I travel a lot and have never left a negative review. Front desk staff very young rude and slow, on her cell phone and made me wait until she was finished. The hotel itself is dated, dirty and the walls are paper thin and you can hear the occupants of the room next to you and above. The pool area is filthy. Unreal how poorly maintained this hotel is.

Nice amenities. Love the pool and the bar and cafe are nice. Although the cafe scrambled eggs looked like they may be fake. Weird texture and no flavor. All food options need an upgrade. The “fine dining “ restaurant served packaged lettuce for salads, and dressing served in plastic to go, The lighting is way too bright and the seating and tables feel like a slight upgrade from cafeteria style. Neec to get some nice private seating options, throw up some curtain panels to separate seating. Dim the lights by 50% And take your food presentation up a notch. The sheets were torn on one of the queen beds. For the price I expect better. But still enjoyed our stay.

I've been to Fairmont many times and I appreciate that they are doing their best to make upgrades. The room is fine, staff mostly fine. The food, especially what they are calling \"fine dining\" is a joke. Crab cakes that look and taste like they came out of the grocery store freezer section. Salad that is that cheap choped bag stuff. Pork chop so thin you could see through it. And what is with closing the pools at 10pm what am I, a child that has a cerfew. Most hot springs I have visited its at least 11.

I really didn't enjoy my stay. The deadbolt on my room didn't work and they had no way to repair it or to refund me. I ordered room service. My food came cold and undercooked. When I went to the restaurant in the morning, the wait staff was rude and forgot about me. Would never stay here again.

The front desk person looked like she would rather be anywhere but sitting at that front desk eating her chips. She couldn’t find our reservation, even with a copy of our Expedia reservation. She had to bring in a coworker to help and several minutes later they were able to locate it.

There was an excellent young staff member on duty at the pool. She was great with the kids! The indoor and outdoor pools were awesome. The hot tubs were great too! So nice to play outside in November. We’d love to come back and enjoy the frisbee golf course and try the hiking trails in the area.

it was just on right. No conditioner, no coffee no sugar or spinach. Salad didn’t have salad dressing for it and there were no towels for the swimming pools for the price. I was not satisfied.

When we tried to checkin at 3:30, an older lady with a huge attitude told us no and we had to wait. Then we overheard that the hotel was very low on guests so we got back in line and a nicer person checked us in immediately.
Our room had a massive gap in the door frame so anyone could enter by sliding a credit card in the lock area. So we had to keep our valuables in the car.
Restaurants were good. Aside from bad attitude lady everyone else was nice.

The front desk staff ranged from very informative and friendly, to cold and curt. The rooms were clean and well kept. Would have been nice to have been notified there was no AC in the rooms though, tried to turn down the thermostat and instead it blew hot air anyhow making sleep rather uncomfortable. Pools were nice and the outdoor bar was a plus. Dining at the Waters Edge was quite the disappointment and the management didn't seem to care. Overall a nice stay, but there are much better dining options in town.

Loved the hot spring pools the most and the rooms were okay but disappointed in the fact that housekeeping has to be asked to bring more towels or coffee or whatever you need. As much as you pay, it seems that they could come daily to give fresh towels, refill coffee, empty trash, etc. Four days without trash being emptied seems slacking.
Overall, a good stay, but a bit disappointed.

This property is “ok” at best. The staff is very short and unfriendly. The front desk ladies act put out when asked a question, the cleaning staff will not acknowledge you as they push there way past you on and off the elevator. The pool deck was left with garbage on it. The actual pool is very warn with paint chipping through out. The restraunt food is barely average. The rooms are decent but overall this place is just “ok” for the price you would think the staff would be a little more hospitable and the pool that they use as the draw to come would be cleaner without garbage all over the deck.

Front desk gal was fantastic, room was sort of clean - dusty & furniture hadn’t been moved in a long time to vacuum. Pool was good but the outdoor hot tub was a little dirty and was too hot, outside bar had limited adult beverages. Ordered dinner from the onsite cafe thinking they would be less expensive that the restaurant but that want the case. French Dip & Fish and Chips were $60. French Dip was good, Fish was rubbery and fried in old tasting oil plus the coleslaw was sour tasting and smelling. At $327 a night I just expected a little more attention to detail.

Clean rooms, dirty hot springs.

This was not a planned trip. We needed to stop on our way and we chose Fairmont because I have always loved the hot springs. The rooms have been updated since our last stay and were very clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the hot tubs were not very hot and very dirty at night and early morning so I know they were not emptied or cleaned at all overnight. Leaves, clothing pieces, chunks of hair, other unidentifiable yuck in the not- very- hot tub outside. The warm pools were cold. It was so disappointing. The only other complaint would be the morning coffee options. No complimentary coffee bar, which is fine if you offer something else. There was a lightly staffed \"coffee bar\" in the restaurant that had 1 employee that was not trained, at all. I felt so sorry that I was there trying to order just a plain black coffee. Plus, the rates on rooms has tripled, like every other MT resort, but they don't offer a \"stop and soak\" option any more for travelers. Our kids grew up stopping here on the way to or from vacation traveling, so it was sad that we couldn't stop for just a dip for a fee. The cafe was also very expensive for the type of bar food offered. I never leave such negative reviews but since we have had such great experiences here in the past 20 years, I had to do it, in hopes they fix and improve the hot springs and make it a better experience for MT locals.

You can hear conversation the next room as well as kids crying. The wallpaper is coming off in the room we were in. The police showed up in the pool area immediately after we we entered. A large group of teenage boys were in some kind of trouble. The young man manning the desk in the cafe is clueless. We came in for dinner and he asked how he could help us....pretty obvious when you come into a restaurant what you are looking for. The water in the pool was hot. Lovely for me but my hubby not so much. Also we could not find a towel

This place has a higher cost and is outdated. Lots of weird smells. People smoking all over. Staff seem so uninterested in their jobs and weed smell coming from staff areas. Its not that its horrible, it just seems like it has not been updated for 50 years and isn't worth the cost that they are charging. If the charge was 180 instead of 300 I think that would have made it seem more like \"Well you get what you paid for\".

Wonderfully large and very warm and beautiful indoor and outdoor pools. Super large a super warm heated by hot springs.

Views are partially not as good as pictures. Looking at parking lot or a fenced in hot spring pond and roof type structure over the former hot springs bathing areas.

Awesome water slide. Good food. Very warm atmosphere in lodge. They charged a resort fee that I thought was included in my Expedia total.

They do not do housekeeping!! You’re supposedly supposed to ask 24 hours in advance. We were there 4 days and finally had to ask for towels. Restaurant is run down but extremely pricey. Bathtub clogged up Remotes didn’t work. WiFi sucks!!! No Netflix or movies. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Nice area

Girls trip 2025. The space in the rooms was amazing. Stayed in the Gregson Suite (sleeps 1-10 people). The for sure needed BIGGER garbage cans. The air conditioner didn't work very well at all! I woke up throughout the night sweating. Almost like just the fan was running. Not so fun when you wear a cpap mask/machine to breathe. All in all it was a good trip. The rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Wish checkout would have been 12 noon so we could have swam in the morning.

Hot spring are great, how ever all the pools are chlorinated. Ate in the cafe on sute, took over an hour and half to get our food, each time we ate, ate there 2 times. Maybe it was just luck of the draw, repeating. Fodd was average. Rooms are pricey for just a room.

We booked through expedia, but when we arrived they told us they had our reservation for a different month and were all booked up. Thankfully a manager effectually came and gave us a room. Only other complaint is that multiple rooms didn't have warm water to shower with on Sunday morning. The things we did like: room was clean, the kids really loved the slide and it was a perfect speed for the whole family to enjoy. The pools were large and one of the life guards even broight us pool toys to use. The lounge is comformable and the lobby is a nice place to hang out.

Bathtub faucet in bathroom did not shut off completely and there was a steady stream of water running

If you get the family suit it doesn't come with a full kitchen as pictured. Was going to make brunch and dinner with ny girlfriends, to save some money. All we had was a microwave.
Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. The place was beautiful and clean
