Beautiful location, excellent service and menu

Our third stay when visiting family. A beautiful hotel, well appointed rooms, shower to die for, the royal suite with balcony is gorgeous. The menu and delivery in the restaurant is exquisite.

Can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.

The hotel is located in a parkland in a charming village just outside The Hague. One short walk and one metro stop brings you to the center of town. The hotel is really a country house and is very well appointed with a great looking terrace and grounds. The rooms are modern and very well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant's focus is on fine dining and it was. The staff are pleasant and accommodating.

WONDERFUL!

What a surprise! The hotel is set amid a beautiful park within walking distance of the charming town. The room was beautiful and the Hastens mattress was phenomenal. The restaurant was lovely, serving elegantly prepared dishes.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be near the Hague. The setting is in a park and a ten minute walk to shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities. The staff was terrific and professionally handled an issue that occurred with our reservation. Great breakfast options.

The room could have been cleaner, no towels in room when we arrived. No body wash, shampoo or shower supplies.

Need signage to for hotel as it was not easy to find as the only indication is it is a casino. The receptionist was very helpful for checking in/out. Breakfast was good, no the restaurant except in the casino. This was fine and worth eating in.

Smart area and a tylish hotel.

Would stay again but food over elaborate, costly and you get served child portions. We ordered, to go with our main, the seasonal vegetables. Turned out that seasonal vegetables meant a single seasonal vegetable which was ...courgette.

The room was a nice size with a nice sized ensuite with two sinks but no bath.

Our stay at Central Park by Ron Blaauw was amazing. The hotel is an incredible boutique hotel with comfortable, stylish rooms, bar and restaurant, in a scenic park close to The Hague downtown. Highly recommend you stay here if you are in The Hague.

Central Park - above expectations

Voorburg has been a favourite place for a break for us for over 20 years: handy (4mins by train) for Den Haag and easy travel across Holland, but a charming locale in itself with a lot of local interest and good restaurants. Our regular hotel there, the Movenpick, closed earlier this year so we tried Central Park. Our initial disappointment at loss of the usual hotel was replaced by pleasure, as Central Park proved excellent in every respect. Comfortable and pleasant room, very secure, good view over the park to the river excellent dinner and staff who really did everything to guarantee we had a perfect stay. We now have a new favourite hotel to stay in this area.

A wonderful homely quality hotel in a neighborhood one step out of downtown The Hague - we’ll worth the short cab ride to get there!
Set in a park, a large historic home, with real presence, charm, feel you just don’t get in concrete hotels.
I have just stayed in 5 hotels a new one each night in 5 cities countries, all at the same price point, and this one was by far the best.
Excellent modern bathroom, spacious walk in shower, under floor heating in the tiled bathroom, double large wash basins, huge mirror, exposed wood beams, high ceiling, soft quality cotton sheets.
Only gripe:no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Excellent restaurant in the building. Birdsong to hear when you wake up from the park outside. 7-8 mins walk from Voorburg station, only 1 stop (5 mins) from central station The Hague

We were disappointed with our reception. The receptionist took ages getting dinner guest their coats, then came back to the reception, moved her car keys from in front of us without acknowledging us in any way then went back to handing out coats. After about 10 minuets we had to ask a waiter if there was anyone else who could help us. Otherwise the stay was very good. We felt a bit sorry for the chap doing breakfast though as he was all by himself.

Beautiful Hotel

My only issue was I thought the breakfast was confusing and pricey. I'm a vegetarian so I would have preferred a buffet so I could pick what I like. Other then that small issue the hotel was gorgeous. My room was beautiful with lovely architecture. The room was a bit cold but the bathroom fan is heated so it made up for it. I would definitely stay again!

Brilliant boutique hotel

The hotel is brilliant in all aspects. Wonderful accommodation, brilliant restaurant - faultless boutique resort. We had a problem with the hire car (automatic Prius) and the staff were on the ball and got us moving. We stayed 2 nights to visit Keukenhof (marvellous) and it would have been great to stay for another 2. Wish we could transport it to Australia.

Very Elegant and convenient

Very nicely decorated hotel, close to a nice nature park, short walk to the town with shops and restaurants. The only downside was that there is no air conditioning at the hotel and I was unlucky to experience unusually hot weather - a fan was provided though.

We stayed 2 nights. Rooms were clean and had a chabby chic feel. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant food but breakfast offerings were not that great. Ample car parking but it is far from any train station.

Best hotel and dining experience in years!

I stay in many international hotels over the last 30 years but I was impressed by the beautiful contemporary and perfectly managed boutique hotel.
The excellent dining options (don't forget to make reservations) and personalized breakfast service (at very reasonable cost) are provided with \"friendly professionalism\".

Internet connectivity is best in class and free! Not suitable for airconditioning addicts, room windows open to park views and personal fans will be provided on request.
I was amazed how perfectly the young (well trained) staff worked seamlessly and efficiently with their more senior colleagues.
Neighborhood is the historic center of Voorburg and The Hague is 15 minutes drive ( car, bike or public transport). Free and well monitored parking on the hotel premises.
Beautifully appointed rooms and bath rooms.

The hotel has apparently recently changed management. This was fairly self-evident. The internet did not work well. There was a shortage of tea at breakfast. The staff didn't listen to what I asked them. They refused to give me boiled or mashed potatoes, hence I had to eat French fries that had been cooked several times and made me feel ill. Bread was served in brown paper bags. No bin liners in room. Maybe this is to save money or some kind of environmental initiative. Considering the location and the price this is not good enough. I won't be going back.

This hotel has recently changed management. This is rather obvious given the lack of organisation. Negative points: internet didn't work properly. Bathroom was very cold as well as the public areas of the hotel. Restaurant was poor. The waiter didn't listen to what I ordered and brought me a starter instead of a main course. Everyone in our group was obliged to eat the same greasy overcooked French fries. I asked for boiled or puree potatoes which was met with flat refusal. Bread was served in a brown paper bag. There were no bin liners or tissues in the room. Staff were over-familiar to the point of rudeness. Overall not a good experience given the price.

Lovely hotel but in the suburbs of The Hague

Small but splendid hotel located in Voorburg which is a few kms from the city centre. Connected to centre by bus service. Hotel restaurant is highly rated and has Michelin star but of course is pricey and does not entertain the idea of a light meal/snack. But surprisingly the nearby 'downtown' Voorburg has loads of restaurants and so no problem to find alternatives. Service in hotel is top notch - we arrived too early to check in but were given access to a room and bathroom to change and freshen up. I can't fault the hotel - other than it is out of the city centre but this suited us. Access to airport is ok but the metro line to airport is 15 mins walk or a bus ride away. But a taxi is a lot easier. Old world quality!!

A fantastic and relaxing night

We enjoyed a simple, classic, beautiful, and indulgent stay at the Savelberg. We arrived late, but were thrilled to be welcomed to our room with a plate of fruit and dessert bites as well as a nice bottle of water before a hot bath in a deep tub, and a great night's sleep in a comfortable bed. The breakfast included the next morning was absolutely delicious, with fresh eggs, a smoothie, and a fantastic bread basket with delicious (I assume homemade) jams...we were so impressed!

Brigadoon Revisited --

Savelberg is a very special place to be remembered. So, too, is Voorburg, its hometown outside Den Haag. The hotel staff is very attentive and helpful. The living quarters befit a top-flight accommodation and the breakfast oh so terrific and relaxing. We did not do dinner as they were booked up with a party, but reservations were made for us at a nearby and good restaurant. We will be back.

Stately, exquisite and sumptuous

Stately yet relaxed and friendly atmosphere at this grand estate in extended and lush 'Vreugd & Rust' formal park surroundings. It should be noted that the Michelin-starred restaurant is the main event at this property with the hotel business seemingly secondary. Nevertheless enjoyed fine personal attention by the hotel staff who made a special effort to accommodate this guest's needs. The standard room had all the expected conveniences such as full bath and designer toiletries. No air conditioning, though. The housekeeping staff kept the room clean timely and perfectly. Breakfast is a la carte and can be enjoyed in a stupendously appointed airy breakfast room with generously beautiful floral arrangements. Tall French doors give out onto a lovely terrace where meal service may be enjoyed, weather permitting. In-room breakfast is an option. Convenient and free parking was a plus for me. Even so, Voorburg train station with frequent connections to Den Haag Centraal, for further travel, is only a 10 minute walk. No swimming pool or other exercise facilities. Highly recommended, equally for business or romantic getaway guests. For couples with young children probably less so. Room rate that includes breakfast can make this a surprisingly reasonable priced lodging option. I stayed here on two occasions, both for multi-day stays. Plan to return without question whenever feasible. Staying here is for me a sumptuous treat.

Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr schönen, ruhigen und sauberen Gegend. Man kann direkt auf den hoteleigenen Parkplatz vorfahren. Das Gebäude hat sehr viel Charme, alles ist in hervorragendem Zustand. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Mein Zimmer Nr 6 war sehr geräumig, sauber, bot eine schöne Aussicht auf den Garten und den angrenzenden Park. Das Bett war sehr bequem und weich und ich habe hervorragend geschlafen. Nur wenn man eine härtere Matratze gewohnt ist, sollte man vielleicht vorher das Personal ansprechen. Ich kann das Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Vriendelijk, warm personeel! prachtig pand met allure. We hadden de Royal suite geboekt; prachtige ruime kamer. In totaal zijn er 3 royal suites, twee ervan met een prachtig balkon. Mocht je verzekerd willen zijn van een balkon, zorg dan dat dit van te voren geboekt wordt om teleurstelling te voorkomen. Verder heerlijk gedineerd; ik had het 4-gangen chefs menu; erg lekker en zeker smakelijk met een fles Ruinart blanc de blanc. Joey de Cruyf kwam regelmatig checken of alles naar wens was en om een gezellig praatje te maken. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed

We have not ever experienced the best relaxing time during our holiday until we stayed in Central Park, Voorburg. The room was clean and elegant. We loved so much its luxurious and the most comfortable bed, also the scented bathing set. We woke up fit and fresh in the morning to start the day and enjoyed the delicious breakfast. The room was cleaned everyday. The service was excellent! We were treated with kindness, politeness, and smile. As the hotel is located in the middle of the park, we enjoyed the perfect silence. Our little kid enjoyed seeing some animals in the mini zoo directly next to the hotel. It was the best decision to stay there, as we visited The Netherlands. We will surely come back again!

Een prachtig hotel in een klassiek pand in een parkachtige omgeving van het mooie Voorburg.
Wij hadden een prachtige ruime kamer met een Hästens bed waarin we heerlijk geslapen hebben. De badkamer is zeer ruim met twee wastafels en een heerlijke stortdouche. De kamer heeft een luxe afwerking. Vers fruit en koffie faciliteiten op de kamer.
Heerlijk gevarieerd ontbijt.
Wij gaan zeker nog een keer terug!

Angenehm aber etwas unachtsam und unpersönlich.

Im Zimmer war alles in Ordnung. Leider war das Personal - der Check-In ausgenommen - meistnicht vor Ort und wir mussten ihm ‚hinterherlaufen‘. Beim Frühstück kam niemand, wir mussten in der Küche nach Kaffee fragen. Beim Check-Out mussten wir ebenfalls nach dem Personal suchen, das wir dann wieder in der Küche fanden. Das Zimmer war einwandfrei, das Frühstück gut. Mehr Herzlichkeit, Service und Präsenz würde diesem 4 Sterne Hotel gut tun.

We kwamen smorgens al op tijd bij de receptie, het bureau staat wat naar achter waar de dame achter zat. Ze kwam niet van haar stoel af om ons te helpen. We hadden wat vragen wat ze wel beantwoorde maar het ging moeizaam.
Smiddags met inchecken zat er een man achter het bureau die behoorlijk chagrijnig was. Savonds stond hij in het restaurant. En waren stiekem blij dat hij niet in onze wijk liep.

Es ist ein wunderschön eingerichtetes nicht zu großes Hotel in ruhiger Stadtrandlage von Den Haag. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen im angeschlossenen Restaurant war innovativ und sehr lecker. Insbesondere das Dessert war ein krönender Abschluss.
Das Frühstück war reichlich und schmackhaft. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.
