Property is right on the beach giving it good location. However it should be noted that swimming has been prohibited since October 2025 due to pollution.
All staff very polite although Marcella in the cafe bar stands out for excellent service.

Great stay in Arrecife

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Diamar. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were happy to get a sea-facing room. We found the hotel to be very quiet, which was nice. The staff were very friendly. We didn't pay extra for breakfast or dinner, though the buffet menus looked good — more generally we liked eating at the nearby bars and restaurants, which seemed to be frequented by locals. We liked the location on the water and boardwalk. Overall Arrecife feels less touristy than elsewhere on the island, which we liked too. We had a car, and while we would have been terrified to use the (small) parking garage if it were full, it luckily never was and so there was plenty of room to maneuver. We would recommend staying in Arrecife and in this hotel!

I liked the elevator, the room/balcony, the easiness of entering into the room and inserting your card.

One thing I didnt like was the elevator electrics cupboard making noises when operating, its a bit loud especially at night when it's silent, but theres not much you can do about that so its understandable.

OK Hotel

This is obviously a well used hotel in a really good and quiet location. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
The room was clean and comfortable although getting a little tired. For example you had to stand against the wall in the bath to get under the water from the shower. The water in the toilet cistern did not completely shut off and was constantly dripping, no problem during the day but very annoying through the night.

Friendly staff in the evening shift. We were able to leave our bags before and after check-out. The front desk organised taxis for us and provided a map. We chose this hotel as its near to the bus station and its also by the beach.

The cleanliness was superb. I wiped the room with my own cleaning wipes and there was no dust at all. The housekeeping do a very thorough clean between guests.

Als 4 Sterne Hotel unakzeptabel. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im ersten Stock für 3 Personen. An Schlaf war nicht zu denken, Gäste gingen ein und aus und unterhielten sich lautstark. Selbst bei geschlossenen Fenstern war es so laut, dass man nicht schlafen konnte. Auch kamen Gäste noch gegen 1.30 Uhr und zwar direkt über unserem Zimmer.
Eine Beschwerde brachte keine Änderung, es wurde angeregt die Fenster zu schließen! Die Air-Condition in Hause war angeblich auf 20 Grad gestellt, bei uns waren es über 25 Grad! Nach wenigen Minuten war Ruhe versprochen, was leider nicht zu traf.s ging noch lange laut weiter.
Eine Entschädigung erfolgte nicht, obwohl wir morgens befragt wurden ,ob alles in Ordnung gewesen sei.
Das Hotel ist allgemein in die Jahre gekommen und befindet sich direkt an der Hauptverkehrsstraße.
Personal gab es kaum, man war aber um Freundlichkeit bemüht, was uns auch nicht weiter half.

i had paid for halfboard which i thought included breakfast and evening meal. Was told it only included breakfast so i had to pay €12 for buffet meal. Pretty sure this is incorrect as the breakfast plus room option was cheaper by £10.

WE liked how close the hotel was to the bus stop, giving us access to around the Island. Also we could step
out the door and cross a quiet road to the beach. It was a quieter place to stay than Porto Carmen etc but easy to get there on the bus and very good cheap fares.

The situation was great. A very decent beach just over the road. The hotel was pleasant enough and reception service was good. Our problem was with the bed which was awful. We turned the mattress over and then slept on the duvet instead of under it to soften it up a bit and stop some of the noise from the matress cover. We didn't complain, probably ought to have done. The food was ok. Basic. The dining room is like a very clean waiting room. Plants and pictures would make a big difference. We just didn't want to be in there. Nice service.

Location was marvellous, beachfront with lovely views. Bus from airport drops off 300 yards away and costs about £1-50. Breakfast was ok, dining room is a bit utilitarian but functional. Staff very helpful at all times. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Cleaned every day with new towels as required. Great value for money.

The location was excellent, and the front facing balcony rooms have a great view and are above the traffic with all day sunshine when we were there in January. The hotel was clean and functional and the staff were friendly enough, but not doing anything special to make you feel more welcome. Overall for the price bracket of the hotel it was a very good experience, I've stayed in better/nicer/friendlier hotels, but probably none better value for money, so have to say I'd highly recommend it if this is the price you want to pay.

Our biggest complaint would be the noise that the chairs make on the tiled floor. It is extremely annoying and can be heard from the room above and the rooms either side. Guests and residents were critical of the food quality. We choose to eat off premise.

Room cannot be faulted.
Comfortable, clean and spacious.
Bathroom was good, too. Water hot and plentiful.
Bath had couple of rust marks.

Breakfast was varied and although not everything to my taste there was never any chance of us going hungry.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good location for beach, transport, dining and drinking.

TV not so good for English language eg no BBC world.

All in all, an enjoyable stay in a good hotel.

Difficult parking

Given its location right on the water, it is, of course, difficult to park and even to drive around the area. While the hotel offers parking on a fee basis, guests have to try to snare a temporary slot in front, then enter the hotel, provide documents, and then drive all the way down the street and then back, to another street behind, to access the parking. The remote to open the garage door that they gave me was less than responsive (it took several tries to get it to work), and although i was able to park easily enough, and the back door of the hotel is just across the street and down from the parking garage, there is no access from that side, so you have to walk around to the front of the hotel again (with luggage) to get back in. Then, to leave, one of the hotel staff members has to accompany you to back to the garage to open it so you don't have to drive around the block again to return the remote. Very poorly planned out!

We had two sea view balcony rooms and they were very clean and useable. No kettle, no iron and a poor hairdryer. In fact our main problem was no hot drink in the morning. We were room only and were never encouraged to eat at the hotel. This was fine as there are so many eateries in the vacinity. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful.

This was a good no frills hotel right across from the sea. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The sea view room was very nice and I recommend it. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was clean. Water pressure good too.

The location had good transport links being so close to the bus station and the airport. You can catch the local buses to other parts of the island, join guided tours and get the airport bus easily.

The breakfast was pretty standard. Plenty to choose from but it wasn’t anything beyond standard.

All in all, I was happy with my stay in Arrecife at Hotel Diamar. It was very relaxing.

Nice Hotel, lovely and clean, great location and beautiful views of the beach and Fuerteventura in the distance. The staff were extremely helpful with any queries regarding excursions and transport around the island.
We had the B&B deal with sea view. The sea view is highly recommended especially to have a balcony for afternoon/evening laziness. The breakfast was mediocre at best, but no different to many other buffet style breakfasts I've had. It's enough to get you through the day, which is the point.
The TV had a large range of channels of varying languages (mostly sport channels) but no way to watch the F1 (no real surprise there).
All in all very happy with our hotel and was sad to leave.

I stayed just the one night, before I flew home from holiday. Having sought out a budget price I was impressed with the hotel. Lovely clean spacious twin room. Modern decor, large screen tv, lovely tiled floors in the room and bathroom. The staff were prompt, efficient, and friendly. Situated on the road opposite the beach it was ideal for a final sunbathe and swim. Breakfast was simple, but plentiful and lots of choice from a fry up to continental breads, hams and cheese.

No pool but sea straight across road. Well situated for bus station. I found it great base nice spanish resort. Not full of bars or English bars and meals.
Great cycling 24 miles flat. Loads of bike hire available.
It really is great. Also bar and diner. Although I had my own breakfast.
Great value 3 course meal not the best but well worth it.

Staff were nice and helpful especially when I needed extra blankets, help printing my boarding pass etc. Bar staff always asked if I wanted anything, I got a free coffee once.

I liked the breakfast buffet and dinner buffets. As a vegetarian there were enough dishes for me to have proper meals.

My hotel room was clean, spacious, lots of storage space etc. It was cleaned every day so always looked good. Cleaners were all polite. I appreciated the dining table and chairs. There were always lots of films coming on the TV channels, I didn't mind they were in Spanish.

Location is good, convenience shops, restaurants, cafes, dessert places etc nearby. Spar supermarket nearby and a wonderful souvenir shop. Back streets also had cafes and restaurants. The beach was just across the road and it had rock pools too.

Parks were also close by as were the tourist sites including a lagoon, marina and fort castle.

It was a special occasion when I went so people were in fancy dress, there was a stage with a DJ, a band, food stalls and one evening there was a fantastic carnival with drummers, dancers, fancy dress etc.

We love this hotel - located directly opposite the beach and walking distance to the centre and the beautiful Charco San Gines. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is close to bars, restaurants and shopping. A great central base to see the island too.

The hotel is in a good position overlooking promenade and beach - close to a bus station.walking to the lagoon for restaurants etc takes about 15 minutes. The rooms are comfortable and it's worth paying extra for a sea view and balcony. The main reception area is rather stark and doesn't look inviting. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice of food. The rooms were clean - bathrooms a little dated. Beds would be more comfortable if they didn't have a rubber sheet as a mattress cover. I stayed there in January and it can be cold in the evenings as there is no heating.

Perfect accommodation for weekend break

I stayed at this hotel looks on a wend break. It's perfectly located if you do not want to stay in the busy Puerto del Carmen area and close to the airport. The area is quiet and perfectly situated opposite a lovely beach! I was not expecting much but was impressed at the cleanliness of the rooms as that is my no 1 wants when staying in a hotel. Standard is similar to a travel lodge you know what you are getting and that's honest accommodation. Breakfast is good. Lots of choice. We didn't eat dinner so cannot comment. Puerto del Carmen is a 15 min bus ride away from the hotel. Bus stop is a 5 min walk turn right outside the hotel and you will eventually come to a bus stop. It cost 1.75 euros to Puerto del Carmen. We ventured into the old town for meals which served more traditional menus rather than usual fast food. You will not be stuck for restaurants, actually too much choice!
Also worth mentioning you can get the bus to the airport too from same bus stn. Taxi from airport is 12 euros. Also its worth upgrading to a beach facing room as the view is great.
Reception and restaurent staff were very helpful and welcoming.
To make my stay perfect I would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in room and perhaps a couple English speaking TV channels as I only found 1.
I would stay here again.

Hotel is in a fantastic position opposite the beach it is well worth upgrading room to a sea view ( if your up early you can see the cruise ships coming in ,usually about 6 ) bicycles can be hired at 5 euros for whole day, there is a hire shop next door for all sea activities. It’s silly little things like no table cloths that stops it from rising to a four star but the price would go up, Breakfast & dinner are buffet style so you can eat as much as you like all prices are very reasonable.

The hotel is well located and easy to find; close to the airport and within walking distance of Arrecife's main restaurants and entertainment venues. Our room was clean and with a very nice terrace overlooking the beach right in front. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the hotel non-smoking policy is not enforced and we dealt with cigarrete smoke coming through the air vents for most of our stay, with little help offered by the hotel staff.

Very good hotel with great beach access.

We came for week of doing very little other than relax and enjoy sunshine and warmth and the Hotel Diamar met the criteria. Our sixth floor room was spacious and comfortable and the balcony had a fantastic view of the beach and sea and from it we could watch the sunrise and the sunset. In other words, the balcony had the sun the whole day long! There was decent selection of food at breakfast and food and drink was available most of the day in the cafe/restaurant. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the fact this wan't a resort style hotel which meant it was surprisingly quiet and Arrecife was a proper town with a whole range of shops, restaurants and historic buildings.

Great location

The staff make this hotel, from reception to housekeeping to maintenance, sea view is a must, we upgraded without a problem, reception staff very friendly and competent, housekeeping staff were excellent as was maintenance guy, hairdryer, air conditioning fixed within an hour, asked for coffee making facilities, there within the hour, view from sea view room is outstanding, would recommend this place without a doubt

Disappointing dining experience

We had the pleasure of half board which was very disappointing the buffet evening meal consisted of 1 vegetarian, 1 meat and 1 fish option every night this is definitely a budget holiday hotel. In addition mixed veg the type that comes frozen in a packet or potatoes were on offer and a reasonably stocked salad bar. Often we had to wait 20 mins for the meal trays to be refilled or if we arrived before they had been refilled the servings were very dried up.

To our surprise for half board all drinks even bottled water was chargeable. Most nights the meat dishes looked like the previous days servings made into a new dish. Also for desert I think the chef had bought a 100 recipes for using a banana book as every night banana featured.

The dining area had 2 eating areas the first at the rear of the hotel which was a dark room with a pretty unpleasant toilet odour the 2nd area was next to the bar opening out onto the road where various non hotel guest would frequent the transport cafe type area with it's loud and overbearing TV often showing live TV for the locals to enjoy.
Similarly breakfast was very basic and lacked choice, the milk was always room temperature so not very pleasant for use on cereal.
My recommendation would be to spend a little more money and stay in one of the other hotels in the area until the dining facilities have been upgraded the cafe area has been separated and the chef has been replaced and a new menu put in place with more variety and choice.

Nice hotel, great location!

My daughter and I stayed for 6 days, had a twin room with a sea view and we had a pleasant stay. Restaurants are just down the road, and the staff were very nice and helpful! Would definitely go back!

Great stay

Stayed here for 9 nights for a summer holiday and would recommend Hotel Diamar! Very clean and staff are very friendly. Located straight across the road from the beach and plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars surrounding the area. Very close to the bus station and would highly recommend getting the 10 minutes bus ride into Puerto del Carmen where it's a bit more lively and busy with lots of lovely restaurants to eat in and do a bit of shopping! Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again, hotel had all the basic facilities we were looking for. One thing I would recommend is to bring your own hair dryer, the one provided is a bit useless, but other than that no complaints
