Location was great for sightseeing. Walking distance to Spice Bazar and Grand Bazar (30 min). There is a tram very close to the hotel which also helps for transportation. The hotel is an ex bank and the interior design and accommodation is great. One of their staff, Cem is a great asset to the team. He was very quick to go above and beyond to make our stay great. The breakfast buffet is rather small but has a bit of everything. The do charge extra for Cappuccino and Espresso which doesn't really make sense. Their rooftop is definitely worth seeing and enjoying a drink. During our stay the hotel was having trouble with their internet so this was a bit of a challenge. They also had to put in a topper for our mattress since the bed was rather hard. They did their best to solve the things we had concerns about.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and genuinely welcoming. The staff were attentive, warm and always ready to help without feeling overbearing — a balance many hotels aim for but rarely nail this well.

The room was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell great care goes into maintaining the space and ensuring guests feel at home. Small touches, like the quality amenities and thoughtful room setup, really made a difference.

Overall, this hotel exceeded expectations. The service, comfort, and attention to detail made our stay memorable. I would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a genuinely great hotel experience.

Well located in walking distance to Galataport area and transportation of all forms. Easy to get taxi or take trams. Can walk to old district and sight see. Main complaint was the noise at night. Can hear music and traffic coming from street. Also had intermittent sewage smell, fortunately only lasted couple minutes! Staff were helpful and very courteous. Overall I enjoyed our stay very much!

Truly a 5 Star Experience

This hotel was just like the pictures and there was hardly anything out of place. The customer service was always quick and professional whenever I needed anything or had a question. I place a premium on the air conditioning which many fancy hotels only pretend to have and deny any issues when you complain. That was not an issue here as the room was cold just as I preferred. The breakfast was very tasty and a combination of buffet style and made to order. The room did need some minor touch ups and the mattress was a bit firm for my liking. Another bonus was that this hotel actually gives you premium bathroom toiletry samples like shower gel and shampoo, which other hotels have phased out. I would probably stay here gain if return to lstanbul.

We have stayed at the Bank Hotel so many times now... for us it is like a home away from home... and that is how we are always treated by the staff. Like family. The hotel provides a beautiful oasis away from the bustle of the streets and the staff are simply the best. The position is perfect... within easy walking distance of the Galata and the Golden Horn.. Over the years we have brought friends and family and they have all loved it. Our deepest gratitude to Osman, Sahar and the team Bank Hotel. We cant wait to come back again!

Everything cool but …the me yes and everything written on cards etc et VERY LITTLE LETTERS ..and with the addition that the paper they use is brown it makes it much more difficult ti read it. Its a unusual that in the breakfast everything is included but … if you ask for a cappuccino they will charge it …😳. Nice hotel. Nice location !

Great hotel to visit in Istanbul

For our first visit to Istanbul, this was the perfect location. Thanks to the excellent transport system everything is in easy reach. The hotel scores on every front. It is beautifully designed, the staff are helpful and attentive, the room is comfortable and with all the amenities you would expect from a quality hotel. A lovely surprise was the birthday cake produced for my wife. Definitely where we'd stay on a return visit.

Lovely place to stay near Galata Tower

Not the cheapest place to stay, but reasonable by western standards, especially given the high level of service in a classic, elegant building in an excellent location. The spa services - especially the packaging of massage and hammam - were wonderful (though, again, not very cheap by Istanbul standards). The breakfast was excellent and included made-to-order eggs. The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities one would expect in a high-end hotel.

We liked this hotel so much, that we booked our 2nd stay to return. Here are the positives, central location with easy access to public transportation and Istanbul's main attractions, clean, great amenities, SPA, gym, rooftop bar and restaurant (excellent). They paid every attention to the details and even the hotel scent was carefully planned. Breakfast was a treat but the best was the STAFF. They were always present and willing to assist, we never had to ask twice for anything. Oh and the antique elevator! Our daughter was so thrilled by this, although it could only fit 2 persons. We would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Istanbul. Negatives- Maybe the neighborhood several blocks to the east is a little rough, but that is beyond their control. All in all a good find, and we will be back...

Stunning Decor, Lacking Personal Touch

The Bank Hotel in Istanbul is a stunning property housed in an old bank, featuring exquisite marble details. Although the location has its pros and cons—it's convenient for tram users with the Karaköy station nearby, but taxi or Uber users may face long waits due to the hotel's placement on a busy, narrow street.

The hotel's potential is somewhat undermined by the reception experience. The small reception area is often manned by only one or two staff members who are overwhelmed with tasks, from attending to guests to managing access to the popular rooftop bar. This results in a reception that often feels rushed and stressed, impacting the overall guest experience.

A particular inconvenience occurred during our checkout day concerning breakfast service. We were informed breakfast started at 7 AM, not 6:30 AM as we had thought. Despite the food being visibly ready and our early flight, the waiting staff, adhering strictly to management's rules, refused to serve us earlier. This rigid adherence to rules without consideration for guest circumstances was disappointing.

Furthermore, interactions at the rooftop bar and with the breakfast staff were mixed. Staff frequently removed menus prematurely and there was confusion over our eligibility for breakfast, indicating a lack of communication and attention to detail expected in a 5-star boutique hotel.
Despite its beauty and prime location, The Hotel could improve its service to truly meet the standards of a 5 star boutique hotel.

When I arrived I hated the small, ground floor, windowless room I was given but I complained and was given a nore spacious room the room was more than adequate for my needs. Front desk staff very helpful. It would have been nice to be able to take your own coffee and juice at breakfast but had to get your food and eat hslf of it before someone briught beverages. The room itself was nice.

I asked for a bosphoro night cruise and they told me I could pay with a credit card at the ship. At the ship they did not accept credit cards and the one in charge was drunk, didn't understand english and it was very difficult for us. Not nice way to treat guests

From check in to check out the staff went above and beyond their duty. Our stay at the hotel was incredible. Chocolates and other gifts waiting for us in our room for us to enjoy, complimentary water delivered every morning and more chocolate on the weekend. It was my wife's birthday during our stay and she was surprised with a delicious cake.
All the staff from customer advisor to porter were all very attentive and extremely polite, always delivering a service with a smile, nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is extremely comfortable and very stylish. The roof top bar is beautiful and defo worth a visit. The location is perfect within 10 mins walk to local restaurants and 30 mins walk to the grand bazzar. Thanks for making my wife's birthday and our first trip to Istanbul memorable.

Excellent Hotel very quiet, very clean, nice property, rooms are beautiful with acceptable space, but Expedia site do not have a proper information about the Hotel, first at all ONLY ONE ROOM IS SEA VIEW (PENTHOUSE SUITE), THE CITY VIEW IS INCORRECT THE HOTEL IS SURROUNDED BY TALL BUILDINGS YOU DON'T HAVE ANY VIEW ONLY ANOTHER BUILDING JUST A FEW FEETS AWAY, the Hotels listed like VIP property,I travel with some relatives and friends, we booked 4 rooms, the reception guy not even mention the vip status all of us have VIP travelers. The location is convenient and staffs was very helpful and professional.

The hotel is fantastic. The service, the location, and the atmosphere are all 5*. I want to give a special thanks to the cleaner who found my passport after I checked out and the front desk staff for returning it to me in no time.

Check out the restaurant upstairs. It's worth the visit even if you are not staying at the hotel. I dined there on two occasions, and the food/service were always top-notch.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff and service were excellent, really exceptional. My solo room was well appointed, luxurious. Bt it was tiny, the ceiling wa higher than the room was wide. All od of that would be fine, but the room had two large windows directly on a very busy sidewalk and street. So that even with earplugs the noise was terrible. Other than that the hotel was perfect.

Hotel is great with beautiful rooms. There are two buildings in the hotel (1 & 2) and I feel the rooms in building 1 are a little better and newer. The lower ground rooms in building 2 can be a little loud on the weekends as they are street level.

This hotel is amazing.

I travelled with a two year old, so was apprehensive as i wasnt sure if it would be child friendly, however, the staff where so welcoming with such a positive attitude towards my child.

The location is perfect, within walking distance to all popular tourist sites. The area has lots of eating options and a convenience store accross the road.

I dont usually leave reviews, but felt i had to on this occasion as it really was a positive experience.

Thank you for your help and friendliness. It really does make all the difference when visiting a new place.

Perfect location on the Golden Horn, easy access to Beyoglu, the Galata Tower, the Hagia Sofia/Blue Mosque (30 minute walk), Bosphorus, TomTom and so many beautiful sites. The employees were also incredibly accommodating and helped my wife and I navigate getting COVID tests to get home to the US easily. The staff is what makes this hotel particularly great and they couldn't have been more gracious. I won't stay anywhere else when I return to Istanbul.

Fantastic location with lots of restaurants, bars, live music, coffee shops in the area (especially at night, it gets very lively) - also not too far from Sultanahmet (15-20 min walk, or 3 stops by tram).

Hotel was very nice as well; small, boutique style. Very comfortable stay, but the deluxe king room I stayed in was quite small. (I wouldn't recommend the massage at the hotel spa, felt like a back rub. The messeur clearly had no experience)

The property and staff are both excellent but the location is this hotels key feature. Several areas of interest are within walking distance and the metro is also a short walk away.
