Staff were friendly. The room was basic but comfortable. It is within two minutes walking distance from zaandam station, which has regular trains into the centre (€3.50) and direct to the airport (€7) im sure there are passes you can buy that are would make this cheaper but I was fine with the price. I have stayed at this hotel twice now and would again on my next trip to the Netherlands:)

I had a good experience with check in at the reception however there was a couple of stains on the bed which which was either attributed to sweat or urine however it didn't make me feel comfortable with the cleanliness

my second time staying at this hotel. always a good experience. Clean and staff were friendly. they were able to accomodate my request for an early check in because I was travelling with a toddler and we arrived early at the airport. will always choose this hotel whenever I will visit amsterdam.

The room is really small but very clean. The windows do not open, and whoever was in the room before left the temperature set at 35C. It is okay for one night. The building wasn’t easy to find, the hotel sign is very small so you really need to look for it; however, super easy check in and it is located in a beautiful area.

Good place to stay!

Zaandam is a great place to stay just a train stop away from central Amsterdam. We had the rail pass so was very easy to travel around from
This location. Hotel was neat and provided very basic amenities. The area around was beautiful. The only thing that was a bit of issue was lack of any storage space or any place to even store our bags. We have to leave everything on the floor. Other than that the stay was good

The stay was good. The facilities would be better if there was a fridge in the room and if there could be something done about the smell of weed in the hallways. Coffee I. The room would be great instead of spending 4.5 euro every morning and having to go down to the hotel lobby to get it.

Practical solution for a night stay. No frills, but it said that in the description. Few issues with TV service not working. Also, no phone in room so needed to head down to reception a few times (yes, could have used my mobile, but didn't want to)....

I Continue To Stay At This Hotel

Another great stay at Easyhotel Zaandam. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Room was clean with lots of hot water in open shower. Nothing fancy about the room with just liquid soap dispenser, no hand towels and no closet or storage for luggage or clothes. But I still like it here and the ease of walking to shops, bars and restaurants. Train is only 4-5 minute walk. Its just a quiet, comfortable place with friendly people.

A little too small a space to be value for money

The hotel was well situated, an easy walk to the train station, close shops and some funky modern architecture. The room was too small for a couple travelling for more than a couple of day. There was simply no storage so bags were stacked int corners. No real room to work, in fact apart from a single kitchen chair and the bed there was nothing to sit on I don’t regret my stay but I would not repeat it

The price is cheap for a reason. There is nothing in the barroom. There is no cups no tissues even just 2 towels for 3 people. The room is pretty small and check out time is 10 am. Late check in or early check in will cost you lots. There will be 5 Euro per item if you need storage for your luggage after checked out.

Still My Go To Hotel In the Amsterdam Area

Another great weekend stay at easyHotel Zaandam. Super convenient, just 5 minutes from Zaandam Station and a short train ride to Central Station or the direct to Schiphol Airport.
Shopping, coffee and grocery is just steps away. 10 minute walk and you're in the Dam for a wide selection of restaurants. Venture further and see the less touristy side of Zaandam, where there are 2-3 larger grocery stores and more restaurants and local shops. Walk along the canal or watch the boats pass thru the canal locks.
After many stays in the Amsterdam area, I have made easyHotel Zaandam my go to hotel. The rooms are not spacious, there is a lack of space for a suitcase, and a closet with 4 hangers doesn't handle shirts/trousers/jacket very well. But it is clean with plenty of hot water and multiple security (key required) doors to get to your room. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. This trip, Aurora made sure I was well taken care of.

Highly recommend for shorter trips or if you don't require much space. It's a comfortable space in a comfortable town. It just feels welcoming.

It is a shame that besides I sent an e-mail asking for parking options they never answered me. There is a perfect option in the same building the hotel is but because they don't have an agreement, they don't even mention it on the website. The hotel is a little hidden inside a shopping mall and the GPS had a hard time to find it. If they suggest the Q-Park Heritage Zaandam by my own risk, it will be perfect, and the parking lot can access the hotel by the first floor. Quick information in the web site will make the live easy to the ones driving to the hotel.

Another Great Stay at easyHotel Zaandam.

Another great stay at easyHotel Zaandam. Location so a few blocks from the train station with quick service to Amsterdam and also Schipol Airport. Albert Hein directly across from hotel for groceries and snacks.
Staff is very accommodating and I received free early check-in again (thank you Yannick).
Rooms a a little tight and not much room for luggage storage. Fine for solo traveler, but couple will face challenges get into suitcases.
Water pressure was a little low in this room but plenty of hot water. WiFi worked fine with decent speed.
Only issure (every time I stay there) is the limited options for hanging up clothes (no wall hooks) and no hand towel at the bathroom sink.
Would recommend if you are traveling light and want to avoid the crowds in Amsterdam. Very nice central square with lots of food and drink choices.

Repeat stay at EasyHotel Zaandam. Location is great with 3 block walk from station and crovery (Albert Heijn) across the street or across from the station. Other shopping across the street and the Dam is on a 4 minute walk, with plenty of restaurants and bars.
Hotel rooms are clean, water is hot with good pressure and bed is comfortable. What the room lacks is storage space for luggage and wall hooks for clothing. Even a carry-on bag is a tough fit in a standard room. Rooms are on floors 9,10,11 but elevators are quick. Check-in and check-out are easy and fast.
Will stay here again.

Easyhotel Zaandam is exactly what it says it is: a budget hotel that only features the basics but you also don't pay for anything you don't need. The room is just a bed, bathroom, mirror, a chair and very minimal horizontal space to sort things (i.e. no desk). Bed was comfy, linens and room overall were very clean, walls are paper thin, however, so you WILL hear your neighbors, what they're saying, what they watch on T.V. and their salacious night time activities. Not that big of an issue for a single adult or couples but not recommended for families. Overall good for what you pay, and barely more expensive than a hostel in and around Amsterdam, so a good value.

Decent hotel for those on a budget

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s very basic but the bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The rooms aren’t cleaned unless you request and pay €20 a day which is something I’ve never experienced from a hotel before, especially when paying €100+ a night. The room wasn’t the most clean and the bathroom had a really bad smell at first (it went after a few showers). Overall I’d recommend this hotel if you’re really on a budget and want somewhere cheap near Amsterdam to stay. Staff at reception are readily available, super friendly and very helpful!

Room is a little small but OK for a single. Quiet room with decent view. Great location a few blocks from Zaandam Station so easy access to AMS and Schipol.
Reception was OK but not overly friendly. Fantastic that they allowed me to check-in at 0800 with no charge.

The bed was comfortable but the room was far to hot and no instructions in the room how to turn that down.
Also no instructions for the WIFI.

This place has no facilities - not even glasses to drink water. When requested - only paper cups were provided and that too rationed !
Getting an extra pillow was an adventure !
This is located on 3 floors of a regular condo building and it seems treats the customers like they are tenants from the building.

Definitely a no frills hotel, but location is great and the staff were friendly and helpful. A few minutes walk to Zaandam station, clean room, comfy bed, good shower. Basic needs, looks just like the photos. If you need a hair-dryer or iron just ask the front desk. Coffee machine in reception, but you have to pay (1.50Euro). However you are so close to the Zaandam high street, everything you need is there. Was a good budget hotel for my visit to Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

This hotel was in the perfect location for my trip to Amsterdam. Just one train stop from the bus station and two stops from central station in Amsterdam and two stops from the windmills! I loved the area, full of shops, restaurants, and things to do. It was very pretty and I enjoyed exploring the area. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again and staying there!

It is a good hotel. The location is great and the train abd bus station are really close. I love the night receptionist, a young man who helped us. The morning receptionist wasn't good as the night one.
I felt and reported to them during the morning and they didn't provide any help. They just said \"sorry to hear that \".
I wasn't in my country and i didn't know how to handle the situation. Thanks God I found and store that sells Ibuprofen and it helped

Overall Hotel bed and bathroom facilities were fine however this is the first hotel I've come across where there was no water kettle in the room and neither Tea bags and creamers. Not even a Tea or Coffee machine placed on the floors or the ground floor Lobby. At minimum this is expected in any hotel you would stay. I think Easy hotels based on their room night charges, should've provided a Water Kettle and Tea bags at minimum. Do they expect guests to wait for the shops to open to drink Tea/Coffee?

They have no customer service

I am very unhappy with this hotel as due to COVID -19 we could not go and we paid ahead for the hotel and they would not refund us. We are from the USA and our country is not allowing us to travel. We told this to the hotel and they did not care. I will not stay here or book pre- paid because they only look out for themselves and could care less about customer service.I booked with Hotels.com and they could care less also.Hotels.com was blaming the hotel and the hotel was blaming hotels.com. Don't use both.
I did however book other hotels with Travelosity and received all my money back with not problems.
Just want to protect others. Don't ever book with the hotel or hotels.com

The hotel itself is nice, the staff is friendly but there are no amenities. there’s no hair dryer offered you have to go downstairs for it. We were supposed to get a cleaning after 3 days since we were there for 5 nights and they never came. Our trash was never taken out so we had to leave it outside as we had ate food the night before. There’s no mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, not even ice. We had to keep our perishable food cold by leaving it in the sink with ice we bought. On top of this they never gave us fresh towels, we used the same ones. They never changed our sheets, and on top of this we come from America, our train doesn’t leave till 6pm and we have to pay for luggage storage.

Upside: The room was surprisingly bigger than I thought. Bed was comfortable. The location is very good, walking distance from Zaandam train station.
There's lots of cafes and 3 supermarkets within walking distance. So there's no lacking of food and shopping.
Downside: I had to pay 7.50€ for early check-in. There's no housekeeping for my room during my stay.
There is no fridge to store the cheese I have bought.

Plenty of shops and walkways to enjoy! 2 sizes of lockers available for storage if arriving early purchase a token from staff to make use of lockers! One time use! Also area is secure where rooms are located! Only inconveniences is the tiny room with queen bed had to crawl across bed when sharing with spouse! Would stay again when passing via area!

Location is 2 mins walk from station, room is clean, but this hotel is not suitable for family. The only negative is: I have to pay only for a cup of hot water.
