We loved the hotel. The front desk was the best. They were helpful and nice.
It was super dog friendly and our dog loved seeing the smiling faces of the staff everyday!

This was our 3rd trip to Madrid. We had stayed around this area before so specifically chose this hotel for its proximity to the Gran Via and the Chueca neighborhood, our favorite for drinks and fun. The hotel was nice, room was clean however a bit tight.

This is a 3 star hotel!

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The room was tiny, not enough space to open our suitcase.
Location is great, close to the Gran Via. I prefer hotel Barcelo, down the street.

When we arrived to the hotel we found it difficult to get to it due to the construction around the hotel. Finally we got there and figured out where to park our rental car. The room was really warm. The air conditioner was working but not that great. The did provide us with a fan which helped. One thing I noticed is the room door did not automatically lock when we left. So we had to insert the key to lock the door. That’s not normal for most rooms so I’m glad I noticed before we left. I did like the location of this hotel because we could walk everywhere.

Absolutely awesome stay. Small boutique hotel, walking distance to everything. Strong wifi, awesome shower, excellent breakfast. Local (very affordable) restaurant downstairs and open late. Pizza was very good and beer is cheap. The only negative is the pack of bums that camp outside the Plaza del Carmen work zone smoking and drinking all night long. They’re loud at times but not much the hotel can do.

property was well located. Even though Plaza del Carmen is under construction the area is great. All was well until I entered the bathroom in the room. I realize they try to squeeze dimension to the max but entering the shower with 1 ft clearance from the toilet was ridiculous for a person 1'81m or 5'11\". Furthermore, thew shower head was broken so water wet everywhere. It reminded me of a lawn sprinkler wetting the entire bathroom. Having to use all the towels to dry the bathroom killed the theory of eco-friendly theme they project. We had to change 6 towels daily. A real pity because the staff was great.

It is very cute and the location is perfect. Did not like that we were in room 407 and we were four people. The room is for very short people as it is an attic. Very uncomfortable room with poor lighting. Nothing like the pictures and the AC does not work too well so it was very warm in the room.

The stay was good. The worst part is the property doesn't have parking and you have to park in a public parking that charges you 36 euros per day, and with the hotel discount, it becomes 26 euros per day. The AC of the room was not working properly, and the keys for the room had to be redone every time because it loses the magnet. For the rest, the stay was fine.

This property is well located, generally (see below) well run, and I would stay here again. It is near numerous bus and metro stops and there is plenty to do and eat within easy walking distance. The front desk is very helpful. My family of four with a 16 and a 23 year old got family room which was good but small for four (at least by US standards). The beds and shower were good.

One concern: On the second night the air conditioning unit for half the hotel failed (a big deal IMO). When I went down to the front desk at about 2am there was no one visible so I thought they didn't have 24 hour coverage (they do, clerk must have \"stepped away\"). When I complained at about 7:30am the clerk seemed genuinely surprised and said they would look into it. When I returned about 10am, he said I was correct and that lots of people complained. They fixed it that afternoon and after suggesting some adjustments were in order, they offered us free breakfast for the day which I thought was reasonable.

This hotel is closed!

What stay? Booked in the morning and paid in full for three days in advance.

Showed up that evening to find the hotel door chained and graffiti on the exterior. Another guest outside was equally perplexed as he had booked through another source.

While I did find a email from the hotel directing me to another nearby property, did not receive it before I’d booked an alternate hotel.

The location is extremely convenient with easy access to the airport (and almost anywhere in Madrid) using public transportation and a 15 minute walk away from Museo del Prado. Many restaurants nearby, including one that is rated as the best vegetarian restaurant in town, 40 metres away. Hotel staff could not have been nicer. My greatest chagrin was not having enough time to appreciate the fullness of the breakfast being offered. Internet worked _perfectly_ during my stay - 5 stars for them!

Location excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, very clean. Unfortunately I have two negative comments. First the room freshener used by cleaning staff is overpowering. Second , the cleaning staff removed my wife’s travel pillow. I am sure this was just a mistake but just the same my wife has neck problems and this caused her pain and loss of sleep. The hotel did offer to pay for a new pillow but we were unable to find one anywhere near the hotel. It might have been nice to then have a slight discount in our room rate, we did stay five nights. Overall I would recommend and would stay again.

My room had a d split rail ceiling that slanted down room the entrance to the far part of the room.. I could not stand staight up without hitting my head on the ceiling and I am not very tall!. You had to strep down three stairs to enter the room. The bathroom was at the top of the stairs.

Less than 5 minutes walk from del sol. Walkable, but not that noisy or too many people. Sound proof okay, a bit from the street at the midnight, occasionally water sound from neighbor, nothing too bad. There are drinking water and coffee at the lobby, convenient. WiFi works well in the room. Room in good size. Sink is outside the bathroom enclosure in the room, so can be used when another is showering, good when we have 4. A/C strong, even when turn to lowest fan still a bit loud. We have to turn it off for a couple of nights. Beds are comfortable. Good stay.
