saying that once you open your window in the room it seems to disappear. And i would stay here again.

Excellent Stay at WestCord City Center Amsterdam

We had a fantastic stay at WestCord City Center Hotel! The location is ideal — within walking distance of Central Station, Dam Square, and major attractions, and the tram stop is right in front of the hotel, making getting around the city very easy.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful, offering great tips on restaurants, sights, and transportation. Check-in was smooth, and service throughout our stay was excellent.

Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel facilities were well maintained, and everything felt thoughtfully arranged.

Overall, WestCord City Center offers excellent comfort, a prime location, and outstanding service. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Room was awkward and small. Bed and pillows were nice. Shower drain was terrible and the door getting into the bathroom was like working a puzzle. The breakfast was 22eueo pp and based on selection not worth it. We found a reasonable cafe for breakfast at the square. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Hotel staff was not very friendly at check in. We arrived around 11:30am and was told that our rooms were not available and to come back at 3. We came back around 2 and the front desk staff was giving us a hard time about checking in. Finally they moved our room to another one so that we could get our room. Once in the room, it was very stuffy, musty smelling in there. Maintenance man in the hallway said that the air conditioner has been shut off for the season and that we would need to go downstairs to have it turned on. We went downstairs and asked if the air could be put on in our room and again, staff was rude but eventually turned it on.

Nice central location, a little close to red lights for my taste. Train station walking distance. We slept in (jet lag) so missed our room cleaning in spite of leaving a tag on the door. Friendly desk people. The interior room was quite small but very quiet. Transparent sink?! Bit weird.

Our room (double and a single) was on the 5th floor. It gave us a good view of the area. The room was clean and comfortable, but the washroom was enclosed in frosted glass so there was limited privacy.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The treats, water, and coffee in the lobby was a plus.
The area was busy, but it felt safe and was both walkable and close to public transit.

First, they put us in a very small room we did not reserve.
Then bathroom was overflooded after taking one shower, and after complaining, they gave us a better room, which was on the picture when we ordered the hotel. This room is not convenient if you stay 4 nights, because there are no night stands, no drawers, just little closet without shelves.
Lidia at front desk was very unfriendly.
The location was great, everything closed by.

My stay at this hotel was far from what I expected. I made the reservation in advance without any warning about ongoing renovations, only to be informed the day before arrival that there would be painting and construction during my visit. This last-minute notice was frustrating and definitely affected my experience.

The room I was given faced an interior area, so it had no access to natural light, and the noise and activity outside the window made it difficult to relax. To make matters worse, the carpet was noticeably stained and seemed like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time, which made the space feel neglected.

I reached out to see if I could be relocated to another room or even a different property, but the staff said there were no alternatives available. I found the level of customer service to be disappointing for a place that should prioritize guest comfort.

I'm hoping the management takes this feedback seriously and offers at least a partial refund. If that happens, I’ll consider updating this review.

Area is good, lobby and resteraunt food and area was excellent, rooms were very small and cheap motel 6 style. Bathrooms were updated. And nice. Lighting was different i had to phone lobby to know how to turn lights on. Quiet all night then construction noise in morning. Window looked out to next buildings window 5 feet away no view looked like mill shaft.

Nice and convenient area, unfortunately the hotel was under renovations and they started with concrete drills before 7am in the morning and none stop until we checked out. They were right above our room, it made it difficult to sleep. This was not shared with us at check in time and even though we shared this with the hotel desk, they did nothing to try compensate our stay.

Very unhelpful at check in - we arrived early as did many others and were told room was not ready which was fair enough but then while waiting in reception for over an hour some people were allowed their keys to their rooms while you could see reception staff were literally making others wait until 3 pm on the dot to get into their rooms - like the magic cleaners suddenly finished all rooms at 3 pm.
