Good location near a lot of restaurants and bars. There is a breakfast restaurant but we didn’t try it as there are so many options outside of the hotel. They have a bar but I believe it is only open one night a week which is odd but again there’s so much nearby that it wasn’t a big deal. The gym was fine but got crowded quickly as the space was small. The staff was friendly and everyone would greet us when we walked by. The room was very small but in our experience a lot of European hotels have small rooms so that was to be expected. The most annoying part of the experience is that we had to take one elevator up a few flights and then walk across the hall to another elevator which isn’t a huge deal but a bit of a hassle if you want to run up to the room quick to grab something.

The concierge who was working Friday and Saturday was the most miserable and unhelpful person I have encountered. If you are young and pretty, he is all over you and can’t do enough, but if you are “older” he is not interested in helping. I was disinclined to ask him anything as he was very surely. However, the concierge that was on duty on Sunday was very pleasant and most helpful.

Had a really great stay here. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, making it very comfortable to relax after exploring the city. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. The location is very convenient, with easy access to central Amsterdam and nearby attractions. Overall, an amazing experience and great value for a city stay.

A very nice hotel. The only complaint would be the occasional smell of a bad drain. The exhaust fan in the shower area (which is constantly on) is pulling so much air, I suspect it is pulling fumes from the shower drain (which evidently doesn’t have a P trap under the base).

The property was fine once u got inside. It was very dirty right outside the door. I think someone could make sure there isn't garbage and cigarette butter everywhere right out the door. The staff was very pleasant and we did enjoy the gym, sauna and steam.

The hotel is centrally located and reasonably priced but the property is immense, has no charm, and the service is spotty. I had to ask three times for an extra pillow before I finally got one on our last night. On the other hand, the information person was quite helpful. The room was fine but one light didn’t work well and the room seemed dark at night.

We were on the 2nd floor and at night there was a noisy party going on until 2 am. We weren’t sure where it was at though. Turning on white noise on a phone helped. In the morning we woke up to dishes and utensils clinking and people talking as the breakfast area was right outside our door.

Getting into the room was a trick. The door opened to a narrow hallway that led to a couple steps up. This made dealing with luggage difficult. The bathroom was downstairs. We were both concerned that if he got up to use it in the middle of the night that we’d forget about the stairs and fall down them.

The staff was nice and helpful. The location was good and an 8 minute walk from the train station.

If recommend that if staying here don’t stay on the 2nd floor.

Room was clean and decent size. Sauna and steam room access was nice. Very central and easy walk from Central station. The toilet position was awkward especially for taller people. There was no bar open whilst we were there. Apparently only opens for a few hours on Friday evening. Breakfast available but no lunch or evening restaurant. That said if plenty of drinking and eating places within seconds walk of hotel.

We came in early from our flight from a safari and the front office staff managed to get us into our room right away. We also left a piece of luggage with them while we were on safari.
The breakfast is dry good with lots of options and the hotel location is great, right downtown and close to the train station.
All staff were great!!!

It was not a great experience. The bathroom had a really bad smell and several times it reeked of weed in the entire hallway and into our room. Glasdoor between bathroom and the bedroom without the possibility to turn of the light your self (it was a sensor) made it also really bad.

Central location; uber drivers cannot go to the door but taxis can. Uber driver let us off and picked us up across the street from the hotel... there was no issue with that. Breakfast was better than most hotels. Price was very high the days we stayed because it was at the end of tulip season. Bed was very, very soft - felt like I was sinking into a marshmallow.

Room was clean and spacious. Hot tub and sauna in room which wss great but the toilet and shower were seperate rooms , with the sink in the main bedroom, bit of an odd set up.
Had a safe which was good and also a fridge but it didnt work, which was annoying. Also no waters in the fridge or available, only to buy from a vending machine and pricey.
Bar was open 5pm-11pm which could have had better opening times , as reception dont deal with cash so wasnt able to get change.
Overall good hotel , very good location and clean with good features in the wellness room. Would stay again.

Would not stay again. All the 4 star reviews are so misleading. Staff was grumpy and the girls that checked us in were being rude and condescending. We got one key card per room because they were rationing their cards. They didn’t have enough cards for the amount of rooms they had booked so each guest only received 1. Really? Pillows were being rationed as well. Only 2 pillows per room. We were told that if every guest asked for extra pillows they would run out of pillows. The hotel is in a central location and that is the only plus in my opinion. Staff need to get
their act together and be nice to customers, especially if they are charging a premium for 2 star quality and service.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. It is immaculate and is in the perfect location to explore all Amsterdam has to offer. We prepaid our breakfasts and what a deal! The breakfast buffet has something for everyone; from hot choices to your traditional continental breakfast items. The staff is so very friendly! We will definitely stay here when we return to this incredible city.

Location was perfect , room was very clean , breakfast was good too .
Had an issue with the TV. Couldn't get it fixed for my last night there . Had a 5 am alarm for the exit to the airport , so the option waS to give me an upgrade next time .... that's not going to work ... the only one getting anything out of this is the hotel for renting a room that shouldn't have been rented because of broken equipment in it , for 300 plus dollars a night , expect more for that !!! There are lots of hotels in the center ...to bad guys

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Despite being right in the middle of bars and cafés, it was surprisingly quiet and I slept really well. The staff were also very helpful throughout my stay.

The only downside was the TV, which only had local channels, so as a tourist it wasn’t very useful. Streaming options like YouTube didn’t really work or were quite difficult to access, possibly due to the internet connection. That’s something I’d recommend improving.

The location is very convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Central station and close to everything. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again.

Our \"City\" room was spacious and clean - having two comfortable chairs in the bedroom was good.
Breakfast was good, although the selection of pastries could have been wider. The hotel has a booking scheme for breakfast which helps to manage how busy the breakfast room is.
The location of the hotel is excellent if you are arriving by train, and is convenient for exploring the historic centre of Amsterdam.
The staff that we dealt with were courteous and helpful.
I would stay at this hotel on a future visit.

The room was small but comfortable. There was some talking out in the hallway in the early hours but not prolonged. I guess whomever was responsible felt a bit guilty because there was a bottle of Amstel outside our door in the morning. Staff was great and the breakfast was very good, not like many “continental“ breakfasts we suffer through in Canadian hotels.

Clean, comfortable, good breakfast and great location. Unfortunately all let down by the bathroom. Since we last stayed the bathroom door has been replaced with opaque glass and the light is automatic. This means it goes off when you don’t want it to, but if you get up in the night you wake your partner by shining a light on them, and it chooses that moment not to turn off for 15 minutes. By which time you are wide awake and furious.
In another move to glass you now only get glasses in your room in order to make tea in. They are of course dangerously hot. We asked for mugs and were told someone would bring them but nobody did. We also ran out of toilet paper but I saw other people getting it from reception so I think it must be rationed.
Our city view room had a view of a narrow alley way and the other half of the hotel. Not really what we imagined when we booked it.
