A good location with just 10-15 minute walk from the Train station and also from all the main parts of Haarlem such as the shopping area and restaurants/bar areas. Room was spotless and really nice decor. Bathroom was small but more than adequate. It had a fantastic shower.

Contrary to first impressions the property was a high priced budget hotel. No extra coffee, Queen bed was two twin beds. No phone. And room temperature was only controllable from front desk.

This was a comfortable hotel and walkable to interesting sites/downtown and the train station, also local art academy. Mild negatives: AC worked but no windows open, hotel doors locked sometimes during day, beds comfortable but pillows were old and stuffing in pieces. We did not eat breakfast. I’ve stayed at this property several times, if that tells you anything. My most recent stay was at least my third - perhaps my 4th? - time staying here.
The staff are friendly, it’s on or near several bus-lines and is relatively close to the center of Haarlem. If you choose to do the breakfast, it’s fairly worth the price.
One thing I miss is that they used to offer a perk that if you turned down room-service, they would give you a voucher for a free non-alcoholic beverage as a thank you for helping reduce your carbon footprint. They’ve apparently discontinued this perk. I’m guessing it didn’t make financial sense.
Anyway, aside from that, I always enjoy staying here and it meets my needs.
The one downside is no coffee or tea in the room, but you can go downstairs and make yourself a cup in the morning - which I always did.

I have stayed here a few times now and have enjoyed it each time.
This time unfortunately there was a problem with the Hotel not having Hot Water for 3 / 4 days and this meant that Hot showers were not available.
There was also another minor problem with the Fire Alarm going off at 4.30am one, this is turned out to be a false alarm, and this was dealt with by the Management and Staff without any great fuss.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to avoid the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam but still be close enough to experience it.

Stayed three nights the Marathon weekend. So glad we did. Haarlem is lovely and great to dip in and out of Amsterdam which was packed. Travel is super easy and all close to the hotel. The Holiday Inn was perfect- very clean, great bed and shower so great value. Would really recommend as a way of visiting Amsterdam.

It was really convenient. Only reason to not get five stars is that the front- desk staff is pretty sparse. They were helpful but seemed restricted on account of being alone. The amenities were not not all usable due to low staff. Also, I bought a bunch of touristy gifts and there was no bag for me to bring it up to my room: so night watch guy had to lock down the building and carry up in his own arms what I could not. Possible for you guys, when having a well-stocked gift shop, to have some grocery-like bags provided for 25 cents or something? The size of the room was great, and the hotel as in a perfect location.

The hotel is in a fairly convenient location, and front desk staff were friendly. Our room was really small--not a lot of space to put our stuff or move around, and the bathroom was tiny. Also, you need to keep your room key in a key holder by the front door to power the lights in the room, but the light switches for everything were by the door, which made going to the restroom at night annoying because you had to go around the bathroom door to get to the light switch--inconvenient. There was also no fan in the restroom and the hotel room windows do not open, so when you use the restroom or take a steamy shower, be prepared for that to just linger in your hotel room with you!

Lovely hotel. When we arrived we found our TV didn’t work. A room swap wasn’t immediately available, but we were given a free breakfast in compensation and the next day we were able to move to a superior room. All done with absolutely no fuss. The hotel was absolutely lovely! We were warmly welcomed by the people who work there. They answered all of our questions about Haarlem. The rooms were very clean and cheerful as was the rest of the hotel. It just had a very nice, warm, clean vibe about it. I also liked the location as we could venture out to different parts of the town and easily find our way back. We were also able to walk to and from the train station. It’s a 10 minute train ride to the beach and a 20 minute train ride to Amsterdam city center. Very convenient!

Overall the location is excellent and the hotel is clean and feels new/modern. A short walk to the train station and lots of buses nearby. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and bars, which was nice except for us it ended up being too close on Kings Day (you could hear the music and crowds outside until they shut down around midnight). We rented bikes from the hotel, and we enjoyed riding bikes around town (very easy) and even to Keukenhof (which took a bit over an hour at a leisure pace). There wasn't any coffee/tea in the room, but we were able to get some downstairs. FYI there's 1 bottle of multipurpose body soap/shampoo. I had my own shampoo, so I used that instead. TV had local channels, no streaming options.

The first evening that we were there, my husband took a shower. He cut it short when he realized that the shower wasn't draining. He went downstairs to let the front desk know and had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to show up. We were told that we could move to a bigger room. We had to make four trips between two floors by ourselves, including one trip with the coffee maker and kettle, since the new room didn't have them. It also was a smaller room, not bigger, as told.

When I booked this was one of the cheaper hotel options available in Haarlem and it was a very enjoyable stay. The rooms are nice. We opted for the larger size room. We didn't have breakfast as we chose to have a late brunch in the town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room but they have a coffee pod machine and non-English tea bags so if this isn't your thing then bring your own tea and coffee.
It's about 10 minutes walk to the centre area of Haarlem so was in a decent location and it is reasonably close to the station - short bus ride.
All in all we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel so I would recommend it.

The Haarlem location was so well run, the house keeping staff were helpful, I cannot wait to return! I cannot say enough about what a great week I had. Haarlem is a beautiful town, easy transportation, great shopping. Great french fry shop just down the street with such amazing fries, sauces and a friendly young man working there. “Brownie and Downie” a local restaurant with carry out across the street from the restaurant had such a great menu and the prices were reasonable. So many choices and the opening of Keukenhof gardens was unforgettable. Will miss it greatly!
