The room was acceptable overall, but there were some comfort-related issues.

An automatic bathroom fan turned on every morning at 08:00 with loud noise and no option to control or switch it off. It was highly disruptive and negatively affected the stay.

The bathroom floor was very cold, which made it uncomfortable to use, especially in the mornings. In addition, one of the light bulbs in the fixture was not working.

The TV remote was missing its back cover and had no batteries upon arrival. Although this was resolved after one day, it should have been checked before guests checked in.

That said, the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay, which we appreciated.

Lovely staff, excellent room and prime location. The booking was last minute due to a cancelled flight but the hotel were great to communicate with and very helpful and accommodating.

Room was ok only certain plugs worked in our room rang up about this girl on reception desk told us to give her 5 mins and she’ll ring back she never did ,staff aren’t the friendliest the man who deals with the luggage was very rude to me and my partner due to cancellation on our flight we had to rebook again and the girl on the reception desk didn’t care just told us a price put us in a room with single beds room didn’t look clean either smoke buds on the floor and wallpaper all the wall starting to rip very disappointing experience again use to love this hotel but now I just feel like it’s gone down hill

Breakfast was good. Hotel location is also very good. The front desk staff were very helpful. Only problem was that taxis or Uber were not available. One has to solely depend on the hotel’s taxi subcontracted service - a bit expensive.

This was our 3rd time staying at Intell Amsterdam Centre.
The hotel is ideally situated. Close to all the main shopping areas. Sightseeing attractions are not far on foot but public transport is very close by. The room was spotless snd cleaned everyday. We highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean and a decent size. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice and powerful. Good central location that was in easy reach of the central station and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Even though the hotel was in a busy location, I couldn't hear any outside noise when in my room.

Really disappointed that a hotel of this standing had a bar that ONLY Opened on a FRIDAY night from 5-11pm. We were staying with 3 families in this hotel- it’s so nice to meet up for a drink and chat in the lounge before or after a meal. We were not going to use the self service machine on second floor for socialising.

7 minutes walk from central station, quiet at night, next to the shopping street. room size is good and very clean. can walk to almost all the attractions. only complaint is the pillow is in small square shape, when you turn the head, the pillow is gone. would suggest the hotel use rectangle pillow instead.

The staff was professional and the faculty and room were clean. The hotel is only about 4 blocks from the central station and it is close to the main tourist attraction, especially the red light district and shopppng areas. There’s a bike shop next door. We would stay here again.

Room 2323 was loud at night due to night club. All night long …for 3 nights… party noice and yelling. Staff were amazing and location was excellent. Only complaint was the room needed white noice due to loud neighbours. Also, Uber does not properly locate this hotel, resulting in a pick up location 10 minutes away!!!

Ideally located 7 mins walk from the Central Station, shopping and lots of nearby dining options. Staff were all very friendly, stopping to say hello and/or good morning etc. Breakfast was nice with good selection to pick from.
Room was nice, irons are available near the lifts. We had a good stay and would certainly stay here again. However, it would be even better if they provided free bottled water in the rooms on arrival.

Everything was perfect: kind and helpful staff, nice breakfast.
Rooms was quite big (compared to what you would typically get in Amsterdam!) and very clean.

One thing that wasn't perfect, but surely tolerable: the bathroom didn't have a light switch, it was managed by a sensor, plus it had a frosted glass door, so it means that if you go to the bathroom at night you will have a lot of light in the bedroom for a loooong time after.

The staff was not helpful. Just one example … I received cotton swabs the first day and then did not receive for the next 5 days. On the 6th day, I asked the front desk for cotton swabs and was told that the hotel does not provide. After I complained that they provide since I received it on the first day, the lady at the front desk reluctantly took her time to get it from behind the counter. This is just one example. We experienced quite a few these small annoyances. One small thing we can overlook, but the staff at the front desk was really unprofessional.

It is a really nice hotel that's perfectly located in the city centre. Very clean and modern. However, the door to the bathroom is made of glass with a big hole in it. This means that there is absolutely NO privacy when you are in the bathroom. You can hear EVERYTHING which is very inconvenient. We would therefore never stay there again.

Second time i have stayed at this hotel. Its just off the main street and easy walking to the dam and the main area of Amsterdam short walk from central train station.Good value for money. Checkin was good. We had a newly renovaated room which was nice. However walls are very thin. Lighting was dull could be a bit better and would like to see more usb ports especially near the bed. Love the no shower screen door makes getting in and out of tge shower easy. Not alot of bench space in bathroom. Staff were all friendly . We had breakfast included which was convient. It had enough choices of hot and cold to suit everyones taste. I also like they allowed you to take your coffee back to your room. Would definatley recommend this hotel and would stay again if ever in Amsterdam again. Only thing didnt like was having to walk through guest smoking right at the front doors.
