La ubicación del hotel es excelente. El personal muy amable. El desayuno es variado. La habitación fue espaciosa pero al dar a la calle era muy ruidosa. Como gentileza el hotel nos dejó tapones para los oídos, pero no minimizaron el ruido.

I am very disappointed with this hotel and how hotels.com handled our situation. while we were there for three nights the staff was very rude especially the morning we were checking out. I simply asked if I could have a breakfast refunded because we were leaving at 5:45 AM and he laughed and said no. I then started to tell him that the stay was horrible and the room was dirty the walls were dirty the bathroom was not clean. We had people coming in and cleaning the room and left there dirty blue rubber gloves on the counter. The only cleaning they did was coming in and folding the blankets on the bed. No one refreshed the towels I had to go to the front desk and ask for new towels. A fan was broke in the room and I ask if I could get a replacement because there was no air conditioning in the room and the front desk attendant argued with me before giving me a new fan. There is no air conditioning by the way.This was horrible. At check out this morning I tried to tell my concerns to the front desk guy and he just keep telling me he did not care. This was a horrible experience for my family and I visiting a country we have never been too before. And to top it all off hotels.com didn’t even care to help us when I contacted them about what was going on they simply told me I would have to work it out with the hotel management.

Great Hotel in a perfect location. Easy walk to mass transit and most of the major sites. Nice European breakfast. Can be a bit noisy. Staff were super nice and professional, especially Chris(?) from Peru. I would go back anytime!

The hotel was perfect for our needs as a place to relax and sleep after a day of sightseeing. It was clean, basic, air-conditioned, and very well situated. The decor needs an uplift however. The staff was superb! They gave fantastic suggestions for restaurants and they were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast offered a variety of food to meet any guest's preferences. I would stay there again.

I booked this hotel for our 2 weeks stay in Amsterdam. It is centrally located, but I would not stay here nor recommend the place.
#1 - The ponly plus point I can say it is centrally located and walking distance to Amsterdam Central Station.
#2 - The Hotel is so dated and not well maintained. ...the lobby, the elevator, the carpet.
#3- The amenities are very basic... we stayed for 15 days, and only provided us toiletries once or twice. I have my own toiletries, but something like facial tissue, shower cap etc, I have to ask the front desk. I never been to a hotel that you have to ask for toiletries.
#4 - Our room was spacious enough, but do not have place to put our clothes.
#5 - THe room has telephone unit tBUT no dialtone , which we found it really funny.
#6 - We feel like we were walking in a dark alley and afraid to get 'mugged' walking from the elevator to our room. The hallways are really dark, and carpet, like what I mentioned before are very old.
Overall , we regret booking this place for our long stay in Amsterdam. Do not believe the pictures posted online. Better in picture but not in person.

Hotel Rho was a great base for our city‑break trip. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of everything, with easy access to bars, restaurants, and all the main sights. We stayed in a three‑person room, which was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for our needs since we were out exploring most of the day and night. It gave us exactly what we needed: a solid place to crash and recharge.
The breakfast buffet was a really nice surprise and great value. Plenty of options, fresh food, and a relaxed setup that made it easy to fuel up before heading out again.
Overall, Hotel Rho delivered exactly what we were looking for: a clean, well‑located, good‑value spot for a fun weekend in Amsterdam.

Paid for the Superior Room and asked for early check-in was not the case last room to be ready after normal check-in time not happy in addition we were on second floor and sounded like a herd of elephants above very thin ceiling tile. Would have liked if breakfast was not the same food everyday especially since we paid for it, free coffee would have been nice in the lobby, air conditioner fan ran constantly, and lastly beware the hot water was very touchy as it was well beyond a normal temperature easily could have been burned.

Our stay in this hotel has been really good. Its location, steps away from the Central Square and one block from one of the main Subway stations, is perfect. The hotel is also about 10 blocks away from Amsterdam \"Centraal\" train station which has direct service from and to the airport as well as many locations surrounding Amsterdam like Zaanse Schans to see four wonderful windmills on you own. The room was clean although in need of more places to accommodate luggage and personal stuff. They have a nice breakfast buffet and WiFi service. Hotel staff was very nice.

Good location and wonderful staff. We were glad to have a lift, as many hotels in the city do not. The hotel is outdated, but we only kept our things and slept there. The staff were very helpful, and a small convenience: coffee and reasonably priced vending machines where any other store is double for same items. We never ate breakfast there, but it smelled wonderful and price is good for the area.

Staff was amazing. Everyone we interacted with greeted us with a smile. Breakfast is one of the best continental breakfast I had lots of options. Check in was great, we came super early the guy checked on the rooms and was able to give us an early check-in. The hotel is in a hopping area so yes it was loud however not much the hotel can do regarding the sirens, alarms, and noise outside. I felt safe walking around the hotel. Overall if your looking for a place with a convenient location, great staff, and clean(a little outdated) this place is for you.

Hotel was clean but old. Few plug ins in room, one window with view of rooftops, super small tv, internet worked, but overall an underwhelming experience for the price. Best thing was location. Centre odd old Amsterdam and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, Staff was helpful. In hotel breakfast was not utilized but seemed expensive and lots of bakeries minutes away.

Ideally positioned in the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel is fairly basic, but clean and the beds are fine. A good buffet breakfast is available in the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants nearby for other meals.

I left a piece of clothing hanging in the wardrobe, not realising until I returned to the UK. I phoned reception and the staff were very helpful in organising its speedy return.

I stayed in a single room, meaning a twin bed. And it was pretty good. It was generally clean just old. Old carpet. Old paint etc. But clean. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The price was pretty great for actually getting a private room compared to a hostel or cube. The bed was actually surprisingly comfortable. The AC worked great. Really good location. Would totally stay again.

Centrally located from Central Station, by Dam Square and the palace. Ride the subway to Rokin exit rather than drag suitcases a mile from central station.
Staff was wonderful and very welcoming. Breakfast was same everyday, but very good.
We walked our feet off but the hotel is located near pubs and great restaurants.

We arrived early in the morning and were able to store our luggage before check in. We did have to pay city tax that wasn't included in the Expedia pre-paid price (just a heads up) but no deposit/ card hold like most American hotels. The hotel & room were exactly as pictured and met our needs. The breakfast was very good. The building is older and seems to be a few buildings joined together, so is not ADA friendly. There was a very small elevator to access our part of the building & once on our floor, to access our room, there were 2 steps up due to a level change. This wasn't a problem for us, just a consideration for other travelers. I had to take a star off for the stay and the cleanliness due to an issue with cigarette smoke coming into our room on multiple days. Unclear if it was coming from staff or other visitors. Unclear if the entire building is meant to be non-smoking, or if just our room was. When we called the front desk the first time we noticed it (and the worst time it happened), they suggested it was coming from the street but we were on the 4th floor & was most noticeable from the bathroom or innermost part of the building. Luckily it seemed to only happen in spurts during the middle of the day & it was warm enough that we could open the window to let the room air out. There were times the room felt stuffy and the temperature controls were completely unresponsive, so our only option was to open the window.

This hotel has a great location within walking distance to much of what I wanted to see. Most importantly, I could walk to the central train station to catch trains to other countries. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. I wouldn't call the breakfast fabulous, but it is certainly well done and met my needs nicely. I was upgraded from a single to a double, and, unfortunately, even the double is pretty small. Two tiny beds in a very small room. The bathroom is functional, but that's the best I can say about it. One of the nicest things was that I could open the windows. I was there in April, and the heat was on, so the fresh air helped a lot. Rooms were cleaned daily without even asking. Very quiet. Only one elevator, which did not turn out to be a problem for me. I'm glad I made this choice, rather than the other options I had in mind, primarily because of the location.

The room was quite old and not very well maintained with stains on the walls, ceilings and carpets. I wasn’t expecting it to be perfect but definitely could do something about the stains. It is a good location, staff are great and helpful, the breakfast is decent and has a good variety. The lobby is the best feature of the hotel. The air conditioning appears to be centrally controlled and was turned off making the room quite hot and relied on a single window to cool things down which it didn’t until later at night. The stay was fine, bed was comfortable and I chose not to get daily cleaning as there were enough towels for my stay.

The hotel is located in a perfectly location, easily walk to major city attraction of Amsterdam. The inside room is relatively small and old. The bathroom is small with a very small sink, the shower room is also very small. Otherwise, still good for the price.

If you just want to walk around the Amsterdam city centre, and maybe need to go back to the hotel anytime during your travel. It's a good choice. Not good for the people need luxurious. Not good for the family with small kids.

for the people with knee issues recommend to ask at the time of chk in for no steps room cuz some of the floors you have to take five steps with your luggage cuz there is no bell boy service available, make sure about the bathroom is not smelly , you get the room service but no changes of towels and no bed making, have to ask for. breakfast was okay air conditioning thermostat was fixed at the colder side not coming down so we have to turn it off

The Front Desk folks were super, esp NADIA who went over and above to make sure that me with my arthritis and neuropathy problems was able to get around and helped get me with help to the Train Station and Disabilities Folks for train to Paris!!!

This hotel is an older property. You can’t beat the location, and that’s the main allure. As an older hotel, there are few outlets and none by the bed. There’s also no in room coffee service or free coffee other than at the breakfast buffet.

The hotel doesn’t have great sound proofing, but does provide ear plugs. The other oddity is that as many European hotels, they have single beds pushed together. The Rho hotel doesn’t use any straps or even a single sheet, causing you to fall between the beds if not careful!

But you absolutely cannot beat the location!

Negatives: hotel is outdated and rooms are very modest. Positives: rooms are reasonably clean, excellent location and excellent breakfast. Overall, great value for the money and highly recommended if you just need a convenient place to sleep and convenient great breakfast before you head out for the day. 15 minute walk to Anne Frank’s museum and the heart of canal belt/ Jordaan, 15 minute walk to Centraal train station (trains to airport, to nearby windmill village, etc.), less than 10 min walk to the red light district.

Wonderful 3 star hotel right at bustling Dam Square. The area is so convenient; trams, Central Station, shops, pedestrian streets, etc. My twin room was large and quiet. Front desk staff: Christian and Francesco were so helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at RHO were great! They answered any questions I had and they were very nice folks. For the most part the room I had was clean. There were some marks on the walls that could have been cleaned up, but thats just me nit picking. The sheets and comforters were cleaned very well along with all of the towels. The breakfast they serve there is decent. I only ate it once and after that I decided to go out in town to find breakfast. (Not that the food was bad, I just didnt want to eat bacon, sausage, eggs and toast every morning. They had other items like fresh fruit, juices, cereals, milk and baked good, but those things aren't what I would normally eat for breakfast). The rooms heating/air conditioning worked very well. Plus there was a window that could be opened. There is no smoking allowed in the rooms, which was fine with me because, 1 I dont smoke cigarettes or any tobacco and 2 I only smoke weed and it was no big deal to just go outside and smoke it. Not only that but if they find out that you have been smoking in your room, they tac on an extra fee. That is completely understandable and fair. Not everyone that goes to Amsterdam is there to smoke weed or smokes tobacco.

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was perfect for a quick breakfast and then out the door exploring. Location was amazing. We were incredibly surprised that we could not hear any sounds from outdoors (despite being right downtown) from our room. The only downside is the walls were paper thin - I could hear snoring from the room next to us, and a group of people talking through the walls into the very early morning .

You couldn't ask for a better location its an easy walk to either Centraal or the Rijksmuseum, wonderful location to stroll from for sightseeing or people watching. I saw that people had complained about noise but we didn't notice an issue and the hotel offered ear plugs in case. The wifi was reasonable and there is a great (but not included) breakfast in the hotel. If we return to amsterdam we will no question be staying here again, seriously could not recommend it enough.

Cerca de todo, área segura, si vienes en tren desde el aeropuerto queda caminando bastante cerca, muchos restaurantes y tiendas cercas y a pocos minutos de las áreas más famosas. En fin muy buena opción de calidad versus precio

Internet was horrible. Do not use Expedia for international travel. They dont accept phone calls and every email you send takes 48 hours to get a response. Not worth the change you save or the convenience in any way

Not a great place to stay. It served the purpose of laying your head down but there was nothing great or enticing about the site. There was also nothing to watch on the tiny TV.

The room was clean and quite a bit bigger than expected. The only issue would be the taps in bathroom really hard to find that sweet spot for temperature. Breakfast was pretty plentiful.
