The staff we absolutely amazing. Obi helped us at check in and he could see how tired we were after having cancelled flights. He was able to get our room open early for us and it meant the world. The restaurant staff were kind and accommodating. The room was beautiful. I will be coming back.

A massive rock festival on a square nearby. Was in a room where the noise was unbearable (no chance watching TV). On the second night I paid to move to a room the furthest away from the festival. Much better. Feel the staff (very junior) should have taken care of matters to ensure a good stay regardless of cost. Will not stay again.

Me and my partner were here for a weekend, and it was lovely. Quiet place, only few steps away from the free ferry that takes you to the city. The ferry goes often and fast. Hotel is cozy, the rooms are clean.

Un hôtel que je recommande vivement.
Situé à 15 minutes en ferry (gratuit) de la gare, cet hôtel offre un confort que je n’ai jamais vu pour un prix aussi abordable.
La chambre super spacieuse, le lit très confortable, la salle de bain et douche gigantesque, un Acceuil souriant avec un cookie dés la réception puis la boîte de galette offerte dans la chambre, un espace bar/restaurant cosy.
Enfin cet hôtel mérite 5 étoiles !

I don’t know where to start. Samuel at the front desk took a personal interest in our stay. He went beyond to accommodate our needs. The restaurant had the best burger in Amsterdam and the service there was exceptional as well. We have stayed at 5 star hotels and they could not match the kindness and competence of this staff. Thank you for all you did for us and for making our stay special. Bravo

No room available when checking in

Upon checking in, we were told our room's air-conditioning was broken. We were traveling with 3 other couples, whose rooms were all unaffected. We were given to option of moving to another hotel 15 minutes away. This was not acceptable as we had reservations for the Ann Frank tour and would have missed it do to the time of arrival to the offered hotel, not to mention being separated from out group. After being told many times there was not room available, I was clearly very disappointed, it was then another employee gave us a room. I understand maintenance issues happen, but I believe a room was available, but was being reserved as it was an upgrade from the room I had booked. We were also told that rooms were overbooked.

We enjoyed the free ferry ride to and from the hotel. The property is quite new and modern design although quite isolated.
We had a room on the top floor, being summer it was very hot and the air con had to work very hard to cool our room down.
The staff were reasonably helpful and breakfast was great. Overall it was a good stay.

The room was a good size and rhe bathroom was roomy with quality towels (& facecloths...not commonly found in european hotels). One downside..the lighting was not great. Stayed two nights before a cruise in the smallest hotel room I have ever been in,the area around the hotel looks like a homeless camp. The windows of the hotel have metal mesh covering them looks like a prison. The rooms have a queen bed with just enough room to get around it and a small bathroom. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room so after a long day of site seeing we came back to a dirty room and no clean towels. The restaurant is way over priced even for a hotel restaurant (32 euros for a cheese burger and fries) . Don’t waste your money on this place

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. It is very convenient to the railway station just a short ferry ride, which we also enjoyed. It is located in an apartment residential area with a lot of commuters on the ferry every morning and evening. The facility has a nice breakfast buffet that we enjoyed several times. The staff in the Dining room were superb. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance along with some carry out places. There is a fantastic amount of street art around the area which we thoroughly enjoyed but some might feel concerned about it. We were also happy with the more reasonable price of this hotel, versus some of the others down by the rail station.

We loved our stay, it was a great location, absolutely amazing spot. Great facilities & staff.
The only minor issue we had was the limited air flow in the room. Being on the ground floor there was only 1 window with a very slim opening which didn’t allow much flow & air conditioning was far from the bed so it’s effectiveness was minimal in that area of the room.
Other than that one issue, everything was fantastic, staff we very helpful, everything was clean & as expected of a Hilton standard.

No more Hilton Hotels for me

I was quite upset because they charged me 20 Euros for late check out. This is the first time I got charged this. When I asked the counter in the morning, I was not told of this charge.

I have stayed in many hotels in my life, when I request for late check out, none have charged me. This is the only one. Probably the last time I will stay with Hilton

Nice hotel but NDSM is very out of the way feom Amsterdam centre.
There is a ferry available but you need to time it correct otherwise you wait for it to arrive and then have the 15min sail. To quickly nip into Amsterdam for a look and some food already will take 1 hour for the travel. Last boat sail 11.30pm so your also on a curfew.

Room has aircon but it does not fully turn off. Pressing the off button simply turn the temp off but not the fan and the window does not open.

Ok for a business stay but if staying for leisure I would suggest booking in Amsterdam central.

This hotel’s biggest asset is its location. The hotel is right next to the free ferry that takes you directly into Central Station. Therefore, within 15 minutes you’re in the center of Amsterdam with access to metro, tram, buses, and the train! Around the hotel is an artsy community. There is Straat, the museum of street art and graffiti next door, but otherwise very little at this location…mostly workers live in this area and commute.

The cleaning was just making our bed and folding towels. The staff was nice, but not very helpful, the area is poorly lit by night and looks like a construction site. None of this would be a real problem had it not been for the price. That was the most expensive average hotel I've ever stayed at.

I spent time researching hotels in Amsterdam and finally booked this one. Location is great. 10 min ferry ride to Amsterdam central station - It’s FREE! The ferry is roughly every 20 mins. The location is quiet and very close to a grocery shop, STRAAT museum and several restaurants. The room was clean (a few marks on the carpet but that was all) and spacious with great views. We were in a twin room which was situated at the back looking over the NDSM warf. We could still see the river from the side window. Breakfast was a continental buffet - very nice and choose of hot and cold food. The restaurant at night was good. We had room service once which was very speedy. Staff friendly.

NDSM is still not the most central location in Amsterdam, but if you need to stay there, this hotel is the best. great breakfast, nice lunch / dinner options. clean, modern, super nice staff. If you want to go to the city, the FREE ferry to Central is right there, every 15 minutes rush hour, 30 minutes otherwise. (even some night).
Did not like the free marked around the hotel over the weekend, they are almost fully boxing us in.

Ive stayed at this property 3x prior but its gotten worse and worse! The internet was terrible for some reason! So slow and not worth staying here alone for that! We also had unused clean glasses in the room but staff demanded they change them and ended up changing them for dirty ones! Towels werent cleaned or replaced and by the end of our stay we had 1 small face towel! We also had left a room key in the power slot while we went out for dinner and when we came back someone took the room key and we werent allowed a second room key for the 2 of us! This meant we couldnt charge computers or devices while we left to property to explore! Overall its too bad because we like this area and had good experiences with this hotel but after the 4 nights we recently stayed it just isnt worth going back!

Louder than hell and meaner too!

The loudest night of my life - room windows and wall reverberated throughout the night from incredibly loud outdoor concert nearby. When I went down to front desk at complain at 12 midnight the desk attendent was smiling during a call with other guests who were complaining about the music. He laughed when I told him I shared the concerns. His response was that people could make as much noise as they wanted until 4am - actual Amsterdam law is 11pm. He provided ear plugs only after I insisted on them, and the ear plugs were not sufficient to drown out the cacophony from outside. In addition, the hotel did not supply queen sized beds that were contracted.

We had some problems with downloading Covid test results before flight check in to return home. The front desk staff was so helpful making phone calls for us. She made multiple calls requesting test certificates emailed to us till we received it. The property is centrally located, a 7 minute free ferry ride to Amsterdam centraal.

God location with reasonable price

Good location just a few steps from the ferry to the Central Station. We went by car, which is also easy to get there and the parking is not as expensive as Amsterdam in general (we paid 15 euro/day). The area is super cool with a lot to explore. Beautiful view from our room (river view). Lovely staff!

Really lovely staff, super helpful and cant fault them at all. They really went out of their way, and a great asset to the hotel. The location was also great - Although on the map it looks like the hotels a bit far out, the ferries are really regular and efficient, and it’s actually really nice doing a journey on the water every day! The ferry is free too! There are also two really nice restaurants nearby - no ferry needed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed here a couple times now. With the ferry that takes you straight to Amsterdam Centraal right there, it’s quite conveniently located. The rooms are quiet and very clean, and some offer great views of the river. The staff is courteous and helpful. Upon check-in, you’re even welcomed with a warm cookie. It’s wonderful.

We stayed at the Doubletree in NDSM Wharf for 8 nights. It’s a great hotel and the staff are super helpful. The location is good as well. A free ferry runs to/from Central Station every 30 minutes (15 during rush hours) so you can easily get to everything Amsterdam has to offer. However, the NDSM Wharf area is a great place to get away from the overcrowded parts of the city. There are a handful of great local restaurants and a huge flea market (as well as numerous art and music festivals during the summer months). We will definitely stay here again.

Our entire company, our friends and my family will NEVER STAY at this Doubletree in Amsterdam EVER AGAIN. These people treated us like we were some kind of criminals. Our kids were afraid of the staff. This is like 1940-45 all over again. This is ridiculous. I had to run to the room and get our stuff out of this hotel. Furthermore, we will hire an attorney to deal with this hotel. I this behavior change because this not good for Holland “Amsterdam “

Great location. loved the hotel.however, expect your room to be cleaned or serviced past 3pm, i had to call the Careline at 330pm to ask for someone to clean my room after being out all day. One day i had to call and request for the room to be cleaned before lunch and the lady said housekeeping needs to clean all rooms that have checked out before they can clean my room. not a good answer. the rest of my stay, i would always call to remind them to clean my room before 3pm. one person that gave exceptional service is the lady attendant from the breakfast buffet, she was really nice and smiled when she would greet all the guests.

We chose this hotel as our daughter lives nearby. We really liked the location as there were lots of bars and restaurants around and it was 2 mins walk from the free ferry which took us into the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel was great. The room was quite small but fine for us and the bed was so comfortable, with nice clean smelling sheets. the breakfast was good for the price and all the staff were very polite and helpful.

Great hotel, not easy to nip back to though

A typical Doubletree hotel - great staff, great rooms, comfy beds. The rooms do have a lot of light pollution though with glowing panels for the lights - had to wear an eye mask. When I mentioned this on check out I was told they have covers for the switches to block the light out! If only I’d asked sooner.... The only other issue we had was the location. Whilst the ferry ride is pleasant and free it’s an hour round trip (45 mins in rush hour) as the ferry takes 10-15 mins and then you have to wait for the next one back. So if you need to pop back to the hotel for something In the middle of the day then it’s a problem. This was a pain on our last day when we left our luggage at the hotel and had an hour wasted to go back and get it. I asked if we could leave our luggage at the other Doubletree by the station and the staff told me they used to be able to do that but the other Doubletree stopped it. You can though leave your luggage at the station once you’ve bought your ticket to the airport (a locker is about 10 Euro for 24 hours). This is a much cheaper option than staying at the Doubletree at central station. Overall the lower cost makes it worth staying here and in sunny weather the ferry ride is nice. Stay at double tree Amsterdam central not wharf

The location & rooms at DT ndsm wharf were not as per double tree stds. Don't stay there.

Instead...
I then stayed at double tree Amsterdam central. Thiz DT was fabulous. The Amsterdam central helped me make the swap & the duty manager Koen V was amazingly customer centric. The staff at reception n concierge were fabulous too.
