There was a lot of construction happening near by and we didn’t see that many places close by to eat. BUT we appreciated how close it was to bus stops & the ability to check in late .

It was perfectly located for where I needed to be for work, but if I were to visit on a personal trip then it is very far from everything. I was so happy with our choice of this hotel. The rooms are so efficiently organized, with just the right amount of space. Everything is so intentional, clean and welcoming. I loved the folded over down comforter on our bed and the lovely, tasteful Dutch windmill mural on the wall (so many hotels have cheap bad artwork, sad but true). The breakfast is very good, simple, but very good and satisfying. All told, I would love to stay here again. It's a great value, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Our room was also the size of a coat closet. Prepare to use the bus as main transportation, and account for 30 minutes to get anywhere with food

Fantastic hotel at a really reasonable price its only downside was it was a 30min bus to Amsterdam Central or a 20min bus to Zaadam Central (these buses are not covered with a city bus pass sadly). Only its location let it down.

The rooms were quite pleasant and modern but the location is terrible. Having “Amsterdam” in the name is seems misleading as its in Zaandam. My sheets had also appeared to not have been changed as there were stains, the odd hair and a bad smell to the pillow. The staff were quite friendly and again, it’s modern.

My stay was generally amazing in Amsterdam. The hotel was fair for the price. The rooms are small but what would you want when you dont spend the day there. Our room was a little bit stuffy and needed to be cleaned,they didnt clean it even after requesting. Location isnt too bad considering its 5mins to the bus stop. Reception was good,service excellent,didnt take time to check in or check out. They were kind.

It is not our first stay at B&B hotels. Hotel and all in is great, but if they sell a travel ticket, the employee must know to say the validating time of ticket. We bought 2 ticket for 1 day (42€) at afternoon, and used it only for one drive to center. Validating period canceled at and of the day. It isn't 24 hour. Ticket works only fromm 00:00 to 04:00 hours.

Really pleased with the quality of this hotel, especially for the relatively low price. Staff was very friendly and helped me with all my needs, even let me have breakfast early because I needed to leave before the normal hours. I stayed here with my cat for 2 days, and there is an awesome pet store (Hond en Kat) that is about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Getting to Amsterdam by bus was easy too, and getting too/from the airport/train station by taxi/uber was also effortless

There are renovations going on expect to be woken up by ridiculously loud drilling about 7.30-8.00. Apparently the complaints are frequent but the hotel are refusing to tell people in advance that MAJOR work is going on.

The hotel was clean. Our room was facing west and was very hot at the end of the day, the AC didn't seem to work so well. The second night, the receptionist moved us to a room across the room though and the temperature was more pleasant. The breakfast is simple but enough. It was good. But the hotel has to review the shower location condition for the standard triple room. My friends and I had to take turn to take a shower. When one of us took a shower. The rest of us had to go downstairs and wait until each person finished showering. It's half see through shower. So showering whilst the we all wait in the room was a no go! Unless you wanted to peep each other naked.

The Ibis Budget Hotel is a quiant place on the out skirts of Amsterdam Netherlands although the staff English was poor they were quite friendly we spent two nights there they cater for different cultures and ecnicty as far as I could see but they only had one station on the television in English. There WiFi was free and unlimited they had plugs Europe type plugs which was a major inconvenience for me. There breakfast which costed 8eur a person consisted of the reqular European breakfast as they say When IN ROME all the choices I selected was definitely satisfactory after the nights were over and we were checking out i quickly swept the room to see if I left anything unfortunately I was surprised with a used condom under the bed this simple mean they did not take the time to properly clean the rooms of this hotel who knows how long this condom has been under that bed waiting patiently to be found and discarded. I believe the condom is still under that bed gathering dust and everything else.

Located in a light industrial area far from any amenities, this ibis is not a great value. The room was hot, when the window was open the road noise was loud. The sheets were not changed in 8 days. You do not want to look under the bed...floors were dirty. There were stains on the walls. On the positive side there was a bus within 2 minutes which was critical to go anywhere. Bike rental was expensive but good. Breakfast was basically meat and bread..not impressive. The price went up to 1598 Euros on the weekend plus 7 euros per person per night. The beds were at best ok; the part I couldn't get over was the shower is in the same room as your bed. I was with a friend and not a spouse or partner so showering was a little ackward.....one of us had to leave the room for a period of time. Bathroom walls were like toilet paper and you can hear everything so no privacy in your room.
I was also disappointed that there was no room safe to lock my belongings in.

Misleading location and disorganized staff
The location of this hotel is actually not in Amsterdam, but approximately 20 minutes away in another small city. A bus will take you into the city for about 5 euros each way. When we arrived, there was a huge line. Staff had lost room key cards and were scrambling. After about an hour, we were given a staff person's personal access card to get into the room and use the power. This all being said, the hotel was clean and had a comfortable bed.
