Great base for Impro Amsterdam

A really excellent base to visit the Impro festival, just a short bus ride from all the venues and the same to get back into the centre of town.

I had a lovely big room overlooking the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also very quiet which led to a very peaceful stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place is very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. I was experiencing a severe headache during my stay, and they consistently checked in to ensure I was okay. Their care and kindness made me feel truly valued. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for great service and a welcoming atmosphere.

The free shuttle service is the deal breaker, if you do not want to be in the middle of it all then this hotel is perfectly located, a 5 minute shuttle ride to the free ferry getting you to central station in 10 minutes.

False Advertisements All Around

Don’t book this hotel if youre going to rely on the shuttle service. They advertised on their website that the shuttle picks up/drops off at Central Station and runs continuously. Upon arrival, we were told we had to take the ferry across the river and also call to request the driver. The driver took over 15 minutes usually to come, even though the hotel is a 6 minute drive away from the pick up point. This slowness caused us to miss our train to Germany on our last day in Amsterdam.

The hotel also advertises 24/7 room service and this is also false. When we attempted to order room service, we were told the kitchen was closed.

The rooms were comfortable but we will not stay here again due to the false advertisement.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, the surrounding area very nice and taking the free ferry, one is in a few minutes in Amsterdam Central. Take one of the rented bikes to ride to the ferry 5 minutes and 5 minutes the ferry to down-town. I will come back to this Hotel.

Everyone at the hotel was very friendly. They went out of their way to make my husband feel special on his birthday which was during our stay there. They are also very kid friendly. The AC actually works and they have an ice machine which both are rare things in Europe. They are close to multiple restaurants plus have a restaurant at the hotel.

Polite and efficient staff. Stylish and comfortable rooms (also a bit small). Breakfast buffet is overpriced but room service is good. I was able to walk to the ferry and to the old city to take a canal tour but it might be too far for people who don't walk much. Otherwise there are some good dining options nearby. There is a great local market nearby on Saturdays.

Comfortable place to stay

Visiting Amsterdam and surrounding area. The hotel needs updating but the location makes it easy for parking and proximity to get into Amsterdam via the ferry or shuttle. Nearby area has some restaurants and grocery store. Much cheaper than staying in Amsterdam so we have stayed here twice over the last year when visiting Amsterdam.

Great stay overall. The room was pretty spacious, quiet and super clean. The staff is extremely friendly. We made a reservation through Hotels.com but it wasn’t in the system when we checked in however the check in desk person took care of it right away. The shuttle in to town is extremely convenient. The neighborhood was fine... I couldn’t put my finger on it but it may have been a bit more modest considering all the security the hotel has.

Absolutely loved our time at this hotel! All staff were very helpful and friendly. When checking in we were given options for the room and chose one on the 5th floor (to limit street noise) which turned out to be with the best bed ever! Huge and comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, had everything needed. It's convenient to explore the city with the free shuttle, or 10 min walk away from a metro stop, or 20 min walk to the ferry stop (which takes 2 min to the train station).
Recommend this place and would stay here again.

We found our home away from home at the NH Amsterdam Noord! The hotel was very accommodating, comfortable, and provided all of the necessities we required. Since we were driving this trip, we need a hotel with a car park and preferably at no additional charge. The NH had an ample sized lot with plenty of spaces. The minor disadvantage was that it was across the Het IJ from the center of town, but there is a free shuttle that leaves every 15 minutes to take you to Amsterdam Centraal, which was prompt and very easy. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. The closet and storage area with fridge was extremely helpful. The staff offered prompt and friendly assistance when requested and we’re always very nice to us. We will always stay here on our trips going forward.

Add a 100 square feet and it's a great hotel

Very nice and clean, staff extremely nice and very helpful. Location outside of busy center with great shuttle service to Central Station. BUT room size described was probably 70% of what expected, very hard for two adults to move around (perhaps they counted the balcony in the size ? that would be a misrepresentation). Also bathroom extremely tight. Overall size could be considered a matchbox. I guess good enough for overnight stay for the many Delta Air crews, they are used to very tight spaces.

We chose this hotel because we were driving and needed a hotel in Amsterdam with parking. The hotel is to the north of the city and has a secure car park. The hotel provides a free minibus service to their sister hotel in Amsterdam central or to the free ferry which goes to Amsterdam central. The minibus leaves every 15 minutes and is a very good service. It runs until midnight. The hotel itself is a typical city hotel, room was comfortable and a good size but the bathroom was tiny.

Nice hotel close to city centre. Hotel provides free shuttle bus to city (approx 10mins) every 15-20mins throughout day. Staff kindly upgraded our room as it was my birthday which was very nice. Breakfast very good with hot & cold options. Generally good decor however lift / lift area on right hand side of building could have done with a makeover but other than that a nice break away.

Very nice location and easy solution if you are driving to the city. The surrounding area was a nice quiet break from the busy city. We walked to the ferry which runs all the time which was an easy 15 Minute walk. The other times we took the shuttle which was convient and available most of the time. The hotel room was nice,clean, and quiet for getting some rest.

Okay, but don't think I'd go there again.

The room was nice and the staff were friendly (with the exception if the breakfast guy who was fairly surly). The breakfast itself was extremely disappointing and the bar closed at 11pm on the Saturday evening which we thought was a little odd. The area was handy as we were able to walk to the ferry and get into central Amsterdam very easily. We had chosen this hotel over the Hilton because of the free parking and whilst most of the stay was okay, I don't know if we would make the same choice again. The general cleanliness of the hotel was lacking in areas, for example, someone spilled something in the lift the and it was still there two days later.

From the outset, the staff were very helpful, I got all of the tours booked through the hotel. my room was spacious and the bed comfy. The hotel food was reasonably priced, had 3 meals there, the bar is like an old English style pub, I almost forgot I was in a 4 star hotel, a reliable bus shuttle service to the sister hotel in the city centre. I really rated this place and already made my mind up to go again next year and will most definitely stay here again. Nice little shopping area across the road to the hotel, good supermarket to bring back a few goodies, some nice looking eateries too, there was a local market on the Friday, awesome trip

Hotel located in great possition, close to amsterdam central station, free shuttle bus will take You to small ferry which take you to centre of amsterdam out of charge as well. Massive rooms, with triple king size bed, nice bathroom and separate room for your clothes with fridge. Crew very polite, will explain new tourists how, where and what You can see in amsterdam. Clean and convenient for the city.

When we arrived, we were allocated a spacious room with plenty of storage and hanging space, but the toilet seat was broken and couldn't be repaired, so we had to move to a much smaller room, with no drawers and limited hanging space. We ended up having to put our suitcase on the ironing board and keep our clothes in it. The chairs were more about style than comfort, though the bed was very comfortable. There was a good sized fridge and a nice bathroom. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean, towels changed daily, even though we hung them up to reuse. The real bonus was the shuttle bus to the city, which runs every 15mins.

Across the river from main city centre this hotel is still convenient for a city break. Despite the tunnel being closed whilst we were there the hotel provided a shuttle bus to the non stop ferries that crossed to the main station 24 hours a day (normally it shuttles direct to city centre)....an added experience of Amsterdam. Excellent hotel with free parking. American Airlines rate it highly enough to accommodate their airline staff who are constantly shuttled to and from the airport. Recommended, stay and enjoy.

The room was spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable. My expectations were met and then some. Location was perfect in the more quiet northern part of the city, still close to the ferry but lovely and quiet for sleeping at night. We had a great time and I will return to this hotel again soon!

Quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle of busy city yet only 15 mins away from it all. Good size clean room and bathroom with separate WC. Comfortable bed. There is a good size refrigerator, no bar but some drinks available at the reception. No bottle of water in the room, too tired to go back down from 6th floor to the reception to ask. Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment. 10/15 minutes walk to ferry port across the central station and 20 mins free shuttle to Rembrandt plein. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Myself and my partner stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel staff were so welcoming and accommodating!
The room was lovely and clean with amenities being replaced daily.
The hotel staff (all) were very helpful in giving directions, they explained about the free shuttle bus and also the free ferry to the city centre. - Shuttle bus took all of 15 minutes, the ferry is a 15 walk and a 2 minute ferry, all very regular.

Hotel is located in a quiet suburb of Amsterdam, but in walking distance from the Central Station (1km/15-20 minutes walk).
The Hotel has a bar/pub that serves meals that you can have in either the pub itself or in a small dining area just beside the pub. Our room was very spacious and split in a sleeping area with wide screen television (international channels including BBC1, BBC2 and BBC World service) and an office area with coffemaker, kettle, digital safe. Staff was utmost helpful and informative about sight seeing and transport (the hotel has a shuttle service to Amsterdam Center if you are not the walking kind)

Clean hotel but very out the way but the shuttle service is good and ran on time apart from once and stops in a good location the shower was Amazing nice and hot and very powerful but pillows uncomfortable but overall a nice stay

Holiday for two

This was me and my partners first stay in this hotel chain and in Amsterdam and we were very impressed with the service. The hotel is a little north or central Amsterdam so the hotel offer a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes to and from a sister hotel in the centre which we found to be very useful! The room was well kept and the hotel offered room service everyday where they topped up your complimentary tea and coffee and towels. Overall a fantastic stay, loved this hotel!

Surprisingly

We didn't get a warm welcome when entering the hotel due to being told we were not getting breakfast in the morning but we were adamant it was on our package, they refused to believe us and we didn't have proof on us to show that was all we had contact from the hotel.The room was beautiful though very clean and was cleaned perfectly after a day out on Saturday we had no hot water Sunday morning though which led to a cold bath they didn't seemed bothered when we checked out Sunday morning

Spacious rooms and good staff and facilities

This hotel is a short ride out from the centre in the Noord side of the city. However the large rooms, helpful staff and general feeling of space made it a great place to stay.

Quiet area but close to the hustle and bustle

I stayed for a weekend and had a really enjoyable time. The hotel was lovely, clean, friendly and very close to the main part of the centre, accessible by the free shuttle bus the hotel offers which is extremely convenient! And also the free ferry ride across the river which was also very very quick and bought us right behind the station.
