Every aspect was good - location, price, room quality - except for one incident. At about midnight our first night the fire alarms throughout the building sounded and everyone evacuated. We tried using the communication protocols provided but the Numa hosts stopped responding to us. Hence, even though help did arrive, we were not informed. We had 3 young frightened children; hence this was extremely frustrating as we did not know if we needed to find other accommodations, etc

adequate apartment.

interesing place style-wise..living room is really big yet its dark and not very well accessorized. kitchenette has all the basics and coffee and tea are available. a good amount of towels were provided.

the bathroom has very poor lighting, otherwise its more than adequate. the mattress in the bedroom is actually two very thin twins and sadly the box spring is severely undersized. however the mattress in the living room fold-out bed is great

for basic needs, this place is adequate.

upon arrival, and after opening the front door, was a very foul body odor. while the bedroom windows open easily the ones in the living room are impossible to open for anyone who has no arm strength- its a struggle to get open.

the elevator goes at a snails pace. to get to #302, walk up to the 3rd floor then walk down 10 steps. this is highly unatisfactory for anyone with leg problems.

there was trouble with access, and when calling the customer service number and going through the prompts, the call was disconnected. numerous tried produced the same result. email message was responded to the next day, as promised.

good location, close enough to the old city, with no noisy tourists.

onsite management would make an immediate difference.

Negatives:
- Place a bit dusty. Only the visible areas seem to be cleaned on regular. Lots of dust under bed, etc.
- Blown out light bulbs
- Checkout process (there was a building fire alarm that went off right before our checkout, and we had to exit the building for about 30-40 mins while the situation was cleared). We asked for 30 mins extra for our kids to complete getting ready and pack, but they could not extend that without charging us for an extra day. So we had to drag everything to the hallway, and completed our packing in the hallway.

Pain from the start!

From the start it was a pain. The online phone keyless entry didn't work, I had to travel 20 min away to get a physical key card because they didn't have a checkin desk the our location. There was a smoker on our floor (supposed to be smoke free) when I complained they said they would send security to check it out but we still had smoke coming into our place the whole time. The place is in a black hole for public transportation if you want to use anything other than Uber. We had fire alarm go off while we were there and it was on for over an hour. There was no way of communicating with the office to get it shut off. Granted that may have been a fluke but still there is no clear way of getting any help if there is an issue.

The only pros were the size of the apartment. It was modern, clean and had a full kitchen. But to me that didn't make it worth it for the other pain points.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

We were not put into the room that we booked, we put in the basement room. I planned on sleeping on the large corner couch and my brother slept in the bed, not the case, I eneded up sleeping on a little 2 seater.

There was no spare anything apart from dishware and the likes, oh wait we were blessed to get a second roll of toilet paper.

The fridge was not working correctly and some service men called with a new one, which should of been when we were not there.

The TV worked but most stations were in Dutch and the reception was breaking up, thank god I had my Roku stick with us.

The bathroom had ancient sockets that were in the bathroom that were concerningly close too the shower.

The bed has stains.

The Immersion did not work properly and yet again the service men called in.

No Toaster!.

Great apartment in a good location

For a group of friends who spent very little time in the apartment it was a great base! On the whole it was clean if a little tired decor in places and in a good location, 10 minutes from the main areas.

The lift was not working and the stairs were extremely steep which was a challenge with luggage (and late at night!), getting up 3 flights of stairs.

The apartment was enormous, a little strange layout with 3 floors (one completely empty), and huge rooms with just a bed in them. It felt strange to have to use a sofa bed when there was extra bedrooms and extra space in them, it would have been better to have the living space as just that and not one of the bedrooms. We had to put away one of the beds each time we sat together and had nowhere to hang clothes up and get dressed etc. for one of our party

Overall unit is fine but ...

Unit itself is fine but there are some area of concerns for us.
Cons :
1. Lift is not working throughout our whole stay. We have to carry our big luggage up 2 steep, narrow and long flight of stairs. If there are elderly and the lift is not working then this unit will be a real concern
2. Sound proofing is not good, we are woken up quite a few time by the noise upstairs
3. At night, there will be people sitting on the stairs smoking cannibis, we always make it a point not to go back too late at night.
4. Windows cannot to open at all. No fresh air coming into the unit.

Pros:
1. Unit size is great
2. Unit interior condition quite well kept and clean
3. Great water pressure
4. Location is good.

This property was amazing. Gives you the basic bits you need like a continental set- bath towels and cloths, washing up liquid so that’s save money and luggage space. Constant communication which was amazing even calling the day before to see where I would prefer key pick up. Luggage hold area. Friendly staff. Place was nice, clean and spacious.
Everything was there you need. Washing machine, cooker etc. One bad point was no cooking trays

This was my first trip to Amsterdam and to Europe. The location of this Apartment was absolutely the best thing about staying here. It was within a 10-15 minute walk from Cenraal Station. It was easy to walk from the apartment into the center of town, the red light district, and many o the tourist destinations.
This is an apartment building that winds down and back into loft apartments toward the back of the building. There are multiple unites on multiple floors and you must pay close attention to the signs in order to find the correct apartment that you have rented.

The building has a coded entry system which is helpful. The apartment that I had was a key entry apartment which meant that I had to carry around keys and make sure that I kept up with them rather than a card or a code.

I was upgraded to a larger space than I originally booked, which was appreciated. Although it made the location of my apartment much deeper into the building and that made it more difficult to find when I arrived and on late nights. It also meant that there were quite a few stairs.

Also, there was a courtyard between the building and the loft apartments in the back, the doors from the courtyard were never closed which meant that there were leaved inside both of the corridors and, those corridors remained very cold all the time. It was uncomfortable to be in those corridors.

Overall, I would book this location again, within the larger building and not in the stand alone lofts in the back.

After staying at the luxury apartment in Athens, I thought an apartment would be the best option again However this place does NOT care about their guests. The lady at the check in place at the airport kept rolling her eyrs at our questions She charged us 50 euros for some unknown tax The towels toilet paper garbage bags soap shampu were not replaced in a week When I requested toilet paper I was told I was in my own The apartment was never cleaned durung the week of our stay The garbage area was less than 100 meter from our apartment door Since the door covered the area and there was not any kind of smell, we were kind of like what the heck However every morning the employees left the door open so our first view coming out ofcthe apartment was a garbage view For the price you csn find better options and more centric This place is almost 20 to 25 minutes walk from central station I ignored some negative reviews but please take into account the reviews Do more research In my humble opinion, this place isnt worth it the price

On the day of travelling to Amsterdam, I had fallen ill with a sickness bug and was really incapable of anything. We went to the office and asked if there was any way they could help as I needed to lay down and rest. They called up the cleaners and within an hour we were on our way to the apartment being allowed in 2 hours early. I managed to get the rest I needed to recover and enjoy the rest of my break. The next day we had a member of staff knock on the door with chocolates, wine and a handwritten card addressed to myself to wish me well. Which was a lovely touch.

The apartment itself is in a great location, and was really nice inside. Me and my friends had a great break and all really enjoyed ourselves.

Loved the traditional style Dutch loft apartment, great views from third floor overlooking the harbour. However down side was lift did not work for duration of stay, so carrying heavy cases up & down 3 flights of narrow stairs was not fun. Also not so convenient was having to get a tram into the centre to get keys.
Also lacking in storage (drawers), hooks, shelves, and no toaster.
However despite all that, it was a great stay in a unique apartment for our family of 5 adults, would recommend.

A very good location for access to the centre and train station etc. Nice bed and bedroom and lounge areas spacious with basic amenities.
Unhappy that couldn't open any windows. Also it was a very low level apartment, almost basement so a very disappointing view of a row of parked bikes and the bottom half of passing people. Tv not very good, only one English channel worked, but many German channels if you speak German!

The apartment itself was awesome. It was very spacious and in a great location. We only encountered two problems:
1. They have two check-in desks. One is at Schiphol Airport and the other is in the city center. Two weeks before we arrived, I sent an email requesting the keys to be at Schiphol airport for check-in. They communicated that they would be happy to accommodate that. However, when we arrived, they informed me that they keys were indeed at the city center location. This forced us to buy tram tickets and ride the tram with all of our luggage to get to that office and took about an extra hour of our day to get these.
2. The hot water went out 3 days into our stay. I communicated with the office and they sent someone immediately to fix it. However, this happened for three straight days. We would wake up with no hot water and would come back to it being \"fixed,\" but it would go out again at about 9:00pm. I communicated with the office about this inconvenience and they did offer compensation for the inconvenience, so they did what they could do to remedy the situation, and for that I am grateful.

Overall, I would give our experience a 3.5/5. Great space and great location!

The apartment was great! Tucked away in a basement and at a decent size. A few downsides; one of the sockets didn't work in the lounge by the table and other sockets were not conveniently placed so you could charge your phone and use it with ease. The last point which would be more disturbing if you were a family or light sleeper; you could hear almost everything in a neighbouring apartment and one of the apartment blocks next door seemed to have a party 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed, where again, you could hear everything and more.

I was expecting more. The location was as advertised as was the key collection experience at Schipol Airport, but the studio was a big let down. It's true that this was one of the cheaper places to stay at the time, but it was still well over 100 euros per night and it wasn't nice. It has a student lets type feel, the communal areas are utilitarian (at best) and although it was quiet and the bed was comfy overall it felt pretty grubby and badly maintained. I was on the lower ground floor overlooking an internal courtyard so I'm sure there are better studios but although some effort had been made the state of repair in the place was poor generally. In fact very poor given the price.

We have been given the harbor apartments studio 1 which is lower floor and there is no lift facility. With two kids and pram , it was quite difficult to enter and exit the house with sleek and curved steps.

Not very happy at all. Flight was delayed so had to collect the check in keys from the office night safe. Round trip in a taxi as suggested my short stay apartments ended up costing €60 in total.

The apartment was very dark with poor lighting to get ready, although it appeared to have been well cleaned. It was very basic and nothing like the images at all. Also it says it’s an 8 minute walk to Centraal station but it takes around 12-15 minutes and there is no bus or tram which gets you there. A long walk after 20,000 steps each day walking around museums.

We were told to ask for late check out 24 hours before we were due to leave despite me having asked from 2 weeks before that. Got to the day before and not possible to check out late. We had until 11am to check out as per standard, but at 5 to 11, as i’m Pulling on my top from the shower, the cleaner let’s himself in with a master key!!!

The place was nice and clean and the bed comfortable. Picking up the keys was kind of odd. We tried to pick them up at the airport but on that day they were not there until later in the afternoon. We had to go pick them up in the middle of town instead. It would have been better if there was a lock box so we didn't have to go running about to retrieve them. It was a good day for a walk so it wasn't bad. If I had to pay to get there I would not have been happy.

Don't trust the sunny picture

Communication with the Short Stay Amsterdam group was excellent. We had no troubles or qualms whatsoever with everyone we dealt. Our low rating is for the flat itself.

The flat was a real disappointment in being so small, below ground, and accessed from a busy street location. What's pictured is not the actual flat we had. The photo might be of the upstairs apartment.

Inside, the humidity, little ants, and occasional mosquitos caused discomfort. Further, the twin beds were the tiniest I've ever encountered and I didn't get a good night's sleep during my four-night stay.

The small flat should be considered more geared more towards students or a single couple than a young family such as mine. The kitchen is a single piece counter type such that there's not much room or capability to do much beyond stove-top preparations. There was a tea kettle and microwave.

When we had some maintenance issues, they were responded to within the same day and resolved at latest, by the next.

Also, my son enjoyed the big-screen TV with cable and I found the Internet quality passable for taking video calls.

Not worth the money

Friends & I recently stayed at these apartments. We were originally advised we would have a “room with a view”. The apartments above were private so I can only assume the room with a view doesn’t exist as we were in the basement. First impressions - fine. NOTHING like the pictures but it was good enough to sleep in. The single beds were very small, much smaller than the size of a standard single bed. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. We then woke up to a lovely ant infestation in the living room one morning. I can currently count 4 bites around my body, potentially from bed bugs. My friend also has some too.
Having said all of this, it wasn’t smelly and the place was tidy. Probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again though.

This was booked by me, their Travel Agent, with a need to sleep 3. The position was fine, but the state of the apartment was disgusting. It was a lower ground unit, with the entrance stairs filled with garbage upon arrival. My clients could not believe their eyes. Ont eh whole VERY DISAPPOINTING condition, I won't recommend them again.

All you need within walking distance

Basic, but pricey accommodation in a good location. At busy times the shower temperature alternated between freezing and scalding. Contacted Harbour Apartments, but they were unable to fix. Will book a recognised hotel chain next time as I'm a bit fussy. I'm sure other customers will be totally happy with this apartment.

We were given a basement flat at first that smelt of mould as soon as you open the door. The apartment had mould on the walls and all over the front door. The basement flat was dark and dingy. We complained and asked for another flat but had to pay €215 extra.
This apartment didn’t smell however the sleeper sofa were full of white marks that they couldn’t bother to clean. The flat was tidy but not properly cleaned. The toilet handle was broken.
Outside of the apartment the corridors and stairs constantly smelled of strong weed.
Definitely not worth the price!!

I wasn't notified to pick up the apartment keys at the other side the city. When I called the ph# on the door they advised that I have to come pickup keys in there office, which cost me $50(taxi). According to the rental office,it was Expedia's job to send me the rental instructions and where to pickup the keys. Such a bad experience with this rental.
Bedrooms smelled like mold. I was with the kids and my mom who is 77 year old who absolutely hated the place.
Place looks much better in the pictures than in there reality. Stairs to the bedrooms were too steep and scary.

Misleading room, no bathroom ventilation, dirty

The pictures of the room show beautiful spacious room with lots of light.
The room we got was in the basement, had \"view\" to another room, no daylight and no clerk nearby, only in city center (which is 25 minutes walk).

The bathroom has no windows so it was moisty all the time, and the drainage was bad so it was flooded all the time.
Also, we had only 2 towels for all 3 days so there was no option it could dry until our next shower.

Our neighbours in the next room were barbaric.
They drank and smoked (ciggarettes and weed) literaly on our doorstep.
They left their garbage (bottles, cans, snacks bags etc.) outside our room for days and nobody took it.

The last day was the worst.
The neighbors came back probably from a night out all smoked and noisy and didn't stop shouting and laughing extremely loud not even after I asked them to be quiet and after a few other neighbors asked them to.
They even argued with them.
The time was 5am by the way.

That was our last night before the flight and my pregnant wife and I couldn't sleep at all.

We had a terrible experience and the ending left us with even worst feelings.

Place was huge by Amsterdam standards. We were in the top floor front apartment, with an awesome view of the harbor and Nemo Science Museum. This was our first stay of our trip, and thus our first exposure to the steep stairways we encountered everywhere we traveled. Definitely NOT for the unfit. Quiet location, not exactly in the heart of things but not too far to walk to most anything in Amsterdam.

Overall it is good, but there is no lift to the -1 floor. It is very inconvenient if you have bigger lugguage. Other than this, it is cozy and cleanness.

Spacious apartment close to attractions.

Great for us a a family of 5. Within walking distance to most attractions and very easy to reach the tram lines to use. Clean, comfortable and great views from the front windows across the harbour.

Not as advertised

Apartment very different to photos advertised. The pictures showed a variety of apartments owned by the company rather than just the room we were booking which was slightly misleading. The apartment was still nice, just not as expected.

Troublesome check in processes.

We didn't notice the find prints of checking in at another location hence wasted lots of time travelling to and flo to get keys and back to the apartment.

Don't think we'll return to the same place in future unless i need an apartment. There are many decent hotels within the area.

Apartment Ok,

Well situated, very noisy tenants in some of the other rooms, no washing machine as I would have expected as it's an Apartment. Pretty run down place. Shower head needs fixing.

Compact apartment close to Central station

This apartment worked well for us as a family of 4 as it was well located for exploring Central Amsterdam. It had good Wi Fi and a well equipped kitchen for preparing simple meals.

Great location.

Loved that the location of the apartments within walking distance of a lot of sites, bars and restaurants. The two small beds in one of the rooms are too small for adults, esp bc of the weird shape of the ceiling, making it impossible for two of us to sleep on them. The second room was fine for 2 adults. I would highly suggest getting new beds and bedding bc we had bites on us waking up, not sure where they came from but it is something serious to look into. Note although there's a lyft, depending on what apartment you stay you'll still have to carry up and down your luggage.

The pictures on the website were deceiving. We got an apartment under ground. Looked nothing like the hotel I booked. Very dirty.
This would be a 2 start apartment in America.

Great and spacious, but be aware its not a hotel.

The apartment was a good size and the location was close, the employees are nice and the apartments are quiet. It did not smell like any smoke as smoking was forbidden as well. They took a $300 Euro deposit. I had it for one day but it would be good for a few days with friends. Be aware this is not really a hotel, The check-in is not at the location of the apartments, you have to check in at the airport desk or in their Amsterdam central office and take a taxi or tram to your apartment. Also, if you have a heavy bag like me, you might have to take it up some stairs (and then take it down some stairs because I was on the ground (\"-1\") floor.

Good location not as bad as I was expecting

Its a good 15 -20 minute walk from the station to the office to collect the keys but the weather was fine so it wasn't a problem. We arrived early morning and were fortunate to be able to drop off our bags at a nearby hotel where our friends were staying. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and check-in took just a few minutes.

We had a one bedroom apartment on the slightly lower than street level floor but there was plenty of daylight with the curtains open.

The lounge/kitchen area was clean and sufficient. The bedroom was of a good size with a wardrobe (from IKEA I think) so plenty of space for clothes to last the weekend.

I do feel like criticising how hard/uncomfortable the mattresses were. My friends seemed A little better but mine was lop-sided on the top so constantly felt like I would roll out. This was so bad that I decided to sleep on the pull out sofa bed the second night, which I must add was a good size and actually quite comfy.

The bathroom while generally clean needed a bit of TLC, however I must add that the shower was plenty powerful and had a good supply of hot water.

We didn't spend too much time at the apartment but it was pleasant enough and did exactly what we needed.

Some additional lighting near the kitchen area would brighten the place up and make it easier to use the mirrors when getting ready but otherwise we couldn't grumble.

An enjoyable weekend on the whole. The 300 euro deposit is a bit high but we left as we found so should be ok

My room was bit noisy and the shower wasn't great. apart from that, I had a good time and it was very close to the venue where I was assisting a conference. Getting the key at the airport was easy and staff very friendly. WIFI was good and heating was very good too.

Central Location and Clean Apartment!

Lovely hotel, so clean and comfortable. Very central location and only a short walk to Dam Square and the surrounding areas. Only downside, no heating or hot water! But the staff were excellent and the cab drivers were equally friendly and chatty. Top weekend!

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. After reading reviews on trip advisor that the hotel had been broken into several times I was very skeptical. However after arriving we felt more at ease. Our room was right next to the smoking area which we didn't mind too much could be a bit nosey but with the TV on it wasn't really noticeable. The room had plenty of light another thing I was also concerned about after reading about the basement rooms. All of the facilities worked. It did the job for a short stay when all we wanted the room for was to get ready in and sleep in. Overall it was a 3 out of 5 I believe.

When we arrived we were in a lower ground floor studio, which did not have any views, despite booking an apartment with 'City Views', so please beware of what you are booking. When we asked to be moved to a higher floor, we were told that a 70 euro cleaning charge would be applied. The carpet at the entrance to our studio was damp and mouldy. Dead insects on the walls and doors, stains on walls and ceilings. The electric hob was not clean. The TV plug would not reach the socket without suspending the extension lead in mid-air. We would not stay at these apartments again. The photos on the website have been taken so as not to show you the dark and dingy nature of the lower rooms. The photos also make the apartments seem bigger than they really are.

We would stay here again and recommend to friends

Very pleased with this apartment. We were worried after reading some of the previous reviews but it turned out much better than we expected. The service provided by the staff was very helpful, the location was central, and the apartment was very modern and comfortable.

Only downside was the whole apartment could have done with a lick of paint. And I am glad we didn't use the lift, as some previous reviews suggest the lift does seem to be faulty as we witnessed two guessed stuck inside.

We were offered early check-in and late check-out at an incredibly low price and this made our holiday as we had a late flight home and this saved us waiting around with no where to go for the day.
