We stayed for four nights. The reason we chose this hotel is they offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. When traveling, your time is most important because you cannot get it back. The employees at this hotel and at their sister hotel do not understand the importance of not wasting the customer's time. The shuttle was never on time. We always had to wait. Once we waited over an hour at the sister hotel for the shuttle to come pick us up. After the shuttle arrived, the driver was very upset with us that he was going to have to take us to the sister hotel. This occurred during the day and normal working hours, not at night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The keys to the rooms did not open the doors. A lot of customers had to return to the front desk to have their keys redone so they would open their door. the staff never apologized or took responsibility for the error; Some of them even laughed and blamed the mistake on another staff member. All the staff I encountered acted as if I had all the time in the world to spare and that I was there to appease them instead of them appeasing me. They tried to reflect their errors and mistakes onto me. When an error occurred and it was often and not just with me but with others as well, the staff would say it was the customer's fault. The staff acted as if the customer could go behind the counter and correct the staff's mistakes. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. IT IS NOT A GOOD HOTEL .

fridge in one of the rooms was not working, found out after coming back from city with items that need to be in the fridge (cheese/meats etc.,). raised issue with staff before bed, said it will be replaced next day as they cannot do anything anymore since its tool ate. nexdt day still not replaced, raised issue again in the evening, still same response. raised issue in the morning and finall y was replaced, but spent 2/3 nights without any fridge available in the room. also bought 3 rooms, one with 2 beds and 2 with king size beds, but all 3 had separate single beds.

Hotel is decent. However the shuttle service was annoying. On the website they said theres a free shuttle service, but you will need to get off at a bestwestern and transfer to this hotel. Nothing said about reserving. The time table shows around 15mins. We take the first shuttle and get off to transfer, we are waiting about 30 mins, the second shuttle still doesnt show. We go into the best western to ask them. Front desk says she doesnt know might be 30’mins to an hour ( we are only 5 mins away from the hotel..) she says the driver doesnt know. She told another guest that the driver is stubborn so no one knows…. We ended up taken an uber because the whole thing was a waste of time. At the hotel its written you have to make a reservation for the shuttle for the next morning. We ask if this is direct or another transfer situation. He says all the morning shuttles are direct. But it was not. Make sure you call ahead if you want to take the shuttle when you arrive to Amsterdam even thought their website says it continues to run all day/night.

The drivers from the shuttle buses were punctual and very kind. The breakfast was good and variate. Me and my husband spent beautiful moments at this accommodation. The hotel was a bit hard to find because the driveway is kind of hidden behind bushes. The hotel is relatively modern, has 2 levels and has a great restaurant and bar attached. The breakfast buffet is amazing and worth the extra money. Check in was fast and easy and the room was on the ground floor as I requested. The bed was very comfortable. You have to insert your key into a receptacle to turn the power on in the room.

The corridor dirty had not been vacuumed. Tried to have dinner in restaurant, they did not communicate that they did not receive food order, the service was shocking. Waited long time to even get a drink, eventually managed to place our food order, told no potato or chips, we then agreed on salad replacement. After about 1 & half hours managed to get our chicken wings started which was over cooked and dry. Waited so long for our mains only to eventually after 3 hours in restaurant be told they have no food on main menu only soup. Have just never experienced anything so poor, Words cannot describe the horror experience. After 4 hours in restaurant managed to only have 3 dried chicken wings & bowl of soup with roll. If they communicated from the start they did not have food we could have gone somewhere else at 18.00, but 22.00 too late as had no transport to try get somewhere else to get food. Service and communication was shocking. Worst hotel experience ever, unfortunately cannot recommend them to anyone

The bathroom door is translucent so you can see everything that the person inside is doing - no privacy at all! This is the same at every Bastion Hotel. There was a nespresso machine but only 2 capsules provided. Airport shuttle was very unreliable. We waited 45 min (9:00-9:45am) for the shuttle to turn up. Good size car park. It was an ok stay.

Very unpleasant stay. The room was not clean at all. The bathroom is dark and no bath towels and other basics facilities. When I complain with the guy about the dust in the room , he just said that same has been cleaned in morning and nothing can be done. It’s do not seem to be very secured. A lady was complaining at the reception on Sunday that someone entered her room at night. This is not a recommended hotel at all.

I stayed for an enforced stop over due to weather and cancelled flight, only there for 3 hours sleep and the shower was luke warm. The staff were great even dealing with a grumpy and tired customer. I left some stuff at the hotel and they were very efficient and willing to send it home.

Overall it was a great place to stay. The rooms were excellent for the price. My only quibble was ghat some maintenance needed to be done (door handles hanging off) and more regular vacuuming (very muddy stairs for 2 days). The staff were beyond excellent, very good indeed.

Despite of the fact that it functions as an airport hotel, there is no elevator at this hotel. Also sink is badly designed that is simply dysfunctional. I like this hotel chain, but this specific location is not my favorite.

Location isn't great for public transport but there are buses just have a bit of a walk to get it. BAD points and sadly for me the reason I won't stay again is I'm afraid I like my sleep, especially when booking a airport hotel which usually as most do I'm sure, means I have an early am flight.

Nice small hotel, clean, good enough for a 1 night stay. Have to take 2 shuttles from Schiphol Airport but they are very well coordinated, as you arrive, the next shuttle is waiting right there. I had 2 single beds but very comfortable, coffeemaker and fridge in room, alse free 2 bottles of water. Didn’t eat at the hotel so I wouldn’t know about the food, but breakfast sure smelled good. I don’t think this is a hotel where you wanna stay for a length of time, since it’s kinda isolated near an industrial park. Free secured wifi in room.

Very very confusing about the Bastion Hotels near the Amsterdam Airport. One is called Bastion Hotel Schiphol Hoofddorp which is much smaller, not near anything and cheaper. You must take the shuttle to the other larger hotel (called Bastion Hotel Airport Hoofddorp) for the direct shuttle to the airport. There were 3 couples on the shuttle which booked what they thought was the larger hotel and ended up at the smaller one.

I mixed this hotel up with Bastion De Luxe Hotel, also located in Hoofddorp. Staff at the reception and at the breakfast buffet was very friendly. Rooms are small, and the sink in the bathroom was so small that bearly my hands fit in ... washing my face properly was nearly impossible. Transport to AMS is via Bastion De Luxe Hotel, you have to change transport. Consider 15 min more ... Rooms very clean.
