The hotel is clean and walking distance to nice bars and restaurants. Staff were also friendly and accommodating, although reception service could be pretty slow at times.
For us, the food was dreadful - we went for dinner on our first night and left without eating the meal. We didn’t eat in the hotel at all for the remainder of our holiday.
There was no water in the room and when I asked for a bottle of water I was advised it wasn’t part of the AI package but I could have a small paper cup of water.
The hotel is also really in need of refurbishment - there is plaster hanging off walls, the fire alarm was held in a bracket as it had fallen off and the wire was exposed.
For what we paid, I would have expected much more. I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Fabulous room - we were lucky enough to be upgraded. The food is some of the nicest I’ve had. The staff were brilliant - so friendly. Overall a wonderful hotel.

Our first time staying at this hotel and overall its fine, positives are its quiet but ideally located for the beach and the strip of Puerto del carmen, plenty of parking and the pool areas.
The main issue is the restaurant, breakfast starts at 8am so everyone is coming in at the same time so most days we didn't even get a cup so had to use paper ones, only 1 toaster machine and needed more staff as so busy trying to clean up tables, the food was okay with plenty of choice but could have been hotter.
I think they need to re think the restaurant opening times to smooth out the busy periods, dinner was a similar experience.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but would not go back.

We had a ground floor room. Our patio door didn't lock when we arrived on the Monday. We reported it straight away then again later on that day it took until Thursday to get it fixed despite reporting it twice/three times each day. We had to stay around our pool as we didn't want to leave our apartment unlocked and had the expense of hiring a safe. There was a small bar at our pool with soft drinks, water, beer and wine but it was switched off and all covered up so we had to take it in turn to go accross the road to even get a drink of water. There was only one main bar and the spirits were cheap and nasty. This is definitely not a 4* hotel

The property is extremely dated, I would think last decorated in the early '80s. There is little to no amenities along with a budget troff style buffet daily, as part of their 'all inclusive' package.

Loved our 10 day holiday. Excellent food and range of drinks the entire stay. Lovely quiet resort and beautiful beach 10 mins walk. All staff were excellent in customer service and managed remarkably in spite of Covid restrictions.
No Air-con option in our room and it did get very hot at night. Ceiling fan only made very slight difference. Can hire fans from reception.

Ok but needs updating
Myself and mother have just returned from a short break at the hotel it was ok If you just need a base and are planning on going out of an evening but does require updating more 3 star than 4 , food was ok but very repetitive and entrainment was non existent at night . The pool area needs resurfacing but if want cheap and cheerful and are leaving the hotel of evening then it fits it’s purpose .

Not a 4star hotel. Needs updating. We requested a high floor yes we know any request is not guaranteed. What we were given was a low floor room next to reception and the thoroughfare to toilets and restaurant bar. We asked to be moved was told hotel full. Only room available was an apartment which we took. What we didn’t realise there was a delivery EVERY MORNING at 7.30. Reception staff not helpful.

I did not like reception because they did not give us the information to the questions we asked up on arrival. No water in swimming pool toilets, lack of food in the restaurant, very repetitive food and when some of it finishes they do not replace it.

The hotel and our room was in a good location close to pool and beach. Being close to the beach was a bonus. I was happy with the staff everyone including guests were lovely. As in the name of the hotel, it was indeed a relaxing place to be. Really happy. The biggest dissapointment is the room did not have AC. There was only a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Coming in from a hot day felt horrible. The bathroom did not have any fan or air being extracted so the bathroom was very warm all the time and especially after a shower was incredibly humid. Overrall the hotel is lovely and good people working there. Food veriety was good. Needed clearer labels on meats used in things like bolognase or meatball but the chef is always happy to help answer questions.
Sadly at breakfast twice I saw a sausage or bacon piece fall in to the baked beans so isnt helpful maybe to have them so close if you are vegeterian. Overrall food was good. The staff working during meal times cleared up very kindly and were very helpful when asked a question. Always happy which is good to see.

Food was of second rate quality and generally overcooked and left too long on the buffets. Table clearing staff had a habit of removing partially finished plats of food when you went to get a drink or additional food. Desk staff seriously jobsworth when negotiating for a late checkout.

Not a 4 star. Wasn't explained it was apartments and you had to cross the road every time for the food etc. Mind you food was good on the all inclusive. Restaurant staff very friendly ,reception not so friendly. Not as close to beach as advertised. Would not recommend.

Very relaxing 4 day holiday. Excellent staff, food & drink. Clean pools. Apartment was ok a few broken tiles, not the cleanest of fridges. Only down side was very uncomfortable beds (2 singles together) very hard mattress and one pillow each no thicker than my underpants.

The rooms are smashing. Staff always friendly and helpful. Bar area could do with updating but the restaurant is very smart. Cannot fault the food and drink so much choice even for a vegetarian! Could do with resurfacing the pool area. Location is perfect you can walk to the shops or down the long empty beach in five minutes. Over all we've said we would go back which is very rare for us!

My only concern would be that we weren't allowed Tea/coffee facilities with Lunch and Dinner in the Restaurant. You had to go to the bar for it which was a bit strange.

The all inclusive food was great, there was a good selection and the service was excellent. The location of the hotel was ideal, 5 minutes walk from all of the restaurants and bars. I had booked a room expecting a kitchenette (as per the pictures) but I didn't get a room with a kitchenette. It would have been handy with a baby in tow, however the restaurant area had all facilities anyway.

Hotel is nice and big and spread across 400+ Rooms so it's a walk to main restaurant for breakfast- Lunch & Dinner. Biggest disappointment was that there is No WIFI for Apple phones, No Kettle, Cocktails are not fresh they use Slush, overall not a 4 star and wouldn't recommend.

Ole olivina, family rooms are an actual apartment complex across the road away from the main complex. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are hard, road noise loud at times, balcony door kept secure by a steel bar which anyone could remove. Our balcony was fully covered by trees, no view at all, couldn't sit there. Music playing loudly throughout the day.

Only thing letting it down was the standard of the room, there was no air conditioning, no facilities to make hot drinks and bedding not particularly comfy. However, when-all inclusive the room is only really used for sleeping, all day and evening can be spent in the pool(s) and bars.

Lovely hotel just sat back from main strip. Food was good with a great variety. Entertainment team worked hard to get everyone involved. Pools salt water, but this didn't bother us or the kids, who had a great time. Only niggle would be family rooms need a little updating, but we didn't spend much time here and its was more than adequate. We had a birthday fir my daughter whilst there and staff could not do enough for us.

We opted for bed and breakfast as we wanted to explore restaurants for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was very decent. Food was plentiful and fresh. Lots of choice.

Lovely hotel (shame we were opposite a building site/ area of development). Lovely apartment well presented although for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children age 5 and 7) was a bit small or poorly planned . Consists of a bedroom with 2 single beds pushed together in a fair sized room, and a sofa bed and other form of temporary bed in the lounge where the to was meaning we could not sit on balcony or watch tv when kids settling down to sleep otherwise we would have to sacrifice the bedroom and sleep on the sofa and bed separately. Food was fantastic lots of choice, staff in restaurant so hardworking and they love the kids! Rooms cleaned daily except for a Wednesday to a high standard. Endless supply of slushies for kids. Kids club free!! Bonus if your kids want to go , ours opted for the pool everyday which was clean and COLD my kids and husband didn't appear to mind though! Overall loved it would definately return! Close to Rancho Texas too 3euros in a taxi!

Room was very disappointing, felt that as we weren't all inclusive we were given a below standards room that had no facilities for hot drinks and no way of getting one on the resort as bars weren't manned during the day just drinks machines for the use of all inclusive guests. Room was well away from the main area and furniture in the room needed replacing especially the mattresses which were very uncomfortable. The main facilities were good, the food was okay and everywhere in the main part was clean and tidy

A three pin adaptor attached with the plug for the tv,fridge and lamp . Had to drag the furniture to get to the socket and unplug one of these to charge my phone . Wouldn't get this in the third world . Room was also very dated and the room was next to reception and nosey . Walls were paper thin .. I couldn't sleep with the noise of the snores coming from the adjacent room . No way is this anything more then 2 star and over priced too .

Great stay! One of our best hotel experience. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. All inclusive lunch and dinner was well worth it. Only a 10 minute drive to the airport, 10 minute walk to the beach. Hotel was also very kid friendly.

The area surrounding Los piscillos is truly lovely (out of season) and the beach wonderful and expansive. The Hotel Ole Olivina is simply made up of 3 parts,the hotel, apartment block where families are placed and a little complex which is seperate and across the road. It really hasnt decided how it will cater so does half board and all inclusive but doesnt really cater for half board (no provision for snacks at lunchtime. We upgraded as it was cheaper and then you gotwine off the menu at half price!The family rooms in the apartment complex are being upgraded but this only includes boarding up the kitchen with plaster board and sticking a motif on the wall. There is no air conditioning and the bathrooms are like something from the 70's however they are clean. Take a hairdryer as the one in the bathroom is impossible to use and gets too hot to hold. If you are upstairs then be very careful on the stairs as there is very little outside lighting. The pools were far too cold to go in, even for my very water friendly 11 year old. The staff in the restaurant are very lovely and always smiled and chatted to the children. The food was fairly good if a little repetitive, which are all inclusives for you. We did have King pranws, smoked salmon and roast pork and speciality cheeses in the week! In my opinion the accommodation really lets this hotel down and for that reason it is at best a 3star plus hotel. We will return to the area as it was lovely, but definately not the hotel.

Staying before sailing holiday. Just really needed a bed but this is a really comfortable hotel with a good family atmosphere. Food was varied and good quality breakfast and dinner. I put on a pound a day. Glad I didn't go all inclusive but a lot of guests spent all day at hotel, went out in the evening. Hotel has had some use but smart and clean. Staff friendly and efficient. Particularly in the restaurant where they whisk your plate away before you have finished chewing! TV a bit German orientated. Just BBC World, CNN and Bloomberg in english.

Overall a good value and pleasant place
Quiet area but easy walk to centre for bars/restaurants. Also cycle and carhire close by. Cleaning staff excellent, reception ok. Day time activities on offer were a bit lack lustre and half hearted. Restaurant basic in style, a bit like a canteen but food was good. Rooms and beds very comfortable if a bit dated in style. Having booked half board we were offered fully inclusive for just 9 Euros extra per day on arrival and also given free wifi although it says there is a charge.

this hotel, is a well run hotel, with very friendly staff from reception, housekeeping, dining room and bar team to the hotel entertainment team. Everyone is efficient in everything they do to make your stay a nice as possible. The food served in the restaurant reached an acceptable standard throughout my stay, and even though the standard of evening entertainment did reach a high, it wasn't a consistent level, also the actual stage area needs a little upgrade to make the backdrop more professional.

Lovely hotel and staff . This is the second time I have been there . Staff are lovely and friendly and mostly there was a wide range of choice of food . We can't complain . Downfall tho is the bedding is not changed as often and the beds are not made properly . The sheets are just pulled and they are not neat but looking at the bedspread you think bed is done but look at the state of the sheets not impressed .saying this am going back again because I just love the hotel

The hotel itself is nice and clean, the rooms are very dated. Asked for ground floor got top floor. Was moved by management which was nice but room was no better. Electric sockets hanging of walls, hair dryer was older than me and was very difficult to hold as it got too warm. Food seemed to be same everyday. Wasn't over impressed with it either. Spent more time eating out as food to me wasn't cooked enough. I did try a hamburger and bun but when I turned it over and found mould this is when me and my family started eating out more often. Waitress took it away with no apologies. This hotel is in need of a massive refurbishment. I booked this as in the photos it looked really nice and most reviews seemed good. I know everybody sees things differently and this is just based on what I thought.

Pleasant Hotel with very good grounds
Arrived for a ten nights stay on Thursday, check-in was quick and easy, the only problem was that although I had contacted the hotel 14 days prior to arrival requesting an upgraded room for which I was told it would cost an extra 100 euros, to which I agreed to pay, I was informed at check-in that it was now not possible as the hotel was full and they was no way I could upgrade, I was allocated a room in the block down and across the road from the main hotel and this room was on the highest floor in the block, the room itself was ok but because of its location and at the top of 33 steps it caused aggravation to an already torn cartilage for which I had to have medical attention.
The next day I reported this and was informed that I could change rooms but not for another 2 days, our next room was much closer to the hotel and only up 16 steps, less pain on the climb.
The hotel itself is very good and staffed with very pleasant hard working employees, food is good and variable lots of choice so no need for anyone to go hungry, drinks are readily available again with a very good range and choice, nice touch was the choice of branded shots as you enter the restaurant at evening meal.
The next day I reported this and was informed that I could change rooms but not for another 2 days, our next room was much closer to the hotel and only up 16 steps, less pain on the climb.

The hotel is divided into 3 seperete parts, the new part contains reception and the rooms are air conditioned and nice.
However , this only accounts for about 20% of the rooms. The rest are family rooms - what used to be old self catering apartments which are situated over a large area.
These rooms have no air conditioning and are little more than sweat boxes. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom which just swirls the hot air around you . It is impossible to sleep at night .
We complained immediately and said that we would pay for an upgrade, as the receptionist pointed out that our booking through Expedia was for a family room ( I should add that at the time of booking there was no option as to what type of room to book and I would expect a supposed 4 star hotel to be air conditioned ) but were told that the hotel was full.
This ruined our holiday as we were unable to sleep, and numerous other persons were complaining aswell.
I would say that the newer part of the hotel ( with AC ) is probably worthy of 4 star , but the rest is probably 2 star. The room was tatty and worn .
