Room was clean and spacious, however very noisy as we were underneath the reception/bar, and next to our room was the shared toilet and shower for guests who didn't have one in their room. The doors were slamming shut loudly every time used. Definitely needed earplugs but i find them uncomfortable to sleep with

Really enjoyed my stay here. It’s definitely more bare-bones, but super cute and they fully commit to the backstage theme, which I liked. I was barely in the room anyway, so it worked great for me.
Just a heads up: the bathroom and shower are shared, but you do have a private sink in the room, plus towels, which made it easy. The location was the biggest win for me — very walkable and close to everything I wanted.
The staff were really friendly and super nice, and they made the stay feel really welcoming.

The rooms were very clean, someone came and changed the towels everyday too so we never had to ask. There was a tea and coffee machine that was always available too which was an additional bonus. Staff were very friendly and super helpful, we had a full itinerary for our trip but the staff did say if we ever needed any recommendations or advice to just ask, which was nice. It was a great location for staying in Amsterdam, it was close to tram and bus stops if you needed that but also walking distance if you just wanted to stroll down further central. Some additional advice/warning: when the nice person on reception asks if you want help with getting your bags to the room you should absolutely say yes, we said we’d be fine, fully underestimating how steep and how many stairs there were, and then made it to the 2nd floor and room keeping saw our struggle and kindly helped us the rest of the way!

The room was clean and met our expectations. We did not spend a lot of time in the room as we were exploring daily. 10-15 minute walk to the main areas. Stairs could be a challenge for some. We are 55 and 60 years old and made it up to 4th level with our bags. Staff was very friendly and happy to provide assistance.

Staff was very nice and helpful, they even give you a welcome card and complimentary drink. Location is just about close to everything you want to see. Love the Rock and Roll theme gives the place a bit of personality without being tacky. Only complaint about the room is the TV is a bit old.

The main advantage is location - most attractions are within walking distance. Sadly, this is the only advantage of this hotel. Our room was in the basement, next to 2 public bathrooms and a shower. It is incredibly loud due to the street noise and people using bathroom all night long. The walls are very thin. The couple right next to us was engaging in intimate relations 2-3 times a day with energy suitable for porn actors. I had to keep TV on and knock on their door at night to avoid feeling like I was a participant in their romantic adventures. Iwas on vacation with my 13 yo daughter and it was a horrifying experience. Would not recommend to any travelers with children.

We had to tote nine bags up 5 inch wide stairs that narrowed never told about that, no lift-elevator, no ac, unaware that three roads under construction couldn’t get to our hotel, had to drag bags in from long distance, no parking. This is a really cool hotel located in the center of the city in the historic area. Easy ride to and from Amsterdam Central train station and conveniently located. Walkable to every place you can imagine in the historic district of Amsterdam. The room was clean and on the larger side, however it had a weird shape, this made it challenging to get around. We were in the 3rd floor ( equivalent to 4th floor in the US) and the stairs were a killer. Very steep and dangerous looking if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. Also pack light if you plan to stay with them.
There is no AC in the building, Amsterdam weather was mild during our visit, but one day got to mid 70 and the room was hot, you could not open the window all the way so this made air trapped in the room and this contributed to the problem.

I didn’t realize until they “reminded” me two days prior to check-in that I had booked a room with shared bathroom. Tiny sink and mirror in my room. Toilet was a few doors away on my floor. This was a unique stay for us. It was beautifully decorated. There is no elevators at this hotel, and it goes up to four stories, so travel light. I will start with the good. The staff I dealt with were all very personable. The theming was great. Now, I paid extra to get a private room. I shouldnt of have. The walls and door are thinner than paper. I could literally hesr the peoples conversations next door clearly. The staircase up and down the first floor is dangerous. I slipped twice because the stairs are so small. I ended ul booking another hotel just so Icould sleep at night due tonexcessive noise from other guests

No lift! If you have any mobility issues please note that the stairs are winding. Other than that, the room we were in was similar to the size of a cruise ship twin room (2 beds). The customer service was good and the staff were helpful and would even look up bus times, etc. The location was close enough to walk to most attractions or to catch a bus or train. I knew it was going to be small, with no ensuite, possible loud street noise, and a vicious set of stairs, so I came mentally prepared. And while these things were true, it really wasn't bad. (Though if you havve *any* mobility issues, pick some where else.) The street noise wasn't that bad, I even kept my window open all night (which did let in some smoke, as I was above the doorway). The staff was just so sweet, at check-in, breakfast (even though I slept in terribly), and at checkout. Location is grand, and bed was pretty comfy. Would absolutely stay again on a short trip!
