Cons: The bathroom light is on a motion sensor. Which means in the middle of the night if you want to use bathroom you get full light. It stays on for 15mins. No cooling -room stuffy and if you open window cigarette smoke wafts in.

Great level of cleanliness in the room and the staff were very helpful. The communal areas were also very clean and pleasant to sit in. Good free coffee and hot chocolate for the kids. Our stay exceeded expectations. A short 10 minute bike ride into the centre of Haarlem.

Haarlem Ibis

On entering this hotel it was clean and tidy, staff very efficient and quick to check us in. Tea coffee at reception and never ending. Room clean and looking new and great view of the cross roads.

We had one overnight stay and found the hotel was very clean and comfortable; The reception staff were efficient and friendly and the breakfast was very good.
There is about a 30 minute walk into the centre of town but local transport can be used. We would highly recommend the hotel.

We have moved to Haarlem from Berlin and needed a hotel for a night whilst waiting for furniture van to arrive. The staff were really helpful and gave us the dining room to relax and eat in as we ordered food. The two young children slept really well in the family room. Thank you for the excellent start in a new country.

As the reviews indicate, Ibis Styles Bloemendaal is new, clean, and reasonably priced. It might be ideal for a car-driving tourist. The 1 kilometer walk to the station passes through the pleasant suburban neighborhood.

Very nice and in a good location in Haarlem. Beware, the taxi's are ridiculous from Schiphol Airport. No joke we spent $67 on the 15 minute trip. Wish they would add a shuttle.

Great stay, bit sad it was only for one night. The bed is super comfortable and I did not hear the alarm. I blame the bed...
Staff is great, friendly and helpful.
Did not get a chance to try the breakfast but looked great.

We had a disturbing and unpleasant experience at the IBIS hotel Haarlem, It was freezing cold outside, and inside the room the heating did not work, we asked to move us to an other room, the reception told us that all rooms are the same, they closed the central room heating system for the night, finally they gave us extra blankets A NIGHTMARE !!!.
When checkout they even did not want to take responsibility,
It is the first and las time I'll book a room in IBIS Haarlem.

Perfect for the traveller

Lovely comfortable stay at the Ibis Styles Haarlem. Delightful staff & good sized room. Bed just the right firmness for a good night’s sleep & the shower quite powerful & spacious. Very clean & well laid out hotel. Perfect place to stay if you are travelling by car. €5 per day for parking with video surveillance, so security is good. Breakfast was fine, probably not the full menu due to COVID restrictions, but still tasty & filling. Would stay here again.

Stayed here to break up a trip and discover a bit of North Holland. Hotel was broadly clean and staff friendly. Location not great and paid a LOT of money for a hotel with minimal features in the end. No fridge in room, no proper wardrobe and fairly basic buffet breakfast. If it wasn’t cheaper I wouldn’t be complaining but for the money I’ve stayed elsewhere in city centres with these standard features.

Good value stay at basic no frills hotel. very clean and in good condition as still relatively new. If you don't have a car local train station is 10min away or alternatively bus route the same. Didn't have WIFI which is unusual and small bar.

The hotel was comfortable and perfectly adequate for me needs, although I feel it was somewhat over-priced. Having said that, it was a \"big\" tourist weekend in Haarlem and that was probably the reason for the pricing.
I found that the air conditioning/heating unit didn't work properly and, unfortunately, I don't think that my room was cleaned thoroughly enough.

Great personal service. I needed to store my bike for the night and was assisted with the hole process when checking in. The room was slightly stuffy, the air would not come on. There was a window I could open. Great location by the airport with shuttle service.

Modern, comfortable, but not quite Haarlem 'city'

Stayed here for a few days on a short visit to the lovely city of Haarlem. The 24hr check-in was welcome as I arrived around 12pm, although I had to change rooms within minutes of my arrival due to fire safety testing. In fact, there were several works and improvements being conducted during my stay, although the staff were very clear on what was happening and when, and they didn't seem to have much impact on my visit. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, (both of them), and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
The only issue I had was the location, which, at 1.7km from Haarlem's train/bus station, I would not describe as 'Haarlem city'. Whilst lying at the edge of a pleasant and quiet residential area, the main tourist sights were all some distance away from the hotel, which meant a lot of tedious walking to and from the city during my visit. Whilst I do not expect the hotel's owners to move it closer to the city, they could perhaps consider naming it 'Haarlem north', or even 'Bloemendaal', as it lies much closer to that town than Haarlem itself. Aside from this, I had a very pleasant stay

Nice hotel, clean and easy to find. Just note if you stay during a hot weather spell: We were disappointed with the temperature of the room. Room was advertised as having air conditioning but instead, had “air cooling” which did nothing to lower the temperature of 26 degrees. We were on a high floor so window was locked. Reception gave us a fan, but was a bit frustrated as we had booked with the air con provision in mind.

A good option for Zandvoort and Haarlem

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a relative new hotel so everything is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Only downside was the location being on the outskirts of town. Possible for some to walk, but my husband was unable too. No restaurant on site either. Apart from that we had a very comfortable stay and a good breakfast.

brand new hotel on the outskirts of Haarlem - about a 20 minute walk to the Main Railway Station. Not much to do in the vicinity but hotel was very comfortable and clean, staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but plentiful with hot (eggs, sausages) and cold (cheese and ham) buffet, plenty of bread, croissants, cereals etc. Breakfast got very busy as it was obviously a popular hotel for people visiting Amsterdam and local area, which was a 20 minute train journey away. Will stay again when next in the area.

Delightful Haarlem - good alternative to Amsterdam

This is a lovely new hotel. Super comfy beds, spacious bathroom with lovely shower, and a good selection of food for breakfast. Free hot drinks were available throughout the day from the lounge/reception area. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was first class. It was a delightful 10 minute walk from Bloemendaal station (direct trains to Amsterdam every 30 mins or so) and an equally lovely 20 minute walk from Haarlem town (very frequent direct trains to Amsterdam). Haarlem is a great alternative (and this hotel a value for money alternative) to Amsterdam, which is really easy to get to anyway, but you get a different perspective of the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Hotel nice and clean. Breakfast/lounge area really good. Breakfast itself was fine. Free tea and coffee at any time in the lounge area was a lovely touch. Room fine, though I’m not sure what it was made of but we all found the bedding a bit hot. Staff friendly and welcoming. Easy to park. In a nice area, a 10 min walk from the nearest station from which you can travel directly to Amsterdam. It’s worth bearing in mind that the hotel is a good 20 - 30 min walk to the city centre though. It’s a really pleasant walk through a lovely residential area, but there is no restaurant on site, and none nearby, so unless you want to drive to the city centre it can be a bit of a drag getting dinner, especially after a long day out. On the whole we had a great stay and loved Haarlem!

Nice stay, friendly staff easy walk to train station (Bloemendaal) with direct links into the city center. The kids corner helped keep my children busy at meal times and the rooms were nice and quiet even though next to a busy motorway. Staff friendly, polite and helpful and the hotel was very secure. Great hotel for families

We stayed at this hotel as a base to get in/out of Amsterdam easily as well as visit surrounding attractions. It’s an easy 10 min walk to the train station. The rates of this hotel were significantly cheaper than staying in Amsterdam. The rooms were spacious for our family of 4.

Environmentally Conscientious and brand New Feel

The room included comfortable beds, warm comforters, cubby-style shelving, and desk. Very clean and enough elbow room for two. The room card controls the elevator and room lighting, so energy is not wasted when you're not around. Tasty and wide breakfast selections - it goes way beyond rolls, juice, and coffee. The staff was helpful when seeking local shopping areas and with getting around using public transportation. A slight warning to those with smell sensitivities: the 'new smell building' lingers since it's only been operating for 3 months as of March. Most definitely, a very good place to stay!
