Potential, but a waybto go

The hotel has potential, staff dooing their best, but clearly most of them are amateurs. Every night the restaurant was visited by several mice, same in the bar. Not good hygene in areas where food is made/served.

When is a.double bed not a double bed

Dreadful, I left clear.notes with the booking to say if this wasnt an actual double mattress then they must reject the booking because I cannot sleep in a single bed. And yes, this was 2 single beds barely pushed together, couldnt sleep either night as the beds kept separating and I would fall.on the floor, really disappointing and I expect a.refund based on 2.nights of no sleep and taking my booking when I expressly said I need a double mattress

Although the hotel is located by the high way, the location is great, close to Amsterdam and the seaside and lots of great outdoor things to do.
Spa and gym is very clean and pool is very big. The family rooms are very spacious! We had a lovely stay!

Dissatisfied and let down.

The minute we arrived we noticed that our sink in the toilet was blocked, the phone line to the reception was not working either so we walked up to the reception TWICE to inform them but they’ve let us down we had to use the bath sink for our 3 days stay. There was lots of dust and some rubbish under our bed that wasn’t cleaned before we came. Not happy for this service, we payed a lot of money and are disappointed.

Enjoyable hotel with a lot of amenities. Was surprised there was no toaster available at breakfast. Breakfast was good but far overpriced for what was on offer. Pool and saunas were a nice treat and I enjoyed having a patio to smoke on. Would definitely stay here again.

Large repairs taking place, workmen woke me 6.30am with hammering and banging. Rang reception to complain and To get them to stop but nothing done.
They shouldn’t book out the rooms next to repair works, or instruct workmen not to start work before 9am.
I was more annoyed that the receptionist just didn’t care when I complained at the time and during checking out

Nice hotel, located next to the A9 highway , but nevertheless without any inconveniences of the highway. The rooms are quite big and clean. Nice swimming pool and fitness room. Great choice at breakfast !

i stayed two nights at this hotel.the second night i noticed that my bed was not properly done.when i tried to fix the bed i found out the most disgusting and filthy mattress cover .it was full of stains and hair and it looked that it was never been replaced in years!!!!! i did a lot of travelling in my life and this was the worse experience that i ever had in hotels stay. i informed the manager of the front desk about this situation and the she offered was either to change the sheets or change the room. of course i did not have the most convenient sleep night . the bed is the most sacred part of any decent hotel.

A great business class hotel

Stayed for one night as part of a roadtrip. Main reason we chose it was the closeness to Amsterdam and the huge car park (not wanting to worry about finding a space after 8 hours of driving).

Very nice hotel - two restaurants, a large bar with outdoor seating as well. Large pool, well equipped gym, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom high-tech - underfloor heating!

Good service, good food (although we only ordered bar snacks), a very quiet and deep sleep. Overall a great stay.

Local area: Took about 10 minutes to drive to Zaans Schan, and 35 minutes to Central Amsterdam.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Excellent staff and service. Very clean hotel,nice pool,sauna & hot tub.The breakfast was also very good with lots of options. Used the restaurant only once and the food was good there as well.Location is in a quaint little town with a free park and ride not too far (6 Kms) to take a train to Amsterdam. Enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend it.

Worth every penny of my stay and more!

I was totally impressed with this hotel and have to stay it's the best I've never stayed in with a dog. It's big, clean, tidy, well staffed and well cleaned. Food it amazing, as are the room and the whole impression of the hotel chain. Loved the fact they had 'dog rooms' and the pooches could also be taken to dinner in the evening.

A break with a difference

What a beautiful hotel, the spa was amazing, the room was spotless & the food was one of the best tasted throughout my stay in Amsterdam. A car is a must with this hotel as is situated in the middle of greenary and a high way (no noise heard in the room) If you have a car the journey to Dam square is only 20 minutes. Overall this hotel was money well spent & I would love to return

We were a little hesitant about staying at this hotel after finding some not so pleasant reviews about it, but our stay was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable bedding. The restaurant has wonderful food and an exceptional breakfast buffet. The pool and fitness area are very nice. The location is wonderful for exploring the countryside and flower fields by car or bike. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

A very convenient stop

I've stayed here several times - it's comfortable, clean, quiet, with a good restaurant, plenty of parking and only 30 seconds from the A9. It's not exactly full of character but it's ideal for a night or two. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

Hotel is 30 min far from Amsterdam with no proper transportation (taxi costs 70 to 80 €)

No room service (only for suits) and when I tried to buy some bread from downstairs, they refused to take it to my room.

They charge extra cost for baby crib.

Tip top service. No complaints. Awesome buffet. Beautiful to bike around the 'meers. No complaints. one comment- perhaps did not read website closely enough as rental bikes were 10 euro/ per person (or so) per day which is reasonable of course but had thought when I called they were included. Would stay again!

This was not our first time there so we did know what to expect. The only thing that ticked us off was having booked online you did not or were not offered a discount for staying multiple nights when they are being offered I the magazines left in the rooms.
The staff was very curtious and friendly,well dressed and neat looking.
We will definitely go back if we are privileged to return to the Netherlands.

On arrival, hotel looked busy - lots of people in bar / restaurant. Check in was easy, with staff helpful. However, on arrival to room, room was freezing (temperature outside -2) - bedroom heating was turned off and the room also had stale cigarette smell. I put the heating on high and went to the bar for an hour. On return to room, it was still chilly (and smelly).

On arrival to room on second evening, again room was chilly.

On my last morning, I used the swimming pool. There were no towels at poolside - had to go in the gym to obtain towels to use. The swimming pool is dated - lots of cracked / repaired tiles. Changing rooms were dirty and had broken benches - the whole pool area / changing rooms are in complete contrast with the rest of the hotel which is clean / well maintained / visually attractive.

I did not use the gym, but it looked to be clean and had lots of machines / weights, etc and appeared well maintained.

Breakfast was excellent - probably the highlight of the stay. Lots of choices - cooked breakfast including fried eggs, croissants, Danish pastries, pancakes, fruit / meat / cheese...

Overall, it looks to be a good hotel, but too many things letting it down - room heating / swimming pool maintenance. Hotel is not easily accessible by train - either relying on lifts / taxis / own vehicle, won't be stopping here again.

All ok other than the long distance involved of getting to and fro. Allow 10 minutes to get to reception and restaurant if you are in one of the furthest away rooms! Room service was mentioned in the room info pack but not available for most rooms, I guess it would be cold by the time it reached you. Room spacious and comfortable with lovely big bath. Food in the restaurant was quite adequate and quickly served even though it was busy. WiFi was not particularly good (again this may have been due to the distance involved)

The hotel needs to improve its house-keeping

Booked a family room for 3 nights. The room smelled badly when we first entered the room. The radiator is covered in dust. The wardrobe has spider web. The drinking cup tray is dirty. The room looks like it wasn't cleaned properly. The house keeping staff acted as if they hadn't received proper training. The swimming pool looks dated and lack of maintenance. There was 2 power cuts and the staff blamed the area. Surprised the hotel doesn't have a backup generator. In any case the hotel doesn't match a 4 star standard.

Wonderful hotel, great food, fab location.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in. You got a real feeling of luxury, we stayed in a double queen bed comfort suite for the first 3 nights, jacuzzi bath and gorgeous rain shower. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night but there was no family rooms available so we had two standard rooms. Expecting them to be less plush, nope they were gorgeous. Breakfast is amazing and a must to set you up for the day ahead. We also had lunch and dinner on different days and was more than happy with the food and prices considering the standard of hotel. Service was top notch, couldn't do enough for you. Shame that leave of customer service isn't common place back home. Only a 19min drive from the beach, 30min from Ansterdam. Can't wait to book another trip. Came away feeling spoilt and pampered.

Hotel is huge! Walking to your room the first time one can get turned around. The rooms are a good size.

This hotel was ok but not exceptional. The building is rather uninspiring though the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was over priced (c. 12 Euro per person) for a nice but simple buffet. We suffered from very noisy neighbours (music etc) pretty much all night. Parking was OK but pay attention if you're approaching from the south; the junction is well sign posted but the view of the hotel is obscured by a bridge until the last moment and it would be easy to miss.

Very nice and fancy hotel, ideal for honeymooners.

We choose this hotel because we were traveling by car and we needed a place with free parking. The hotel is beautiful, although its layout is quite labyrinthine and finding your room could take some time until you learn how to find your way around.

The food in the hotel restaurant is very nice and tasty (nicely made sushi and the best Chateaubriand filet I had ever eaten) and the staff was very professional and dedicated.

Lovely hotel with excellent restaurant

I found that the hotel room was big and spacious with very comfortable beds and good shower. The only problem with the room was there was no air conditioning and unluckily we had warm weather. The services were excellent including a top tier restaurant. The hotel was slightly out of town but with a car (which we had) that was no problem. I would highly recommend the hotel.

Superb value

This is a huge resort hotel north of Amsterdam. It's right off the motorway and easy to find. The staff was friendly and helpful, although it lacked the personal atmosphere of the small family owned hotels. Dinner was quite good and breakfast was superb, which was good considering that there are not many local restaurants nearby. The room was very large with many added features. The hotel has swimming and other recreation available.

Overall a superb value for your money.

The building is so large that it's easier for me to navigate the Pentagon

Good points.Big clean room with a very big.comfortable bed.Staff were pleasant and there was plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet.
Bad points.The room was a little dark and gloomy and hard to find your way about because the hotel was so large.

Great hotel with very nice rooms and a large TV. Great facilities, large pool, bubblebath and saunas. Excellent location close to Alkmaar, right next to the motorway exit and on-ramp. Very friendly service in reception.

Very unprofessional security. Reception sent me around the building, as my room was in the opposite end by the other entrance. Right as I enter by the other exit, I am confronted by a very hostile security guard who is shooing me away. I show him my room key card, and he tells me that I am not allowed to enter from that entrance in a very angry manner. I was shocked at this behavior, and I went back to the reception, where a young lady apologized and told me that I was allowed through said entrance.

Overall, good stay.

Wir haben das Frühstück erst bei der Ankunft dazu gebucht und es wurde automatisch nicht ins System übertragen, so dass wir beide Male beim Betreten des Speisesaals angehalten wurden und die Rezeption zur Hilfe holen mussten, die dann bestätigte, dass das Frühstück doch bezahlt wurde.
Angenehm große und saubere Zimmer. Angefangene Duschgels werden bei der Reinigung des Zimmers entsorgt und neue Fläschchen werden hingestellt. Eigentlich total verschwenderisch aus meiner Sicht. Aber ok.

Sehr gutes Gesamtkonzept mit Restaurant, Bar und Kasino. Ausreichend Parkplätze, und eine überdachte, nachts verschlossene Abstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Es gab nichts relevantes zu beanstanden.
Man befindet sich allerdings an der Autobahn im An/Abflugbereich von Schiphol. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Eine schöne Anlage mit motiviertem Personal.

Das Hotel ist ein einziger Saustall.
Die Betten waren nicht gemacht, das Bad wurde nicht geputzt, die Gänge waren schmutzig, im Restaurant ist schlechtes Personal gewesen, das Frühstück war sehr spartanisch, der Aufzug hat gestunken, die Außenanlagen waren vor den Türen mit Vogelkot verunreinigt, wurden nicht gesäubert, man musste jeden Tag da durchlaufen. Eine einzige Schweinerei.
Nie mehr in dieses Hotel!

Was a nice hotel. The people at the desk were very nice and efficient. The room was large and had a outside patio w chairs. But the room was not well cleaned. The floors were dusty and had different hairs around the room. There was a pair of mens dirty underwear under the radiator that I had to gather up and throw out otherwise my wife wouldn’t stay in the room.

1) zu laut, da Fenster nicht gedämmt; liegt direkt an der Autobahn und Einflugschneise Flughafen
2) zu teuer für angebotene Leistung
3) unfreundlicher Empfang
4) Badezimmer hätte sauberer sein können
