No phone in the room. no drinking water cattle in the room. No iron board in the room. ( It’s in the hallway each floor). The location is very good and convenient. The customer service is good. But false alarm at 2:00 am made all the guests walking down from their rooms to the ground. We saw few elderly people as well. We never had such bad experience before!

The Ibis is located right by the train station. For anyone arriving by train, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is also centrally located so it's super easy to walk, jump on the tram, or call an uber, taxi, or hop on a bike if you have one.
The hotel lobby is modern and inviting. It's clean and full of activity from the on-site restaurant. It's a nice spot to just hang out at. The rooms are spacious not too small at least the one we stayed in. While it was comfortable my only gripe is the bathroom could use a refresh. It feels more outdated than the actual room itself. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay.

I used it for one night and it was absolutely fine - the rooms are however a little \"compact\" and I wouldn't personally fancy more than a couple of nights there. Especially if one's neighbours were a little boisterous.....

This has been one of the worse stays at ibis I’ve had over the world.
Firstly, our eurostar train was cancelled due to a fatality so we could not arrive on the first day of our booking, when I called the hotel to let them know and ask if it was possible not to get charged as it was beyond our control, the member on the staff said to me ‘tell me if you are coming at all or not, we are very busy, if you are not coming we can give the room to someone else’. Let alone discussing or responding to my question, being told that they’ll give my room to someone else if out of order and extremely disappointing to start with, this was hence my first impression of this hotel.

On arrival after such a hassle next morning I arrived to find the room in ok state, beds were made but the room didn’t seemed to have been cleaned, bathroom sink wasn’t clean and there were no toilet rolls, had to come down to the reception for the toilet roll, before popping out of the hotel.

Also, the room smells musty and smoky throughout the stay. Not acceptable at all.


Next when we got back in the evening went in to have a shower only to realise there was only 1 bath sheet between two adults.


Staff did not bother to apologise of compensate in anyway when I told them at checkout.

I would like a full explanation about the poor service and attitude of your staff.

Very cozy hotel strategically situated at the heart of the city, right next door to Amsterdam Central Station. Easy to go around: Dam Square, Royal Palace and many famous tourist attractions and/or culinary experience as well as shopping areas. Room is also clean & safe. You can catch public train in Central Station which took 15-20 mins journey to/from the Schiphol Airport. Won't mind rebook the hotel on my next trip to the city. Very highly recommended.

The hotel was great, good location, everything was perfect until 10am on the checkout day (two hours before the checkout time) a cleaner walked into our room with no notice to both of us being naked getting ready. Absolute disgrace, we had an argument with the cleaner and she said it was our fault for not putting something on the door, even though we were still hours away from checkout. Wait down to reception, they said nothing could be done. Although this hotel is an ideal location, I wouldn’t stay here, unless you want to be walked in on stark naked and then made to feel like it was YOUR fault, do not stay here.

The bar area is very nice and the breakfast was good. My only complaint is that the showers are a little slippery. I didn’t have an issue but my Dad (80) did, he needed something to be able to grab in there for his safety.

The breakfast was ok, but we were challenged upon arrival at breakfast time - that we'd only paid for one person, when I had my hotels-dot-com invoice showing otherwise/

Went to the counter later to get this put right but was met with a man with some attitude. He said it was a hotels-dot-com thing not being booked correctly, and he could not fix it. He suggested I show my invoice if challenged at breakfast.

The next day we were challenged again. This time I wrote to Ibis to complain. It was ultimately resolved, but they don't truly seem sorry. They didn't grasp that it should have simply been fixed immediately. I was assured I didn't do anything wrong - which, um, I already knew. I should not have had to push for this. It put a sour note on our visit.

Perfect location, as soon as you walk out the train station it’s right there. A great base if you’re new and wanting to explore the city. Good amenities on site, a small snack shop and a restaurant in case you’re peckish. Next door you’ve got lockers, so if you arrive early and it’s too early to check in or vice versa you’re checking out but not leaving for a while you can leave your luggage somewhere safe.

Only things I’d suggest would be a deep clean of the hotel, replace mattresses that are past their best and fix the air con. But other than that it was a very pleasant stay!

great location and great bar area. the only complaint is one of the elevators had vomit in it. Things happen when everyone is having fun. we told them about at it at 530am and when we came back at 8am after breakfast before leaving for the airport it was still in the elevator. I would stay again.

Excellent location, quiet and clean. The staff went above and beyond for us from the moment we checked in early. I stupidly left my phone in the taxi on the way to the train station. When I realized I’d lost it, my friend called the hotel, who immediately checked my room and when they didn’t find it, took it upon themselves to call the taxi company. Within a few minutes of calling the hotel, they’d tracked down the taxi, located my phone, and sent the driver to meet me at the train station so we’d make our departure. This is WAY above the call of duty, and saved the day. Would recommend 1000 times over.

Fair price for such a great location. They were amenable to minor requests like early check in and bringing condiments up to our room. Great breakfast too.

One suggestion is to add some furnishings with drawers to the room.
