An oasis in the heart of Amsterdam within strolling distance of the popular sites. The hotel exudes a casual chic vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed where it appears both a meeting point for a drink and chat or to bring your laptop for work. Dogs are also welcomed with colourful bowels provided. The lobby is buzzing and the staff welcoming and engaging. There is a functioning photo booth on the premesis separate from the lobby area which attracts a constant stream of admirers. The feel though local is trendy with many retro features. Food offerings are at a sit down restaurant area adjoining the open plan bar area which offers a smaller food menu option. Food is tasty of great quality and well presented. Overall a very pleasant experience with great atmosphere.

Lovely spacious and clean room and very friendly staff. Location was excellent for exploring 9streets and beyond easily. Not totally soundproof room with some disturbance from surrounding rooms if a light sleeper ( i wasn't but partner was) but def one of the quieter hotels I’ve stayed in the city.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Hoxton while in Amsterdam for a quick 24 hour trip. The staff is super friendly and helpful (special shout out to Emmanuel at the front desk!) and the room was perfect - very clean, chic, spacious and quiet. The hotel is also conveniently located right near the picturesque canals which is a huge plus. I highly recommend The Hoxton & will definitely be going back soon!

Phenomenal room, overlooking the canal. We absolutely loved the location and the comfort of the room. The worst part of this hotel is getting a cup of coffee downstairs, almost impossible. You could sit and wait for 45 minutes. Definitely recommend leaving the hotel for any food and drink needs.

Our only issue was the property said on the listing that the rooms are sound proof, but you can hear everything from voices in the hallways and every footstep and creak in the floor boards above. Equivalent to a hostel, uncomfortable size of room
The hotel cost versus accommodation doesn’t really make sense. I understand design and aesthetics and quality but we booked the cosy room which was on average $325/night for 4 nights and the size of the room didn’t even have space for our suitcase, no place to put your belongings, or space to really do anything except sleep. For the price we would expect comfortable not the equivalent to a hostel. There were always so many people in the lobby so you couldn’t really enjoy the only amenity space either. Besides location I don’t think it’s worth staying at and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The staff was overall friendly so not a nod to the people that work there.

This was a nice hotel. We had a canal view room on top which was beautiful. But they kept the ac at 19C which was too hot. They said to keep big heavy curtains closed on the window to help with the heat. But then our view was a big grey wall. Furniture in room was kind of shabby.

The staff was very nice. And the location is great. The rooms are very dark! We were facing the courtyard and there is very little natural light, and a not very bright chandelier. Hard to see if you left anything anywhere.

The Hoxton was in a great location the rooms were clean but the 1st night we were put in a room which was close to a staff through fare and there was a banging door every 3 minutes after speaking with the manager the room was changed for a smaller than booked room they offered to pay for breakfast to make up for this but we were still out of pocket 65 pounds. There were also issues with service for the bar and restaurant with food coming late and seating not available in bar area as the were very busy.

Rooms are small, maybe we should had gotten a bigger room, but rate seems excessive (it went down after we booked it but didn’t realize), and were ready to check out after first night but were told we’d be charged full reservation price. The pillows truly were the fluffiest I have ever had; but even more amazing was the staff!!! They all genuinely wanted to go over and aboard to make us feel like they had unlimited time for us; always smiling and happy!! Hoxton is a well located and comfortable hotel. Staff are very efficient and very friendly. Hotel lobby/bar can be very cold due to automatic continually opening front entrance door and reception area can be super busy with chairs seated all around it. But these are minor points. Overall a great hotel.
