The hotel is nice and staff was friendly. We had a few hiccups during our stay and I think there is major improvements to be made - we asked for a cot for our baby and it was broken and unsafe for our baby to sleep in. We got a new cot the next day which was in good condition but very dusty. We stayed in a room with bunk beds and found out that it was very dusty and dirty behind the bed. Coffee in the room was not replenished every day. We asked for baby items to be left in the room before arrival and had to chase to get those items in the rooms. Overall good stay because the bedroom was comfortable and the location was convenient but need to improve the housekeeping.

They had every service you could need when traveling including proper laundry services. You really can expect to be treated the upmost respect and whiteglove service.

Cannot wait to stay here again. Walkable to amazing spots to sit, chat, watch, eat, drink, pharmacy, etc.

Dinner. Disaster. 1 course not cooked properly. 20 minute gap between 1 plate arriving and the next. 2 hours between being seated and eating.
Initally inadequate response to what was really bad situatuon.
Next morning F&B manager was very good however and finally resolved situation more adequately.
1 lift out of service whole time we were at hotel so took 15 minutes to get out in the morning.
Staff friendly in general but more training needed for tgose innthe restaurant.

We loved the hotel. The bunk room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. I would love to give it 5 stars but some of the rooms don’t have full working heat and we were not told that our room was one of them. The room was freezing and I don’t feel the hotel was 100% honest about the situation or too apologetic. They gave us two space heaters which worked fine when they were on but in the morning and when we came back after a day exploring the room was cold and uncomfortable.
There are lots of places to eat nearby and the location was close to Central Station by a short tram ride. Free bikes were a plus that made getting around a bit easier since many destinations required multiple tram/bus/metro connections if you were not going to Central Station.
Overall a good stay but I would ask about the heat if going in the winter!

The room and the hotel were of a good standard, in a good location for access to the centre however our room was situated above the bins and delivery area, next to a bar called Fosco, it was really noisy and I didn’t sleep well. We’d only stay again if we were staying the other side of the hotel

Nice hotel, with a nice design. Located conveniently and easy to get into and around the city. We stayed in a room with bunk beds and down the side of the beds was rubbish that had been stuffed and missed by the cleaners. Walls could do with a little looking after. Also not the properties fault but we were placed in a room at the front right of the building and every morning (even on weekends) were waken by lorry’s outside making a lot of noise.

They use the excuse of SUSTAINABILITY here as to why beds not made and bins emptied. I did not like this hotel. Location too far out for a weekend stay. There are two Hoxton’s in Amsterdam. Do not make the mistake and stay at the LLOYD. No water or milk in the room either. Drilling outside starts at 7am and music blasting till midnight in the hotel. If you want a peaceful and luxurious stay then book one of the other fantastic hotels on offer in AMS.

From the moment we checked into the hotel the staff couldn’t have done enough for us. From little touches in the room, to the customer service was excellent. We stayed in the family room (bunk bed) and our kids loved it, it was like having separate rooms.
The room was very comfortable and clean and was susprised how spacious it was. Ideal for family city break. Facilities to make tea and coffee which always helps.

Nice coffee shop across the street- bit pricey and grocery store handy for those snacks for the room.
Less than 10 minutes to Central Station on the tram. The closest tram stop is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel easy access.

Our room was in the basement. It was hot. Dark and along the street level which was loud with people walking along the hotel. They were loud and smoking which was extra bothersome because we had to open the window due to the heat. There was a party happening right above us. The music and people were. Extremely loud. It was a party. We left the hotel at 4a with zero sleep.

We were just there for a day and a half. I unfortunately came down with a cold. But everyone was pleasant and cheerful. We sat outside on the patio area and had drinks. We sat in the bar one night and had cocktails. Did not eat there but the restaurant was inviting.
Our room was clean and spacious We had a ”biggie“ room. Loved the decor of the hotel the old with the new that complemented each other. Staff was very informative and helpful. Alice especially. Would certainly stay here again.

The Hoxton Lloyd is nice hotel in the middle of a neighborhood where locals live and frequent. The interior and exterior are both equally impressive. As well as the lounge and restaurant inside. The room was clean, cozy, and most of all comfortable.

This is a comfortable place to stay to enjoy your experience in Amsterdam. Directly across the street are a few shops and restaurants.
This place was a joy to stay in.

Enjoyed the room, comfortable beds, helpful front desk, requested two things for the room on two different occasions and we received them within 1 hour. Access to trams 7 and 26 (goes to Centraal) are a short 3 minute walk. Access to a very good supermarket is a 2 minute walk. Hotel is near the IJ. There is food on site but we did not sample it. Hotel has a very unique history if you look it up. I would gladly stay hear again.

The Hoxton is a unique, beautiful hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the “Studio Up” was a beautiful room - great if you’re traveling with family. It’s also conveniently located to public transportation and was very easy to get everywhere. The one recommendation we have is to provide guests with basic coffee or maybe even an espresso machine in the common area. Overall, a fantastic place to stay while you’re in beautiful Amsterdam! Highly recommend.

Overall this was a nice place to stay. If you have a car, however, it is a bit confusing to know where to go for check in and bringing bags in is a bit of a nuisance since there are only stairs in the parkade. There is a service elevator at the back but then have to pull bags through the restaurant and it feels a bit weird. The location overall is good depending what you desire to do and would recommend renting a bike for the day to get where you want to go. The overall vibe of hotel was nice and the staff was also friendly and down to earth. The room was cleaned each day although always seemed to be missing some stock items like water or milk and our body wash was empty and not filled. But the desk was always happy to provide. The rooms could also benefit from some robes, possibly? It has such a cozy cool home vibe that it seemed robes would be fitting (but that is just a personal touch that I would like - not anything to do with the hotel itself). Overall, a great place to stay.

Bed was comfortable. First impression of room was negatively impacted by the condition of the carpet which was well worn as well as in need of a good vacuuming.

Beautiful historic property with friendly staff, but our stay was impacted by a long check-in delay and an AC issue. When we dropped our bags at 11 am, we were told our room had AC. Returning at 4:15 pm (check-in 2 pm), we still waited over 45 minutes after being told “10 minutes.” The room we finally received did not have AC, and with the hotel fully booked, we couldn’t switch. Fans were provided, but it wasn’t the comfortable experience we’d hoped for.

We thought this was a lovely hotel. Clean, spacious and very pretty. Our room was huge and felt very luxurious. There was no A/C but I didn't check for that when booking.
We also ate at the restaurant, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great!

Great hotel with excellent tram links to Amsterdam centrum and central railway station. Lovely neighbourhood vibe with cafes, restaurants and shopping right outside. You can also take walks along the river from the front of the hotel. I'd recommend the hotel if you want to visit Amsterdam but not have your hotel right in the tourist mayhem.

Property had a nice restaurant with a nice bar and a place for the kids to play outback. It was easily accessible to Uber and walking distance With a coffee shop right across the street.

We stayed here for two nights as a family of four and absolutely loved it. The place is clean, quiet, and spacious—more like a suite, with a separate room for the kids, which was perfect for us.

It’s conveniently located just 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam Centraal, with easy access to all major attractions. The staff were welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall great experience.

We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—it felt like a home away from home.

This is a beautiful property in a historic building near the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a warm welcome to the hotel. The location is fantastic for connections to the tram and bus lines going to Centraal Station. Breakfast buffet was very good with many options. The rooms and common areas are filled with character, the beds were the most comfortable of our trip. Would definitely stay again!

This hotel was incredibly charming and wonderfully decorated. The beds are so comfortable and accommodations perfect in the biggy bunk room! The bunk bed would be incredibly comfortable for grown adults! The AC didn’t work very well as it is an older building and we couldn’t leave windows open because Amsterdam doesn’t sleep! I loved hearing laughter though of people enjoying themselves! The hotel is super close to a tram stop and we walked or trammed the entire time we were there! Amsterdam was nothing but awesome for our family. You can train all over the Netherlands within 40 minutes and with the tram to Amsterdam centraal 10 minutes away we got to see a lot! Loved the Hoxton Lloyd!!!

The hotel is super nice, the staff was very friendly. Bed comfy, lovely bathroom/shower. Reason why it wasn't 5 out of 5 is the noise. I was in a room under the roof and there was a constant loud noise - sounded like a washing machine on spin next door. It was impossible to fall asleep without earplugs (which the staff very kindly provided). I'll definitely stay there again but wouldn't want the same room again.
