The staff were really friendly and courteous.The rooms are very basic and dated.The bathroom has a shoeer over the bath which is a big climb in and the water gets on the floor.The bathroom does smell.The beds are comfortable but only one small pillow.The furniture is all chipped and the sliderobe was cracked on the glass.zThe cabinet holding the fridge was hanging apart Only one socket in the room and no sockets near the bed.Aside from this the place was kept very clean but definitely needs a big refurbishment.The food was poor and didnt avail of it after1 day even though we had paid for breakfast as it wasnt great. The swimming pool areas were lovely.The gym was basic but closed early at 18.00.

Whole building was very run down, and could do with a freshen up, stains sheets, rooms where cleaned daily even if we were greeted with a cockroach when we arrived back to our room.

Food wasn’t great especially the burger place!

Spa was lovely.

Cups were dirty and have to rent them for €1

Felt as if we were an inconvenience for the staff at restaurant/buffet, we ate elsewhere which was a shame as we paid for all inclusive

It was the first time we stayed here i thought the hotel was a little run down time for a refit no kettle in the room and the first time i ever paid a deposit on a plastic pool glass thought that was a bit of a joke the area outside the hotel really good centre plenty of good bars and food probley wouldnt stay at the hotel again would recomend for young familys not couples

The 1st sea room was not the best with a palm tree & car park. Had to ask reception to move rooms as we had paid for the upgrade. Room was tired, lack of amenities, 1 bottle of water. The pool was decent and heated. Many bars to drink at. The food was nothing to write home about, as All Inclusive, we went out and ate. The Italian restaurant food was below par, tasteless sauces. Lunch had pigeons trying to eat it as it wasnt covered so that put us off.
Would not recommend, definitely 3 star and not 4 and would not stay there again.

Place seemed a bit tired decoratively. Hotel management seemed a bit over-keen on rules and less focussed on the customer experience. For example, no information provided on wi-fi or how to contact reception on the room phone or where the restaurants were, but extensive rules on what to put in the safe or when you could have your patio door open were prominent. Restaurant food borderline ok, but you won’t be raving about any of it. Didn’t use the pool area because of the extraordinary lounger charge - 55 euro per day for 2! Be aware!

Room was in very bad condition stains on the ceiling and walls, furniture and doors falling to pieces and unsafe also no sockets we had booked a superior room and it looked nothing like the pictures. The food however was great and the staff were very nice the outside pool area and animation team were also fantastic. The location was perfect right on the beach and next to the square with a beautiful walk into Puerto del Carmen over all an ok hotel if they had the rooms upgraded it would be fab.

Great location right on the first line of beach away from the PDC hustle and bustle but still only €6 in a taxi to get there.
Hotel is vey clean and I definitely recommend the superior rooms as the standard are much older and in need of renovation.
We went all inclusive and there was a great selection of food and drinks available. Id give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.

The hotel is in a good location for the beach and nearby bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotels policy in relation to the amount charged for the use of the in room safety deposit box is disappointing, they know you need one to keep passport and valuables safe and yet charge you €4 a day which reflects poorly on the hotel when it is for the safety of guests belongings and you have little choice but to pay it. Also disappointed with the policy not to allow the AI drinks for the area which shows sport (football) as the entertainment bar was of no interest but watching the occasional football match on TV in the evening was.

Nice Hotel

We stayed on a half board basis at the Beatriz in late March. We have stayed here on a number of occasions in the past. The hotel is well located near the Centro Commercial in Matagorda. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and cleanliness very good. The food, though quite good, was not as good as I found it in the past.
I have however a number of suggestions which I would like the hotel to consider:
1. Publish the dinner menu each day either by displaying it on a notice board or online so guests could see what is on the menu each evening.
2. During my stay I saw a number of guests including small children slipping when entering the pool on the slope (I wasn't one of them). The surface at that end of the pool seemed unsuitable. I would suggest that the surface be recoated with a non-slip surface for safety reasons.
Overall the stay was very enjoyable and I would recommend the hotel and I hope my 2 suggestions above are given some attention.

We found this shows up the worst of all inclusive where hotels also operate a pay as you go.
Only 2 bars open in the evening a terrible show bar with very poor choice of drinks, uncomfortable seats and special all inc glasses.
The other sports bar is like being in a different era. comfy chairs, nice screens, decent glasses and excellent drinks choice. However its pay only. Get the impression once you have paid the all inc price, they give you rotten standards. Better to go breakfast only as miles better just outside and beter value

Nice hotel, convenient for family with children. What it really needs is to repair mini golf court and much more improve cleanness of dishware, it was sometimes disgusting (plates, cava glasses) and improvement of some staff attitude (to be more friendly and not so nasty).

Booked superior room , lovely shower, big room. Food v good. Plenty sun beds, 15 min in taxi to airport. Nice spa.
No WiFi in room& poor WiFi at pool.
No kettle in room, hire it at front desk.
Safe is 4euro per day.
Hotel needs updating however it is clean & good location. Aircraft noise didn’t bother me but you are pretty much on the end of the runway.

The hotel is in a great location next to the promenade, great for walking, running and cycling etc. Not so good though if you want to be in the thick of the action.

We had a standard that iwas spacious and clean if perhaps a little dated (no complaints from us though for the price we paid).

The food is typical All Inclusve but we liked having a choice for lunch.

Our only real gripe was the quality of the wi-fi which regularly \"dropped out\" and needs to be better (this was my second visit and the same occurred on my previous visit).

We would return at the right price.

Hi, I would have given it 5 stars as it was good value for money and the staff were nice BUT the WiFi didn’t work in my room and apparently in the whole section my room was in. I spoke to the man in charge at the reception and he told me- 1) it was my fault, 2) it was my phone’s fault, 3) he would call maintenance. When I asked to change rooms , he admitted the WiFi didn’t work in any of the suites. I said I will take a smaller room than I paid for as I have to work on holiday. He then said the hotel was fully booked. This is total monkey business and unprofessional

By the beach/sea with lovely restaurant staff!

It’s a practical room , pretty big, with nice sofa and little fridge.
The hotel is by the sea and beach, which is best thing for me.
The other great thing is all the waitresses and waiters and specially the chefs ( Tony and Luis and a lady waitress I forgot her name) are so friendly and so lovely and helpful!
I am here working and competing so being in a quiet, practical and relaxing place is just what I needed.

We had no internet, one English tv channel, wall cracked all way down patio door, one socket by tv , we had to go and buy extension lead to charge phones.
It was an older room as we wanted a bath tub but that should mean the standards of the room was so poor,

Serious maintenance required in my room. Inadequate facilities, no bin in the main areas only in the toilet, dressing table but no chair available?? Lack of plug sockets, only 1 in bathroom or unplug the TV. Peeling and scuffed walls. Needed woodwork refurbishing. The room I was originally offered I would have had to walk through an area covered in water from a leaking roof? No danger signs ? I actually mentioned it to reception as I had mobility problems so I was offered another room close to an elevator as I mentioned my mobility. The nearest elevator did not work. Overall not worth the money, stayed in much better for a lot less money. It appears everything questioned they say \"see reception\". The staff on reception are pleasant but I think some of the areas of complaint are well out of their control. Would never return to this hotel. Paid for buffet as only staying one night ( thank goodness) it was mediocre some of the dishes were tepid and unpleasant. Had much better in other hotels. It appears that some of the staff in the restaurant are not as amenable. I asked as I would miss breakfast ( early flight) could they do anything, they said \" see reception\" i had already asked reception and they said No.
WiFi reception poor, again on asking reception they said because there was no sun try another room ? That was when I encountered the water which was a danger area. This was only rectified by cordoning off after I had told them about it. Overall a very bad experience!!

Pillows are flat and not even worth having. View from junior suite is poor-a brick wall with a few plants...room 1047.
Food is bland and repetitive. Snacks outside of meal times are scarce. Can't even get a mouthful of food after 9pm. Staff look unhappy and disinterested with the exception of animation team who work hard in a dated environment. Raised all these issues with a manager who offered no goodwill gesture. Games in arcade room are broken and worn out-be prepared to lose your money. Save up and go to a better hotel!

Nice hotel, staff all very friendly and helpful. There is no kettle in room but asked at reception and given one straight away. Pool towel available so no need to use up suitcase space packing one. Really close to airport €11 in taxi took about 10 minutes. Great walkway straight outside that goes all the way along the coast, you can have a lovely long walk and a short (10 mins) walk round to the end of the runway if you want to sit on the beach and watch the planes landing/taking off. TV only had BBC News in English. Food was ok, always found a few options to eat but unfortunately never hot, luke warm if lucky mostly cold. If you’re all inclusive drinks are on tap/pump to help yourself so easy and convenient.

Our second trip to the Beatriz Playa and once again we had a lovely time. Still managed to get lost in the complex though! Food was varied and tasty, enjoyed a meal at the Oriental restaurant one night. Easy access to the beach promenade which is a lovely flat walk. Just one suggestion (same one as last year). There was very little low level seating round the bar area, just three chairs for disabled and actually room at the back for at least another two tables. The tall bar seating is a struggle for the elderly/those with mobility issues.

I asked a room with a disabled shower on the ground floor for my mother and I was given a room with a bath on the 2nd floor. She was unable to get into the bath and therefore every evening I had to bring everything down to the showers at the gym to help her wash which wasn't private

This property was very disappointing. Hated the open design. Kids running round corridors all day shouting uncontrolled, noisier than the aircraft flying by! Glad we didn’t buy all inclusive, people we spoke to said food was awful, for example, no meat in lasagne! We bought a meal in pizza place, cheap and nasty food! Was refunded money due to being rushed out by staff who started clearing everything away 5 minutes after we arrived! Good things were: very comfortable beds and great shower. Maids were a bit mean with shower gel, only replaced once. I cannot recommend the Beatriz, was wanting to stay here for a while, paid for superior room, nothing superior about it, looked nothing like picture of room on booking site! Asked for facing airport, didn’t get it!

Lovely, spacious, well-equipped room with balcony, very comfy beds and good sized bathroom. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Plenty of space & lots of sunbeds around the 2 pools, one of which was heated. The food was very good and there was always loads of choice - freshly cooked meat & fish, salads, pasta, pizza, stew, lots of different veg & potatoes plus fresh fruit, cakes & deserts. The spa pool was well worth a visit for an extra 12€ for 2hrs. Great location right on the seafront with a long, flat pedestrianised promenade all along the coast. Very close to the airport (lots of low-flying planes coming & going but not a problem at all!). Would definitely be happy to go back and would recommend to others.

Overall stay in this hotel was great. I spent only a week in January '23. Location of the hotel is fantastic! So close to sea and good place for a nice long walk. Almost all rooms above ground floor have sea view or at least limited sea view. I did not pay extra for sea view but from my balcony ( 2nd floor) the view was absolutely astonishing.
Hotel workers are very nice and polite. Receptionists very helpful.
Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are a bit outdated but spacious and clean.
I would say this hotel is 8/10 :)

Spent a week over New Year and had a very pleasant relaxing time. The hotel itself is in need of some TLC. The decor is dated. We were here 22 years ago and it hasn't changed at all. Despite that, it is clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious with a longe area. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the bedding is of a good quality. The outdoor areas are plentiful and well looked after. As the hotel was full, there was a problem with guests reserving sunbeds from early morning.
We decided on all inclusive because it was very good value. We had no intention of eating there everyday. Although we didn't have lunch there everyday, we ended up eating dinner every evening. Unless there was something very specific you wanted, the quality and choice were as good if not better than most local restaurants. My only issue was lack of choice for vegetarians. However, that's common in Spain. We didn't participate in the evening entertainment but it seemed varied.
The location is excellent. Beach front and 5 mins from the airport. There are buses to other areas on the island and a cycle path from PDC to Arricife. The staff were friendly and efficient. I really have to praise the first aid guy at the pool. He patched me up after a bike accident. He did a fantastic job.

Shame, nice hotel but too many problems to return

I have thought long and hard about this review as although hotel itself is fine there were so many negatives it is first of 50 plus hotels been to in recent years I would not go back to. First the positives, nice big hotel, good amenities, nice staff, particularly housekeeping. Good size room , balcony, bathroom with rainfall walk in shower.
Now the not so good news.
Whilst it is a reasonable distance from airport (5 minute drive) it is right at end of resort, right next to incoming flight path. Very noisy jets start around 07.00 and continue past 22.00 coming in at rooftop height. When I went to pool in morning at times they were coming in every couple of minutes.
Pool itself was a problem, hotel welcome pack advises cannot reserve chairs with towels etc. and that items would be removed, they were not. Every morning I was there it got worse with maybe 50% + 'reserved' before 09.00. I know multiple people complained including myself. I was just shown policy on welcome pack, when I explained I was happy with that but not that no enfoecement was done I got nowhere not even fobbed off with 'I will talk to manager' .
On arrival Hotels.com review I reported my AC was very noisy compared to 20 or so other hotels I have stayed in this year. Nothing happened, No tea/coffee making, in room a first for a 4 star. My current 3 star in Barcelona at least has signs at reception/lifts of items provided free upon request, including kettle, adapters etc. I got both quickly.

Outdated hotel. In the day you can do things like the pool, sunbeds and go to the spa (although this is a paid extra). Wouldn’t recommend all inclusive food was awful - didn’t eat dinner for 2/3 of the nights as it was so bad. They also advertise 5 restaurants but this is a lie as only 2 were open during our time - one was open for one night and it was terrible. Entertainment is very poor in evening. Not worth the money.

We also had stains in the bed on first night and there was no real urgency or apology from staff. They just sent up a spare sheet for us to replace.

An okay hotel - just okay!

An okay hotel - just okay - but honestly don't think I would stay again. Aside from the fact a lot of facilities were closed, the condition of our room left a lot to be desired - railing hanging off in the bathroom, scrapes all over the walls, no spare pillows or sheets and air conditioning that was like a tractor when in use. We visited 2nd time this hotel, in Christmas Time pool is heating also in summer two from 3 are heating but it is not necessary. Food is good, fat cook mischievous but others nice, room we have superior and was ok but wall they can paint if is little mess, I think cleaning lady can do it. Very good location, to ocean after hotel fence, to town can walk, to shops 10 min. I think that only superior room have standard for 4* if u wanna be happy take superior, probably £100 more but worth.

Just ok....

Reasonable hotel, stayed for 3 nights in a new room paid 500 euros all-inclusive. Feel the value for money wasn't there. None of the complaints stems from COVID measures the hotel did a good job of implementing them and feeling safe.

- Food, was very poor. Poor selection, unknown meats stated as beef and pork. We own restaurants and a family farm. No children's section, only chips which were always undercooked.

- Drinks, cheap cheap spirits drank the gin the first day, ended up with a head ake, never touched it again. No option to upgrade was seen or offered.

Pool - Plenty of room and space only 1/4 of the beds were ever used.

Room - Just ok, paid for the upgrade happy we did, only one English channel, which as BBC news. Beds reasonable and comfortable, sheets very hard and Towles like sandpaper.

Looking forward to a spa as the UK ones are closed, was closed Sunday & Monday so wasn't able to use it and it costs 12 euros for any resident.

Location - Very far out from the main area about a 45 min walk along the beach, lovely place and close to the airport if you like plane spotting.

Overall a just ok holiday for a few days away for a change, we would maybe go back but choose another hotel.

Stayed for one night as our flight was cancelled. Rooms had recently been refurbished and were very nice. The rest of the hotel was tired and in need of some up-dating. Food was OK, but facilities were old.

Staff on the whole helpful/friendly especially the ‘fun’ team-except checkin/out staff.
Room had been updated & was very nice but the outside of property was shabby & inside was dark & depressing. They need to sound proof the entertainment area as until midnight I had no peace-& was 2 floors above it!! The constant sound of running water from internal waterfall was annoying until it stopped late evening. What annoyed me most was being offered an upgrade to a sister hotel which I accepted but was told the offer had been withdrawn as the hotel was full- but that was a lie as you could book there on line & I had cycled to it & the staff told me the hotel was nearly empty!!

Convenient for airport

We stayed there one night after arriving late at the airport. Room was spacious and lovely shower room. 24 hour reception, good breakfast and car hire companies on the doorstep but can't comment on how it would be for a longer stay

Happy with Beatriz playa hotel

The plus of Beatriz playa hotel is undoubtedly outdoor heated pool and spa with heated pool.had refurbished room (supirior)and its spasiouse with balcony.the food is fine,plus its always 2 choices of soup every evening.airport 5min away. Beach front located with lovely promenade to walk (+rent bike options ) towards playa Honda or playa del Carmen with restaurants and shops. Boisphera mall is short taxi ride as well as Dilano mall.All family well entertained here,photografers available.shops with english press inside hotel.General atmospfere is very pleasant here.

The hotel boasts a great beachfront location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. There was daily room service. I felt the room was dated and requires a repaint. The meals are buffet style with great choice and plenty of food. There is plenty of onsite facilities i.e. spa, gym, nightly entertainment.

Nice hotel, mostly great staff but disturbed from 7 in the morning by aircraft noise. Be aware the airport is not far from hotel. Was dissapointed by the food, it let the place down, was not much variety. I would say don’t visit the The burger bar the burgers are disgusting, don’t bother with the Italian or Chinese’s restraint they are nothing special. Overall I would say the food is mediocre.

Very good family holiday, can’t fault the hotel or its surroundings.

Close to the airport, and some may say this is a bad thing, but we weren’t bothered by it at all.

Entertainment is loud on a night and may interfere with an early nights sleep depending on room location.

Other than that excellent 👍👍

Stayed 5 nights with my son and had a wonderful time.

Pros - Staff, location, reception area, gym, spacious rooms and spa

Cons - Rooms are so dated and need urgent upgrade, restaurant food is poor choice & quality ( Hotel has halted size of buffet area in recent years)

Overpriced and not 4 star

This is not a 4 star hotel. I feel ripped off - it is a 3 star at best and I think I've been grossly overcharged considering what we paid. Everything was a hidden extra charge which should have been included if these a genuine 4 star- rental of the room safe, use of an iron, use of a kettle, use of pool towels, use of indoor pool. The gym was pathetic - not useable with no free weights or kettle bells in sight. We paid for a superior room with a sea view- we got a basic room with single beds and a partial sea view at best. The room was in need of repair and I didn't feel was cleaned - the floor was filthy. The breakfast area was not clean- bird poo everywhere, dirty table cloths, dirty cups. It's advertised as Puerto del carmen but it shouldn't be as it's over an hour walk (we're fast walkers!).
I'm delighted we didn't go for any all inclusive offers as I heard there were hidden extras in this also.
On checking in we were given no information on anything and had to find everything for ourselves- had no idea where breakfast was served, where the bar, gym or indoor pool were.
I didn't find any of the staff any way friendly especially the pool towel attendant who was downright rude. The staff in the spa were nice

Found reception staff unfriendly and not welcoming.For a four star hotel,is was shabby and in need of a complete make over.There was a terrace off my room,that was locked for security reasons,but why have a table and chairs there for sitting out??? There was no Wifi free except in a lounge area, and no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. These a the normal expectations in a 4star hotel, at least the ones I have stayed in.The high point of my stay was breakfast, which was excellent

Large modern hotel close to beach

Room very comfortable,food excellent, some handles,taps to be tightened,but doing up hotel for the summer(went in February),so this will be dealt with,plenty of sun loungers ,staff very friendly and helpful, evening entertainment for adults will probably improve as the season progresses,yes under plane flight path,but soon got used to it and it became non-intrusive and never at night. Children seemed personally fond of the Animation team Ease of access to the promenade and shops a definite bonus.Tours guide advice excellent as were the tours.Only 5euro taxi to centre of Puerto del Carmen if desired.Very clean,nicely designed public areas
