We stayed in the deluxe double with a canal view and EVERYTHING about this hotel was wonderful. Huge staff shoutout to Stefano, he was amazing—he secured us last minute dinner reservations with prime seating—Max (Indonesian restaurant) is a must try. The lobby, the restaurant/bar, the vibe was old school Amsterdam but immaculately clean. I don’t know how this hotel gets anything but 5 star reviews. If you are hesitating about this hotel, book it!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

We loved everything about The Toren Amsterdam by The Pavilions. The location was amazing, close to the Anne Frank Museum. We chose a canal view. We had a lovely breakfast each day and loved our dinner there. The staff was helpful and so friendly. The ambiance was beautiful. And we loved our room, comfy bed and a huge tub with jets, all at a fair price. We would definitely come here again.

This hotel had everything: impeccably clean, authentic, modern, roomy lounge, helpful staff, and best of all - close to everything we wanted to walk to. I had the garden room with jacuzzi tub. I was in heaven. The tub was longer than me and fit two, thats a first for me. Ill be staying there again!

Our reservation said that we have VIP, which would’ve given us a free bottle of wine, but the hotel said that they did not see it so could not acknowledge it.

We absolutely loved the dining area. Breakfast was wonderful and the ambience was magical.

The bedroom decor was not something we would’ve chosen, but it was nice.The amenities provided in the bedroom were wonderful.

The bathroom was fantastic! Very luxurious.

The staff was lovely and very helpful.

Loved our room, BUT folks need to be aware not all rooms booked are in the main hotel, some are down the block in another building. Still very traditional Amsterdam. Amazing lounge with food options in the main hotel. We were there in December and the hotel was decorated for the holidays. This hotel has a very cozy feel.

The location was perfect. It places us on /near the canals and close to Anne Frank museum. Check in staff were very helpful, gave us a list of recommended restaurants and we enjoyed 2 of them! Location was really nice as it was quiet yet close to the busier streets, shops, and restaurants. All of the staff were nice and friendly. Especially Zsolt, who worked at the front desk, and the bartender, Yago (sp?).

My room was a single, so quite small, but was fine for one person. The bed was comfy, and the room darkening curtains were a plus. The bathroom was very nice.
The room could use 2 coat hooks and if the room was rearranged a bit, they could then offer a luggage rack.
I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in a lovely area of Amsterdam. Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but still had many bars and restaurants within steps. After exploring every in of Amsterdam I can say this was the best hotel decision I could have made. Beautiful old decor with great hospitality. From reception to bartender I couldn’t be more happy. As a travel agent, I’ve experienced many hotels — and The Toren truly stands out. The hotel is beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, which made my stay feel extra special. The cocktails were of a high standard, and the breakfast offered a lovely selection to start the day.

Located about a 15-minute walk from the main attractions, it’s perfectly positioned — close enough to explore the city with ease, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet away from the crowds.

Our suite facilities were excellent, featuring a luxurious double shower and a huge bath — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Amsterdam.

I highly recommend The Toren Hotel for anyone looking for comfort, style, and outstanding service at a great rate.

We loved the room, the people and especially the staff.

It was a lovely comfortable place to base ourselves for our 35th wedding anniversary. The team made our room gorgeous with balloons and celebratory fizz. Just what we needed after a walk to the hotel through Storm Amy!


The food in the bar (from Black and Blue) was gorgeous. We took the suggestions from our brilliant barman and the aged Giniver and local blond lager were a clear winner.

We also took the VIP canal tour which was booked for us by the reception team. Fabulous experience all round.

We enjoyed our two nights at the hotel. The bed and large room were great. We really enjoyed having coffee or drinks looking out our large windows to the canal and watching the city wind down at night or wake up in the morning. Everything was Spectacular about the Toren! We arrived & were surprised with upgraded rooms, which were large & beautifully decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Everyone was friendly & helpful. We had the most delicious cocktails & bites in the bar too. The location is perfect, on a quiet canal street but also close to everywhere we wanted to go.
There are lots of steps in the hotel, so ne careful when booking your room if this is an issue for you.
I will definitely stay here when I return!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptional with a large tub and separate shower. There was only one item which we were a little confused about. Maybe it was mentioned in the reservation, but there are actually 2 locations where the rooms are, although they are only a couple of doors apart. We had some heavy luggage, but the staff were more than accommodating in assisting us with them. We will return to The Toren on our next visit to Amsterdam.

I had such a great stay The Pavilions Amsterdam, The Torens. The staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived, which made the whole experience really enjoyable. Love the recommendations for the restaurants nearby.

I’ve got to give a special shoutout to Kevin at the Bar — he was awesome! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really made everyone at the bar feel welcome. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it definitely adds to the overall vibe of the place.

Great place to stay while I'm Amsterdam

Great location and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Located near town center but not so close to be noisy. Room was small and cramped, but bathroom was all new.

Nice part of town

Hotel building was used as a shelter during the war just like the Anne Frank house. Anne Frank house itself is literally around the corner.

The interior decor was quite nice with the bar area looking particularly relaxing.

The reception team were friendly and welcoming.

There are lots of little restaurants and cafes nearby. I ate and the Black & Blie which which was good, also friendly staff.

It’s about a 20 minute walk for both Dam Square and Amsterdam Centraal. I just walked rather than taxi. It was €42 for an Uber to airport if you wanted to go that way, I chose walking and train.

The room itself was quite small, I suspect that is the norm in every hotel in Amsterdam, especially in the older buildings, that was my experience elsewhere too. But it wasn’t really an issue.

Traditional style with excellent service!

From check-in to check-out the whole experience was great. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you when asked.
The building itself is lovely too and the room I had was super. Enjoyed the jacuzzi bath a lot!
