Lovely place to stay and quite near the train station. For daytripping on the train it is a great location.

Points of interest within Amsterdam were rather far away for walking and the closest tram stop was also a hike. But a canal tour was very nearby.

Great location, 15-20mins from main centre so it's a little quieter and only bus links unless you walk to the train station for tram links. Generally clean and tidy, deep clean needs to be better as there was clearly old dust on the extension lead near the bed and the bathroom extractor didn't appear to work. Only comfort complaints are that more than one pillow each would've been better. Overall worth a stay, very smooth contactless check in and check out.

The only issue with had was noise, not traffic noise but people in the hallways or alley through out the night and early morning. - if you are a light sleeper, this will will be an issue.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this apartment. The place looked much better in the pictures than in reality. Upon arrival, I found spider webs and even a spider inside, which made the apartment feel dirty and neglected. When I reported it, the response was dismissive and unhelpful — I was told their cleaning team wasn’t available and that the issue couldn’t be resolved. That’s unacceptable for any guest paying to stay in a supposedly well-maintained place. Would not recommend.

We were asked to choose a specific room. We were charged for that room. When we got there, that room was not available to us. They made no attempt to secure that room for us and said they just chose one for us. Well- then you should not have asked us to specifically choose a room from the stock. Also the bathroom floor was a mess, there’s no place to hang towels in the bathroom.

The property was hot, dirty, smelly and the air conditioner did not work properly. The bed upstairs in the apartment was unbearably hot because the air conditioner was horrible. It was a moderate temperature in Amsterdam and I could still not stay there comfortably. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Great location for getting around Amsterdam - good comms from Numa who were on hand to help when needed - flat was okay and had all that we needed - I wouldn’t recommend that you rely on the tiny kitchen area for cooking and when using the job there is no window that opens so the fire alarms go off. The shower also runs out of the bathroom door so make sure you use towels to stop that. Comfiest bed I have ever slept in and a great place to stop over for a weekend if you don’t want a hotel.

I would recommend

Hotel is amazing for location, and I would recommend this to friends, the only negatives were that the properties are not soundproofed at all, we could hear absolutely everything from the room above us. The safe also malfunctioned when we tried to get out passports out and we had to wait for an engineer who came (very swiftly) to get into the safe. Other than that, room was very clean and warm, and we had a comfortable stay. The remote for the TV doesn't work but we didn't mind too much.

We have had a terrible experience at this property. The property is done by a key card system on your phone and their system is connected via WIFI, this system failed on our first night. We were stuck outside the property unable to get in until 5am in the morning. The customer service given by the emergency number was abysmal as we got hung up on more then once. We were eventually placed in alternative accommodation for a few hours and then had to phone in the morning to find out it was fixed. This has totally ruined our stay as we made sure we were back in the property within good time for the other nights as we didn’t want to get locked out again. We’re now struggling to get a refund for one night we weren’t able to stay in the property for. Totally unacceptable, would not recommend, book elsewhere.

Overall, our accommodation was good.
The amenities in the apartment serviced our needs adequately and it's only 15-20mins walk from the central train station.
The electronic keys were a handy feature. The bed was comfortable and the heating was good.
The main drawback was the shower, which leaked a lot, but the water pressure was good. Also, there was no place to hang towels to dry.
The complimentary tea and coffee was a welcome find when we arrived, along with the Smart TV.
The WiFi worked very well.

We had an excellent time in Amsterdam. The property is big and perfect for a family of four adults. Well stocked with equipment. Very comfortable. Very much within walking distance of everything you might want to see. Communication was excellent before, during and after. Felt very safe and secure. Highly recommended.

Quite a large space, comfortable for 3 adults and suitcases. Equipped kitchen with stove top and microwave plus coffee machine and kettle.
The stairs to the loft are quite steep, just be wary for mobility concerns (we didn’t take suitcases up).
Staff very helpful via message, quick replies before and post stay.
Would be great to have a lamp in the living area as the guest on the sofa bed only had main light (with light switch at entrance door).
No vent or fan in bathroom so there was mould on ceiling and between tiles. I assume this is why there are also no hooks/towel rails in the bathroom which was very strange and inconvenient.

The apartment is located near Amsterdam Centraal Station but the area in general is quite and safe for families to stay. Walking distance to most of the attractions near the canal and easily accessible. The flat is clean and well organized. My kids loved our stay!

Charming and comfortable loft apartment, stayed 5 nights, easy walking to main train station and heart of Amsterdam. Very responsive support and easy checkin/check out were a plus. Would recommend and stay again but be aware, acoustics not always great, one night was noisy guests coming in and out late, and physically need to be able to climb essentially steep ladder/steps to loft bedroom. Currently lots of construction of roads and sidewalks between lofts and train station. Overall, had a really nice stay and wonderful visit to Amsterdam!

A terrible experience

Our visit to Amsterdam is the start of our hard earned 30th anniversary vacation to Europe, but I could only sum up our stay in this facility over 3 days - TERRIBLE.

To start, our arrival at your airport check-in desk was met with an empty desk. Your employee didn't show up for 20 min while all the guests waited. When we did get to the apartment, the hallways are treacherous to navigate, and staircases are dangerous for people laden with luggages, Well, after finally getting in the room, we found dusty duvet covers and stained seat cushions, In the middle of the night, my wife saw mice running across the kitchen floor. Next night, an unknown alarm woke up half of the neighborhood and in the morning we saw a repairman up in the addict amid a burning smell. The location of this property is central and convenient if only managed properly.

Location is great, next to the NEMO science museum. Amsterdam Central is about 10 to 15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. \"Loft\", apartment, room, whatever you call it is quite small. Fits two adults well but with a 3rd it's cramped. Checking in at the airport was easy, getting Inside the actual room was a maze when you get to the building. Generally outdated and worn out from too many recent patrons trashing the place. Could be great if the AC worked, and the bathroom didn't flood out when you showered. Makes for a wet dog smell and a humid living space. In the end, it's Amsterdam so you're paying for location which worked out great for us.

Property was amazing and location was perfect for what we wanted. On the down side was \"Ants, Ants and more Ants\" Our kitchen benches and microwave were covered when we arrived so we cleaned them down and washed dishes thouroghly before making a cup of tea. The reason i booked the appartment was to save costs on food but the ants were so bad that we didnt even make one meal. My two children slept on the sofabed as the livingroom & kitchen are open planned there were even ants on the sofa bed every morning. Such a shame as this place could be amazing, another negative was making the long journey to the office to collect the keys. It would be better if there was a key box or nearby collection for keys.

Everything was wrong. False advertising. Spend hours on phone with expedia etc to sort this out. First time travelling o/s without parents and this is what occurred. After a extremely long flight from Australia. So much disruption and we had to be relocated. This was such an inconvenience and we require compensation for stuffing up our holiday in the beginning. What a huge mess. This place needs to be removed from your listing as others will find the same instance and it's just not good enough.

Great apartment and very close to the centre of Amsterdam - only a 10 min walk so everything is local. The apartment itself is nice and towards the back of the complex so was quiet. It was small for 4 people but we managed. Only pain was that the check in desk is quite a distance away from the actual apartment and you can only go there to collect the keys at 2pm and then make your way to the apartment. Once that's out the way though it is in a very convenient location and could not complain for the price!

Ordered a non smoking room as my wife has asthma. Got in the room and it reeked of smoke. Sheets, pillows, whole room! Called front desk and they would do nothing about it. Told me the people before us screwed us. The shower floods the whole bathroom as well. Hallways in the whole building stink!
After seeing terrible reviews we had buyers remorse six months out before arrival and tried to cancelling and they would do nothing about that either.
Very rigid!
Beware of this place!!!
Oh, and the check-in is also very long distance being on the other side of the city to get to !!

BEWARE of the term \"Harbour Loft\" for most rooms neither overlook the harbour and a loft can apply to a basement room with thin walls and limited self-catering facilities, e.g., no salt or pepper, etc., etc. Also the \"Short Stay Group\" are completely UNHELPFUL and leave you floundering in a room that cost approx. US$200/night!!!

There are 2 reasons I was not happy with this hotel, firstly he bathroom flooded every time we had a shower. Second reason you turned all the electrics off to the room at 10.30 even thought check out was at 11. Meaning we had to shower and get ready in the dark!!

The studio we stayed in was equipped with an espresso machine, fridge, microwave and hob. The main bed was located on the mezzanine floor and was actually pretty comfortable. The TV also had Netflix and YouTube built in and the free WiFi had no connection or speed issues.

Out of the dozen or so various accommodations we used during our month long sojourn in europe this may, without a doubt the harbour loft studio owned by the short stay group was the worst!!! The reality of this tiny claustrophobic (window locked, a/c not working, shower drain overflowed in tiny bathroom, etc) did not match what expedia posted. They took money as soon as we booked in march for 3 nights in may. What a labyrinth in order to find the studio which was advertised to be appropriate for 4 people - not adult sized people!!! Cramped, hot, and unsafe environment. Told to keep fans on which made no sound, so how would we know if they are on????? Idiotic request! Not a 10 min walk from centraal stn either its at least double that. Had to check in at their office which was another half hr walk from centraal stn. We didn’t stay even 1 night out of the 3 and this multinational short stay group said they were ‘fair’ to us by offering to give us 100 euros from the 632 euros of OUR money back! Injury to insult to say the least as it took over 3 weeks of emails between expedia and us to the SSG to get to this ridiculous result? Expedia has no authority to influence their partners so travellers beware because if you are legitimately after a full or even a 50% refund, you won’t get it unless you sue. Tell everyone who is travelling to amsterdam to book their rooms somewhere else like we did the same day we arrived as we coule not stay at something which felt like a hostel!

A very disappointing six nights.

We were told when we checked in at the airport that the room was on the ground floor and there would be no problem for my wife who has trouble climbing strairs. They didn't tell us that there was a flight of stairs outside the building that had to be climbed to enter the building or that there were interior stairs that had to decended to get to the ground floor and climbed again to exit the ground floor.

There were only towels for one night even though we checked in for six nights. There was no towel rack in the bathroom so we could dry out the towels. There was no front desk to make a complaint.

The shower had no curb or tub to contain the water from the shower head so the entire bathroom floor was covered with water and the bathmat was soaked. There was no way to dry out the bathmat. In my opinion, these items should have bneen known by Travelocity and it should have been noted on the web site.

I would not list this accomodation without noting these problems.

Very nice flat with everything you could need.

The only annoying thing was the shower which definitely needs a plate to avoid flood the rest of the tiny bathroom and cooking area. But for the rest, I found our Loft very comfy and perfect for our needs. Supermarket just crossed the street.

This was not the best location I have stayed at.. It was difficult checking in with Harbour Loft Studios, we had to check in at a different location from where our room was located. This was inconvenient to have to travel to two different locations in order to get the keys to the room. We also did not like how it was a maze to find the room, it was down one hallway, down the stairs, out another door, into another building, and somewhere along the hallway. Aside from that, the restroom was very small, and with 4 people in the one bedroom loft there was almost no space with the sofa bed pulled out.

The central train station is located about a 10 min walk from the apartment so that was convenient.

On a more positive note, there is a bike rental location just two buildings down :)

Quiet apartment - walking distance to Centraal

This was a very quiet room over a week, right across from NEMO Science Center. It was great that it had a new Air Conditioner, as there were a couple of hot days in July. The small kitchen was adequate for very simple stove-top cooking. No electric dishwasher, in my room anyway. Mostly good to make sandwiches. There are many restaurants within a 10-min walk. Just walk into them and grab a table like you own the place was my experience.
The shower had tons of pressure and heat and was like standing under a hot waterfall. Great after a long hard day of walking koffieshop to koffieshop, which one will need to do, as this place is absolutely positively super strict about anything in non-smoking areas. Get a smoking room if you need that, I think they have them. At least it smelled like it did in places. My wing and room were non-smoking and had no odor at all.
If you really want to party 24x7, this is not the place for you. If you don't want to party, its perfect.

The apartment was exactly as described online, so there were no surprises there. We checked in at the airport desk and the member of staff there was very helpful. The apartment was straightforward to find and was equipped with all the necessary bedding, towels and toiletries for our visit. There was also a coffee maker and some complimentary waffle biscuits. We only stayed one night, but the apartment was more than adequate for our needs.

it was like mountain climbing. lots of Narrow, Steep, Stairs. Inconvenient for getting keys. they don't give you keys til you can check in at 2pm. so you either sit at the airport or we chose to pick up keys in the city. But the apartment isn't near this location so then you need a cab to get to the apartment. the walls are paper thin. so we were listening to the neighbors yell from 9:30 until midnight! the girls at the front desk in the city check in office were very nice. And a $300 hold on ur credit card, so you practically have to clean the place before you leave, to insure you get your deposit back, which holds on your card for a week or longer. This should be in the information before you reserve the room

Was made ill by the first room which was a semi-basement with no opening windows. The room was utterly saturated by a damp/cat wee type of smell which caused a chest infection which I am still suffering with now and completely ruined the holiday. Room 1527 is unfit for human habitation. After dwelling in the corridor for 2 hours we were given a different room right on the front of the building adjacent the main entrance. The Batavia Suite. This is the noisiest holiday accommodation I have ever experienced with constant groups gathering outside to smoke and drink. My Partner and I could not get home quick enough.

Nice studio overall and quite comfy inside. The bathroom had no place to hand towels on, no rails, no hang point, nothing, which is odd! studio was on the ground floor, even though it is named \"Loft\", which mislead me into thinking that it is in the loft of the building! From the ground floor, you can look into a car park, and too exposed to the next buildings. Kitchenette was fine, nice coffee machine, the steps to the bedroom is pretty narrow, but it's normal in Amsterdam. When I checked in at the airport (yes you can check in there, or somewhere in the city centre) I was told that it is only about 5 minutes away from the main train station. Turned out to be 20 minutes! and I walk fast!! Had to wait by the building for a little while for a guy to bring me the keys to the flat. No reception is at the building. The corridors inside the building are a bit gloomy, but inside the studio is fine.

Good location but you must like steep stairs!

Checking in at the airport is a breeze, and the location of the flats is very handy - only 10 mins walk along the canal from the Central Station. Finding your room once you get in the front door is a lot harder (check both the room number and the apartment number on your envelope and then follow the red signs). There are a lot of dark, steep, winding corridors and staircases to navigate before you find your room! Rooms are great other than having to negotiate a steep loft ladder between the bedroom and lounge/bathroom. Excellent wifi despite some of the other reviews which led me to believe otherwise and plenty of tea/coffee/sugar/creamer/biscuits in the kitchen! The neighbourhood is safe and convenient at night - 10 mins walk from station and metro and no problem to walk around late. Given the difficulty of finding good cheap accommodation in central Amsterdam, I was impressed with this place.

For the price I would choose elsewhere

Was disappointed as was a lot further from the old town than we were led to believe (in the ad it said 0.3km away) when it was actually about 15min walk away. Also, it didn't specify that the check in place is in a completely different location to the hotel. We spent about 45 euros on the taxi going back and forth when we got to the hotel and had to go to the check in office and back to the hotel.
Also the distance from the hotel door to the apartment was not convenient for those with big suitcases as there was no lift and there was a very narrow winding stairs with very dim lighting.
The actual studio apartment itself was beautifully furnished, modern, clean and spacious. It had everything you would need to make your own meals or reheat bought meals (Microwave, stovetop, cutlery and crockery).
The only down point was in the shower the shower curtain didn't go far down enough to stop water from going everywhere. Also there was absolutely nowhere in the bathroom to hang anything (including a towel?!) which was annoying as the floor got pretty wet.
The place is quite expensive for what we got, in future I would keep looking.

we did not stay, we arrived to an apartment in a disgusting state, I have photos, we booked elsewhere for our stay and will not recommend this place to any of our friends.The management only gave us back 75% of our money and 25 euro to help cover our taxi fares which was a lot more.I feel we were penalised 25% of the cost of this apartment because they did not do their job properly?Not a very nice welcome to a great city.The overall apartments we not at all what they advertised.We were offered another apartment but we did not take this as the place was overall very unclean.

Central location but difficult to access

Well I'll start with the positives: the flat was in a great location about 10min walk to Central Station or Dam Square / Red Light District, so once we figured out the bus & tram we were pretty right. The room itself was quite large with a very soft, comfy bed (one of the best I've slept in in a hotel!) & black out curtains.
Unfortunately not everything was great, as there is no reception at the apartments we had to collect the keys from another place about 20mins away. Due to having our luggage we spent a considerable amount on a taxi to get to the central office & then to the apartment. This arrangement also met that the usual hotel hospitality was extinguished.
Once we had found the hotel - finding the room proved to be a difficult mission, one might assume that a \"loft\" was at the top of the building however these rooms are actually at the back of the property in a separate 1 story building. It took us a good half hour to find the room (jet lag not helping!), which involved a regular 60 second walk from front door to apartment door... Inc a number of hallways, internal doors, a scary dark set of stairs, a courtyard, through yet another door & down a hallway to the room. Not fun when carting a 30kg suitcase! We ended up having to help navigate a number of other guests during our stay who were also wandering around lost.

Close to central station

Apartment was quite hard to find as from the front door it was a small plaque letting you know that this was where the apartments were. The apartment was right at the back of the building which meant it was nice and quite at night but quite maze of a walk to find. Also the corridors/stairs leading to the courtyard were dark and smelly and could do with being made a bit more welcoming and clean.

Nice location but not serviced

The room was adequate but a few thing were a little below. The free wifi only worked if you were in the hall which was quite cold. The bathroom which had nice tiles but the drainage was so bad that the water ran to the toilet before the drain so had to use a towel as a hob. But great location and for Amsterdam was happy.

Really comfortable beds with a terrible bathroom

The beds were very comfortable. Sofa bed was big enough for 2 people. The washroom was terrible though. It leaked everywhere and the curtain stank like sweat at all times. No one from the staff asked if we needed soap or toilet paper rolls. The staff office is far away making it difficult to keep in touch.

Overall it was a good stay.

Basic, strange access to studio, OK for a weekend.

The facilities are basic - but OK for a weekend visit. Bathroom smelt like a drain, unable to connect to wifi and no hairdryer supplied despite being in the description. Access to the studio was via a grim corridor, down a flight of spiral stairs and was a separate building at the back of this block - not very attractive. Having said that, the apartment was very quiet, bed very comfortable although the bedding for the sofa bed had hairs on it so not sure if it had been cleaned after last occupant.

Unfortunately the shower flooded the bathroom and there was a very ugly scraper in the shower to help you scrape the water towards the drain... Why don't they just add a little border. The hotel was not marked with the name so finding it was not easy and they did not tell us upon check in what the number was but otherwise we'll situated and clean and quiet.

Clean big apartment in walking distance to everyth

It was a nice clean modern apartment located next to a market store, so very convenient. 5 minutes walk from the central station and 7 minutes to the heart of Amsterdam. The apartment are very quite and neighbors are very respectful. It is fully equipped as we were living in that place! It is a safe neighborhood. Really enjoyed it and the city, great experience.
The only downside is that their check in office is located downtown... So it can be a little bit of walking around with the luggages at the beginning, but the staff is very nice, polite and really helpful! They give you maps, and have a locker for your luggages :)

Great Apartment and Very Convenient

I was working in Amsterdam and booked the epartment for my stay - which I extended by a day before and after the work commitment.

It was great to come back to a warm and comfortable apartment and relax. Good supermarket (Spar) very near for food shopping.
