We got a big, clean, well equipped room. One zone for my kids and a separated bedroom for me and my wife.
Hotel located just 5 minutes from Zaandam train startion, grocery store next to door.
The staff was really helpful durin check-in, ckeck-out and when we needed information about travelling to other places.

Booked a suite as we were staying several days and the small kitchenette with fridge and microwave would have come in handy (they did).
Was actually given a disability access room which although large was a bit basic. It did have everything you could need; a bed (which was quite comfy), three armchairs (which were a little grubby), a dining table and four chairs but it was a little soulless. The only bit of decoration was a Dutch themed wooden mural above the bed.
Being a disabled access room we had a wet room with a shower but the drainage area was quite small so we ended up with water pooling in other areas of the floor.
Although not disabled ourselves we thought the kitchenette’s countertop and electrical sockets might be out of reach for wheelchair users.
A pod coffee machine and kettle are supplied as well as tea and coffee but these are rationed; two teabags and two coffee pods per day (although we didn’t get coffee pods one day). Extra supplies can be purchased from reception, which also has a range of vending machines for snacks, drinks, breakfast and microwaveable meals. There is a handy Albert Heijn supermarket across the car park and the hotel itself is a short walk from the railway station.

The room and hotel were clean. Zaandam is a good area to stay if you want to be out of the busy city center. The parking looked to be about €15 a day, there were lots of spots. We didn’t use the parking but it would be a good hotel option if you needed it. The king bed in the room was very large. The pillows were kind of small.
The air conditioning worked great and we could also open the window.

I highly recommend this property. Huge rooms for Europe and right next to Zandaam train to Amsterdam. There's also groceries in the same parking lot which saved us tons of money. Really happy with our stay.

I really enjoyed my stay in the suite I booked.

The only thing I was not sure about was how the Air-Con worked as the seating area was lovely and cool but it did not appear to work in the Bedroom as it was still quite warm.

El servicio muy bueno, el hotel muy bueno, pero el beneficio de VIP ha sido un poco confuso, en principio te dan un copon de 13€ para consumir en comida y bebidas, pero solo lo puedes usar en el desayuno, pero si ya tienes el desayuno pago no te sirve de nada, devolvi sin utulizar el cupon de 13€ de la primera vez, la segunda vez el muchacho del front desk fue amable y no me cobro el parqueo a cambio de no coger un cupon que no iba a utilizar. Muy bueno el hotel, pero el beneficio del VIP no es muy funcional.

Lovely property when it is redone. Currently undergoing maintenance. I will say the bathroom beong see through will be enough to keep us somewhere else though nothing like really trying to not use a public bathroom all day to come back and have your 10 year old and spouse stare at you through a glass door while you poop....fun times, someone should get their money back from that architect.

We had a family suite which was nice for 4 adults. The proximity to transportation was excellent. The train is just a 5 min walk. And there is a grocery store very close by. I would recommend this hotel but the only downside was the bed and pillows are not comfortable at all.

The staff is excellent. They go beyond. The bathroom needs more counter space and more hooks and hung lower. Just a 5 minute walk to train station and walking street for shopping. Also by an Albert Hein market.

We were a family of three and booked the Suite. It was really spacious and was divided into two rooms. A bedroom and a living area. The bed was a King bed which was plenty of room and my daughter slept on the sofa bed, which could have been more comfortable. It was clean but basic. The suite also had a large bathroom and a kitchenette with microwave, sink etc. Would have been good if they supplied cutlery and plates in the room though.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the train as well as it said it had laundry service and a kitchen. We are heading on a 12 night cruise and wanted to make sure we had assess to laundry. As well we needed a kitchen due to having medication that needed to be kept cold, and freezer packs for transpiration. The hotel has NO laundry service even thought it is on the website. The closest laundromat is 8 kms away. The kitchen suite is a microwave and mini fridge with no freezer. You had to ask for dishes if you wanted them and they had no stove or hot plate. They did let us put our freezer packs in the kitchen and when the room attendants didn’t refill the coffee they did bring some. The room was not super clean, there was peanut butter on the chair, food of some sort on the remote and the shower/hair container was empty the entire time. Bed was comfy, people were nice. L

Lovely stay just outside central Amsterdam, very accessible by public transport. Felt safer and cleaner than being more central, would definitely recommend for family stays! Staff were all lovely and lots of travelling tip resources all around the hotel. Rooms aren’t entirely soundproof but guests are respectful of quiet hours so this wasn’t a problem.

Expected more from a VIP suite but was quite disappointed. As the suite seemed quite basic and could have been much cleaner. But there were lots of smudges, food crust on the bedroom curtain and food crust on the plates and dishes as though not washed thoroughly.
There was a female staff member at reception on one of the evenings into my stay who was not helpful at all, slightly rude and very standoffish. I don’t recall the name but she was a short slightly round dark haired lady, with very elaborate false eyelashes. However, the mature gentleman who advised me my room was ready at the start of my stay/check in,was extremely polite, friendly and genuinely welcoming.

Great location right beside the metro and a shopping strip mall. We stayed in family room 411 and the internet rarely worked. They tried resetting the modem, but that didn’t help. . They offered to move us the 2nd day, but when we checked there were no family rooms available that day to switch to. Other than the internet access the hotel was nice.

Unfriendly, will not stay here again.

On arrival the staff were very unwelcoming and uncooperative around the fact that we had had a cash flow problem meaning we could not easily pay for 4 nights in one go. They showed no respect for my Silver Membership status. Prior to our arrival I had tried to reduce our stay to 3 nights but they said I would have to cancel the bookings and rebook. This is ridiculous. I cannot understand why they could not just cancel the 4th night. When we left they said bye. Nothing else. They did not realise we had stayed there this year for the second time because we liked it last year. We will not stay here again.

I’m a single mum with a 14 year old boy and 12 year old girl. The hotel is in a great place, close to shops, cafes, restaurants and the train station to Amsterdam Central and the Airport. However, I was not told there would be maintenance happening in the hotel during our stay. We travelled at 3.30am and so hardly had any sleep and then were woken up at 8.30am with drilling right outside our room. We got up and went out for the day. We got back at 6.30pm to someone coming out of our room (do donor disturb sign on door) dust on the floor etc. more drilling and banging. I went to reception and just got told the hotel was full so couldn’t move and gave me a drink voucher that couldn’t be used until 9pm and we were checking out the next day so pointless.
We had a triple room. There was no privacy at all with the bathroom. The glass has open parts so the 3rd bed is perfectly in line to see whoever is in the shower. This meant my teenage children would not shower during our stay. The beds were awful. I’m going home with a bad back. I was in the ‘double’ (two single beds together) and it sank into the middle.
Would never have stayed here had I known there was maintenance taking place. Staff couldn’t have cared less about the work men being in my room or drilling all day. However, location great.

My suite was perfect for 2 couples. It was squeaky clean, lovely updated bathroom, nice artwork and decor. Convenient mini kitchen and dining room area. Only 5 min walk to the train station. More dining options 5-10 minute walk (across train station). The staff was very helpful and kind! They let me borrow an adapter. Love this property!

I didn’t really like how terrible the card reading machines were, card got declined several times even though we had the funds; almost ended up getting charged twice for breakfast and the city tax even though we paid on the day of check in. Had to mention it twice to get it corrected. I liked certain staff members like Yiangqi and the Brazilian gentleman at the bar/restaurant they were both very helpful and courteous.

Northern European road trip

We arrived early and gained access to our room straight away which was great after our overnight ferry. On-site free parking was a huge bonus for our family road trip.

The family room was good with lots of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers but the bathroom with a sliding glass door off one of the bedrooms meant there was little privacy.

The towels could have smelt fresher and some soft furnishings in the room were a little tired - duvet and curtains.

We would definitely use this hotel again if we were visiting Amsterdam with a car.

Decent hotel for the price, but do not go here if you need to use their business services. Expedia listed this site as having\"business services including computer workstation\" and WIFI. NEITHER WORKED. I even called ahead to confirm that these services would be available to guests. They said yes. I guess I should have specified if it was working technology.
The computer was a a single Windows XP workstation (probably 25 years old, its operating system isn't even supported anymore). The browsers were Internet Explorer (also no longer supported) and TOR (avoid if you don't want the Dutch-equivalent of the FBI questioning you for 'stuff.')

The WiFi never worked. I had to get a free Lebara sim card from really nice vendors downtown (Feyzo) and buy a €20 data plan in order to complete my work. I had to do all my work projects on my iPhone instead of a computer. Not ideal.

The AC/Heater didn't work either.

Other than that, fantastic location by Zaandam Station. Google maps will route you the long way if you are walking from the station, but all you need to do is exit the station, turn right, go down the stairs and cut through or by the supermarkets to get to the hotel.

The employees were all really friendly and helpful, the hotel is just dated in regards to tech.

everything was really great at reception, kitchen, bar, room and parking. Staffs are all friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is the best. It's only 5 mins walk to the main station. There is a supermarket nearby as well. I can easily walk around to the city from the hotel or take a train to Amsterdam and have no worries on looking for parking in Amsterdam! Everything is wonderful and I will choose this hotel again when i come back in Netherlands!

One little thing is that the refrigerator in my room wasn't cold enough.

Fantastic and plan to stay here again!

The hotel staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. Extremely easy walk to the public transportation and right next to a grocery store that had great hours and great choices and fresh produce. Breakfast on the first morning was perfect; however, on the second day we pushed it back by one hour and they struggled to keep food available and it also became very crowded. The food did eventually come out, but that caused us to be there longer. The beds were hard and not very comfortable but everything was very clean. The only other thing that bothered us was that they did not provide wash cloth, only hand towels and Bath towels.

I love that this property has 24 hour check in/access. I flew in around 4am and they already had a room ready for me, walking from the hotel to Zaandam Station is about a easy 8 minute walk. Lovely property, and housekeeping is great!
