Rooms were great, breakfast was good. I was harassed on the way out to pay the city tax which had already been paid on check in and the staff member just wouldn't listen to me. I ended up walking out of the hotel with the staff member threatening me.

Things happen it seems when traveling, around holidays, etc, and I unfortunately hurt my foot thus needing to extend my stay in this city. I have worked the front desk of an elite resort, and I can’t say enough about the experience of my outstanding check in with Lara to start, who tended to me out of true hospitality, generosity, and love, after an already grueling day no doubt, AMAZING, to then be seated and greeted by Sumit at the lounge, this place is 10/10. Love it, thanks guys!

My stay was most enjoyable. Two staff members stick out: Jackie in the breakfast area is one. She was very friendly and gave me valuable advice about places of interest after finding out that this was my first time in Amsterdam and what I was looking for. The second person was Mr. Olumude Olowolafe at the check in counter. Very professional and provided me with transportation options and how to get around Amsterdam. He also was very friend and personable. I've worked in the customer service field for 20 years and these two individuals are people needed on the front line of an organization to show the best the company has to offer.

Staff were excellent but housekeeping need a list to follow of what is needed, Shower half wall produced water on floor with no bath mat to mop up. Coffee supplies not restocked.
Breakfast excellent (best experienced) Front desk folk excellent and overall great. When request for hopusekeeping, prompt. Had to collect towels from front desk. Staffing issues??

Good hotel, which needs some improvements.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Matteo at check-in was outstanding – very friendly, professional, and always ready with useful information throughout my stay. Most of the staff were also welcoming and smiling, both at reception and in the breakfast/bar area, which created a pleasant atmosphere. The room was spacious, with beautiful design, perfect lighting, excellent soundproofing, efficient air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. I also appreciated how pet-friendly the hotel is, with an excellent kit provided for my dogs. The location is very convenient, with several restaurants, supermarkets, bus stops, and metro/ferry connections to the city center within 1–1.5 km. I really liked the lobby and the small shop at the entrance.

On the downside, the carpet had many stains that made it look older than it is, I found some hair in the toilet, and I missed having a minibar. I also think the wooden outdoor tables look a bit out of place compared to the otherwise modern and elegant décor of the hotel, almost like camping furniture. Finally, service at those tables was very slow – after waiting 45 minutes one evening, I decided to leave.

Overall, a very good experience with only a few details to improve, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for its comfort, design, location, and friendly staff.

I liked how convenient it is to travel to Amsterdam Centraal Station from the hotel with the metro, as well as the option to rent bicycles (although I did not use it as I can't navigate the city well yet without my phone). The staff and services were helpful and friendly. Only gripe is the area outside of the hotel which can be too quiet and dark to see properly sometimes, however it is still safe and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We came in rather early in around 11:30 in morning and were very tired from the time change. We just wanted to check in and rest however we couldn’t check in till almost a half an hour after the check in start time. It took all day for them to finish preparing the room. I saw quite a few people checking in with no problem,we weren’t one of them. The only thing I can think of is the higher floor. Your room is on the longer it takes for them to get to that floor. I don’t know, but it took them until well after 3 o’clock to have the room ready for us to check into. I’ve stayed in Europe quite a few times and once they know you’re in the hotel even if it’s a little bit before checkout time, they usually attempt to try to get the room ready. They didn’t make any attempts to get the room ready it was come back in a couple hours. Nope it’s 3 o’clock. It’s still not ready. Sorry you’re gonna have to wait longer. Other than that, I have no complaints.

We arrived early into Amsterdam and using the train from the airport and metro, we arrived at the hotel around 0830. We were told check in was not before 3pm, we will store your luggage but basically, go away! We’ve traveled to other locations and arrived early and other hotels have stored our luggage and have been rather nice about it. This hotel’s response (from the person who identified as the Manager), was basically go away. We did explore Amsterdam and returned at 3pm and were checked it.

Very clean and comfy for a budget hotel. Restaurant food ok but restaurant a bit soulless. But usual for this type of hotel. Bar closed early 10pm and I should have liked a espresso martini but the coffee machine had been switched off. Breakfast very good choice of foods, but could do with another hot drink station. But all in all very pleased and would stay again

Couldn't work out why the sink was draining with the plug in, so took plug out, and about ½ meter of hair and slime came with it.
Having a shower left the slippery floor soaked.
At breakfast, they regularly ran out of spoons.
The bar service person was less than enthusiastic to serve.

The hotel is really okay but it’s so noisy ever night with unwanted songs like disco songs could be heard inside our room, plus transportation was hard, no available taxi or bus outside and the train station was like a 25-minute walk with messy road repairs on the way. Really not good for elderly tourists.

Overall convenient stay, close to the ferry which is free to take to the train station - next time I will probably stay in the city centre instead as it was inconvenient to get there at times. Breakfast was very limited and basic, but the room itself was spacious and comfortable. Staff were kind.

Room was clean and very comfortable; fantastic view from the bedroom. No drawers to put clothes but not really an issue.
The buffet breakfast was superb - I'm Coeliac but did not go hungry.
Neither did my husband who has a normal diet.
All the staff were polite and helpful.

The only downside was the lunch/dinner offering - very limited and nothing gluten free. Most nights we were in central Amsterdam but as we had an early flight home (for which we were provided a breakfast box), we wanted to eat at the hotel on our last night - my only option was a chicken ceasar salad with no chicken (as it was battered) and no croutons.
