Honestly I wouldn't stay here again. The place is impressive for a 'hostel'. They provided towels, and the pods are great especially if you don't want to speak to the other people sleeping and are on a budget. They are comfortable, was warm during the night.

This place was a little further than I had hoped from the area where I wanted to visit the most. It was an easy Uber ride two and from downtown. I would definitely stay there again because it was beautiful way more than what I expected. I had a single room very small, but had everything I needed. Decor was very nice.

This is a hostel at best, but without hostel amenities (laundry, kitchen, fridge etc). I booked a private room with windows, the layout of the room isn’t ideal. The bathroom in particular needs more counter space. It smelled bad in the halls/my room. There is also no way to control temperature in rooms, and the heating was on quite high. The front desk suggested I just turn on the AC unit in my room (apparently one of the few with these?) and that seemed so wasteful I just kept opening the window. The restaurant stops serving food at 10pm, not very convenient for travellers arriving late. Neighbourhood is very residential but you can find restaurants and bars. Transit to the central station is quick. Overall this wasn’t worth the money spent.

Everything, there are no descriptive words in any language to paint any sort of image of this place as there’s SO much. Ask for a tour, or just wander is my one encouraging piece of advice. The history, the vibes, it’s a true ethereal experience more than a hotel/hostel holiday stay. Healing as well, in many ways.

Also don’t stay with your romantic partner unless you’re very comfortable using the toilet in front of them as there is no real privacy

This hotel is convenient and easy to access. Easy walk to the metro or the ferry. Near by neighborhoods are in transition and several excellent dining options are close by. But don’t feel like you need to venture out. Hotel restaurant offers fantastic options and our experience with the diverse staff was second to none. Whatever language you speak someone here can help you out. We would be hard pressed to consider a different option on our return.

Very strange. I basically lived from my backpack on the floor. Could be better. The food was good downstairs. It seemed like locals were eating there which is a good sign.

What can I say, me and Bunksy (my Bunk teddy) are back in Yorkshire wanting to come back again! From the friendly Dino greeting you to an imaginative use of the building. A wonderful building with friendly and approachable staff.
A 15 minute pleasent walk from the ferry, feels very safe despite my flight being delayed and walking to the hotel in the dark.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at BUNK hostel. We had dinner there and made use of the bar - the food and service was amazing. The toilets and shower were clean and we had no issues with noise/other guests. The only minor issue we had was finding the bunk a bit too warm and there is no air conditioning/fans. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

This was a delightful find. If you're into hostels, you'll find it a treat because your bunk is private. If you haven't experienced one, well, you should give Bunk a try. Great amenities, clean, engaging staff. Loved it.

This place has a distinct \"hostel\" vibe, and a primarily 20-something clientele. As a middle-aged person I felt a bit out of place. However, it's clean, the staff are professional and friendly, and the facilities are cute. Great breakfast and bar, too! Be aware that some of the pods (odd numbers) are accessed via a small ladder, like a bunk bed. I am a spry 50-year-old, but I have to admit it was a bit tricky to get in and out. There is also only a curtain to provide privacy. I was concerned about safety (I move a lot when I sleep) so if that's you as well, I suggest requesting a bottom pod. (I actually asked to be moved, and they put me in a private room

awesome place with great onsite restaurant that i ended up having 3 breakfasts and 4 dinners over 6 nights. they did an amazing job converting a church into a hotel. rooms were very compact but intelligently designed that didn’t feel cramped. quiet neighborhood that isn’t too far from public transportation. bicycles available for rent.

Good atmosphere. Unique building and style. Restaurant was tasty, if a bit expensive. Very nice burger and chips. Showers and toilets good. Bunk bed was comfortable for me (5ft 8), maybe less if you're over 6 ft. Friendly staff. Nice area, quite close to the north park and nice canal to walk by. Easy ferry (free) to get to Amsterdam central station. Storage under bed was fine. Only downside, if the bunk above you has someone snoring, that can be annoying.

Killer concept and it was fun to explore the hotel and find little easter eggs hidden everywhere. The fact it's in a repurposed church was really cool to me. Lounge area was really nice. Attached restaurant was a bit pricey. Hard to climb up to the second level of capsules though. Accidentally fell once while climbing the ladder.

Lovely hotel with a mix of capsule pod type hotel rooms and conventional rooms in an old converted church. The hotel is located in a more quiet neighbourhood yet is one Metro stop away from the central station. It also has a restaurant right inside or there is a grocery store within walking distance with some good options. I will absolutely consider staying here again.

After 14 trips to Amsterdam collectively between my partner & I, we finally found The Bunk Hotel and we plan to return every single time we go back to Amsterdam. It was cool & quirky, showcasing incedibly talented, local artists. Not to mention, the art behind building a modern hotel within a beautiful, old church that was just incredible in itself. The food's & drinks were delicious and always came out quickly - we are definitely going to pre-book breakfast for everyday we stay next time as it saves a little money. We weren't sure about doing it to start with as we weren't sure if we would like the food but it's honestly amazing and a lot of love goes into their food and customer care. Their interior design is so thoughtful, it would have been nice to have a recycling bin in the hotel room but there was some by the elevators so not far. Finally, onto the lovely team of staff! Every single person who we came into contact with was cool, friendly, caring & hospitable. We really appreciated their level of passion and care. There is currently building work happening opposite the hotel but this wasn't distressful at all and we couldn't hear it at all once in the hotel & is it course no negative reflection on BUNK. We have been back in our home country of England less than 24 hours and already looking forward to our return trip! A HUGE thank you again to the guys at BUNK hotel, for making our holiday even more special :-) - Hannah & Canna x

We stayed 2 nights only so didn't have time to check out around this place. I can say quiet in a way that it's away from the city hustle and bustle. However, it's not really quiet inside. You can hear noises from outside your room.

The distance from the city is walkable if you still have much energy after walking all day. It's about 15 minutes walk from the boat depot. There's a bus but we didn't try.

The whole property was so unique! Every turn made me smile with it's creativity. The epic room was perfect for me (solo traveller). Bed was super comfortable. While the stand up shower space was small, it had endless hot water with fantastic pressure. It was a great space to relax in after full days of walking and exploring. 24/7 concierge, SO affordable, all staff from bar to check in were amazing and the friendliest we had met since the start of our 5 week Europe trip. We actually decided to stay in Amsterdam another night because we were so impressed with Bunk.
Our basic room was all we needed for 3 nights - yes smaller than the average private room, but bed was very comfy, had all the amenities and was SUPER sound proof.
Location is just amazing. A ferry from Centraal and a 20 minute walk through the prettiest streets and walking track also made our stay in Amsterdam memorable. A ferry back and a quick 5 minute walk towards Dam made sight seeing and adventuring so easy.
Would love to see more Bunks pop up around the world!
24/7 concierge, SO affordable, all staff from bar to check in were amazing and the friendliest we had met since the start of our 5 week Europe trip. We actually decided to stay in Amsterdam another night because we were so impressed with Bunk.
Our basic room was all we needed for 3 nights - yes smaller than the average private room, but bed was very comfy, had all the amenities and was SUPER sound proof.
Location is just amazing. A ferry from Centraal and a 20 minute walk through the prettiest streets and walking track also made our stay in Amsterdam memorable. A ferry back and a quick 5 minute walk towards Dam made sight seeing and adventuring so easy.
Would love to see more Bunks pop up around the world!

I really liked the smaller 'pod' room which was a little cheaper than their standard rooms but more private than shared accommodation. It had everything I needed English channels like Comedy Central and THC on the TV which was appreciated! Despite the small size of the room it didn't feel cramped, more cosy, and was perfect for my solo stay. Check-in was easy and staff were very helpful/friendly. The building itself is also lovely and very nicely decorated inside - warm and approachable! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

We loved this property for its amazing breakfast; on till 4 pm , great choices and affordability. The bike rental option on site was perfect and the best way to tour Amsterdam. Although the room was very small for 3 adults it was clean and comfortable. Extra towels were provided upon request . Our stay was amazing and all staff were helpful and seemed to love their jobs . We had a wonderful time at the bunk. It was a great funky place with very welcoming staff. There were a couple of craft breweries within walking distance that were excellent and it was incredibly easy to get into the central of Amsterdam via the metro.
We stayed in one of the pod rooms, it was very quiet and clean. We slept great but the mattress was on the firmer side for those who prefer softer mattresses!
We were able to hire bicycles from the hotel directly and it was so easy and safe.
We will absolutely be booking this place again on our next visit to Amsterdam.
