Couldn't be happier with the quality staff and value. Location is a tiny bit or the way but not really a problem as it's a nice walk to the centre and the team stop is outside. Nothing to do in the local area otherwise though. The hotel is great to relax in so it's not a problem if you're there for a retreat

Decent room with a charming location

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I didn’t particularly enjoy the style of decor in the room (a bit sparse and utilitarian— pipes and cut pieces of plywood for shelves) but the lobby and restaurant were charming, as was the little street the hotel is on. Our room was quiet and fairly cool despite no individual AC control. Staff were indifferent to us. No negative interactions, but also not overly pleasant or welcoming. I did have a concern about an issue after our stay and sent a message to management, which was answered promptly and politely. Overall it was a decent stay.

I upgraded to a larger room and it was extremely spacious with a king size bed, sofa, and two comfortable leather chairs. The room was extremely quiet. The hotel itself is on a quiet street off of a main boulevard so it is convenient to getting anywhere in Old Town but you feel like you’re not in the middle of traffic and lots of people. The restaurant provided an outstanding breakfast. Service was excellent all around. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel even with our 6 month old baby. We took the superior double and it had a baby crib ready and was big and spacious. Staff was great. Service was great. Shower is awesome. Breakfast is not that good I wouldn’t take it unless you have to. Perfect location and quiet. Overall I recommend.

Very cozy hotel with large rooms for European standards. No air-conditioning but they do provide a fan. The lighting in the room are all Edison lights and it could be pretty dim at times. Bed is very comfy and staff is very attentive. Very chic and eclectic designs. I highly encourage everyone to opt in for the breakfast. It was honestly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. It's not a buffet, it's a legit restaurant and it's ala carte menu and you can order anything you want. The French toast, the croque madam, the scrambled eggs with feta, and the eggs royale were out of this world. It's in the red light district and very close to everything. Walkable to the Anne Frank museum, centraal train station, different flea markets, the main square with great restaurants. WiFi was strong and reliable. Would highly recommend staying here. Only downside is that they will not refund you for any reason. One person in our party had an aneurysm burst and she was intubated and in the hospital for 3 weeks and they still did not refund her or give her credit for a future visit. But I guess they do mention no refunds. the free water and hot chocolate they give you in the room was delicious.

We stayed 1 week in this hotel we had the suite. It was overall a very pleasant stay. Hotel is nice, comfortable, has all necessary amenities in the rooms. Location is also excellent. Calm area of the red light district but at the same time close to everything. 2 mins from dam square and maximum 20-25min walk from all major attractions in amsterdam. Hotel restaurant was overall pretty good, only constructive comment i can provide is that food quality, despite being good, is inconsistent, we ordered same dishes over the week and it didn't always taste great.
Overall i do recommend this hotel especially if you want to stay in the older parts of the city and explore the nearby areas by foot or bike.

I booked what turned out to be a non-refundable stay. I had to have surgery and had to leave a week later. They wouldn't even allow me to stay other dates. Very disappointing. So I stayed with them only for the last night of my original booking. Unimpressed. Breakfast was very basic, no gym, no useful facilities.

Great experience. Was able to check in quite early as our room was the first cleaned on their list. Very lucky as we just got off a 9 hour flight! The dining area had nice food options at night and the morning breakfast which was included for us was high quality. Really cool boutique feel hotel with a nice low key vibe. It’s perfect.

The shower is amazing and they have robes and slippers! Bed is great, pillows are great, location is great. After a lot of hits and misses on our European trip this hotel gave us back our sanity and some much needed good sleep. Highly recommend, near everything but quiet and tucked into an alley. Missed the breakfast but it sounds great and affordable.

Check in was smooth and efficient. I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. Front desk personnel were warm and welcoming. The room was adequate size but I found it too dark. The soundproofing in this hotel is nonexistent. Noises from the adjoining room and hallway were aggravating. The shower drain had obviously been worked on before my arrival and the drain cover was left off the drain. The shower water valve knob was extremely difficult to turn and would have been impossible for some people to operate. The king sized bed was quite comfortable, but in my opinion a 4 star hotel should include a mini fridge in the room. Overall, I would rate the room itself as merely average. I had breakfast at the hotel and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow despite the fact that very few customers were dining when I was there. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is the location. It is perfectly located just off Dam square with quick access to trams and the metro. I was fortunate to book at a very reasonable rate, but given the usual rate structure I would seek other accommodations if a special was not offered.

Very pleased with our comfort room stay for 4 nights. Was quiet (despite the coinciding Amsterdam Dance Exhibition drawing half a million to the City, bed mattress very comfortable (pillows too thick), great shower and hot water availability (hate the little aluminum tubes with soap shampoo, etc - hard to fully extract, lids fall on the floor), great location for access to city center. There is a clear definition of what constitutes a suite. It is a room with a separate bedroom, a junior suite has a separate seating area and a regular room may have a sidetable and couch. This room was sold as a suite and was in fact a pleasant but perfectly regular room. In addition there was a concerning lack of security at checkin over my Id and personal details, to the extent that I had to refuse to allow copies to be held on an unsecure computer. On a late pm checkin and again on a late morning checkout the corridors and landings around my room were packed with dirty sheets and towels in trolley cages. An unpleasant and offensive smell. An unattended reception desk with the offending unsecured computer terminals meant a long wait to check out. Raising any issues with the manager and reception staff was met with pleasantries and empty apologies. A request for a more substantive response has to date been ignored.

Good well appointed and attractive hotel in a central location, a short walk to Dam square with most of Amsterdam’s city attractions within a 20 minute walking distance radius. Not much in the way of views as it’s in a central area but our room and en-suite were modern, spacious, comfortable and well appointed, towels, robes, slippers, toiletries etc, complimentary water, tea and coffee (nespresso machine) and all the staff were welcoming and helpful and there’s also a nice restaurant (the lobby) within the hotel which was popular. The only negative i can mention is there is no thermostat to control the air conditioning individually in the room as it’s managed centrally throughout the hotel (although you can adjust the radiator). Overall a very good hotel.
